* Third person's POV*

"You're getting better, Pryde!" Sirius yelled as he deflected a spell.

"Thanks, I've been working my arse off!" She yelled back as she ducked away from an on coming hex.

"On your left!" Remus yelled. "You always forget there is a 'left'!"

"Sorry," Kitty mumbled.

"Moony, is that your best?" James asked with a lopsided grin, sending another hex towards them.

"Just going easy on you," Remus replied sending a jinx that hit James on his legs and knocked him to the ground.

James, Sirius, Remus and Kitty paired up and were duelling in the dark night.

They were all covered in sweat and some had gashes on their hands and legs.

"So, this is how you spend your weekend?" They heard a familiar voice and stopped duelling.

"Ken?" Kitty asked surprised, as he walked over to them, his wand in his hands. "What are you doing here? I thought you were busy at the hospital!"

"Well, good to see you too," he smiled. "Hello James, Sirius, Remus," he nodded at them.

"Jacob," they three nodded back.

"Well, we haven't met for the past three days. So, I thought I could just stop by before I go back to Mungo's," he told Kitty.

"Is Lily back?" James asked him.

"Uh... I don't think she'd be coming home tonight. We've had a little emergency. The aurours brought in some kids."

"Kids?" Sirius asked.

"The aurors raided a den in Dundee," he replied.

"Den? You don't mean Werewolves, do you?" Remus asked nervously.

Jacob sighed.

"Are...are the kids okay?" Kitty asked.

"I'm afraid two of them might be infected."

"Why don't we just go in and have some nice dinner?" James quickly tried to change the topic as he saw Remus getting upset.

"Uh... No...I came unannounced. I was wondering...if I could take her out for dinner," Jacob said.

"Uh.. I..." She glanced around.

"What do you mean unannounced?" James laughed. "You're always welcome. Tinky would've started making dinner. She could make your favourite in minutes."

"Yeah... Let's have dinner here. And you look a bit peaky... you said you have to go back to Mungo's. Have dinner, and take some rest. You clearly need it," Kitty added.

"I'll go let mum know," Sirius said walking away. James and Remus followed him.

"You alright? You really don't look good," Kitty looked at Jacob, concerned.

"You're the one to talk," he laughed. "Why are you always covered in blood?" He waved his wand over a gash on her arm and healing it.

"Ah... Got it while practicing," she grinned. "Come on. Let's go inside. I'll go take a quick shower and come back. I'm all sweaty."

After dinner, Jacob and Kitty spent time in her room. He was so exhausted, he fell asleep the moment he laid on her bed. He had to wake up after 3 hours and get back to Mungo's.

Kitty was clearly avoiding to go out into wizarding public with him because she was worried about his safety.

It was Sirius' birthday and he was throwing a party at his place. It was Saturday and most of their friends at school and ministry, and some of the order members were present.

"There was an attack at Diagon Alley. I don't think the aurors could make it to the party," Emmaline said as she joined them.

"Diagon Alley?" Remus asked.

"Are there any casualties?" Lily asked.

"There is no Dark Mark, which is a relief," she replied.

"We don't have to go, do we?" Sirius whispered.

Emmeline shook her head.

"Where is Kitty?" James asked.

"She said Jacob would pick her up from Hogsmeade," Remus replied, sipping his butterbeer.

A few minutes later, someone banged on the door.

"Who is it?" Sirius asked.

"I'm Jacob Dearborn. I bet 5 galleons that Katherine would win the duel. I lost because it was tie."

"I should've won," Sirius opened the door. "It was luck —"

"Sirius," Jacob panted.

"What the bloody hell happened to you?!!"

Jacob pushed Sirius and walked in. He was covered in soot and there was blood trickling down his face.

"Where is Pryde?"

"She's gone," he panted.

"What do you mean she's gone?" Sirius pulled Jacob by his collar.

At this point the room fell silent and everyone were looking at them.

Sirius' heart was pounding..

Jacob looked horrible. "They took her."

Silence filled the room.

"Everyone, the party is over. Sorry," Remus said aloud.

"Jacob, sit down," Lily told him as she brought a first aid kit. She gave him some water to drink.

In seconds, everyone left except for few order members.

"What happened?" James asked. He was shaking.

"Bellatrix Lestrange," Jacob replied.

They all shared quick glances.

"Bellatrix? What was she doing in Hogsmeade?" Sirius asked.

"It wasn't Hogsmeade. We were at Diagon Alley," Jacob replied.

"So the attack..." Lily trailed off.

"I cannot contact Pryde," Sirius said looking at others.

