Chapter 5: Tasks

The microchip hiding inside the Wilderwolves cave showed the red light was turned off, meaning that the recording had stopped and it has reached the timing limit.

It was dawn in the quite forest as the birds were heard singing with a loan figure walking, closer and closer to the cave, it was Jason, coming back to pick the microchip that he had placed last night. Jason wanted to see if he had any recordings from the wolves discussions, hoping he could find something about what the Wilderwolves were planning or what they were up to.

Jason went to the wall and remove the microchip from its hiding position, putting in his back pocket and leaves the cave.

Jason thought to himself: "lets hope I can get something"

Jason then leaves the forest and into walks into the distance.

Flashback

That night Jason, Freddy and Scarlet walking together. Jason was discussing with them both of how he can use the chip, saying he would download the files and format them within an audio software to listen to the recordings and then uncover the plans that the Wilderwolves may have..

Jason told them: "So when I come back in the morning to pick up the chip, I will use an audio software to trim the file, and see if I we get any information from the pack. But if we don't discover anything, I will keep trying until I catch them talking. Do you guys have a laptop I could use?"

Freddy and Scarlet both shook their heads as they did not have a laptop.

Jason: "Right"

Four days later

Jason again visited the cave to pick up his microchip and to check the recordings of the wolves, whilst walking back home Jason felt his phone then noticed he had a message, he read the message, replied to the sender and place his phone back in his pocket

Day 1

At Scarlet's home, inside her room was Freddy, Jason and Scarlet.

Jason was accessing his black case windows laptop, headphones on and was scrolling through the audio files and listening to them. Freddy was siting looking out the window, and Scarlet was using her phone. After some time Jason removed his black headphone and said to his friends with disappointment

Jason: "I got nothing, I will have to hide the microchip again, you guys can relax here while I go and do that"

Freddy and Scarlet both replied together "Ok" and returned to what they were doing, then Jason had an idea and he asked

Jason: "Actually Freddy and Scarlet, do you wanna walk around the town?"

Freddy and Scarlet: "Sure"

Jason got up from his chair and packed up his laptop, Scarlet got up from her bed and puts her phone away, Freddy also got up from the bed. They walked for the door and left the house.

The trio were walking to town when Jason asked Freddy

Jason: "So you can't go back to the academy?"

Freddy: "No, after what my uncle did to me out"

Jason: "More like a bastard to me"

Freddy: "I still love my uncle but he's just hard to deal with"

Jason: "The way I see him he's a bad family member to me, If he doesn't like you that much because of you can transform into a dog and he hates dogs, then thats just something he needs to work on"

Freddy: "And?"

Jason: "Just don't let him mess with your head, just because you are different. Also don't let him have that power over you"

Freddy: "I know but I just don't know how to make him stop"

Jason: "You just have to prove him wrong, and even recording yourself isn't going to work either, you will just have to beat him in his own game"

Freddy: "Yeah, like what way?"

Jason: "Depends, maybe a test?"

Freddy: "Hmm"

Jason: "Like the time when you had to do a race against your friends, which had you to go through"

Freddy was in a little bit of shock: "You saw that too?!"

Jason chuckles a bit: "I came from a another goddamn world, and of course I saw you in that race. What about you were on the top of your home building, the moon appeared and then you roared like a mighty beast that it pushed your uncle off. So you stoped him from transforming dogs into market wigs"

Freddy laughs remembering how he saved all those dogs from been turned into wigs, and how he had beaten his uncle from taking over the dogs

Scarlet curious: "You never told me about that Freddy?, You helped the dogs?"

Freddy replied with embarrassment: "Yes I did, when I first met Batty on the streets while I was out looking for a lost moonstone ring. Together, we discovered some creepy Women who owned the dog pound, she operated a machine that turned dogs into wigs like Jason said. We also found out that my uncle and her were working together"

Scarlet: "That sounds messed up"

Freddy: "Yeah. It does, he only wants the pack in town to be wolves only with no dogs"

Jason: "Yeah speaking of that. Your uncle made a shitty choice to be honest, dogs or not they are always gotta be around within the streets and minding their business until they start making fun of his pack, I understand why they are doing this but having the idea of skinning them is pretty fucked up"

Scarlet: "I agree with you Jason"

Freddy: "So Scarlet, what got you got into hunting?"

Scarlet: "I got into it when I was young when my parents first moved into Milford, everything was fine for a few nights, then often I wasn't sleeping and I started to hear what sounded like something moving so very fast outside, when I went to check out the window to what it was there was nothing. When I went back to sleep I awoke and heard it again, and again I saw nothing still. I had no idea what was outside and when if finally asked my parents about it and they said it was just a dog.

