Alright, we are into Act 2, I'm excited about doing this one and seeing what everyone thinks.

Act II (Part 1)

The nightmares just have been getting worse for him. The more he tries to sleep, the more they grow in showing the pain. He honestly wishes they would just stop.

Goblin laughs as he heads to Midtown High and throws pumpkin bombs blowing up some parts of the school. Every student scream and runs for their lives.

Peter dressed as Spider-Man keeps running and running, but the more he tries to go closer to the school, the further away it is. "Nooo!" He shouts, fearing for everyone's lives.

Goblin laughs again and delivers a few more bombs destroying the entire school and dead bodies of Ned, MJ, Flash, and his Academic Decathlon team are spread across the debris.

Peter lays down and takes off his mask and starts to cry, he couldn't save them… couldn't save them…

"I couldn't save them…."

"Why couldn't I save them…"

He repeats those two sentences at least two more times and then cries heavily as the tears pour out and he hits the ground in anger. Goblin jumps off his glider and lands beside him, he puts his hand on the hero's shoulder.

Goblin says, "Peter, Peter, Peter… no good deed goes unpunished… you can thank me later…"

Peter awakens violently and starts to look around. No one is in his apartment, he sighed in relief. He also started to wonder why his nightmares started to make events all on their own while also using real life things that had been said to him. It was getting weird after all, seeing his old school burn down like that by an enemy from another universe.

He goes up to the window where he usually jumps off to patrol as Spider-Man and stares off into the city. Despite it being so clunky and small in his apartment, being Spider-Man got him to see great views in the city. He smirked a bit about or rather maybe going to the Empire State Building cause after all it is a sweet view.

He looked at the time: 5:00 P.M. Dang, he slept for so long, even practically skipped breakfast and lunch.

"I guess I could go for a walk," he said to himself, picking up a small jacket and then proceeded to exit his apartment building. Despite it being 5:00, it was a bit noisy with traffic outside.

He continued to walk down, looked around to make sure Kraven wasn't following him, and then proceeded to just continue. Hopefully, he wasn't being too conspicuous to any new enemy that might pop out of nowhere and try to kill him.

His thoughts started to dwell off again. He really wished he didn't have so many thoughts pounding his brain. Here he was, Peter Parker, a nobody that doesn't need to exist in this world. Well, he is somebody, but the world didn't need to know that. Damn Beck and his video. Just damn it all on him. The thought of himself being in the Raft scared him and wondered what would have happened if his friends came to the Raft with him because of his vigilantism. Or maybe because of Europe, Mysterio, and E.D.I.T.H.

He tried not to go down such a rabbit hole in his mind. As a matter of fact, he didn't even want to think about a prison that holds superhumans. While the walk was supposed to help him relax, he couldn't help but dwell off in his own extreme paranoia and guilt complex. Perhaps his mind couldn't allow it. He didn't know. And sometimes that is the worst feeling in the world. It has been taking a toll on his body, he had to admit to himself through his thoughts. His lack of sleep, nightmares, and guilt complex have made him rather indecisive of certain matters… like college and meeting new people.

Sometimes… maybe it is best not to know what you want in life, he thought to himself. If he were to make a choice, letting people back into his life, then it was a decision he needed to make on his own. It is his responsibility.

He sighed as he continued to walk down and then out-of-nowhere his phone started to ring. Unknown number, it said.

Weird, Peter thought. At first, he didn't want to answer as it's most likely a scammer or telemarketer. But something in his gut told him, he has to answer it otherwise, he'll probably keep getting this number called and it'll start to annoy him.

"Hello," he answered the call.

"Rooftop now, Parker," a familiar voice said in the call that caused Peter's eyes to widen. He took in deep breaths and looked up high. On a nearby rooftop, Nick Fury was staring down at him and gesturing him to come up.

A lot of questions pondered into his mind. The spell was supposed to make everyone forget Peter Parker is Spider-Man and that would be the only reason Fury just called him. Now, he really wanted to settle this since Fury was the one that had him and Beck meet in the first place and hijacked his summer vacation.

He checked around to see anyone looking and wall-crawled to the rooftop, as he made his way to the rooftop, there stood in a few inches away from him, Nick Fury.

"So, nice to finally meet you, Spider-Man," Nick Fury outright said which caused Peter to be confused. Haven't they met before? Like back at Venice.

"Wait, hold on, we me—"

Fury cut him off, "Wasn't me, it was an ally of mine that can shapeshift. I've been off-world, so I've never officially met you."

That surprised Peter so much and also clarified many things to him. It explained why that federal agent guy said Fury was off-world and why he knows he's Spider-Man, the Fury he met wasn't even him just a shapeshifter…Great another thing to look out for in his crazy life.