"What actually happened?" Remus asked.

"Jake!" Kitty waved her hand as she approached him.

Jacob pulled her into a tight hug and kissed her on the forehead.

"Wow...you look hot," she commented. "You don't have this typical 70s hairstyle. Those huge sideburns and moptop hair..."

"You'd prefer me in that look?"

"Eww no... No... No sideburns and moptop. No! This is cool... Hair falling into your eyes...side parted... And you look hot in your healer hairstyle too."

Jacob laughed. "Healer hairstyle?"

"I mean it's usually like messy slick back or quiff whatever ...at your work... And when you're off, you go to this sweet 4/6 parting or curtain parting whatever...I don't know which hairstyle I'm attracted to."

Jacob laughed. "Let's say I'm hot at day and cool at night."

"We could say that," she nodded. "Let's go. We're getting late."

"What do you do at Hogwarts all day? Even on Saturdays?"

"Uh.. I learn magic."

"Magic? What's there to learn at Hogwarts? You might've—"

"Told you I was homeschooled. Plus I went to muggle schooling and university. And haven't practiced much. And here it is war. Plus I need to concentrate on my innnnneerr eeeyyee."

Jacob laughed. "Hold me tight," he said pulling out his wand.

They apparated to Diagon Alley. It was already getting dark. They went to Florean Fortescue's and picked up their cake. They bought smoothies for themselves and were walking down the alley.

"Oh look who we have here!!" a high pitched voice stopped them in their tracks.

They turned to look who it was. A woman in all black robes was standing there. Her face was hidden behind her hood.

"Well, well, well, someone is having a romantic time," the woman cackled.

"Excuse me. Who are you?" Kitty asked confused.

Jacob quickly pulled Kitty behind him. He already has his wand in his hands.

"Oooooohh... someone is protective," the woman cackled again.

"Would you stop that obnoxious cackling of yours and tell me who you are? I really don't have time for this," Kitty scoffed.

"You really don't have time for anything anymore," the woman said taking off her hood and revealing her face.

"Uh... So you're telling me your name or not?" Kitty asked again.

"Bellatrix Lestrange," Jacob murmured.

Bellatrix laughed. "Seems like your boyfriend knows me."

"He's not my boyfriend," Kitty scoffed. "You're misinformed. We're just business.. partners."

Jacob looked clearly shocked at how Kitty lied through her teeth without missing a beat. He looked around. He saw dark figures observing them from a distance. Most of the people have left the place. Some were wondering about what was going on.

"So... Bellatrix Lestrange... Am I supposed to know who you are?" Kitty asked. "Wait... You look familiar... You .. resemble... Healer Tonks."

"Don't you dare talk about that filthy blood traitor!" Bellatrix growled..

"Woah... Don't get testy," Kitty said.

"Uh.. it's a mice meeting you, Mrs. Lestrange. We'd be leaving then," Jacob nodded and pulled Kitty.

"Not so early. You reckon I came here to say hello to you?" Bellatrix cooed.

"No. I reckon you came here for shopping. Because that's what everyone does. Now, if you don't mind we've got some work to do. We'd be leaving. Have a good day," Kitty pulled Jacob's shirt and turned to leave.

"Not so soon!" Bellatrix screamed. She sent a spell that hit the package they were carrying and it blasted off.

"Duuuudeee!!! Are you serious???!!" Kitty yelled. "What the friggin hell is wrong with you?!"

"You dare raise your voice at me, you filthy blood traitor!!" Bellatrix growled and walked towards her.

"One. You ruined our cake. Two. Who are you calling a blood traitor?" Kitty snapped at her.

"Hey, let's not argue. Okay?" Jacob interrupted. "We'll be leaving."

"Mr. Dearborn. I'm sorry this happened. I'll see you tomorrow. Please leave," Kitty turned to Jacob. "Leave. Now," she mouthed.

"Cut the drama," Bellatrix said raising her wand. She sent a quick spell at the pair and the both dodged it.

"Michhin saekki," Kitty growled. (Korean = crazy bitch). "What is wrong with you?"

"You dare hit my father?!" Bellatrix sent another spell and Kitty deflected it.

"Your father who?" Kitty yelled back. "Jake, leave right now. I'm buying you time," she told Jacob who was beside her.

"Shut up. We're leaving together," Jacob replied.

"Mrs. Lestrange, there must be a misunderstanding," Jacob said trying to calm Bellatrix.

"You stay away from this, Dearborn," Bellatrix scowled. "This bitch slapped my father infront of all those filthy mudbloods and blood traitors, and she acts like she doesn't know him." She sent another spell towards them and they both dodged it.

