He watched her throughout the entirety of her lunch break ringing top-rated clinics, at this point, she didnt care if they had to travel to get it done, it was happening and she was definite with her decision and he knew once she had it in her head then she would be on it. She managed to get an appointment booked so she spent the rest of her lunch break just compiling a folder of information stating what she wanted from this appointment they would be going to next week. Fletch noticed how stressed she was so he stood behind her and massaged her shoulders gently causing her to frown and let him continue as it did help relieve the tension.

"Thats nice" she whispers and closes her eyes, he smiles to himself "Why are you doing this though?"

"You need to relax," he says quietly "You're stressed and thats not going to help Eloise when you get home"

"We are doing the right thing aren't we?" she asks, he sits on the edge of the desk

"Are you having doubts?"

"No, I just...I want it to be for something not...nothing" she winces at her words, he smiles sympathetically knowing it was hard to word or even comprehend "We are doing the right thing"

"It'll be ok" he confirms, she smiles before groaning as her pager goes off "Summoned?"

"Yeah...I should deal with this"

"I'm here if you want to talk"

"I know you are"

She wasnt entirely ready to let her guard down around him just yet, granted he had seen her sob her eyes out, seen her at low points in her life but even so she was unsure about this situation. Jac just felt as if the trust wasnt there, she was scared to trust him in case things went wrong. In front of her daughter, she would try though, it's the least she deserves, if she wanted her daddy in her life then she would have him, she deserved all of that. When she had finished for the day she headed home, when she got in she was surprised to see Frieda there sorting out Eloise's tubes and medications for her, she thanked her greatly and took over.

"Do you want to do it?" Jac smiles passing her the syringe, Eloise giggles and pushes the syringe down slowly "Good girl, now we need to do the next one"

"That one"

"No we need to do this one first" she whispers passing it to her daughter, she watches her attach it to the tubes "Good girl"

"One more"

"Yes one more" Jac smiles passing it to her, Eloise attaches it and grins at her mother who helped push the syringe down "There we go"

"Can we go and see daddy?"

"No sweetheart, daddy's working with Frieda tonight" Jac brushes her fingers through her daughter's hair "I'm sorry"

"It's ok" Eloise shrugs, she closes her eyes and curls into her mother's side "Movie?"

"You choose" she smiles and Eloise grabs the remote, Jac sighs and pulls the blanket over their bodies until her phone went off, she pulled it out and frowned seeing Fletch's number so she answers "Hi? Everything ok?"

"You're needed in work, there's been an emergency thats just come in and Frieda cant deal with it on her own"

"What? How am I meant to find a suitable babysitter for our daughter?" she asks in disbelief

"I'm going to come and look after her at yours, I've found a nurse to cover me so I can come and do it," Fletch tells her, she sighs "So are we on?"

"Yes, ok, we're on"

"I'll be on my way"

When Fletch arrived Jac headed to work, Eloise was more than happy to have her father look after her. She sighed and shook her head before heading in. Jac got the job done even if she was tired, it was starting to catch up on her but she pushed on through with Frieda. After she had finished she made herself a coffee and then got changed ready to go home as she was no longer needed as Frieda could cope on her own. When she got in the house was dark so she winced as she flicked the light on and made herself a glass of water to then head up to bed. She frowned when she entered the bedroom seeing Fletch and Eloise asleep on her bed, she chuckled quietly before looking at the telly where the ending of some movie they had obviously been watching had finished. Jac took the remote and turned it off before grabbing the massive blanket that was on the armchair in the corner of the room and chucking it over them both. He woke though causing her to bite her lip.

"Hi"

"Hey" he rubs his eyes, he slides out of bed making sure Eloise had enough of the blanket "Sorry she was really unsettled so I put a movie on for her to fall asleep to"

"Thats fine, anything to get her off is welcome" Jac confirms as they step out of the room "Thanks for that"

"No problem" he yawns tiredly, she bites her lip, and he bites his "I should go..."

"You dont have to...I mean...you can stay until your shift starts?" she offers, he frowns and checks the time "We could have a coffee?"

"Yeah alright," he confirms "You must be tired though?"

"I can sleep during the day when she does" Jac confirms, he smiles and nods as they head downstairs, she puts the kettle on "She worships the ground you walk on you know?"

"Well I am just so irresistible"

"Dont let it go to your head" she rolls her eyes and makes them both a coffee, she passes him a mug

"I'm glad she likes me though"

"Me too, I never hear the end of her wanting to see you" Jac laughs slightly, he smiles at her before pulling out his phone "Everything ok?"

"Yeah, it's just an old message from Evie saying the kids got to sleep alright" he shrugs, she nods slowly "Are you nervous?"

"About?"

"The appointment next week?" he asks, she sighs and shrugs "I'm nervous"

"It's not like you have to go through hell" she points out, he rolls his eyes at her comment "All you have to do is like one thing, I actually have to carry another baby if it works"

"True" he sighs, she bites her lip "But you're amazing, you'll do it because thats just you, it's what you do"

"What? Be persistent and determined"

"If the shoe fits" he smiles before drinking his coffee, she looks at him and he looks at her "And if you do get pregnant I'm going to be there, for you and for the baby, I'll be your rock-"

"I dont need a rock" she mutters, he laughs slightly knowing she was already using him as one "Besides we shouldn't get our hopes up, I'm old and past it now"

"Sometimes miracles happen though dont they?"

"I guess thats a fair point" she closes her eyes, he smiles sympathetically "One thing it does mean though is that I'll have to start taking care of myself, no night shifts, no on-call...just rest and relaxation, no working up until due dates... it's just crazy that my life might actually become that after everything"

"I'll be there to help as well" he whispers, she smiles slightly and nods "I'll be there every step of the way, thats a promise"

"Well...we'll see if you live up to that promise, won't we?"
