Everything was black, she was walking down a hallway, her head was burning, she heard weird sounds in the dark, she knew something was hiding.
"H-Hello?" the blue-haired girl said reluctantly.
No answer, only a cold breeze passing, she felt her spine tingle, she was being watched, she started to panic, she decided to go the other way as fast as she could, something big was coming, and she had no weapons, she heard a terrifying howl from afar, with that she knew the hunt was on, she was running more than she could, she saw a light, she thought that could be a way out of this, coming closer the light moved, something was wrong, the more she got near, the light would move away.
"You are a Jinx!." She heard a voice, her sister's voice.
"Mylo was right!." She continued.
'No, I only wanted to help, I only wanted to help!' Jinx tried to reason with her insanity.
She was still following the light, she stumbled over and almost fell, the monster was getting closer and closer, it would be her end if she got in his reach.
"She Jinxes everything, every job." this time was Mylo, she saw him in the hallway, but he disappeared.
'I'm sorry!...' tears were streaming down her face.
Still running, after turning a corner, she saw another light, this time was Claggor, he was on the ceiling, blind, but looking directly at her, on her soul... She knew he was disappointed in her.
'I'M SORRY!' she screamed in her head trying to fight back the tears, but she could not, she was getting her vision blurred with all the tension and crying, then she saw a different light, a big one, it was warm to her skin.
'My last hope' she thought, she was exhausted, she could not continue this for much longer, she was slowing down, reaching the light for the light, it took the form of a man, she knew who that was.
"Vander!" she cried his name, the man looked at her, he had a kind smile on his face, she launched herself in his arms, he embraced her with love.
"Wow what's the hurry baby girl?!" he said with a worry in his voice.
"Something is chasing me, a monster!" she tried to explain, but only silence reigned at that moment.
"A monster?, I think you and Vi should stop with those horror stories" he went to the corner to see if there're any monsters nearby.
"There is nothing here." He said, Jinx let out a sigh calming herself down, she then went back to his arms again, she would not dare to leave again, she was safe and protected.
"Only your past is here." He said in a whisper in her ear, she looked immediately to his face to see that he was dead, her heart sank, she started crying again, slowly getting out of his arms, he was transforming into something.
"YoU KilLeD uS aLL" He was talking with a bestial voice, his body getting bigger and mutating to something that was not human, she took steps back, but she hit something, she looked back and saw Silco was staring at her.
"I would never give you to them, not for anything… But you killed me, you betrayed me too." He said with the most painful voice she could hear, she could not stand anymore, her knees were on the ground, she just wanted all to end, she was crying out for forgiveness. The giant claws took her from the ground, now she was facing the monster.
"YOu wERe THEre, YOu DeSERve EVeRyTHiNG!" The monster put her head slowly on his mouth, he was much stronger than her.
"NOOO-" She cried out but her scream was suddenly stopped by the mouth crushing her head.

"NO!" She cried out in desperation, she woke up having a deep crisis, she was near a lake, she immediately threw herself out on the water to try to drown herself, the pain was too much to bear, she stayed in there for minutes, like Silco once said to her, there's peace in the water, holding you slowly with care, whispering to let her in and every problem in the world would fade away, it was everything that she wanted… Then she was rudely pushed back to the surface.
"No, you don't!" Said her savior, Sevika had her both arms again, she was behind Jinx locking her arms, she could not fight back, she gasped for air.
"Breath, Breath in." the taller woman said, dragging her to the shore.
"No please, let me-" she said but was interrupted, by a whisper.
"Quiet, just breathe in and out" Sevika dragged her to the shore and sat with Jinx in her arms, she tried to argue again but the older woman would just say to her to be quiet, they stayed in that position for a time when the darker woman saw that the blue-haired girl would not fight anymore, she embraced her with care, Jinx was taken aback by her action, she would not remember seeing this side of her, she was always rough, like an orc, but it seems that she was hiding a soft side.
"Better?" She asked, for some reason, Jinx was feeling a lot better now, she nodded.
Slowly Sevika let her go, now both of them got on their feet, something was strange in the air, they stood in silence for a minute, then the taller girl asked.