Two years later I was with my parents were in the middle of the night forest camping, while I was sleeping I heard the same sounds of bushes, I looked around and then I saw my first werewolf it was running through the forest, I was shocked.

A few years later I discovered that my grandmother was also a Wolf Hunter, she never told me about it until when I was a little bit older, my parents had also told my grandmother that I had seen a werewolf when were were out camping. So now together with my grandmother we both are hunting wolves, and thats how I first started becoming a Wolf Hunter"

Freddy: "Wow, but if you said you believed that werewolves were cursed, how did you know about it?"

Scarlet: "My grandmother told me about it"

Jason: "Oh"

While walking around the town for a few minutes, Jason realised that he had forgotten to correctly set the microchip and he started cursing to himself

Jason: "Guys I just realised that I forgot to set the time correctly on my microchip"

The three of them then stopped

Scarlet: "what is it?"

Jason: "When I placed the microchip in the cave I set it to start recording straight away but I should have set the timer option that way I could have recorded the times I wanted it to record."

Freddy: "Well will it record through the night then?"

Jason: "Yeah it will but it was meant to record until six, but because I didn't set the timer it started recording earlier and may not record till 6.00"

Scarlet: "So what are you going to do?"

Jason: "I'm thinking I have two opinions. one is that I can turn off the timer and it will just keep recording for 24 hours or until when I press the button, the second option is that I can program the microchip to record for a set time, like for twelve hours or six hours "

Scarlet: "So what are you going to do?"

Jason: "The second option I will program a time on the microchip"

Freddy: "So how long will it take for you to program the microchip?"

Jason: "Like a few hours, the microchip has two USB ports one is used for downloading audio files and the other for programming"

Scarlet: "Ok lets go back to my place and you can do the programming from there"

Jason: "Alright lets move"

So the three started walking back to Scarlet's house so Jason could take his microchip.

Jason was programming a timer for his microchip.

While doing that in Scarlet's room. She and Freddy were in the kitchen getting soft drinks, they then walked back to the bedroom and offered Jason.

Freddy: "Do you want a drink?"

Jason: "Yes please"

Jason continues his programming with Freddy and Scarlet having their drinks

Twenty minutes later

Jason completed his programming and was happy that it was done, he picks up his laptop and told his friends

Jason: "I got it done"

Freddy: "Great, shall we get moving?"

Jason: "Sure, let me shut off my laptop"

Jason shuts off the laptop and the three of them head out to the Wilderwolves so they may put the chip in

Day 2

The three teens were in the bedroom doing their things. Jason was checking through the audio files into hoping of getting any conversation from the Wilderwolves, unfortunately he finds nothing. He then tells Freddy and Scarlet

Jason: "I have got nothing"

Jason deleted the files and packed up his laptop. Freddy came up with an idea that seemed risky but however it could work out well if Jason did it the way he wanted him to do, so he said

Freddy: "Hey Jason"

Jason: "Yes Freddy?"

Scarlet looks at Freddy and Jason

Freddy: "You know what I have been thinking?"

Jason: "I'm listening"

Freddy: "I was thinking, what if I can organise for you talk to my father?"

Jason: "Your father?, We still haven't any audio of the wolves talking yet but yeah, what were you thinking?"

Freddy: "If we can somehow explain to my dad that you have been helping us by trying to gather information about the Wilder wolves. I can call my Dad on the phone and you can talk with him, maybe you two can make a deal together, negotiate with him how you can be on his side"

Jason: "Sounds alright, I was thinking about telling you to mention me to your dad, but I agree to me also talking to him. I was however thinking that my idea would be visiting his house and that way we could all we talk face to face, but I think its best doing what ever suits your dad, so let's call him"

Freddy: "Good point. I've call him now"

Jason: "Sure thing"

Freddy grabs his green covered phone and then started calling his father as Scarlet asked Freddy

Scarlet said concerned: "Freddy are you sure this is a good idea?"

Freddy: "It might be not a smart idea, but at least we will have someone who can help"

Scarlet said seriously: "And?, your also with me too remember, you gotta get in trouble!"

Freddy: "I know, I can tell my father that your not that person"

Freddy then heard his voice.

Flasheart: "Hello Freddy"

Freddy stopped and answered

Freddy: "Hey Dad how you been?"

Flasheart: "I been good son and yourself?"

Freddy: "I been doing good too Dad, hey I need to talk you about something important"

Flasheart: "Yeah son what is it?"

Freddy: "I have a friend who has has introduced me to someone who knows about us, and I mean he knows everything about us and he wants to help us"

Flasheart said curiously: "Freddy?, is this person a Hunter?"

