Hey Losties... I just watched the episode where Shannon dies... It was sweet at the end, when everyone reunited, but I still felt horrible, so I decided to write this small one-shot for y'all. I do not own Lost, but if I did Shannon wouldn't die. *turns away, crying*

They buried her next to her brother.

That was what everyone thought she would've wanted.

She never told anyone if she wanted to be cremated or buried, or any other way of finding a resting place after death.

She was too young to think about it.

Too young to die.

But death comes for everyone.

It doesn't care how old they are or whether they deserve it.

Flowers and trinkets are brought to the graves, sobs and whispers of I'm sorry drift in the wind.

People say I'll remember you.

But people forget about things.

That's what we do.

We forget that death is sudden.

We forget that death can come and take your loved ones in a second.

We think that people are indestructible.

And then we remember they aren't.
