Chapter 16.
A month went by and business at The Crow couldn't be better. It turned out to be exactly what the old ladies wanted. There were only a couple of times SAMCRO security had to intervene and throw a guy out for not understanding the word no. The old ladies took turns working throughout the week and weekends managing the bar. They also relied on Steph of course to run things if they wernt around. She was liking working at The Crow better than the club.
"Its not like working at the club is horrible" Steph explained to Venus. "Jax runs the place good, he makes sure we are all respected and we can say no at anytime no questions asked but ultimately, us croweaters are there to work or please the brothers. Its nice to be in a place where I feel like I matter you know?"
"Oh hunny I get it, and you know what? You are a bad ass bitch girl!" Venus said snapping her fingers.
They laughed.
Tara, Lyla, and Lexi were having Steph and Venus run the bar Friday and Saturday so they could take a small family vacation together.
As they were getting ready to open before the Friday night rush Tigg walked in. Venus was taking inventory of the liquor behind the bar when Steph tapped her shoulder getting her attention. Venus looked at her and she pointed to his direction.
Venus saw him walking to the bar and looked down and smiled.
"Im going to go to the kitchen and makes she we are stocked for the night...have fun" Steph teased
Tigg sat down at the bar.
"Hey darlin, can I get you a drink?" Venus asked
"Ill take a beer beautiful" he said winking at her.
Venus grabbed and opened his beer and set it in front of him.
"Dont you have your own bar you can drink at?" Venus asked
"Yes, but its missing somthing." He said
"Oh ya? Whats that?" She asked
"You" he answered making her blush.
"Ok Tiger, I have to get back to work." She said
"Well, im sticking around. Working security tonight with Chibs. After the night is over maybe we go back to your place?" He asked
"Hmm maybe." She said smiling turning back around to continue her inventory.
Tig chuckled and walked back outside to check the cameras.
Tara was packing the kids suit cases when Jax came up from behind and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Mmm you look good enough to eat, and I am starving!" He said turning her around to kiss her making her laugh.
"Jax! The kids could run in at any second and we are leaving in less than an hour." She said between giggles.
"Fine, who's idea was it to go to disney world?" He asked
"It was Lexi and Happy's surprisingly." She answered.
"Man, Happy turned into a different person when he met Lexi. For the better. Never saw that comin" he said
"Well, thats what happens when a man gets a strong, smart, beautiful women in their lives to keep them in line" she said
"Keep'em in line huh? Is that what this is? You keepin me in line?" Jax asked
"All I know is if you didnt have me..." She started to say before he grabbed her again
"...id be nothing. Id be in jail or dead. I owe you everything." He said
Tara smiled and kissed him. "I love you"
"I love you. Now lets get that ass moving!" He said smacking it playfully.
Once Tara was done packing, everyone showed up ready to go.
Pulling out everyone decided to follow behind Jax and Tara.
Lexi was so excited since this was their first family vacation.
"Im so happy we are finally doing this" Lexi told Happy smiling.
Happy grabbed her hand and smiled.
"Im glad. Are you kids excited?!" He yelled back to the kids
"DISNEY WORLD!" the kids yelled.
"Daddy, I see Minnie mouse?" Deedee asked
"No, I want to see Pluto!" Demetri said angrily at his sister
"No! We see Minnie!" She said back him
"Hey, hey. No fighting you two. We will see them both" Lexi told them. Just then Lexi felt her stomach turn.
"Oh shit!" She said.
"Mommy said bad word" Deedee said
"Sorry baby" Lexi said.
"What? You ok?" Happy asked concerned.
"Yes, im ok just got nauseous. Been like that since yesturday. Its ok must just be nerves." She said with a smile.
They got to the hotel pretty late. They decided to go friday night so they could wake up and get an early start.
They all got their own suites right next to each other. Once they got the kids settled Lexi texted Lyla and Tara and asked that they came out into the hall.
Tara got up quietly making sure not wake Jax and Grace. Grace decided she wanted to sleep with them in their bed.
