Fletch's suggestion was in her head and it wasnt getting out no matter how hard she tried, she couldnt shift the idea, the loathing idea, of having another child to save one of the two she already had. She shook her head in disbelief at the thought. That would be three children, all to her, two to him, Emma to Jonny it was all so messy and it disgusted her to the point of the whole, mother father living together situation she grew up longing for, the idealistic situation that she was brought up to believe was right but never had, mother and father raising their children, it made her shudder. Jac couldnt see past what she thought were true facts in front of her. Work was hell as a result though, when she was in he was usually in unless he decided to do the night shift for whatever reason. It meant they had to work together, she was surprised he wasnt pressurising her for an answer, she was thankful for that.

"Hey" he whispers entering her office with a bunch of papers, she smiles up at him before turning to her screen as she was researching her daughter's condition "I just need your signature?"

"Sure" she smiles as he glances to the screen, his eyes fall to where she was signing all the papers "There you go"

"Thanks" he smiles and places his hand on her shoulder, she breathes out and looks at the screen before shrugging and closing her research "Do you want to talk about it?"

"What else is there to say?"

"It might help you...I dont know...understand a bit more if we talked about it?" he offers, she shrugs and looks at him "How about I come around to yours today? Cook you some dinner and you can have a bath whilst I watch Eloise?"

"You'd do that for me?"

"You're part of my family now, both of you...and dont be scared of those words, they werent said to scare you"

"Ok then" she smiles and nods "We finish at the same time today so...and Frieda's on the nightshift so"

"I'll see you back at yours" he smiles, she nods and watches him leave before sighing and bringing up her research again

The rest of the work day dragged on, she was thankful to get home and just see her daughter and give her the biggest hug, she had missed her a lot today. It made her feel all warm inside when her child's eyes lit up at the sight of her father, she immediately launched herself into his arms whilst Jac had a catch-up with Frieda. She smiled as Fletch sat Eloise on the counter and got her to help with making dinner, it caused her to laugh slightly and put her feet up knowing her daughter was well and truly entertained. It made her think about the future, about whether she was doing her daughter an injustice not putting herself through this, since Fletch had been in her life she had lost some of her fight, that fight was now being shared between them but she was starting to think that he was right and that maybe this was the way forward for them all now. She also wanted to give her daughter all the time in the world with her dad after keeping him from her throughout her entire life.

"Dinner is served" he beams and Jac laughs slightly at the homemade pizza they had made "Handmade to perfection"

"Here was me thinking you werent a culinary genius" she smirks and sits up at the table, Eloise grins at her "Do you want to try a little bit?"

"Yep" Eloise continues to grin and Jac smiles, she cuts off a small piece of pizza for her daughter

"Remember to eat slowly" she whispers and runs her fingers through her daughter's hair "Thank you for this"

"It's not a problem, you deserve a night off from mummy duties with everything thats going on" he smiles, she nods tiredly and begins to eat "I want to be here Jac, and you're not going to push me away-"

"I dont intend to, she loves having you around, I want you to have a relationship with her" Jac confirms, he offers her a weak smile "After we've finished we do need to think about getting her to bed"

"Can daddy do it?"

"It's up to him" Jac looks at him, and Fletch nods and smiles at his daughter "She knows what to do, she'll tell you"

"Well I bet I can do it better than you"

"Are you actually going to make bedtime a challenge?" she looks at him, an eyebrow raised, he nods "You're so immature"

"You love a contest"

"Oh shut up, I'm going to have a bath"

Jac was sitting in the bath relaxing, she was enjoying this time out and through the door, she could hear Eloise and Fletch just talking about anything and everything. He was asking her questions about her favourite things, her likes and dislikes, she smiled at the thought of them getting on so well. He was a great dad, she could see what everyone at work was going on about and it made her feel unexpectedly warm inside. When she got out of the bath she got changed into some loungewear and headed to Eloise's room, she leaned against the door and smiled as she watched Fletch just have Eloise propped up against his side, his fingers gliding through her hair causing her to smile. Their gaze met and she bit her lip so he turned the light off and made sure she was comfortable and fast asleep before they headed downstairs to talk.