"Oh! That man! He was your father? I didn't know it was your father," Kitty said staring straight into Bellatrix's eyes.

"You owe him an apology," Bellatrix growled.

"I don't owe anyone any apology," Kitty said coolly. "I didn't know he was your father. Or..."

"Or what?" Bellatrix got closer.

"You know... I really hate long discussions with strangers. Especially when they're this boring. I didn't know it was your father or I'd have smashed his whitey pearls onto the ground."

Bellatrix raised her wand to curse her, but Kitty was quicker. Instantly thick black smoke engulfed all of them. Kitty quickly grabbed Jacob's hand and they both ran. Bellatrix started shooting curses but luckily none of them hit the pair. Jacob tried to disapparate but they couldn't. Soon they were being attacked by more people. Even people around were screaming and running.

"Jake, you need to leave. They're here for me," Kitty urged.

"I'm not leaving you," Jacob snapped at her. "Wy the fck cannot I disapparate?"

A hex hit Jacob and he fell on the ground.

"Don't let her get away! The Dark Lord wants her!" Bellatrix screamed.

"Jake!" Kitty quickly helped him up and deflected an oncoming curse. "Sectumsempra," she slashed her wand.

They heard a loud groan and a thud.

In moments they were duelling Bellatrix and another masked death eater. Jacob took down the death eater, and Kitty surprisingly knocked down Bellatrix. Jacob pulled Kitty and was about to run, but she saw from the corner of her eye that Bellatrix was sending a curse. She pushed Jacob away and deflected the spell.

"You reckon you're better?" Bellatrix growled as she whipped her wand.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye. Kitty sent Jacob flying into a wall. Bellatrix got hold of Kitty and vanished into thin air. Jacob didn't miss the smirk on Kitty's face and her wink as Bellatrix captured her.

xxxxxxxxx

"You're telling me Pryde knocked down Bellatrix?" Sirius asked in disbelief.

Jacob nodded. "I don't understand. Why would she smirk and wink as if she's got what she wanted?" He asked confused.

"Oh dear! Bellatrix must be super furious right now," Emmeline commented.

"She can't be after Bellatrix. This is bad news," Remus groaned.

"She was waiting for that moment," James commented.

"What do you mean she is after Bellatrix? She was after Katherine!" Jacob said annoyed.

"No," Lily shook her head, concerned.

"What? But then...Why did she act like she didn't know Bellatrix?" Jacob asked confused.

"She was just buying you time," Sirius said scratching his neck. "She wanted you to escape."

"Wh...why is she after Bellatrix? Can someone explain?" Jacob was getting more annoyed by the moment.

"Uh...you do know she is sort of a seer right?" Remus asked slowly.

Jacob nodded. "Don't tell she saw something. She told me she isn't any good."

"Not always. But sometimes. So, she's trying to stop her from doing something. That's all I can say," Remus said.

"Why is Voldemort after her? She doesn't have anything to do with our community?!"

"Old voldy doesn't need a reason, does he?" Sirius took his cloak.

"Where are you going?" Lily asked.

"Dumbledore," James said, following Sirius.

"Jacob, you need to go take to the aurors," Remus told him.

"I don't understand. What is wrong with you?!" Jacob snapped. "Your sister has been taken by the death eaters and you're off to see Dumbledore and not the aurors!!"

"Jacob, I know what I am doing," James said calmly. "At this point no one can do anything. Do you think all the aurous are trustworthy and they can help you? No! Dumbledore is our best hope." "Don't worry, Pryde may seem reckless, but she knows what she is doing. She will be safe. Trust me," Sirius added.

James and Sirius left. So did the order members.

Lily and Remus looked at Jacob.

"Jacob, she will be fine. She will be back," Lily said calmly.

"She better be. Or I don't know what I'd do. I'll go see the aurors," Jacob said and walked out.

"Can you contact her?" Lily turned to Remus.

He shook his head.

"You reckon something went wrong?" She looked worried..

Remus shook his head. "We'd know. We'd always know. She must be unconscious or blocking us. Let's go."

"Fleamont and Euphemia aren't going to take it well."

xxxxxxxxxx

"I can't believe she has been taken," Sirius ruffled his hair, as they walked into Hogwarts' grounds.

"Out of all it had to Bellatrix. She had been waiting to face her off for a really long time. Lestrange, Dolohov, Greyback, Voldemort," James shook his head.

"She wrote their names down on a paper and reads...recirtes them down everyday as if it's kind of a ...ritual. I really hope she keeps her crazy mouth under control. She must be feeling alone and terrible. I need to talk to Reggie."