Freddy: "No he isn't"

Flasheart seriously: "Freddy whoever that person is, he cannot be trusted…"

Freddy: "Dad, he wants to talk to you, this way he can explain everything to you, from the beginning so you can fully understand whats happening, please Dad will you listen to Him?"

Flasheart: "Ok, tell me more"

Freddy: "Great, his name is Jason, he has been watching us for sometime, actually since I was young. So when Jason came to this town, and met with one of my friends. So my friend told me that Jason wanted to meet, so we did. And Jason wanted to get in touch with you, as he really want to help us put an end to the Wilderwolves"

Flasheart sighs after hearing this and he responded

Flasheart: "Is Jason with you?"

Freddy: "Yes"

Flasheart: "Put him on the phone "

Freddy: "Yes dad, he really would appreciate the time to chat with you"

Freddy gives Jason his phone, Jason takes the phone and put it to his ear

Flasheart: "Is this Jason?"

Jason: "Yes"

Flasheart started: "So you know our pack, you have been looking for me, and you want to put an end to the Wilderwolves?"

Jason: "Thats right, I have been wanting to speak to you because I wanted to help"

Flasheart: "I thank you for the offer, but we haven't got that much problems with them. I also want to kindly ask: How have you been able to watch us, and what do you think you know about?"

Jason: "Unfortunately I cannot answer the first question. However I will answer the second question"

Flasheart: "So when do I get to know?"

Jason: "When we get to know other and gain trust, and when the time is right, I will"

Flasheart: "So. What do you know about us?"

Jason: "You used to be a leader for your pack. You fallen off a cliff that caused people to believed for years you were dead, in which your brother then became the leader. Hotspur teams up teams up with the owner of the pound, who goes by the name of "The Commander" if I remember her name right. Then you guys are of course the night patrol, seeking for people and animals you will save and protect, from any sort of danger"

Flasheart had a thought, before suggesting : "Hm. How about I make a deal. If you want to be accepted by the pack, and further speak with. You need to show me your loyalty and the tasks completeed. If these tasks are done. You will be in the pack and we can talk further on. So do have you a deal?"

Jason replied: "We do. I've also been recording the Wilderwolf with my microchip, so If I get anything, I will pass them to you"

Flasheart: "And how will you do that?"

Jason: "The microchip will be hiding in their cave, I know where they are"

Flasheart: "Hmm If you going to be that, wolves do have better eyesight and they can see in the dark. And also they could also be hiding in a another spot too. So Jason if your going to be doing that, make sure you know what your doing"

Jason: "I'm aware of them. I make sure that my chip is well hidden before its left to record. And plus while I do believe they might have a second cave, as to yet again I don't know where"

Flasheart: "Fair enough, can you take care of yourself against a wolf?"

Jason thought about this for a few seconds, remembeing that Scarlet had the specific tools that could take out a wolf, he could probably borrow them from Scarlet.

Jason: "Yeah, sort of"

Flasheart: "Ok. So there are two things I want you to do, find a Wilderwolf that needs be to capture within the forest, make sure it doesn't escape, then I want you to send me of the location. And I want you to keep recording on the Wilderwolves until you find something useful, then sent it to me. After those tasks are completed we will then plan to talk in person"

Jason: "Sure. You also describing the red eyed glowing wolves, can I just ask. Why can't you guys just take them down and remove their forms?"

Flasheart: "We were going to by heading to their cave to have them captured, but because it's still in plan I gotta get canceling it and give you the opportunity to do the task"

Jason said bothered: "Ok?, but why can't you just them down when I'm trying to do the same thing"

Flasheart: "Well we could, but you still want to see the pack. So make it your chance to do so by completing those tasks"

Jason: "Well I better get started then"

Flasheart: "And Jason"

Jason: "Yes"

Flasheart: "If you do anything behind my back or to my pack. You will face consequences, understand?"

Jason: "Yes I do, and I rather not join the bastards that are in your way"

Flasheart: "Ok, you will have two nights to complete those tasks, be sure you use them wisely and get your tasks done. I will See you later Jason"

Jason looks at Freddy and Scarlet and then he said

Jason: "Did you both hear what was being said in that call"

Scarlet: "Yes we did, and we have to go hunting"

Jason: "Yes we do, but now this time its the bad guys."

As Jason walked to the table he opens his laptop, with Scarlet asking

Scarlet: "And Jason"

Jason: "Yeah?"

Scarlet: "What did they did say about catching the Wilderwovles? and why can't you just let them do it?"

