Chapter 22: New Plans

As Clementine entered the meeting room where the rest of the main Invisibles were based, noting Clem enter Tripp stood up.

"Good, we're all here now, we can begin." He remarked. "Things have changed lately, things which may directly affect what we're planning to do for the future."

The others shared a worried glance as Clem sat down next to Sarah and AJ, with Carlos on Sarah's other side, Rebecca on AJ's. Standing up from Tripp's right, Eleanor spoke up.

"So, we now understand that these Holocrons that were recovered are more important than we thought." She looked over at Clem and explained. "Sarah and AJ told us of the conclusions you came to. If what we're dealing with here really is an ancient weapon, then things are far more serious."

"Indeed, if nothing else we'll need to make sure we get the remaining two Jedi Holocrons and protect them at all costs." Conrad added.

Clementine nodded. "If the legend is to be believed, to activate the weapon or even find it, the Empire will need all four Jedi Holocrons and all four Sith Holocrons. Chances are they already have the Sith Holocrons."

"How can you be so sure about that?" Francine asked, concerned.

"It's not something that's public knowledge, but any surviving Jedi knows it." Clementine explained. "The Emperor, is a Sith Lord."

"I always knew something wasn't right with Palpatine." Tripp muttered.

Everyone shared worried looks at that, realizing now just how serious things were.

Finally however, the silence was broken by Javier.

"So, they've got their own Holocrons, we've got two of the Jedi ones. That means there's still two out there, we have to get them right?" He summarised.

There was a slight pause before Gabe then spoke up too.

"If they need all of them to find this weapon, or even use it, but already have the Sith Holocrons...If we find the other two Jedi Holocrons, then they can't put the weapon to use right?" He wondered. "I mean, so long as we keep them safe and hidden out the way…"

Eli scoffed. "What, and just let them-"

"Gabe is right." Clementine cut in. "We wouldn't stand a chance going after the Sith Holocrons, but so long as we have the Jedi Holocrons, we'll be able to stop them from using the weapons."

"Especially with how things have changed with Vader's Fist." Max suddenly cut in. "We just intercepted a transmission and well...I'm afraid they've got a new leader. Tarkin."
An air of fear filled the room, freezing almost everyone.

"Tarkin?" Louis queried.

Clementine nodded. "Wilhuff Tarkin, he is...not a man to cross. We don't have time to go into detail of every terrible thing he's done. But let's just say if he'd been in charge...our mission to Ientor would've ended in all our deaths."

"Like Clementine says, that's not even half of it." Tripp said. "Luckily Vader's Fist is still recovering from the defeat we handed them at Ientor. So we must take advantage of this window of opportunity."

It was clear now they had a new mission on hand.

Before the briefing could even begin, Carlos turned to Sarah.

"This time Sarah, no sneaking on board." He told his daughter firmly. "We can't take risks now."

Sarah bit her lip. "But, dad…"

"No Sarah." Clem interjected. "You're dad's right. Stay here with AJ...you guys need to keep working on the lessons I gave you. When I get back, we'll see how you've progressed…"

Even as she said that she glanced towards the door where Shel stood, listening in. Shel nodded and Clem turned her focus back to the meeting.

All the while thinking. 'Also, if Shel is able to find what I'm looking for, we'll be doing more than that.'

Tripp nodded and began. "Alright, we gained a good victory and bought ourselves some breathing room. We've sent word to other rebel cells and they're hoping to help us out, maybe even allying with us. We've all got a good collection of supplies to sustain us, but we're going to need more to be safe. As such we're managed to track down an Imperial supply ship."

Gabe suddenly spoke up. "But, hold on, Imperial supply ships are always heavily guarded."

"That's normally true yes." Max added. "But everything we've picked up indicates that this ship is on its own...and not following an established trade route."

"Which is why we're taking advantage of this moment." Tripp continued. "We'll attack the ship and take control of the cargo. We're trying to avoid unnecessary casualties so, if any surrender, secure them but keep them alive."

"So, who is this boarding party?" Eli asked.

Conrad then revealed. "That would be the crew of the Eclipse."

"So...now do we understand, Paul will take his ship and use it to disable the supply ship, the Eclipse will board the ship and get the supplies. So, let's get going." Tripp ordered.

They all stood up, ready to begin, with Rebecca staying to watch over Sarah and AJ, while the crew of the Eclipse prepared themselves as did Paul and his crew. The rest of the Invisibles worked to prepare for the hopeful arrival of new allies.

Meanwhile Shel and Becca approached their own ship.

"What exactly are we doing now Shel?" Becca asked.

Shel smiled. "We've got a new task, Clementine wants to find some...materials for her. If we pull this off, we should get enough to finally work off our debt."

Becca's eyes widened at that, hopeful. "You mean, we'd finally be free?"

"Exactly. Of course, we're gonna need help." Shel replied. "So...we're gonna need to meet up with the old crew again."

Becca smiled. "I'd like that, not seen them in a long time."

Shel nodded in agreement and so they boarded their ship, as did the others, and soon each ship took off for their respective missions.