"Yeah. He might know something. Can you contact her?"

"Nope. I've been trying. Either she is unconscious or just blocked us out. What are you going to tell mom and dad?"

James sighed. "I don't know. I don't understand."

They rushed to Dumbledore's office.

"Ah! James and Sirius.. please take a seat," Dumbledore smiled. "Have some biscuits. Oh, happy birthday, Sirius!"

"They've taken her!" Sirius said quickly.

"We can't contact her either!" James added.

"I heard," Dumbledore nodded.

"Already? Who told you? No one knew!" James asked.

"Katherine contacted me while she was in Diagon Alley. She told me she'd be blocking contact for a while. And asked us to wait," Dumbledore replied calmly.

"Wha- what do you mean she contacted you?!"

"Why not us?!"

James and Sirius looked shocked.

"She thought you might not take it well," Dumbledore replied.

"Well, that's so nice of her," Sirius scoffed.

"She knew you'd make hasty decisions. She is going to be alright," Dumbledore smiled.

"Have you heard or know where she is?" James asked.

Dumbledore shook his head. "We might have to wait. Why don't you go and prepare yourselves? You have to rescue her later, don't you?"

xxxxxxxxxxxx

The moment they apparated, Bellatrix bound Kitty. "Where is your wand?" She growled trying to find Kitty's wand.

"You didn't give me enough time to pick it up from the ground," Kitty replied. "Why don't we go back to Diagon Alley?"

Bellatrix smacked Kitty hard on the face.

"Ouch! That hurts. Been a while someone hit me on the face," Kitty blinked hard. She looked around. It was almost dark and she couldn't see clearly. There were trees all around. And it seemed like the place is remote.

Two people dressed in black cloaks arrived as soon as they saw Bellatrix.

"Search for her wand," she ordered them. "And drag her in." She opened the large iron gates with a swish.

'Oh God! They stink. Wtf...don't they take shower or what?' Kitty groaned internally. "Woah...wait..hands off...I really don't like someone touching me. I'll walk on my own, thanks," she told them. "I won't run because it's useless."

"Shut your pretty mouth and move," one of them pushed her.

"I bet my life you're single," she muttered under her breath as she followed them into a huge two storied farm house.

xxxxxxxxxxxx

"I think I wanna pee. Not so urgent but... I have to... What should I do?"

It was the first thing Sirius heard in his head. He jumped to his feet immediately.

It had been almost two hours she was taken by Bellatrix. They were all trying to mind link her but she blocked them completely.

"PRYDE!! YOU'RE ALIVE!! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" He screamed.

The younger Potters, Jacob and few members of the Order looked at him surprised.

"I can hold it though. I'm good at it," she replied.

"YOU'RE ALIVE!" He screamed again falling on his knees. He was losing it.

"Shut up!!! You're giving me a headache," she groaned.

"Where are you? Are you alright?" Sirius asked.

Everyone around him were looking anxiously and confused.

"You're all sitting around with all those maps aren't you?" She asked.

"We're trying to find you but ..."

"You can't find me probably," she sighed.

"Are you alright?"

"I'm peachy."

"Is he there? Voldemort?"

"Voldy isn't here... They said he'd be coming soon."

"Did she hurt you?"

"Your cousin? She's a charming woman."

"I can't find Reggie."

"Me neither. I mean I haven't tried."

"Hang in there for a while. Can you tell me what kind of a place it is?"

"I could not see the outside clearly. It was almost dark. There are trees around. And ...I think this could be a barn house or something. Stone walled. Had a huge iron gate. No other houses for about miles maybe. I couldn't see any light. This place stinks man. I can hear water somewhere. Like whhoooooossshhhh wwhhoooosshhh. Could be sea side or something..."

"Check the sea side remote areas. Barn houses or something like that," Sirius told the members.

"Is Jacob alright? He must be worried."

"He's alright," Sirius replied, looking at Jacob. "He's with us."

"What do you mean 'with us'? Aren't you guys in the Order meeting or something? Or did you just give up on me and are partying?!"

Sirius sighed. "We are in the meeting. We did not give up on you."

"What is Jacob doing there then? He knows?"

"Yes, he knows."

Jacob raised his eyebrows. "Tell her we need to talk," he said calmly.

"He says you guys should have a talk," Sirius told Kitty.

"Oh dear. Does he look mad?"

"Not quite..."

"That's bad... I wanna pee!" She groaned.

"Ask them where the loo is!"