Jason: "Because if I don't i will lose my chance to meet the pack and unable to share and do things with them. Flasheart said that he going to send his members to take down the Wilders but will hold it, so he can let me do the tasks. I must complete A and B within two nights. And if I don't Flasheart will sent his members to take the Wilders. I would rather let the night patrol put an end to the Wilderwolves, but I came here for a reason not just to waste my time or their's"

Scarlet listened to this and then she said

Scarlet: "Ok, but we going to need blowguns if the three of us are going to be doing this"

Scarlet then looks at Freddy: "Freddy you will also be taking one too, Right?"

Freddy: "Yeah?"

Jason: "Or Freddy can just transform and he track down for any Wilderwolves"

Scarlet looks back at Jason: "Good idea, once you are done with your programming we will take our stuff and head out"

Jason: "hell yeah"

And with that Jason got to work while Freddy and Scarlet both went downstairs to the living room which had a painting, a book shelf, wooden table and a reading chair with someone was sitting on it, reading the news paper, it was Red Jagger, Scarlet's father.

Scarlet: "Hey dad?"

Red: "Yes Scarlet"

Scarlet: "I wanted to show Freddy and Jason our hunting gear, would that be ok with you?"

Red: "I don't see why not, however don't take anything without me knowing ok?"

Scarlet: "Ok dad"

Red: "Thats my girl. Go bring friends downstairs and I will show you"

Scarlet make eye contact to Freddy telling him to follow her father down the basement while she leaves and goes up stairs to ask Jason to join them to see her dad's hunting gear.

Scarlet: "Jason, me and Freddy are gotta be looking at my parents hunting gear, care to join with us?"

Jason: "Sure"

So with that Jason leaves his laptop open and follows Scarlet to the basement. With the two downstairs, Jason had recognised the gear that the family used for their hunting.

Jason: "Alright what's on the menu?"

The three of them were looking around until Red showed Jason the different types of equipment, Red then said

Red: "This ball holds a mixture of silver isotopes and wolf bane, it's harmless to humans but not so to the were wolves, its a grande"

Red gives the silver ball to Jason with him then feeling shocked at the weight of the ball

Jason: "Good, thats the firepower I'm looking for, what else do you have?"

Red: "Well we have this (showing Jason the blowgun which has the model of the wolf howling on the barrel) which comes with a blowgun and a flashlight too"

Jason puts the ball on the table and takes the blow gun from Red, looking at it

Jason: "I gotta say I like the model of the wolf"

Red: "it does look beautiful"

Jason: "Indeed"

Freddy then walked up to the two as he looked at the equipment that Red was showing

Freddy: "So is this the silver ball that harms the wolves Jason?"

Jason: "Yeah"

Freddy: "Mr Jagger?"

Red: "Yes Freddy?"

Freddy: "Can you tell me of how that silver ball works?"

Red: "It would be my pleasure, The way it work is that when the ball hits onto the ground it triggers a smoke like explode carrying the mixtures of silver isotopes and wolf bane, that causes harm to a werewolf, which does highly effects on them but not on us"

Freddy felt shivers from listening what the ball does, he calmed himself and got back to learning about the equipment.

Freddy: "Wow"

Jason: "Hey Freddy, have a look at this"

Jason offered him a blowgun with Freddy accepting the request and takes a closer look

Freddy asks Red: "Is this what you use in your hunting?"

Red looks at the blowgun then responds

Red: "Yes"

Red then walks back towards the stairs saying

Red: "And Kids, Don't touch anything, let me know when you are finished"

Freddy and Scarlet: "Ok"

Jason: "Alright"

With Red out of sight, Scarlet then said

Scarlet: "Hey guys"

Both Freddy and Jason looked over at Scarlet who was standing next to the map of Milford.

Scarlet: "You should take a look at this map, you can learn about of where the Wilderwolves have been"

So with that the two walked up to the map and they looked closer, its her parent's map.

So Jason said: "So where do you want to start?"

Scarlet points at the right side of the map, which she was pinning at right side of the forest "We will check there and find a Wilderwolf (She then points to the middle of the forest) or we can try this location and see if it's wondering in there, or other wise it could be anywhere"

Jason: "Ok, how about instead of two we make that three (points at the top left) here"

Scarlet: "Third point it is then"

Jason: "Lets just say if he or she is around at any of these points, lets hope we can catch it and give it to Flasheart"

Freddy: "And also the microchip too?"

Jason: "And the god damn microchip"

Scarlet: "So we settle?"

Jason looks at the two before before saying: "Settled, blowguns is what we need for this hunt, nothing else"

Scarlet: "Alright, Jason do your thing and Freddy you come with me outside"

And with that the trio left the basement with Jason going back to his laptop while Freddy and Scarlet told Red of what they're were going to be doing

Few hours later

Jason, Freddy and Scarlet were wondering around in the night forest with their flashlights, looking for a Wilderwolf to hunt for and capture, they were looking as hard as they could to get for any sign indicating the presences of a Wilderwolf, but without any luck none was found

Scarlet: "I got nothing"

Jason: "yeah me either"

While still searching for a Wilderwolf, Jason was having memories in his thoughts of how he did something that seem Impossible, but mange to do so.

