Now on with the story. (*w*

"Is it too early to tell you that I'm a dragon slayer?" The teen asked.

That sentence replayed in the minds of Fairy Tail's Exceeds for what must've been an hour, but it was only five minutes.

Once the Exceeds were able to get a hold on their senses Lily reached and pulled out his sword on his back then, he changed into his battle form.

(Which was a bigger, stronger and more powerful then the form he was using)

At the same time Carla stood in front of Happy and moved an arm in front of the blue Exceed.

The teen could tell that they were protecting the blue Exceed, he had noticed a wave of despair emanating from Happy, But there was something else was throwing him off.

(What could it be? I understand the difference in magic power/level between them but still something feels off but what?)

The teen thought as he looked at them.

He then gave an annoyed sigh as he closed his eyes and crossed his arms.

"I don't want to be an enemy to you. I'm here to help." He said as he walked towards the group.

As he did he closed his book and sent it to some sort of pocket dimension.

"Yeah right! A dragon slayer just so happens to appear out of nowhere to three Exceeds."

"I highly doubt you just so happened to be here by accident."

Lily said with a hint of anger in his voice.

Each word was nearly loud enough to be heard miles away.

"What guild are you in anyway?" Carla asked while keeping up her protective stance/pose, ready to cast her transformation spell to take on the wizard before them.

"I suppose you're right." The boy said, shortly after he spoke his eyes took shape to that of a dragon.

This caused the two Exceeds/wizards to put their guard up even more.

(Is he using his dragon slayer eyes in a similar way that Sting can hear someone's thoughts?).

(If so this might more challenging and dangerous then I originally thought). This is what the black Exceed was thinking - as he tightened his grip on the sword in his hands/paws.

The boy closed his eyes and once again let out an annoyed sigh as he scratched the back of his head.

"No that isn't what I was using them for."

"Well technically your are right, But at the same time gone off in a completely different direction."

The teen said. Once he opened them he saw a look of absolute shock etched on their faces.

"W-w-what do you M-m-m-mean?"

"Y-y-you j-j-j-just read his thoughts just now!" Happy said with a stuttering voice. Carla could tell that Happy's voice got more and more scared, and yet she couldn't look him in the eye.

"Didn't he?" He asked his guild mates who glanced at him for a few seconds before turning their attention back to the teen.

Even though both of them wanted to, they couldn't tell the blue tom cat things were going to be fine.

"Well kinda. I was reading his aura." The boy said Carla's ear twitched as he explained what he just did.

"I used a spell called Ôra shiryoku otherwise known as - Aura sight. As the name implies I can see someone's aura."

"However…"

The boy took a steady breath as he continued.

"Aura isn't connected to the mind. It's connected to their heart." The boy said but just as he opened his mouth to explain more, Carla interrupted with a theory she just came up with.

"By their heart I assume that you mean a person's feelings and emotions, And since Lily was feeling protective and angry, you saw them and worked out what he was thinking."

"Or at the very least figured out bits and pieces of his thoughts." Carla stated with a stern manner.

The look on the teen's face was a priceless look of both shocked and impressed as a sly smile slowly made it's way onto his face.

"I'm impressed that you figured it out." He said with a chuckle.

"You are indeed correct. I saw what emotions Lily had while he was thinking and guessed at what was going on in his head."

The boy said with a toothy grin, one that looked friendly and kind.

But they still didn't change their opinion of the teen, and yet Happy did. That grin reminded him of his best friend Natsu.

But nonetheless the words were all the evidence they needed. Evidence to say he is not only a dragon slayer but a highly skilled one.

"Well ain't that something." Lily said as he tried to hide any emotions, digging his feet/paws into the ground.