"This place doesn't look like it has a proper loo. I'd die rather than going to an unhygienic and disgusting loo. I really really really feel bad for people in the olden days, people who're abducted and people who can't have proper loos."

"Pryde! Is peeing your priority or a proper loo?"

"Proper loo, ofcourse!"

"Are you out of your minds?" James snapped at Sirius. "You think this is a joke?"

"What am I supposed to do if she is complaining about loo?"

"Padfoot, this is serious," Remus said sternly.

"Can she give us more details about where she could probably be?" Moody grunted.

"Pryde...is there anything else you could help us with your location?" Sirius asked her.

"I donno... This could probably be a den."

"What do you mean den?"

"I think these people are Werewolves."

Sirius' jaw dropped. "Were... werewolves? Are you sure?"

"Yeah... One of my roomies told me. They don't speak much and even if they speak I can't understand them but I think they said and I understood it's werewolves. Why you guys have so many accents? I think they're Scottish but I don't know."

"What do you mean roomies?"

"Oh... forgot to tell you. I'm not alone."

"Padfoot, tomorrow is a full moon," Remus looked at him worried.

Jacob got to his feet, frustrated.

"How many people are there?" Frank asked.

"Pryde, how many people are there?"

"Uh...my roomies are like five. Two kids. I've seen. Like three werewolves, four death eaters. They said Voldy would be coming so I can expect more visitors. Bellatrix is gone for now. But she'd be back. I'm not sure if the dad could make it."

"She says there are five people with her. Two of them are kids. The dad probably couldn't make it.. it seems. Three werewolves and four death eaters for now," Sirius told the group.

"What do you mean for now?" Alice asked.

Sirius sighed. "Old voldy would be going there in a while."

Silence filled the room.

James, Remus and Lily and were pacing up and down. Frank, Alice, Moody were checking the maps.

"You haven't answered my question yet, Sirius."

The way she called him 'Sirius' made him realize that she isn't in a good condition.

"What question?" He asked calmly.

"Why you guys have so many accents? An accent per square mile. You white people are too much and are always high on cheap crack."

"I don't know. People who started those might've been on cheap crack," he replied.

"I sometimes don't understand you, James and Peter either. Only mum and dad, Lily and Remus are sweet enough to talk to me in RP or that BBC accent whatever."

"I'm sorry. I'll try to speak more clearly in that BBC accent next time." His worry grew every second.

"Tell Jacob he doesn't have to worry too much about fixing me up. I'm good."

Sirius looked at Jacob. "She says you don't have to worry too much about fixing her up. She says she is good."

Dumbledore arrived just then. "Don't you all worry. She is going to be alright."

"What do you mean she is going to be alright?" Jacob raised his voice in frustration. "She is in danger and no one knows what could go wrong when he deals with her!"

Dumbledore smiled. "You need to have a little faith in her. Voldemort is not going to deal with her. It could be other way around."

"What do you —"

"I think he's arrived," Sirius cut them off.

Everyone turned to Sirius.

"Moody, it's time you get ready. Lily and Mr. Dearborn, how about you go to Mungo's and be prepared—"

"I want to go with them," Jacob cut him off.

"You can't," Moody said sternly.

"And you shouldn't," Alice added. "Look I understand you. But no."

"We'll get her home safe, mate," Sirius said.

"Jay, please," Alice looked at her brother with pleading eyes.

"The last thing Katherine would want is to throw you in harm's way. She made sure to keep you safe till this evening. She even tried to buy you some time so they wouldn't get their hands on you. She told me she doesn't want you to be dragged into this. Why don't we respect her decision?

Jacob didn't say anything. He sat there calm.

"Now, let's wait,"Dumbledore said helping himself a cup a of tea.

"He's there," Sirius said looking around seriously.

That moment, James, Lily, Remus and Dumbledore got mind linked to her too.

The room fell silent.

"It's really weird how she does that," Frank commented.

"Don't you have that ...mind link thing?" Alice asked Jacob.

He shook his head..

"She said she could do it with only them," Marlene piped in. "I once saw what she wanted to show. I got chills all over. But I never had that... mind link...or connection whatever."

xxxxxxxx

One of the death eaters dragged Kitty into a well lit living room full of people. They were sitting around a long table.

"Potter," said a high, clear voice from the head of the table.

Kitty blinked her eyes hard to adjust to the room and look clearly. "Uhhh... Hi?" She replied awkwardly.

The room filled with cackles, jeering and murmuring.

"Bring her closer," Voldemort ordered.

The death eater shoved and knocked Kitty to her knees infront of Voldemort.

Voldemort peered into her eyes.

