Chapter 60: Into The Future
Standing on the bridge of the newly christened Eclipse II, Clementine smiled softly. The Eclipse had been damaged at the battle and had to be scrapped although several parts were salvageable and used to help make the current newer, larger ship. Standing by her side, Violet slipped her hand into Clem's and they both smiled warmly at each other, their love radiating from them as the ship hovered in orbit above Lusnes. They watched as the Invisibles all took off into hyperspace, heading to join up with the other rebel cells. In the other direction, the smugglers took off in their own ships, returning their usual jobs and routines. Meanwhile on board the Eclipse II, Clem and Violet had assembled a reliable crew of those closest to them. Javi and Kate piloting, Gabe and Mariana working as navigators along with Sarah and AJ, who joined them at the bridge, they had the surviving Ericsons crew, Louis, Ruby, Aasim, Omar, Willy and Tenn, all ready to follow them. For they had opted for a different path, a third option, deciding to recover from the toll this drastic series of battles had put on them and instead to seek out the mysteries of the galaxy as explorers.
"Alright, everyone ready?" Clem asked, they nodded. "Then let's go."
With that they jumped to light speed and began to seek their own path forwards, heading for their future with hope, across the stars.
