Her head was still resting against their daughters, he smiled at the sight, it was something that filled him with warmth entirely. She was such a good mother, he had no doubt about that when he saw her with Emma all those years ago but her actually being a mother to his child was something else. Fletch had the utmost building adoration for this woman in front of him, the only thing managing to push it aside was the complicatedness of it all, and Eloise who didnt need that in her life right now especially, with the fight she was going through. Fletch headed down to Pulses and picked up some breakfast for Jac and himself, he brought it back up and Jac smiled at him, obviously awake now, and took the food he was offering, she was starving.

"Can I have some?" Eloise asks, Jac shakes her head before pointing to her tube "Please?"

"No sweetheart, you can't eat just in case something happens" Jac hated the fact that she couldn't give her definitive answers "I'm sorry"

"Why do I have to be sick?" she asks, Jac's eyes filled with tears, she was surprised to find her eyes lock onto Fletch's, it gave her the strength to say the words that were needed

"We've spoken about this" Jac whispers, she remembers when she first told Eloise that she was sick "The hardest things happen to the strongest of people"

"But I'm just a child" Eloise's words were swallowed up by Jac, she nodded and breathed out before looking to Fletch for advice

"We know" Fletch whispers and sits on the side of the bed, he kisses Eloise on her forehead "Maybe you're just the strongest child out there"

"Stronger than everyone?"

"The strongest" Jac whispers against her daughter's head, Eloise grins at her parents "And hopefully one day you'll get better, mummy and daddy are going to try our best to make it happen"

"I don't want to die," Eloise says sadly, Jac closes her eyes and Fletch could see how hard this was on her having to deal with these questions "Please help me, mummy"

"I'm going to help you, I am" she whispers into her daughter's head, Fletch takes Jac's hand into his and smiles at them both wishing things were different

It was a glimmer of hope when the clinic rang and they could get the ball moving on their IVF plan, Jac was nervous now, she knew it would be harder to get pregnant with her age and other issues she faced but she was going to do this to save her daughter so she could live the best life possible. Jac headed off to the clinic whilst Fletch stayed with Eloise as she had her blood transfusion. When Jac came back she smiled and sat picked Eloise up and placed her on her lap as she was very tired and distraught with the whole thing, she knew something had happened and Fletch confirmed that she was quite distraught with the whole situation.

"When is enough…enough?" Jac looks at him, he smiles sadly and nods slowly knowing everything was getting to her "When do I have to make the decision that…"

"We don't need to go there yet" he sits on the arm of the chair, she rests her head against his body before smiling gently at his fingers gliding through her hair "She's going to fight this Jac"

"And then when she runs out of fight what then? I just want my baby to get through this, not be in pain, I hate seeing her in pain Fletch"

"I know you do, I know" he whispers against her head "How about I cook for you tonight, we'll get Frieda to sit with her throughout the night and you can have some time off, we both can?"

"I don't know Fletch"

"She's probably going to be out like a light, it's been an exhausting day for her" Fletch massages her head, she hums and nods "My kids are looked after so before you make an excuse…"

"Ok fine, you win" she sighs before smiling as Eloise wakes up "Hey sweetheart, how are you feeling?"

"Don't like it" Eloise mumbles and Fletch gently guides her head away from all the tubes so she could look up at Jac who was just holding her close

"Look at mummy" Fletch whispers and Eloise nods tiredly allowing her eyes to settle on her mother's face "How about we watch something on my phone again?"

"Okay" Eloise yawns and Jac pulls the blanket over their bodies, Fletch sits on the other side next to his daughter and holds his phone out, she smiles up at him and then smiles at her mother before Jac kisses her on the head

Frieda agreed to stay with Eloise the rest of the night so Jac and Fletch headed back to hers. He was cooking her some food whilst she had a bath, she was so tired with everything that happened that he wanted to treat her tonight to give her mind a rest as well as her body. When he turned to look at the counter he gulped at all the medication lined up on the side ready for her to take later, she agreed she would do it at night as it as always one mad rush in the mornings with work and everything else. Fletch looked at the list of instructions and smiled before picking up one of the injections and walking over to her, she breathes out and takes it from him, she reads the instructions before closing her eyes and pressing it to the skin on her lower abdomen.

"Do you want me to do it?" he asks after putting the plates away, she bites her lip and looks at him "I don't mind"

"Ok then" she passes it to him and she turns away and bites her lip before wincing as the needle shoots into her skin "Thank you"

"Hug?" he whispers and she nods before hugging him, he kisses her on the head as she wraps her arms around his body "It's scary isn't it?"

"Yeah" she confirms and watches him pull away so he could head to the sharps box and put the needle in there "What if it doesn't work the first time?"

"Then we'll try again, if you don't want to try again we don't have to…it's entirely up to you" he assures her, she nods tiredly and sits back down on the sofa, he sits with her and she immediately curls into his side "Do you want anything?"

"Could you maybe stay with me tonight?" she asks, he frowns "Not in that way but…just…oh it doesn't matter"

"No, no…I'm sorry" he runs a hand through his hair, she bites her lip "Yeah I'll stay if that's what you want"

"Thank you" she whispers and closes her eyes, she rests her head against his shoulder "The spare bedroom is all made up so…"

"Oh right"

"I'm going to head to bed" she smiles and yawns tiredly "I'll see you tomorrow morning"

"Night Jac" he smiles and she nods before heading upstairs, he rubs his hand against his forehead at the long day they had

He was asleep in her very comfortable spare bedroom until he woke from an annoying dream, one that e didn't even want to think about. Fletch sighed tiredly as his mind filled with thoughts about Eloise and about Jac, he just wanted them to be happy and for Eloise to be well so that she could have the life she deserved. With those thoughts in his head he got up and headed to the bathroom, he sighed as it was locked so it was obvious Jac was in there so he headed back into his bedroom to wait for her to finish. When he had thought she finished he got up and headed into the bathroom, after he finished he stepped out of the bathroom and jumped slightly at Jac waiting there.

"I thought you would have been asleep"

"Couldn't sleep" she shrugs, he looks at her and she looks at him "Shouldn't you be asleep?"

"I was but then I woke up"

"Oh" she nods and notices he was dressed in nothing but his boxers, she bites her lip "I should…"

"We could always watch a movie?" he didn't know why he suggested that "I don't think I'll be able to sleep so…"

"Yeah ok" she nods so he takes her hand and takes her into the bedroom, she bites her lip and turns the telly on "You can pick"

"Here" he just puts some rubbish film on, she chuckles knowing they weren't going to watch it, he allows her to shuffle into his body and for him to hold her "This feels…"

"Oddly right" she cuts in, he closes his eyes and runs his fingers through her hair "We can't do this in front of people, in front of Eloise…everyone will question, so will she"

"I'm going to be there every step of the way" he mumbles into the back of her head, she takes his arm and gestures for him to secure it around her so he was holding her "You're not going to do this on your own now Jac"

"Thank you" she whispers and closes her eyes, he closes his "Fletch? Can you promise me something?"

"Anything"

"Please never give up on us" she didn't know why she said that or why the tears sprung to her eyes "If I push you away, if I make you cry, if I hurt you in any way possible please never give up on me and Eloise, please"

"I am never going to give up on you two, ever" he whispers "You're family now, both of you and family never give up on each other"

"Mine gave up on me and I don't want that for her"

"No one is going to give up on you now, I am not going to give up on either of you because you two, you're part of my life now, you're so important to me just like my kids, both of you and nothing is going to stand in the way of that. Absolutely nothing"