They met in the hall and Lexi was biting her nails.
"Lex? Whats going on? Lyla asked
"Ok, sorry you guys its just yesterday and today Iv been getting randomly nauseous. I figured it was just the excitement for the trip but then I just looked at the calender in my phone and Im late" she said
Tara and Lyla looked at her wide eyed.
"Oh shit. Ok. Lets go get a test" Lyla suggested.
"Now?" Lexi asked
"Why not? Your not going to be able to relax until you know. Lets go, ill drive." Lyla said
They went to the closets store and when Lexi went to grab a test. Tara stopped her.
"Get a 2 pack" she said
Lexi and Lyla looked at her.
"I wasnt going to say anything but Im late too. I have also felt nauseous. I was going to wait till Monday but might as well"
"Oh fuck. You guys just keep that baby juju to yourselves" Lyla said
Lexi and Tara chuckled.
"Baby juju?" Lexi asked laughing
They bought the test and decided not to wait to go to the hotel. They went into the stores bathroom and took the tests.
Lyla set a timer on her phone when they both walked out of their stall.
They paced until the timer went off. Lexi and Tara held hands closed their eyes and looked at the test.
They looked at each other and smiled and they both said. "Positive"
All 3 of them hugged.
"Oh my god. We are pregnant together.!" Lexi said to Tara.
"You sure you dont want to take one?" Tara asked Lyla.
"Oh Im good. No baby in here. But i am so happy for you guys." Lyla said.
The ladies were smiling the whole way back. They both decided not to wait to tell their husbands.
Tara got back into their room and Jax was awake.
"What the hell?" He said low not to wake the kids.
"Oh Im sorry baby, i should have let you know I was leaving but I didnt want to wake you up" she said
"Where did you go?" Jax asked
"Well, we decided to go to the store" she explained
"What? Why?" He asked
Tara pulled the test out of her pocket and gave it to Jax.
He grabbed the stick and smiled.
"No way!" He said smiling. He rushed and picked her up and hugged her tight.
"Its safe to say your happy?" She asked
"Babe, this is great. We already got 3. What's 1 more." He said
"Want to hear something else?" She asked. "Lex is pregnant too"
"Oh shit. You guys really have to do everything together huh?" He said
"It wasnt planned but shit happends" Tara said as she yawned.
"Come on babe, lets get to bed. I love you so much." He said grabbing her hand.
Back in Happy and Lexi's room. Lexi slipped into the room quietly. Happy was still asleep in the bed. He never even knew she left. It was probably for the best considering how protective he could be. Lexi decided to tell him first thing in the morning instead of waking him up.
The kids had fallen asleep in their bed. Lexi slipped in slowly without waking them up. She fell asleep with a smile on her face.
It just seemed like she closed her eyes when she was awaken by a whisper.
"Mommy, mommy wake up"
Lexi opened her eyes and Demetri and Deedee were sitting up staring at her.
Happy smiled with his eyes closed pretending to still be asleep.
"Good morning my angels. I think you should tickle daddy and wake him up." She said.
Both the kids smiled wide and went to tickle their dad when Happy sprang up and growled like a monster grabbing them both and tickling them instead.
Both the kids squealed with laughter.
After a few minutes the kids jumped out of bed ready to start their day.
"What time is it?" Lexi asked
"7, good morning beautiful." Happy said leaning over to kiss her.
"Eeewww" the kids said
Happy and Lexi chuckled.
They got up and got the kids a cup of milk and and sat them down to watch morning cartoons so they could be occupied while Lexi and Happy got ready.
Lexi figured now was as good a time as any.
"Um, Hap I need to tell you somthing" she started
"Ya? Thats never a good way to start a conversation" he said sitting on the bed in front of her.
She was standing there in her jeans and just a bra.
"But as long as I have this view. You can tell me anything" he said winking at her.
She rolled her eyes but chuckled. "Ok. You know how I have been getting nauseous?" She asked.
"Yes" he said intrigued now.
She turned and reached into her sweater pocket, pulled out the test and handed it to Happy.