The memories were showing of Jason making eye contact at the poodle Freddy and the two were communicating

Jason: "alright, when you say something, I will respond back to what you have said ok?"

Freddy nods his head and with that been said, he barks with Jason saying

Jason: "Pack"

And with that both Freddy and Scarlet showed their shocked expressions in disbelieve of how he could possibly understand of what he just said, so he barked again with Jason saying

Jason: "Howling"

And done it again for the tried time now finally saying the last words

Jason: "Wolves that will protect howling"

Jason could understand dogs and wolves, Freddy ask him a question of how he could understand him

Freddy: "How did you understand me?"

Jason: "Its an a ability I have. Whenever I travel to different type of worlds they have their own rules, so you can say that your dimension allows me to understand dogs and wolves like you"

Freddy: "Wow"

Jason: "So it depends on which one I go to"

Scarlet was watching Jason and Freddy were talking to each other while all she heard from Freddy was just barking, so with her still in shock she tried questioning herself

Scarlet thoughts: "This guy doesn't mess around, he can understand animals, he came from a another world and also human too.

How is this real?"

Freddy was transforming back to his human as he looked with entertained

Freddy: "Whoa"

The two looked at Scarlet appeared dump founded from witnessing the moment

Scarlet: "Yeah lets get moving"

And with that they continued their search.

Jason was back to reality when Scarlet was saying that they should head back to her place and call it for a night. When suddenly the trio then heard something cracked, causing their attention to focus at the area of where they heard sound, wounding what it was

Scarlet shocked: "Did you hear that"

Jason: "yeah I did, lets go check into it"

Scarlet: "Alright"

The three went to check the location of where they heard the sound from, and noticed the broken stick and paw prints next to it

Jason: "We could be close, if we follow the paw prints we can catch up to this wolf"

Scarlet: "Lets follow it then"

So they followed the tracks towards where the wolf was heading trying to catch it, so Jason could complete his task for Flasheart and then go back to Scarlet's place.

They were walking for a few minutes when finally they could see the wolf up ahead of them, at this time Jason changed his flashlight into a blowgun as did Scarlet, Freddy also changed from his poodle form into human and did the same.

Jason: "Alright are we ready?"

Scarlet and Freddy: "Yes"

Jason: "When I fire the first dart, you guys both shoot as well, ok?"

They both nodded their heads, Jason led the trio slowly creeping closer to the wolf without being heard, the trio then got down on their knees and took aim at the wolf, then each shot their dart's, each of them successfully marking the back of the wolf, the wolf then realised he had been shoot and then immediately passed out, causing the wolf to transform back to it's human form. The trio then returned their blowguns back into flashlights and walked up to the now sleeping person.

Jason: "We have the target"

Jason then checked the werewolf and confirmed it was male, he then went to check his eyes seeing they were red, confirming he was a Wilderwolf.

Jason the got the ropes from Scarlet and started tiring the males legs and arms securing him. Jason then took photos and sent them and the location of the Wilderwolf member to Flasheart. A successful job now done they all started heading back to Scarlets.

Jason: "My regards for Flasheart. Job well done"

Day 3

Inside the home of Flasheart's, he was in his bedroom wearing only long pants relaxing on the bed, he was dialing Jason on his phone so he could tell him that the task has been completed.

Once he dialed Jason number he then waited for Jason to pick up, and in a few seconds he did

Jason: "Hello?"

Flasheart: "Hello Jason, I have seen the images you sent and the location of the Wilderwolf, I'm impressed."

Jason: "Did you get the wolf like you needed?"

Flasheart: "Yes, we took him in and done some questioning, and with that we have some news"

Jason: "What is that?"

Flasheart: "He said there is going to be a meeting tonight so you can place your device into their cave and record there conversation, once you have the recording I need you to sent it to me"

Jason: "Sure. By the way I also forgot to tell you that before we even met, I have been recording the Wilders for the last three nights and still haven't got anything from them"

Flasheart: "So you been trying to record them before we meet?..."

Jason cuts him: "And hoping to get something before we met"

Flasheart: "Right"

Jason: "So, when I do get something from the meeting, I will send you a audio file that will be shorten so this way you don't have to listen for something six or twelve hours of the briefing"

Flasheart: "Alright"

Jason: "Simple, well I have a score that needs to be settled, I hope you will be in touch Flasheart"

Flasheart: "We will speak again"

Flasheart got up from his bed and started dialing a another number on his phone, he had to talk to someone to organise a meeting, for everyone needs to hear about this from him, the phone started ring then picked up "Hello Flasheart"

Flasheart: "Good morning Hotspur, how you been?"