"Here" he passes her a coffee, she hums and smiles appreciatively before grabbing the blanket and draping it over her legs "Did you find anything when you were researching-"

"All dead ends" she shrugs, he nods and sits down with her, a coffee in hand as well "She loves you y'know"

"I dont know how, we've only known each other for a little under two weeks" he chuckles quietly, Jac shrugs

"Loves love" she looks at him, he looks at her before dropping his gaze "She always knew who you were, I had a couple of pictures from Emma that I showed to her, I stupidly told her not to say anything if she ever saw you because it's complicated and the last thing she needs is to get hurt in all of this"

"I understand your reasoning, I think but you still should have told me" he sighs and shakes his head "Whether it was over phone, text, email, I wouldnt have cared-"

"Would you have believed me though?" she looks at him, an eyebrow raised, he sighs and bites his lip "Your reaction is exactly why I didnt"

"Only if things were different"

"More like only if I didnt flee" she comments swiftly, he sighs and shakes his head before placing his hand on her leg "I had to get out of there, it was driving me up the wall being..."

"So you went to Pakistan?" he whispers, she nods slowly

"Not at first though, I took Emma on holiday, she deserved to have something out of this considering how the balance between motherhood and work turned sour. She deserved that at the very least, creating memories, that sort of thing. We went to France, then spent a few days at Disneyland, she always wanted to go, and would get jealous when she saw other families going so I made sure we did something together. After we headed to Pakistan to see Elliot, I needed to just breathe and see something else other than Holby and then thats when I found out I was pregnant and then I just got on with it"

"I bet Elliot enjoyed having you back"

"Hm yeah he was a great support, especially when everything went downhill with Eloise" she shakes her head "But I'm ok, I am, its just life and in a way she's lucky to have me as a mum, I am a doctor-"

"One of the best"

"Flattery will get you nowhere Adrian" she smirks, he chuckles at her words "But thank you for keeping her entertained for the evening"

"You know its no problem, I want to be involved"

"I know" she whispers before closing her eyes and letting out a breath "I have been thinking about your idea by the way"

"Really?"

"Yeah" she nods slowly "And I agree its something we should look into"

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure" she confirms with a small smile, he breathes out and nods "But you have to promise to let us do this my way, we're going private obviously and you have to promise not to be too overbearing"

"I just want you to be sure, we can always find another way, continue to go through treatment and wait for a stem cell donor"

"As much as that would be the idealistic situation I can't help but think that by the time we wait for a donor I could have had the baby that would save her" she whispers, he nods slowly and she offers a weak smile "We have to try everything Fletch, I'm not losing her, not after all this fight I've put in so far so we're doing this"

"Well..." he trails off and takes her hand "I'll be there for whatever you need"

"Thank you" she nods, he smiles at her and she smiles at him before frowning as he brought her in for a hug, she gingerly wrapped her arms around his body and allowed him to hold her and that felt so right at that moment

She showed him out of her home, she smiled and told him that she would do some research on some clinics, he nodded and told her to keep him informed. It was around eleven when she decided to get into bed, she yawned and decided to check on Eloise, she sat on the edge of the bed and her daughter woke feeling rather unwell so Jac scooped her up into her arms and held her against her body as she cried into her mother's neck, when she pulled away Jac sighed and noticed she had a nosebleed so she grabbed some tissue and pressed it against her nose as her daughter cried.

"With you" Eloise yawns tiredly as Jac removes the tissue, she hushes her daughter "Tired mummy"

"Come on then, let's get you into bed" she whispers picking up the blanket and sorting out all the tubes to take her into her bed "You have to promise not to wriggle"

"Daddy" Eloise cries, Jac hushes her gently but her daughter's cries got louder and louder "Please"

"Alright, alright I'll give him a ring," Jac says quietly as she picks up her phone, she calls Fletch and he answers immediately "Hi Fletch"

"Is everything ok?" he asks noticing the tiredness in her voice, she groans as Eloise takes the phone from her

"Hi daddy" Eloise mumbles into the phone, he chuckles and Jac was sure she could see him roll his eyes "Dont feel well"

"No? Oh I'm sorry to hear that sweetheart"

"Wanted to call you"

"Well you can call me anytime," he says quietly, Jac smiles to herself as she runs her fingers through Eloise's hair "Day or night"

"Okay" Eloise lets out a yawn "Could you read a story?"

"Shall I have a look to see what books I have here, you need to pass the phone back to mummy though so I can speak to her, can you do that?" Fletch asks and Eloise immediately passes the phone to Jac

"Hey" Jac mumbles tiredly "Sorry about that, she had a nosebleed and she finds them quite upsetting"

"It's fine Jac, seriously, I'm here to help remember, I want to help both of you" he whispers, she bites her lip "I'll go and find a book and read to her so you dont have to do it"

"No, I think its ok, she's fallen asleep" Jac chuckles, and Fletch laughs as well "I'll see you tomorrow, sorry about that"

"You dont need to apologise and yeah I'll see you tomorrow, bye"

"Bye"