Confused it took the stick and looked at it. It had a bright pink plus sign.
"Is this a pregnancy test? He asked
Lexi nodded.
Happy smiled. "Fuck ya!" He said grabbing her pulling her onto his lap kissed her. Then kissing her stomach
Lexi let out a sigh of reliefe. "Im so glad you are happy."
"Did you think I would be upset?" He asked
"I wasnt sure, especially considering that last time..." She began
"Last time...was different. This time will be different." He told her.
She nodded her head and smiled.
After a little while longer everyone met down in the lobby to get breakfast from the hotel resturant.
As they were sitting around the table the old ladies gave each other a look questioning whether or not they told their significant others.
Tara and Lexi both nodded.
"So Happy and Jax. I guess congratulations are in order" Lyla stated
Opie looked around confused so Lyla filled him in. She waited until morning so everyone could see his reaction.
"We found out last night that both Tara and Lexi are pregnant"
Opies eyes got wide. "Both of you?"
Lex and Tara nodded.
"Holy shit. Congrats guys. Thats awesome." Opie told them
"Thank you Ope." Tara said
"So since Lexi tends to pop out 2 at a time you sure you can handel 4 kids?" Jax asked jokingly.
Tara nudged him and they all laughed.
"Hey, dont jynx me. Im hoping for just one this time around" Lexi said.
"I wouldnt mind 2 more" Happy said smiling
"Easy for you to say Hap, you dont have to be pregnant for 9 months." Tara said
"Ya then give birth" Lyla said backing Lexi and Tara up.
Happy put his hands up in surrender. "Hey, im just saying. I will have as many kids as I can with this women. Having more people on this earth just like her will make this world a better place." He said
Lexi teared up and reached over and kissed him
Lyla and Tara both "aww'ed" at his worlds.
Jax and Opie chucked.
"Nice save" opie joked.
After breakfast they all were ready to head to the park.
They spent the whole day riding rides, and eating junk food. With Tara and Lexi being in their 1st trimester their nausea was intense. Finally the parade ended at 7:00 and it was time to head back to the hotel.
"Oh my god, I had so much fun but I cant wait to get out of here. The smell is just too much." Lexi said.
Tara had her hand on her stomach and nodded.
Lyla shrugged as she took a bite of her churro.
"Thats ruff"
They chuckled.
They entered the lobby and went straight to the elevator. When the doors opened they were shocked to see who was preparing to walk out of them. Especially Jax and Tara.
"Wendy?" Tara said instantly putting her arm around Abels shoulders.
Jax was holding Grace in his arms and was holding Thomas's hand. "What the hell are you doing here?"
Wendy looked like a deer in headlights. "I..uh I.."
"You what? What the hell are you doing here Wendy?" Jax asked her again more stern.
Wendy's eyes went to Abel. Tara pushed Abel behind her and gave her a hard stare.
Happy gave Deedee to Lexi and walked up to take Grace from Jax's arms and grabbed Thomas's hand.
"Common guys. Come with uncle Happy and Aunt Lexi to our room and watch cartoons and play"
Grace smiled. "K bye daddy wuv you" she said going into Happys arms.
"Love you too baby girl." Jax said. "Go with your sister and brother Thomas" he told him
Lyla was sure to grab Abel's hand as they all took the kids to the other elevator and left Jax and Tara to handle Wendy.
Before Abel got on the elevator Wendy rushed forward and tried to shout his name. "ABEL WAIT!!"
Tara lungged forward into the elevator and pushed her against the back wall out of the view of the hotel staff.
"Shut the fuck up" she told her quietly. "Now your going to walk out of this elevator and out of this hotel. We will talk outside."
Tara let go of her and Wendy nodded. They walked outside.
Tara was sure to smile at passing staff who nodded and smiled back.
Jax walked close behind them both.
When they walked out they made sure no-one else was around.
"Wendy you look like shit!" Jax said
Wendy huffed and rolled her eyes "Thanks, good to see you too."