"Had a bad dream?" She sounded with concerns in her voice.
"One of the worst" she answered crestfallen, remembering the terror.
"I'm sorry, I was hunting nearby and saw you falling into the la-" She was interrupted.
"Why are you saying sorry? You have all the rights to drown me on that lake, but you saved me, why?" She wanted answers, her demeanor was strange, something was wrong.
"Look, you went out cold for hours, I had a lot of time to think, everything went to shit, our lives have changed, and killing you would not solve anything, so I'm caring for you." She tried to explain, but something in her voice made her falter… Is it fear?.
"What happened while I was asleep?" This ogre cared for her? Sevika took a deep breath.
"We are in the outskirts of Zaun, the city is under siege, defenders everywhere, they are looking for Silcos crew, we have bounties on our heads, they are killing innocent people, civil war is raging and the topsiders are winning." She said, with a darker voice... Something was calling in Jinx's head.
'She wants to use you' said one voice, it was Claggor.
'She is afraid for her life, not for you' Said Mylo.
'You should not trust anyone for your safety' Vander was trying to reason on her head.
'She will betray you as she did with Vander' Said Silco with venom.
"EVERYONE SHUT UP, I need to think." Jinx said, scaring Sevika.
"Jinx" the taller woman called her attention, slowly approaching her, the blue-haired girl felt threatened by her approach, she pushed Sevika's arms out of the way and started to run.
"JINX! STOP!" The darker woman was now running behind her back trying to reach her, but she was way faster and more agile, she was running to any direction without knowing where she was going, she just wanted to leave everything behind, she was lost in a dense forest, no sight of people or buildings… She lost the woman behind, but she was having that feeling again, something was watching her, something was coming, her fear was consuming her now, she stumbled and went to the ground, she looked for something to hide, and she found an old dead tree that had an empty space in the middle, she went there as fast as she could, entering the small space, she felt secure, or at least she thought, she heard heavy steps coming closer, something huge, her heart was racing, if she breathed a little denser, it would be her end, she felt that the thing stopped in front of the old tree.
'He found me…' She thought almost crying, but something made the monster stop in his tracks, he sniffed something, and as fast as he came, he went away, someone was coming.
'It's Sevika!' she thought leaving her shelter, but her eyes were met with an enforcer, both stood there for a second looking at each other.
"Oh well, what we have here, a blue-haired girl, just like the bounty girl named 'Jinx', my lucky day!" he rushed and got her by the hair, throwing her to the ground, she felt a lot of pain.
"Hmm you don't look so bad, how about we have some fun before I deliver you to the chief." He said with a lustful intention, she shouted for help but was quickly repressed by the officer.
"Shut up, if you collaborate this will end soon." He said sadistically, he was ripping her clothes off, she was half up naked trying to fight back, but the man was too heavy.
Her mind was crying for help, She could not believe how bad is her luck, she just wanted to leave this world, she had enough, why so many bad things happened to her? she hated this world with all her core, all that she wanted was everything to burn…
She heard someone drawing a weapon, and as fast this defender was ripping her clothes off, he was dead, his head rolled to the side, Sevika was standing with a furious face near Jinx, she grabbed the smaller girl from the ground.
"Don't you leave me like that ever again!" She said pissed off, Jinx was not scared, she embraced the older woman with all her might and started to cry, Sevika was taken aback by her reaction and calmed down, she returned the embrace.
"shh I'm here, breathe in and breathe out slowly." The taller woman whispered in her ears trying to calm her down, they stayed like that for a minute, when the smaller girl got more calmed, Sevika took the clothes that were ripped off from the ground and lead Jinx to where they had come.
"We need to leave before more defenders show up" She stated, the blue-haired girl just nodded with low self-esteem, Sevika knew that Jinx was a pretty strong fighter, and she could take care of herself, but after all these tragic events, her head was not the same, she was broken, she was probably feeling like trash, she will need some time to rest and rebuild what is left of her, but they could not do it here.

