(A/n: So it turns out this chapter was way longer than I thought it would be. I planned out all of chapter 3 at once, but it was enough content to be split into 3 DIFFERENT CHAPTERS! Next time Chapter 3 Part 3, which I assume will be the final part of chapter three, will come out.
I released the first 4 chapters on AO3 and we are at 122 views and 6 kudos, so thanks for that! Also thank you for 2k combined views on all 3 platforms, you guys are amazing!
Also, I made a slip-up last chapter where I said teens but I meant to say tweens, it's fixed on wattpad and on AO3, but it still says teens on fanfiction so if you are reading on there, please be aware of that.
Like I said before, Chapter 3 is a big chapter when it comes to plot development so, plot development things will happen, that's the only hint your getting.
Anyways, thank you all for reading this, I hope you enjoy and have a great day! :)
Even though he rarely showed it, Nezu has recently been getting extremely annoyed at many things.
For one, the whole government system in the first place, the people blindly follow the candidates of the prophecy, and certain people, like the current prime minister, are paying off the candidates to support them, so he got 70% of the vote even though his ways have only hurt Japan's development as a country.
Secondly, there has been a recent uprising in criminal activity due to the massive import of the trigger drug 2 days ago, which is taking so much effort, that they are calling in the teachers at UA, who typically take time off hero work during the school year, to help stop some of the villains.
But the thing that annoys him the most, is the prime minister forcing him to start an early heroics program for the candidates since they were all coincidentally born in the same year. He managed to at least get a meeting to talk about the specifics of it, but he knows there is no way out of it. It's just that Nezu isn't one to believe in giving someone advantages just because of the way they were born, especially since he was born a mouse.
"So I understand you have some concerns about our request, Mr. Nezu," the prime minister's representative started.
"Indeed. I would like to know why in this generation, of all the generations we've had candidates, we need to implement this program," Nezu responded.
"The Prime Minister said that it's a combination of the fact that all of the candidates were born in the same year, the current increase in crime, and the signs hinting at the return of organized crime," the representative stated.
"I understand. Well I know there is really no way out of this, so can I just make one request?" Nezu asked in an overly-polite voice to mask his anger at the response he got.
"What would that be?"
"We get seven members, the five candidates, and two we recruit on our own." Nezu responded.
After that request, the representative stepped out to call the prime minister about it. After some convincing, he obliged with the request. That was UA's first step in breaking out of the control the government has put them in.
And it definitely won't be the last.
"We'll teach you kids not to step into adult matters," The man who suddenly turned a wooden brown said with a snarky tone.
During training, Izuku and Ochako had thought about possible villain encounters and what to do when it happens. There was always a string of different meticulous steps Izuku would make in order to beat them, but a few things remained the same each time.
One: they had to stick together at all costs.
So Izuku and Ochako both charged at the wooden man because he seemed like the biggest threat, but before either of them could hit, a giant floating shield appeared in front of them and pushed Ochako to the other side of the room, leaving Izuku to fight the wood man.
'So much for sticking together,' they thought in unison.
After the floating shield finished dragging Ochako where she needed to be, it miraculously dropped to the floor, leaving her extremely confused. Next thing she knows, a machete comes flying at her from behind.
'They must have some kind of telekinesis quirk,' Ochako thought.
Two: analyze your enemies
Ochako barely dodged a flurry of blows aimed for her torso, only coming out with a scratch or two on her arms. Then like last time, the machete dropped to the ground, lifeless.
'He must only be able to control one object at a time, so if the machete dropped to the ground then he's probably coming wit-' she started to think before a giant mace came crashing down on her.
She only just dodged with a large scrape down her left arm. She had to bite her lip to keep herself from yelling.
'Alright, you wanna play dirty? Then let's play dirty,' Ochako thought as she touched the ground with all five fingers and then stomped.
Suddenly, hundreds of different shaped pieces of cement rose from the floor and Ochako smirked.
Three: make a plan that allows you to go on the offensive.
'FLOOR BARRAGE' Ochako screamed as she kicked all of the cement pieces at the mace one by one until she ran out.
The giant mace, which due to its size, Ochako assumed was the villain's ultimate move, now bent inwards with only holes to represent the fact that there used to be spikes there.
She smiled satisfactorily as she thought she won, but unbeknownst to her, the villain, wherever he was hiding, noted her strength and injected a vile of something into his wrist, causing his body to glow.
Seconds after the defeat of the giant mace, the machete, knife, shield, and the remains of the mace slowly rose. Then other weapons started appearing, more knives and swords circled her until she was blocked from view of the rest of the restaurant.
'I didn't think I'd have to do this,' she thought.
Suddenly all the weapons stopped moving and started to float upwards.
"ULTIMATE MOVE, GRAVITY BOMB!" Ochako exclaimed as her eyes started to glow pink.
The specifics of it are complicated, but a simple description of it would be that she used her quirk through the air to make all the weapons surrounding her lose their gravity and therefore the villains hold on them. It worked the same way as her floor barrage where she spread out what was affected by her quirk, except this move took way more focus and energy.