Hotspur: "Been doing good, the same old me working as a mayor, how about you?"

Flasheart: "I just woken up, Hotspur I need you to organise a meeting tonight for pack, its important I have something that needs to be discussed"

Hotspur: "What would that be?"

Flasheart: "I have found out that we have someone in town that knows everything about us, and with that this person has been hanging out with my son and wants to help us"

Hotspur was shocked in anger: "What?!"

The meeting was on and everyone was there, such as Flasheart, Hotspur, Ric, Cherry, Lord hightail and Lady hightail, they were in the small library sitting on chairs while Flasheart and the hightail were standing

Flasheart: "I want to thank you all for coming to this meeting, now you all know that we had planned to capture the Wilderwolves last night, and I stop it for a reason, and that reason is why I invited all of you here"

Lord hightailed asked: "And what would that be Flasheart?"

Flasheart: "We have someone outsider that has come to town and this outsider knows all about us, from night patrol, to who we are, the Wolf Hunters and the Wilderwolves. Before you make a comment the reason for this meeting is because this outsider wanted to join the pack and help us put an end to the Wilders. I have meet with him and trust he is sincere, I have made a deal with him. I have given him two tasks that he needs to be complete within two days, to prove himself. He has already completed one, and now he is working on the other tonight. Once he completes both tasks, we as a pack must deicide if we should let him in the pack or not"

Everyone looked at Flasheart with shocked about the news, Flasheart a seat with Lord hightail started saying

Lord hightail: "This is big Mr Lupin, whats the name of this outsider?"

Flasheart: "He goes by Jason"

Lord hightail: "Jason. Flasheart from what I am hearing this is something Serious I never came across before, and from a outsider who has this much information what do you know about Jason?…"

Hotspur cuts in Lord hightail: "Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah, I still find it hard to believe that Jason knows everything about us, did he learn even it from Freddy?"

Flasheart: "No he hasn't, he already knew before meeting my son or anyone"

Hotspur shocked: "WHAT, How then?"

Flasheart: "My son said that has been watching us somehow, for sometime. I don't exactly know how he did it but that's what Freddy has said. Jason was friends with another friend of Freddy's and that how they were introduced."

Ric: "And would this be from Scarlet?"

Flasheart: "I don't know, he hasn't told me yet"

Lady hightail: "We have a rule in our pack that no person outside of our family or pack should know about our pack, but this Jason we don't know if he can be trusted, he could use this information and put us at risk about us. I am also worried that if we meet him he will know where we are and this puts us at risk too"

Hotspur: "And Freddy is not allowed to be around Scarlet because she is a Hunter, I hope you understand brother because you weren't in our last meeting I suppose that also explains as to why he was kicked out of the academy too. Oh Freddy has also been seen out around the school grounds a lot too"

Flasheart: "Yes I understand, I would never let anyone come any closer to our pack, but with Freddy this is big. I will have a chat with my son about Scarlet."

Hotspur: Thank you and also (teasing) and what do you find so special about the person Jason hmm?, why is it we need him in our pack?"

Flasheart: Because he maybe able to do something that we can not do"

Lady hightail: "What would that be?"

Flasheart: "He is able to spy on the Wilderwolves and could give us useful information about next their next move"

Lady hightail: Interesting, that could be someone worthwhile to the pack"

Lord hightail: "What if the pack accepts Jason as a spy to gather information on the Wilders without having the need to know about us or to know where we are, or to join the pack"

Ric: "Lord hightail, I believe we can still have him join our pack, it shouldn't hurt to try something new?"

Lord hightail: "Ric we do not know which way to go, however I was thinking about suggesting a test for Jason"

Flasheart: "So another one?"

Lord hightail: "In the right mindset Mr lupin, a final test shouldn't be problem to put our minds at ease, and to see if this outsider is a threat to us or not. With this final test we need to discover who he really is but ensure nobody lives are at risk"

Lady hightail: "Or we can just watch him"

Lord hightail: "We could do that too"

Cherry stands up from her chair and asked Lord hightail: "So what do you suggest?"

Lord hightail: "We will have Freddy to meet with Jason, sent one of our pack members to watch this meeting and follow him after"

Cherry: "What do we do if they cannot get into an area that Jason can get into, like a house or building?"

Lord hightail: "They will have to wait until he comes out, or they will have to report in where Jason is located"

Cherry: "Right"

Ric: "I understand your idea is about being safe but we could also consider another plan being that member of the pack gets caputured and Jason has to help this member escape?