After a time of walking, both girls were back at the lake, it was secluded by heavy woods and the terrain was rough to pass, defenders would not care to come this way, they are too fancy to get dirty in the mud, and they pretty much were scared by the wild animals, but something was off, why that Piltie trash was here in the woods? He was searching for something or us? Those questions were drumming in Sevika's head. While they were walking to the lake, the dark girl got some resources to repair Jinx's clothes and to make a small shelter. She saw the blue-haired girl trying to hide her parts, she had blood in her body from that pig, so she approached the girl giving her one plant.
"Here take this, go to the lake and use it to wash your body off, this plant serum can make some good bubbles and smells good." The girl was surprised but quickly took the plant, but she stood there doing nothing.
"Something is wrong?" asked the taller woman, she saw the girl turn a slight red shade.
"Ar- are going to watch me bathe?" Sekiva laughed at that question, the world was burning, everyone wanted them dead, but she was worried by her being looked at while taking a bath.
"Girl, I raised you with Silco, I know well how you look, you don't need to be ashamed" With that Jinx felt embarrassed, she went to the lake mumbling something like 'Such ogre', 'No manners'.
After a while Sevika was finished setting up the small camp, she took a look at the lake to see if everything was okay, she saw Jinx washing her hair, her hair was so long that almost touched the shore, the rare hair color that she had seemed like a really rare flower was flourishing, it was beautiful.
The taller woman took the opportunity and took her clothes off, she only found one of that bubble plant, it was extremely rare, so she was going to have to share it. Entering the water, it was cold but refreshing, the smaller girl had not noticed yet, she took the opportunity and dived quietly in the water.

Jinx was minding her own business, trying her best to wash her hair off, it would take a long time, but she liked it, she was thinking about everything that happened, Mylo, Claggor, Vander, how everything changed that night, if she didn't exist, they would be alive.
"You are right." Said a voice in the back of her head, Claggor.
"It's all your fault, you Jinx everything" Mylo was close.
"I should have just taken your sister and left you." Vander said behind her, Jinx felt great pain in her heart, she was fighting the tears. Something grabbed her leg, her heart stopped for a moment, it was Silco trying to drown her in the lake.
"Hey, I'm sorry!" someone was calling her, she opened her eyes to see that Sevika was behind, trying to make her come back to earth, the taller girl embraced her back.
"Sorry, I just wanted to scare you as a joke." she said, Jinx was now coming back to her senses.
"Wh- What are you doing? trying to assault me?" she said pissed and embarrassed.
"NO!, we only have one plant, and we need to share" Sevika tried to explain, but Jinx was calling her names like 'Pervert ogre!' 'Idiot!' 'Dumb' and other things.

After a while, Jinx calmed down and Sevika was helping her wash the hair, her chem tech arm was sliding through the threads, the texture was good and smooth, which made her remember some things from the past.
"Do you remember this place?" Asked the taller woman, the girl thought for a moment, but she could not remember anything about it, she shook her head.
"This is the place that i taught you how to swim" the blue-haired girl was puzzled by that.
"You were so close to me when you were a child" the dark-haired girl stated.
"Really? I don't remember that." she said with a surprise.
"What happened to us?" Jinx asked with curiosity, she just remembered the older woman being grumpy, drinking and smoking and brawling most of the time.
"Well in the first year that Silco took you to the gang, I was not happy that you were there, I had to take care of the business, and being your guardian, it was difficult, Silco would not have easy things for me." She said while her mechanical arm was cleaning, doing delicate movements that were not easy. The blue girl was silent hearing that.
"But even being small, you tried your best, you helped me with easy tasks and being on the lookout, and after a while working together you were growing on me." Sevika was lost her memories.
"You were growing so fast, after three years, you were doing more difficult tasks and proving yourself to the gang, I was proud of you." With that statement, Jinx's heart bounced and went warm.
"But some idiot said to you that I lost my arm because of your monkey bomb." Jinx's heart sank, she remembered now, she was suppressing those memories because it hunted her.
"That was really cruel to tell you, after that you became distant from me, you started to avoid me at all costs, at the start I didn't know what happened, then I confronted you…" Sevika said getting emotional, Jinx was crying already.