Energy she is quickly running out of, she needs to find a way to defeat this villain, otherwise he's just going to send more weapons at her and wear her out.
So she scanned the room for a place for someone to hide, she assumed he didn't have a range that would allow him to control the weapons outside of the room, and she also assumed he would have to see the weapon he was using. So the only place she could really think of was in the crowd, however, the crowd was outside the room, so she had to scratch that off.
Then she got creative and looked upwards, there was a high ceiling with beams large enough for a person to stand on. And sure enough, the beam right above her had a yellow glow coming from it, and normally ceiling beams don't have a yellow glow.
So, as the floating weapons reached an area slightly above where the glow was coming from, she used her other ultimate move.
"ULTIMATE MOVE, METEOR BARRAGE!" She yelled as she released the effect of her quirk on the objects and watched them fall onto the beam, effectively knocking it down.
After the dust cleared, she saw around fifty weapons laying around or on top of a scrawny man who was wearing a half skull mask and a hood, with many fresh holes in it.
Four: win!
However, before she could celebrate she heard a scream and a large thud.
"IZU!" Ochako screamed as she rushed over to the scream's source.
'So much for sticking together' Izuku thought as Ochako was flung away by the giant floating shield, leaving him with the man who could change his arm into wood.
Before he could go on a mumbling spree about the details of the man's quirk, he was struck hard by a wooden fist in the gut, effectively snapping him out of his trance and getting him back into the fight enough to dodge the next blow.
Izuku continued to dodge a flurry of blows, only coming out with some scratches and bruises. Then, chunks of the ground started floating around him.
'Ocha must've used floor barrage,' Izuku thought as he kicked three of the cement pieces at the villain, who dodged two of them, but Izuku predicted his movements and he wound up getting hit square in the chest with a chunk of cement.
'Thanks Ocha!' Izuku thought.
As the villain was still dazed from the floor piece, Izuku rushed in and threw a nasty uppercut at the villain's jaw, then followed it up with a haymaker to the gut, around the area he was hit with the cement piece.
"I didn't think I'd have to use my quirk on you, but it seems you've proved yourself enough," the man said as his fist turned into oak wood.
The man threw a punch at Izuku's side, which he dodged, or at least he thought he dodged, but then a twig grew out of the side of the man's fist and he got cut.
'He can grow extensions anywhere on his body?! Okay, that's going to be a problem,' Izuku thought as he put his hands up to block another blow. He figured blocking a fist worked better than getting cut while dodging.
As they continued fighting, the villain started slowing down, his punches were slower and not as hard as they were before. Noting this, Izuku saw that the battle he was fighting was much less a fight to the death and more an endurance battle. And since Izuku was unsure if he had a higher endurance than his enemy, he started looking for other ways to beat him.
However, just then parts of the floor started floating up again, but way more than the first time.
'Ocha had to use her ultimate move? Her enemy must be strong and she still found a way to help me out, she's going to be such a great hero! Love you Ocha!' Izuku thought then blushed, which was out of nowhere to anyone watching that wasn't Izuku.
'Where did that come from?!' Izuku thought, he knew Ochako and him were close, but they hadn't said that they loved each other before, even in a friendly way.
Then a hard wooden fist smashed into his gut with enough force to snap him out of his thoughts. Izuku shook himself and started to back up to where the floating cement chunks were, and the villain followed obliviously.
Once he was in place Izuku knew he had won.
'Gotcha!' Izuku thought as he kicked the three cement pieces at the man, the first one missed, but it created a layer of dust blocking Izuku from seeing whether or not the other two hit. However he heard two thuds and someone falling to the floor, so he assumed they hit.
'YES!' Izuku celebrated.
However, his celebration was much too early as the villain started to glow yellow and a blue syringe fell to the floor. Then three wooden arms came striking him hard on all sides, almost instantly knocking out.
But before he fell to the floor, Izuku managed to hear Ochako scream his name, it was good to know she was still alive...
(A/n: HAHA, CLIFFHANGER BITCHES! If you were wondering what I meant by opochako, this is what I meant. Essentially what she did was uses her quirk on the air, and the air acts as a medium that causes Ochako's quirk to effect anything touching the air, which is pretty much everything, so that's how she could simultaneously use her quirk on all the weapons and provide ammo to help Izuku.
Also her quirk negates the effects of most forces other than gravity, so it's much less zero gravity then zero forces, the only thing that can break that hold is a force stronger than hers, but we'll get to that soon...
Sorry if the Izuocha is too slow, I'm not the best at writing romance so the best I could do here is at least confirm it's a thing with Izuku's thoughts.
Also, if you couldn't tell, the beginning was an EXTREMELY LARGE HINT at what's coming next, so if you could tell, kudos to you.
As always, thank you guys so much for reading this, you don't know how much it means to me! If there was anything you were confused about or wanted to suggest, please feel free to comment/review about it(It would also make my day!))