His face was waxy. Distorted. His eyes were red.

"Wow," Kitty breathed. And a smile crept on her lips. "Wow," she said again looking into Voldemort's eyes.

Voldemort looked confused for a moment. So did the people in the room.

'Why does she look amused? Why cannot I, Lord Voldemort, see fear in her eyes?' He thought.

Bellatrix raised her wand. "Crucio!" She screamed. "How dare you look at the Dark Lord! How dare you look at and talk to him, you filthy blood traitor!"

Kitty writhed in pain.

"Bellatrix, stop!" Voldemort said in his cold voice.

The pain stopped, Kitty calmed herself taking deep breaths.

"You seem amused," Voldemort muttered, tilting his head. 'I cannot look into her mind. Is she an Occlumens?' he thought to himself. 'Her voice is so calm despite the state she is in.'

"Seems odd but...yeah," she smiled brightly at him. "Finally we meet! I mean I've been waiting for this day."

Voldemort's face was expressionless. But Kitty didn't miss the glint of surprise in his eyes. No one looked him straight in the eye. And no one, especially the ones who are abducted, seemed glad to be facing him.

"Oh dear Salazar! Please let this moment sink in for a while," she said looking at him rather hungrily.

There was a moment of silence as they watched the whole thing going on, in confusion.

"Can...can I stand please? Because...uh...I'm feeling a little discomfort in the lower body," she asked in a low voice.

Reluctantly, Voldemort gave a slight nod, and Kitty got to her feet. The smile never left her lips and she never took her eyes off him.

"Wow, I've heard loads of things about you. But... But...they're ...uh... Not accurate... Not told enough. Your presence... wow... Has...had anyone ever told you that you give off this amazing vibe...like I don't know what you people call it here.. but we call it 'parama chethha vedhava chillara baadco'. Of course these normal people cannot feel it. It needs more to feel the vibe...the aura," Kitty smiled brightly. "I met so many wizards but never felt this vibe before. I swear." Kitty spoke in a really calm, breathy, low deep voice. She made sure there is sincerity in every word she spoke. "I'm sorry I'm blabbering. I can't stop but appreciate..."

Bellatrix hissed.

Kitty saw the corners of his lips curl a little.

'I am Lord Voldemort. I'm the greatest and the most powerful wizard the world has ever seen,' he thought as he felt proud of himself and his greatness.

"Potter," he said in his cold voice. "I heard strange stories about you."

"Strange? I... I don't understand."

Voldemort peered into her eyes. "I hear you are a seer."

"Seer? Not really a good one actually. I'm still learning. Working on my inner eye. I'm more of an artist and I'd really really love to paint your picture. You have powerful features."

People around were grunting and snarling.

"My men tell me you have strange eyes," Voldemort continued as if he hadn't heard her.

"Strange? I don't know who saw it but... I might've confused him for moment. It runs in our family. It's a curse."

"You work for Dumbledore and you caused us a great loss," Voldemort twirled his wand. 'I can't still read her mind. People are vulnerable at this point. But she is different. Either she is a fool or a really good witch,' he thought.

"Me work for Dumbledore? That old man? He is a great wizard. But bit of a fool," Kitty chuckled.

'She agrees he is an old fool. Interesting.'

"I work for no one. And I'm sure I never came in your way. I'm a person who minds her own business."

Bellatrix screamed and shot a cruciatus curse at her. "You liar!!! How dare you lie to the Dark Lord!"

Kitty screamed in pain as she fell to the ground.

"Enough, Bellatrix!" Voldemort snapped at her.

Bellatrix quivered.

"If you aren't working for Dumbledore, what were you doing at Knocturn Alley that day? Why were you following our men? And why do you visit Dumbledore at Hogwarts every day?"

Kitty got back up. When she spoke, her calm soothing voice came out. "Knocturn Alley? Are you perhaps talking about that attack that happened like 7 months ago? I was lost. I was looking for my friends and I came face to face with one of your men. It was a total misunderstanding."

"You called my name!" Pyrites snarled from across the table.

"I'm a seer," Kitty rolled her eyes. But her voice remained calm. She never took her eyes off Voldemort. "When I meet people, I don't know how to explain but.. if I try, I could feel them. Their name or a memory. I usually don't do it without the person's consent but I thought I was in danger. And I had to hear who it was."

"Hear?" Voldemort raised his thin eyebrows. 'Is she a liar?'

"Being a seer is a curse that runs in our family. We're not like the rest of the seers. We hear voices. My family stayed away from the practice because it wasn't good. And ... dangerous to us."