"We got in a big fight, I tried everything to make you talk to me, tried to hug you but you just went as far away as you could from me, you said you hated me that I was holding you back, that I was envious of you because you were better…" Jinx felt like she was stabbed in the heart, on that day, she went straight to her room and cried for six hours till she slept of exhaustion, she said those things because she thought that she was not worthy to be Savika's friend, she was afraid that she would Jinx her, so she wanted her far away from her as possible.
"And I knew everything you said that day was a lie, but I could not reach you anymore, our relationship was broken, we could be in the same room, but we would be so far away… This still hurts like hell, you were the only person that I got attached to and I could do nothing about us." Jinx turned to face Sevika, she didn't care if they are naked, she embraced the taller woman and her head went to her chest, crying letting all that pain go away after so many years, Sevika embraced her with the same affliction, both of them cried letting out all the suffering. They stood there for a time.
Sevika was leading Jinx to the shore slowly walking backward, now they were on good terms, the heartache of both of them was healing slowly, the taller girl made a movement with the hand to tell her to sit on the grass, and she did, the dark-haired woman them started to braid Jinx's hair, this moment had a taste of 'good old times for them.
"I can not believe I finally reached you…" Sevika was still emotional, Jinx felt her heart-warming up, she was happy for the first time in years, she had no words to describe the feeling.
After braiding her hair, both of them got dressed, the taller woman tried her best to fix the clothes of the blue girl, it was not perfect, but it would do the job, after that Sevika got some firewood, and started a small fire to not attract attention, just to warm them up, it was starting to get dark.

While they were sharing stories by the fire, they would be drinking some alcohol from Sevika's flask, which she always had with her for 'emergency', they are having good laughs.
Some meat from the early hunt of Savika was being grilled in the fire, both of them were exhausted, but they were having a good time together.
"Silco, the criminal boss from the undercity, would carry a draw that you made of him to everywhere! I got him staring at it so proud that when he saw me staring he went like 'You have seen nothing' or 'You better not tell anyone' type of threat." Both girls were laughing, they had a rough time living in Zaun, but they had good times too.
"I miss him." Said Jinx sad, her friend nodded.
"Silco had a lot of flaws and did bad things, but he had his principles. Everyone he took under his wing, people that had nothing, nowhere to go, nowhere to live, was treated with respect and care. He was a great leader for his followers and a terrible threat to his enemies. For Silco." Sevika said, raising the flask and taking a sip, she passed it to Jinx, she took a sip too but said nothing.
"I- I killed him." She said now even sadder.
"You had no choice, you were protecting your family, even if your sister replaced you with that enforcer bitch, you did what it needed to be done… I respect you for that. Silco knew that was coming for him, that day when Vander and the boys died, Silco thought that killing his Brother would end his pain of the betrayal and move along, but he was wrong, it got worse for him, he regretted it, in the first months he would just mourn alone, I got him sometimes talking to himself, he missed Vander a lot, out of respect for his brother, he created Vander statue and made that sanctuary."
"That statue was not made by the community of Zaun?" Jinx asked puzzled.
"Those people would not have a penny to build something that big, but Silco made everyone thinks that was the community that has made it, one day I was looking through his economic records, and that statue was there with the people he bribed to put Vander there." Sevika was melancholic, she heard Jinx laughing softly now.
"You know what's funny? That night if I had not shown up, everyone would be okay, Vander, Mylo, Claggor, and Vi would have escaped from Silco, people would have not died, you would still have your arm, I Jinxed everyone." Jinx said laughing hard now, but Sevika knew she was desperate, her soul was broken. She got up and went to sit near the girl, she hugged her.
"Stop torturing yourself, even if they had escaped that night, Silco would have not stopped, things would be inevitable…" the girl started to sob hard on her embrace. After a while the small girl was calmer after letting it all out, the taller woman got the meat from the fire and made her eat a lot.
"Good, good, you need to start to eat more, more meat, more strength." Sevika said, showing with pride her arm.
"Well, to be like you, I will need to eat at least three cows every day for a long time." Both of them laughed together.