Lord hightail took in his idea and replied: "That idea would pose a risk to our pack member and I am not willing to have that happen"

Flasheart thinks about Ric's idea and then says: "While this idea seems interesting, sure but you need to have someone who can watch over and be on guard"

Lord hightail: "Even with all that its still a risk"

Lady hightail: "May I point out its a good idea but are you sure this is smart Ric?"

Ric: "For sure my Lady"

Lord hightail: "Is there any other suggestions before accepting this plan"

Ric: "Nothing else, this idea would surely work out well as butter"

Lord hightail: "So be it, moving on. Anyone else?"

And with no response, Lord hightail continued on: "Alright then. Do I have any votes for spying on Jason?"

Cherry and Hotspur raised their hands

Lord hightail moved on: "Do I have votes for the trap?"

Both Ric and Flasheart raised their hands.

Lord hightail: "Looks like we have a tie on both plans, which plan do you vote for Lady?"

Lady hightail thought deeply of both plans, she then replied: "I would say if our member are willing to take a risk, I will say the trap plan has my vote"

Lord hightail then a gavel strike like sound with his walking stick, with him now saying: "Then it is settled, if our members are willing to take the risk to do the final test then that is what we shall do. I now give you permission to pick someone who will act as the bait, case closed"

Flasheart: "Lord hightail. I Also forgot to point out that Jason has skills like no outsider has"

Lord hightail: "Go on"

Flasheart: "He can understand communication in both dogs and wolves"

Lord hightail was shocked by this a little and replied: "He can?. How?"

Flasheart: "He has like an ability, while he was doing the test with my son who was in his form Jason understood every word he said"

Lady hightail: "Thats impossible, how can someone outside of our pack understand?"

Flasheart: "I don't know, my best bet is he might be a werewolf or he could be special"

Lord hightail: "We might never know Mr Lupin, we have to wait until the time comes"

Jason, Freddy and Scarlet were inside the ice cream store eating their favourite ice creams, Freddy was having chocolate, Scarlet rainbow and Jason vanilla. Jason had changed clothes and was now wearing skinny Jeans, a red Hawaiian sunset palm tree shirt and Rectangle sunglasses which were on top of his head

They were talking as well as laughing about some topic, while Jason just laughed a little bit

Freddy chewed on the ice cream while he tried to hold his laugher back after swallowing he then said: "I was like peeing on her until I was grabbed by her dog and I was peeing all over the place while he was swinging me about"

Scarlet was laughing hard but Jason had heard this before and didn't find it that funny, he found it silly

Scarlet said: "Gross"

Scarlet then took a bite on her dessert

Jason asked Freddy: "Hey Freddy thats when you met your father right?"

Freddy: "yes it is, after this happened I was then taken to the pet pound and then left in the dungeon which is where they keep "the beast" and when I was their I thought I was gonna die, so I told "the beast" to make it quick , but he doesn't eat dogs, so we talked for a little bit until I recognised it was my father"

Scarlet: "Woah, and what about your other dog friends, how did you get to see them?"

Freddy: "Well they snuck inside through the air vent and they heard me talking to my father, and followed by voice, when the found me they saw my father and that he was in his werewolf form so they started to attack my father, so I stopped them"

Scarlet: "And did they get along with your father"

Freddy: "Yes they did, and with that we all escaped"

Scarlet: "Nice"

Jason: "hey hey hey thats when your housekeeping lady went to the Pet Pound and kicked the commander ass"

Scarlet: "You have a housekeeper?"

Freddy: "Yes we do, and yes she basically helped us escape by fighting the commander and also the catchers too"

Jason: "Without her you were all screwed"

Freddy: "Yep"

Jason: "Yea, maybe someday you guys should learn how to fight, even you Scarlet"

Scarlet: "I wouldn't mind giving it a try"

Jason: "You will need it Scarlet, you can kick some real ass when you have the right skills"

Jason takes a bite from his ice cream with Freddy saying

Freddy: "I will think about it, its just something that I might not able to do"

Jason answered with a "hm" sound while still chewing

Scarlet: "So are we going to be placing the microchip tonight Jason?"

Jason nods his head and swallows, he then replies: "Yes, its planned for the tonight and I will pick it up tomorrow, if the chips records anything from their den, I will pass it to Flasheart and see if I can gain the trust of the pack. Also I forgot to point something out about Freddy"

Jason looks at Freddy with a cheeky smile: "Freddy devi amare questo, when Freddy escaped from pet pound with his father and his friends, the group were standing on top of the train carriage and when it emerged from the tunnels the sunlight was shining all around causing Freddy to transform back into his human form totally uncovered in the public view"

Scarlet listened and tries to hold her laughter, but unfortunately loses it by bursting out giggling, Freddy was blushing hard as his terrible experience was shared, and so he punched Jason's shoulder

Freddy said while still blushing: "JASON!"