"Tell me about the Order of the Phoenix," Voldemort asked seriously.

Kitty gave him a serious confused look. "Order of what?" She asked looking at him totally confused.

"She's lying!" Bellatrix snarled.

"Woman, whatever the situation is, I never lie," Kitty replied. "I cannot lie." She made sure she was talking in a really calm and soothing voice, but never taking her eyes off Voldemort. "If you would like, I'd like to talk to you in private," she finally told him.

The room erupted into murmurs, snarls and grunts.

Voldemort did not take his eyes off her but said, "Leave us alone," to his followers. 'This is getting interesting. Either she is going to die or join my ranks tonight.'

Silence fell. And the next moment the room was empty except for Kitty and Voldemort.

"Tell me, Potter. Why is that you want to talk to me in private?" Voldemort asked.

"First of all, can I please have your word?"

"My word?"

"Please let me walk out as a free woman. Alive and intact."

"Why should I ?"

"Because there are certain things I'm about to say that might interest you."

Voldemort laughed. A cold laugh. It would send chills down anyone's spine. But Kitty felt disgusted.

"You don't believe me?" Kitty tilted her head.

Voldemort looked at her.

For the first time, Kitty closed her eyes and hummed slowly.

"Nae pi ttam nunmulNae majimak chumeulDa gajyeoga ga...Nae pi ttam nunmulNae chagaun sumeulDa gajyeoga ga..Nae pi ttam nunmulNae pi ttam nunmuldoNae mom maeum yeonghondoNeoui geosin geol jal algo isseoIgeon nareul beolbatge hal jumun," she hummed in her deep voice.

Voldemort was looking at her intently, with a mix of confusion and surprise. 'What is she doing?'

Kitty opened her eyes and groaned in pain. She clutched her head and groaned as if someone is hammering on her head. After few seconds, she stopped, took deep breaths and looked into Voldemort's eyes.

"Born as the twelfth month died. In those veins run the noble blood of Salazar Slytherin through the great Gaunt family. Related to the founders of two greatest Wizarding schools. Lord Voldemort, you will remain as one of the greatest sorcerers the world has ever seen. Death will pass by your abode 7 times but will never enter, unless you invite it."

Voldemort was clearly taken aback. 'No one knew about my lineage. Did she say 7 times? Does she know the things I have done?' He thought to himself.

"Being a seer is a curse to our family. Has been for generations. It is dangerous to our lives...our souls. We can't lie even if we want to. We have code of conduct. Break any of the rules, we will...no..our souls will be facing the consequences in the afterlife."

Smile crept on Voldemort's face. 'Is she really a seer? Can she see the things I've done? Should I kill her?'

"Your word," Kitty whispered softly.

"Potter, it is not a curse," Voldemort said in his cold, amused voice.

Kitty shook her head. "The voices we hear are from the dead souls. They hurt us and haunt us. Reading fortunes or looking into someone's life and meddling with their lives can be fatal to our souls. The reason why our family stayed away from this stuff. My grandfather once mentioned in the passing that it damages our soul if we dwell too much into it. I was told not even to think about anyone too much or it'd effect their soul too. I can't put someone in danger."

Voldemort stared at her. 'She can hear voices from the dead? What does she mean by damaging souls?'

"It started when some crazy ancestor did something with a soul stone that was passed on for generations. See, back then wizards and witches were hunted. Even in our country. Our ancestor wanted to save our lives. But things didn't go as planned as she missed some crucial things, the stone got destroyed. Since then things went haywire. They wanted to amend that...but the bargain was a soul for soul. Little did they know that if someone tried to take a life of our family, the curse on the killer would be seven fold. So when her husband decided to do the soul for soul sacrifice, he accidentally brought the curse 7 fold on us in return. The reason why I came here is to get out of the curse," Kitty paused. "You see, when my father learnt about this curse, he left my mum. He was a wizard. Yes. But most of us are raised by single mothers. That was a curse too, husband would abandon wife when she conceives. Brutal thing isn't? I'm now trying to make things right. If you're planning on to ask me to join you, I'm sorry. I cannot be of any help to you."

Silence filled the room again.

'A soul stone? What is a soul stone? Should I believe her words?'

"May...may I hold your hand?" She asked him quietly.

Voldemort was shocked again. No one ever dared to touch him. 'She dared asked to touch me? The Dark Lord? Will she know about my deepest secrets? If she does, I will kill her tonight.'

"I know... No one ever dared to touch you. Or talk to you in private. But... I think I'm different. If I have your word that you'd spare me and let me go home, and you let me touch you, I could tell you the result of this war. That's all I could do for you now," she said calmly.