Tara crossed her arms. "Wendy, your clothes are falling off you, their stained obviously dirty and from the look of your rats nest hair you havnt washed it in a week. Now cut the shit, what the fuck are you doing?"
"I wanted to see my son and I cant even get close in Charming so I figured I would catch you by surprise and thought maybe..." she began to say.
"YOUR son? No Wendy, get this through your crazy ass head. I am his mother!" Tara said
"It wont change the fact he came out of my body and he deserves to know the truth" wendy said
"We decide that. His parents!" Jax said. "Not you. A used up junky who almost killed him"
Wendy winced and teared up at his words. "Hes mine!" She said. "I WILL get him back. You cant keep me away forever" she said.
Tara got really close to her. "You listen to me you pathetic bitch. You come near MY son, I'll kill you"
With that Tara turned and walked back inside.
Jax stood there as Wendy shed a few tears.
"Go away Wendy." He said
"Jax please, cant you..." She tried to ask
Jax let out a sarcastic chuckle. "Are you fucking crazy. You have shot up one to many drugs Wendy? Did you not just hear Tara? You will NEVER get close to Abel. He is NOT yours. He was never really yours. You lost that right to ever even think it was in the realm of possible we would ever allow you in his life. Im going to tell you one more time. Go the fuck away. Come Monday I WILL have a restraining order." That was the last thing Jax said before turning around and heading back inside.
Wendy watched him go back in and seen Tara had waited for him. He walked up and hugged her. She also seen him lovingly rub her stomach. Wendy would give anything to be in her shoes. Wrapped in Jax's arms. Being with Abel, having his babies. But he was right. She was a worthless junkie.
She walked down the road around the corner and got into the car waiting for her.
She got in with tears in her eyes.
"Im done Sid. I cant do this anymore" She said
"Did you get the room number at least?" He asked her.
"No" she said.
"Fuck Wendy. You were supposed to go up the elevator come back down and say you forgot your key. What the hell happend?" He asked in frustration.
"We got here too late, they were waiting for the elevator when I came back down." She explained. "Abel has a brother, a sister, and Taras pregant. I dont know if I can take him from them" Wendy said in tears.
"Look don't loose focus. Jax hurt you and ruined your life. You want your son back dont you.?" He asked her.
"Well ya but their right Sid. I am a junkie. Abel deserves..."
"...to be with his mother Wendy" he interrupted her. " Sons need their mothers. Their REAL mothers." He told her.
She stared at Sid as he pulled out of the parking spot. She wasn't sure why he was so insistent that she move forward with this. At first she figured he loved her and wanted her to be happy but the more intense he got she felt there was something else behind this for him.
"Hey Sid, you said you lived in Charming before your parents died and you had to move to Illinois with your aunt and Uncle. How old were you when that happened?" She asked him
"Why?" He asked
"Just wondering" she answered.
"16 almost 17" he said
She nodded. She decided she needed to do a little more digging.
Sid looked over at Wendy and noticed she was deep in thought. He knew he had to stop her from thinking too much if he wanted his plan to work. He reached over and opened the glove box pulling out a small pouch.
"Here babe, I brought the stash. I know your probably ready for a dose.
Wendy closed her eyes. "I dont think I should Sid. If Im going to get Abel back then I need to clean up. Maybe I should go to a rehab" she said.
He scolfed. "Uh Wendy baby, Please know I say this with love. You are and will always be a drug addict. Its who you are. Its really the only thing your good at. Finding a vein. No-one is going to love you and accept you like I do. To everyone else your worthless. But not to me. Im the only one who will ever love you and I love your true self which just happends to be someone who gets high. Now be a good girl and do what your good at ok"
Wendy shed a tear and knew he was right. She was worthless and without Sid she would be alone.
She obeyed and opened the pouch.
Sid watched as she shot up. He smiled. He was keeping her right where he wanted her. Soon he would finallyhave Tara right where he wanted. Broken and weak. She didnt remember him which would make his plan so much easier.
Granted he looked a bit different back in Chicago...
