CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND FOUR

Website where all photos of all outfits mentioned is on my profile. 5 reviews gets next chapter early.

I stay right where I am for a while, thinking about Jax and his comment and trying to work out if I should go back to the Winston's or stay with him until my house is finished. Though, at the rate that it's going it will be done within a few weeks, with only painting and carpeting to do before it's ready to move into.

Eventually standing up and walking over to my car finding my phone sitting in the middle console flashing madly. Picking it up and checking I see I've been sitting on my front step for almost an hour and I've missed 2 phone calls from Donna, 1 from Gemma and 1 from Jax.

Choosing to ring my best friend first I hear the voices behind her before she has a chance to say anything, but when she does speak it's an order. "Come to the Clubhouse, dinners here and Opie's eating yours."

She erupts into laughter and while I try and let her know I'm going to Jax's to change clothes first there's a series of scuffles and the phone is picked up by the recipient of what would have been my next phone call.

"Where are you?" Jax asks, the voices in the background getting quieter after a thud.

"I was going to go change clothes but I can't get into your house." Glancing down at the ripped denim shorts and faded t-shirt I'm wearing, I don't really want to show up at the clubhouse dressed in them.

"Spare key is in the bottom of the pot plant by the back door. It's got an inner pot that lifts up. Keep the key till your place is ready to move into." Jax says as I hear a creak, the sound giving away that he's hiding in the kitchen.

"Can I have my phone back Jax?" Donna's voice drifts down the phone and after a rustling sound Donna speaks again.

"Don't be long. I've hidden some food for you in the kitchen." Another creak and Donna inhales deeply, "Don't be long, really don't be. Ima's here and making a hard play for Jax."

I giggle, "I'll be there in about 35 minutes, keep him away from tequila."

Jumping into the driver's seat I head straight to Jax's house, letting myself in I drop the bag of dirty clothes into the laundry on my way to his room.

Digging through what's sitting in the suitcase I pull out an outfit that I love, the mini skirt I picked being paired up with a corset and red knee high boots, I spent about 5 minutes in the bathroom brushing my hair into a ponytail and putting on some mascara, eyeliner and lip gloss.

Pulling the door closed I flick open my phone and make a quick call as I'm locking the door. "Hey D, I'm on the way back. Is there somewhere for me to park in the lot?"

Donna tells me to hang on and I'm in the car buckled in and waiting when she comes back to me. "Not yet, but there will be when you get here."

"K, I'm 10 minutes away." I say, flicking the phone closed and tossing it into my bag.

I'm not even out of the driveway before my phone is ringing again and picking it up I shake my head, "What'd ya forget?"

"Can you stop and get me some smokes?" Jax says the music louder than our last phone call.

"Sure, same ones as you used to get?"

The confirmation of his still favourite brand of smokes has me finishing another phone call and finally leaving Jax's house.

Pulling into the lot of Teller-Morrow 20 minutes later I grin at the fact I've been given the car park right beside Gemma's Caddy. I briefly wonder how many feathers got ruffled when that was decided.

Opening the door I hear a whistle from somewhere by the ring, but ignore it. Most of the hang arounds have been told to stay clear of me, those that haven't will learn. Locking the car behind me I leave everything in the vehicle, the 2 packs of smokes I picked up for Jax and my keys are the only things I'm carrying as my heels click across the lot.

I hear my name being called and look towards one of the massive grills outside the clubhouse, "Jackie boy is inside lass."

Nodding thanks at Chibs I turn towards the door instead of towards the group of Redwood Sons I'd seen standing by the row of bikes.

Pushing the door open the smells of smoke, beer, sweat, and the ever present smells of leather, oil and gas that emit themselves from the Sons greets me like a slap in the face and the embrace of home all at once.

Spotting Ope, Donna and Jax standing by the bar I pick my way past the groups of people standing, only barely managing to not react when one of the few clueless extras slaps me on the ass.

Shaking my head at him I step straight in between Opie and Jax and give Donna another hug.

Jax faintly groans as I lean over and I stifle the giggle that bubbles out. Turning to Miles who's hovering behind the bar I accept the glass that he's holding out and take a tentative sip, the vodka and lemonade fizzing on my tongue.

"Thanks Miles."

He just smiles and goes back to handing out bottles of beer.

Jax jumps off the bar stool he was perched on, "Sit."

I raise an eyebrow at him but sit down on the edge of the stool which makes him relax, till I cross my ankles and his entire body tenses again.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I snap as he shakes his head and sighs.

"Nothing at all." He growls.

"Here, have one of these, you seem a bit uptight." I say, thrusting the two packs of smokes I'm still holding at him.

He takes the two packs and stomps off towards the pool table, shoving a couple of guys out of the way as he goes, but the second they spot the kutte any protests they had die in their throats.

I know I look beyond confused when I turn back to Donna and Opie, but Opie just shakes his head towards Jax muttering under his breath.

Donna shrugs, "Jax obviously either hated the outfit, or really liked it."

Opie stops muttering. "I'm guessing he liked the outfit, but hated that everyone else liked it as well."

I look down at the mid-thigh length black material, the red plaid panels showing through the unzipped gaps, studs around the waist band and the chain pulling it together with the corset which is decorated with zips, chains and buckles.

"Oh well, it's a normal state of dress for me." I grin, moving my ankle and hearing the padlocks on my boots clink as they move.

Donna giggles and Opie rolls his eyes, a very odd look for the hairy biker.

"Jax is gonna have some problems with that, you know that aye S?" Donna says as I finish my drink and set the glass back on the bar.

I nod, "I don't belong to him, or anyone else. How I dress is my choice."

Donna grins, "Sure it is. Come have something to eat, it's in the kitchen."

I'm tugged off the stool and towards the kitchen while Opie heads over to Jax, calling out something about a pool challenge from earlier.