After moments of silence, Voldemort gave a slight nod. 'Result of the war? I know I would win. I cannot die. Her answer would decide her future.'

Kitty slowly moved closer to him and took his hands in his. It was as cold and ice.

'Why do I feel a sudden sense of warmth? What is this feeling?'

"Wow, your palm is double the size of mine," she chuckled under her breath. "I'm sorry," she quickly said and stared at his palm, holding his wrist. "Sirin gyeoulbaram gipeun baljaguk arae hollo pieona...Naega taeeonago neol mannan iyureul chajaseo hemaeeo," she hummed.

'What is this strange incantation?'

She groaned in pain for a while and then let go off his hand and looked at him.

"Your word, Dark Lord," she looked into his eyes.

"You have my word that I will spare your life and let you go home," Voldemort said in his cold voice. 'Her eyes looks hungry and sincere. Nevertheless, I will not trust anyone.'

They were standing a feet apart. He was tall, Kitty had to lift her head high to meet his eyes.

"Thank you," she smiled brightly. "You will win the war. But there will be severe loss. You have two courageous and one loyal but obsessed servant who would never leave your side. The rest of your people work in fear. But I see a block. I'm not sure what it is..." She counted her fingers. "Maybe ...3 or 4 months from now. You will hear something that plays a crucial role in this war. Your decisions on it would change how you win the war."

'A block in my way to victory? 3 or 4 months? What would I be hearing that would play a crucial role in this war? Did I succeed in making the Horcrux?'

Silence filled the room...

"How do I know if you're not lying," he hissed.

"Because if I were lying, you would know by now. You are a great wizard who does great things. You've seen loads of wizards and witches. You sure can distinguish a truth from a lie. To my knowledge, I've told you what was told to me by the souls. I didn't hide a thing. I didn't dwell deep into your past or present or future to not harm you or myself. And if I were lying, I'd be on the floor gasping for breath because, the bigger the lie we say, the harder it would be for us to breathe," she told him sincerely. "Try a truth serum and check if I'm lying."

Voldemort stared into her eyes for a while. 'A truth serum? Why didn't she say Legilimency? Does she know I cannot read her? Or is it not possible to read the minds of seers?' he thought. "Leave," he said finally.

Kitty blinked. "Can... Can I go home now?"

Voldemort did not say a word. His eyes were furrowed and he kept staring at her. 'I cannot let her go.'

Kitty took a step back. "Thank you... I'd be leaving then," she said calmly.

He flicked his wand and the door flew open.

Slowly the death eaters started walking in.

"Master, what did that filthy blood traitor say? Master, can I kill her now?" Bellatrix slithered to her master.

"Not today, Bella," Voldemort replied. 'I have more use of her.'

"But master —"

Voldemort gave her a cold look and she froze.

"Thank you," Kitty said in her soft voice. "I'll leave."

"Master, you're letting her go?!" Bellatrix whimpered.

"She tortured my brother," one of the death eaters said. Amycus Carrow.

"She used dark curses on our people," another added.

"I gave my word to Potter that I will spare her life and let her go home," Voldemort hissed. As he stressed on 'I'.

'Son of a bitch,' Kitty groaned internally.

"Thank you, master," Bellatrix cackled.

One of the death eaters grabbed Kitty and dragged her out of the room.

"I can walk on my own," she snapped at him.

Kitty felt sharp pain in her body as the curses hit her. She fainted.

There was a commotion. She heard screams and opened her eyes. She knew they were here. She slowly got up and looked around. The family were still there, all huddled up together. She limped towards them. "Come on. Let's go. We have to move," she urged them.

She slowly helped the family up, the kids, though shaking in fear, followed her. She quickly opened the lock with her knife and made sure the coast is clear. They slowly made their way out. Out no where, a huge dark figure appeared before them.

"Running away, are we?" He grunted.

"Move," Kitty said calmly.

"Look at this bitch ordering around—"

Before he could take a step forward, he froze and fell on the ground, unconscious.

A masked death eater was standing behind him with his wand raised.

"Alright there?" He asked.

"I'm ok," Kitty replied.

"You are in a right state," he commented, taking the wand from the death eater and giving it to Kitty. "That way," he pointed to another way. "Go to the trees on your left," he said as he ran back in the same direction he came from.

Kitty and the family ran to the door and out of that house. Flashes of light were going haywire. Aurors and the death eaters were duelling.

She helped the family to the place Regulus mentioned. Emmeline and Marlene were waiting for them. And they all disapparared to Mungo's.