Jason started laughing too seeing his friends reaction to Scarlet being told of his experience. After sometime the three stopped their laughter and got back to talking.

Jason: "So yes everyone was minding their own business while Freddy was exposed, until they go off the train and Freddy took clothes from someones clothes line"

Scarlet: "That is wild"

Freddy: "My father still had my collar which is why I transformed, and why Jason would you be bringing this up to my friend Scarlet?"

Jason: "Because you didn't bring it up, I was being smart and had to tell Scarlet about it"

Freddy blushing: "I don't want any of my friends to know about it, thank you"

Jason teasing: "Of course you wouldn't bring it up, its embarrassing"

Freddy: "Yes!"

Scarlet: "So Jason, anything else, do you know any more of Freddy's embarrassing moments…?"

Just before Jason was to about to comment, Freddy cuts him off from doing so and tells him in a shy manner: "No thank you how about we talk about something else please?"

Jason went silent and thought about it for a few seconds, until he replied back to Freddy: "Alright"

And with that Jason takes a bite from his ice cream and so did the other two, the trio then swallowed their ice creams

Jason teasingly said: "Freddy"

Jason gives soft punches to his shoulder, Freddy laughs softy with Scarlet also giggling from watching the two of them.

The trio left the store and headed back to Scarlet's place, during their walk they continued talking

Scarlet: "So Ive been thinking that we should catch up day with your friends and do something together"

Freddy: "That sounds like a good idea, hey that also means we can introduce Jason to the others. What do you think?"

Jason: "I would be up for meeting new people"

Freddy: "brilliant, when I get back I will speak to my friends from the academy and see if they for meet up, and then plan the day"

Jason smirks and says with humour: "And then we party"

Freddy laughs a little from his joke and then said: "Maybe not Jason"

Jason just smirks from his wild idea that he suggested to Freddy, so with that Jason made eye contact to Scarlet and asked

Jason: "So If we going to meet up, where do you suggest we should meet?"

Scarlet thinks about it and responded with: "How about a park?"

Jason: "I say we can meet up one of them, but what are we going to be doing together and which park are we going to be meeting at?"

Scarlet: "Just the one in the middle of the town, the stuff we can do…"

Freddy: "I will get that settled"

Few minutes later

Jason, Freddy and Scarlet were walking in the forest towards the cave to once again place the chip in, when the trio arrived Jason walked inside to hide the chip in its hiding spot and switching it on, with the chip on the trio have then left the area with Jason saying

Jason: "If I get nothing, I got plan B"

Day 4

Dawn rose slowly in with the night sky still around, Jason walked through the forest to retrieve his microchip.

Once he collected the chip, he made his way back to Scarlet's place.

Jason thought: "I have to meet the pack in person or it's plan B, the bastards that are still messing with the pack and the town will need to be put down. I can't wait to meet Freddy's classmates from the academy and have them get to know me. The job just got entertaining"

On his return from the cave, Jason came across something that peeked his attention. He recoiled in shock. Lying unconscious with both legs tied with ropes was a grey werewolf. Jason approached and saw that the wolf was a female, so he tried to wake her up.

Jason said quietly: "Hey, Hey wake up"

The wolf awoke and saw Jason

Jason: "You look like you got tied up, let me help you out. I bet those Hunters caught you good"

The wolf looked at him and started whimpering, afraid he was going to harm her, not knowing that Jason was trying help her escape. Jason went to through his black bomber jacket. He had two long pockets inside, he checked the left pocket to find that it was a Glock 17, so he checked the other side to grab his Tanto. Jason withdrew the Tanto from its sheath.

Jason: "I need you to spread your legs further apart so I can cut through the rope, can you do that?"

The wolf just stared at him as if she didn't understand so Jason held her back leg, put the blade between the ropes and started cutting. Hoping to get this done as soon as possible without getting caught.

Jason: "If only I had brought a smaller knife, shit!"

He cut her back legs free and then released her front legs. She got up, smiled at Jason and ran away.

Jason thoughts: "Well I'm glad I could free someone"

Jason put the blade back in its sheath, returned it to his pocket and started moving on, feeling good about himself.

Jason checked his phone and saw a text from Scarlet

"You picked up the chip?"

Jason replied

"I got the chip and I came across a wolf that was tied up. I help her out, poor girl"

Jason sent the text and put his phone away in his pants pocket as he carried on