"How did you get your new chem tech arm while I was out?" the girl with Pink eyes asked.
"Well, when I abducted you, I run as fast as possible I could out of town, I knew the topsiders would come fast, when I reached the lake and had to take a gamble, leave you alone here and go to the bald scientist that worked for Silco to get a new arm, or stayed with you and never have my arm back, I'm glad I made the right decision, I would useless without an arm... It was not far away from here too." she answered knowing well that Jinx had more questions.
"My weapons stayed there on the last drop?" Jinx was curious, she feels naked without her weapons.
"No, I got it back with you, but I hid it in the woods. Why do you need to carry so many heavy weapons? Is not comfortable even for me." Sevika said remembering how it was hard to carry the weapons and the girl.
"Well, they are my cuties, without them I'm nothing, where do you hide them?" She wanted her babies back.
"Hmm, how can I trust you that the moment you got them you will not kill yourself?" Said the older woman stating the obvious.
"You made your point today, I thought I was alone in this dark world, but you proved me wrong, there's something worth it, I trust in you now." Jinx said the truth, Sevika had her heart warm with that.
"Okay then, tomorrow we get your guns back, but you better keep your word." The dark-haired woman said, the blue one just nodded, she passed the flask to her for a sip and took it back.
"Why have your eyes turned pink Jinx?" Sevika asked her.
"I-I almost died fighting in the bridge, if was not for Silco I would be dead, he took me to the old bald man, he sedated Silco and tortured me with his variant of shimmer, he made me an experiment." Jinx was scared of remembering those memories.
"Damn, I didn't know about that, if I knew I would have killed him." Sevika stated angrily. This time was Jinx that came closer, slowly to not fall, she embraced the older woman from behind.
"I know silly, thanks for staying for me." she said while taking the flask and taking another sip, she sat near the ogre.
"Hey do you remember Chuck, the barman?, he was flirting with me for a time but I would never give him a chance." Said Jinx remembering the past.
"I remember him, he was cute but, even if you had given him a chance, Silco would have him killed for touching his baby daughter, seriously, for him you would die as a maiden" they both laughed together.
"So Sevika, you will not torture me or make my life hell as you promised?" Jinx asked with interest, the woman was surprised by that.
"Well… What I said is that I would make you live more than any-" the dark-haired girl was interrupted.
"And 'so you can suffer for the rest of your damned life' is hard to forget." Jinx said groggy, imitating the older woman and throwing her hands to the air, that flask had a strong liquor.
"Jinx… I was really pissed that time, people say bad things that they don't really mean it when they are angry" The woman explained getting the bite of the meat that she had prepared.
"Hmm okay then, so, how is our relationship going to work from now on? You're going to be my mom or… My mommy?" Jinx said with a mischievous face.
Sevika had a second to register what the blue-haired girl had just said, she started to cough hard because the meat went down her throat fast.
"What the hell girl, from where you got that? I'm almost the double of your age ar-"
"Jeez, I'm joking, okay, you don't need to get all defensive… You know what? fuck it, this could be our last days alive, the world out there went to shit and I don't want to end up dead being a Virgin." Jinx said some facts but she was intoxicated.
"I think you had enough of the juice, you are drunk, we are not going to die, I will not allow it." said the older woman seriously.
"Sheesh, I'm going to sleep, you are too dense to talk with." Said the girl disappointed, she stood up and almost fell, she walked slowly and got a hold of the small tent entering it.
"I'm going to stand guard for a while, make sure things are alright" Sevika stated.
"Sure sure, general, make me secure." said Jinx mocking her friend, the woman smiled, it has been a while since the girl was so carefree.
After a while, Sevika have checked everything in the camp, she had made some small traps to make noise if someone or something entered the area, she was exhausted, just wanted to sleep, she went back to the tent, she saw the smaller girl having nightmares, she laid beside her and slowly embraced the girl, Jinx was startled but was fast calmed down knowing it was her friend, she turned to face the taller woman, she returned the embrace, she would fit perfectly on Sevika's chest, with that, both of them drifted to sleep.