"That explains a lot of things." Peter commented.

"I know a lot has happened ever since Beck did that whole identity thing, what I can't understand how you managed to convince the world you're not Spider-Man?" Fury started off.

Peter was about to say something, but Fury went on a tangent, "I arrive here because my ally, the shapeshifter was worried about you after that happened. Only then do I discover no one knows who you really are. But not only that you have a Russian problem."

"Ok, I see that you need clarification on how everybody doesn't know I'm Spider-Man, but listen my life isn't in a good moment right now, and plus I got Happy working with me on this." Peter explained albeit he knew Fury wasn't take that explanation.

"Listen, I don't care how you resolved your identity problem, it's resolved. However, about your Russian hunter. You're gonna have to stay away from him." Fury demanded.

"What?" Peter asked looking baffled at such a suggestion. "Why?" He asked in frantic tone.

"He's more dangerous than you can possibly imagine. And most likely he's after you… And me…" Fury said bluntly.

Peter was now confused and asked "What is going?! What are you not telling me?! Why is he after you?!"

"Listen, kid. It's best if you stay away from this and let the Feds handle this—"

Peter cut him off and angrily had enough, "I'm sorry, but my entire life got ruined because your ally trusted Beck and I trusted him with E.D.I.T.H.! And then the Feds believed his video and arrested me, my friends, and my family! And then suddenly when someone tries to kill me, you tell me to back off! And why would this guy kill you!"

"Because he was hired by members of Quentin Beck's crew. That crew managed to somehow build an entire criminal empire after his death and have been successful so far. SHIELD has been somewhat keeping an eye on them, but every time we do, they manage to take out our best agents on the job. Most of it due to the man you've been fighting. He calls himself, Kraven the Hunter. He's been hired to kill you and in time he'll kill me. In doing so, it is best that the Feds handle this guy. And speaking of Happy Hogan, who do you think Pepper has been trying to contact all this time?" Fury explained.

Peter sighed and blinked, "She was trying to contact you about Riva?"

Fury nodded and then further explained, "The information on him has been sketchy at best. We believe much like Beck, his crew are former Stark Industries employees. Unfortunately for them the man they hired is way too dangerous even for themselves."

"Who is he exactly?" Peter asked, getting even more curious.

"Kraven is not someone you want to learn about, kid. Believe me, it's best if you stay out of it." Fury said sternly.

As he slowly started to walk away, Peter yelled, "So, you're just gonna let him kill other people while we do nothing!"

Fury shook his head, "I thought I said—"

Peter yelled back, interrupting him, "I know what you said! But you're not going anywhere until you tell everything you know about him!" He blew off some steam and then tried to relax.

Fury shook his head again, "You know if Kraven wanted to, you would've been dead. The fact that you are alive gives the Feds more time to capture him and put him away for good. And let's forget that Beck's crew hired him to kill us because of what happened in Europe. And the aftermath of that incident nearly costed your life almost in a supermax prison!"

Peter paused at what he said and his eyes darted down, feeling he couldn't win this argument. Fury continued, "They want to cover up what they all did for Beck. They hired Kraven to do that. And what's worse maybe your friends will be next. Who else Kraven might target closest to you? Or people closest to me? Parker, I understand you want to save everybody, but you can't. At least not in this situation."

"Well, if you knew about him before, why didn't you have an Avenger take him if he's this dangerous?" Peter asked.

"Kraven is even more of a ghost compared to the Winter Soldier to the intelligence community. Why do you think I don't want you after him? Listen, despite you fighting during the Battle of Earth, you're just kid. You're a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Kraven should not be your deal." Fury explained.

"But we can work together-"

"What did I just say?! You know you're very stubborn to get through. Back off of Kraven because if you don't, someone worse will come for you and you will have to deal with those consequences. Maybe the Accords will come back to get to you if you don't sign and comply. You see Parker there's a power grab here, even in this city and you're not getting the big picture." Fury said frustrated with this kid.

Fury walked away and headed to who-knows-what, but to Peter… well he was having other ideas. A few minutes passed, Peter wall-crawled down to the alleyway and went on his way.

Fury looked at him going away and smirked a bit, "I never would have guessed Richard and Mary Parker's son would be Spider-Man."

An agent spoke on Fury's ear piece, "Should we follow him, sir?"

Fury shook his head, "Negative, knowing Peter Parker, he'll do the opposite of what I tell him."

I feel this chapter is good to end it here albeit it is somewhat short and yes this interaction with the REAL Nick Fury and Peter was also based on the Ultimate Spider-Man even the last line was from the Ultimate Spider-Man video game. And yes I know I did post two chapters in one day, you are welcome.
