It had only been a few hours since Luz had confessed to Amity what had happened in the human realm and now, the human girl was in her room wondering how she was going to break what had happened to her friends and Eda. How could she break it? Should she just say what she had promised or could she have explained everything that had happened?

She started going through some of photos she had in her hand. The first one had a photo of her and Willow snipping the branches of a Conzai plant, a plant that can perfectly con anyone. The second had her and Gus posing with a tiny illusion of Luz on her shoulder. The third had her strangling King in a massive hug that was making King narrow his eyes at her. The fourth had her riding Harpy Eda on her back with her fist in the air. The next one had her snuggling up to Amity, whom was kissing her on her cheek.

"Shame King went on to ruin that moment." Amity remarked as she placed a hand on her girlfriend's shoulder.

Luz laughed. "He'll warm up to us."

"You ready to tell them?" Amity asked. "It would be rude to keep them waiting."

"I want to be ready Amity, but I feel afraid that they might not be so understanding." Luz replied. "I mean you understood me, but the others…." Luz then went back to looking at the photos with everyone else she had grew close and sighed. "…I hope, they'll be understanding, but I'll be too scared."

Amity gently took Luz's hand and kissed it. "I promised I'd help you, didn't I? And I'm keeping that. Do you want me to help you?"

Luz nodded her head. "Yeah, I think it might help."

"Okay." Amity replied gently. "Now lay down on your ear. We gotta put these memories back in."

Luz gave a small grunt. "Okay." The human witch quickly lied down on her right ear and clenched her fists. "Will it hurt?"

"It'll feel weird." Amity replied. "Okay, just be prepared." Amity grabbed the first photo with the pair of tweezers and gently rolled it up and started pushing into Luz's ear.

Luz made a cringing noise, making Amity stop. "¡Asquerosa!"

"I'm sorry." Amity apologised. "Do you want me to stop?"

"No, no, no, no, no." Luz replied. "Just keep going."

"Does it hurt?"

"No, just feels weird." Luz clenched her fists and gritted her teeth to withstand the weird feeling which felt like a worm wriggling into her ear.

Downstairs in the main seating area, Eda and King were sitting on the couch, telling Gus and Willow about what they think might have happened when Luz went to the human realm.

"…then Luz went up against the robot frog and used her glyph to blow it up into smithereens!"

"Wait Eda, glyphs don't work in the human realm." King informed her.

"They don't?" Eda asked. "Since when were you there?"

"Another story, but here's the alternative of how Luz actually defeated the frog robot." King took a deep breath. "Luz's mom cowered in fear as the robot frog approached her, intent on destroying her and perhaps using her brain to build more frog robots."

"How would that help them?" Gus asked.

"Yeah, wouldn't she just have a new body and use it to her advantage?" Willow asked.

King sighed. "Fine, it wanted to take her so she could be a slave to their evil newt king. But all of a sudden, Luz who wanted to surprise her Mom, jumped out of the bush and readied her glyphs but she realised that her glyphs don't work and had to improvise. She performed awesome jumps and flips to make sure the robot didn't get her and then she grabbed a shovel and stabbed it in its eye, causing its head to blow up. It would be an awesome way for Luz to return to the human realm."

"I don't know King, I'm not sure where the idea of me fighting a robot frog came in." Luz said as she walked in the living room while holding Amity's hand.

"And what was that about a Newt King?" Amity asked.

"I just wanted it to be exciting." King pouted.

"Hey Luz." Gus greeted one of his best friends.

"How did the portal to the human realm go?" Willow asked.

"Well, it's a long story." Luz replied.

"Go ahead, I don't have anything to do today." Principal Bump interjected as he entered the room, something that caught everyone off guard.

"Oh yeah, I forgot he was here." Eda said with realisation.

"Eda, what's Principal Bump doing here?" Luz asked.

"I was here for your parental guardians evening." The school principal replied. "But I was caught in an intriguing conversation with your house demon."

"The story of how he gets his hair to be so perfect was really intriguing." Hooty said.

"Okay kid, tell us what happened in the human realm." Eda encouraged her. "Because King's story is the one that is legit facts for now."

Luz gave a brief glance Amity, who just smiled to give her some encouragement before sitting on the floor with Gus and Willow while Principal Bump stood behind the couch.

Luz took a deep breath and decided to tell her story. "Okay I-"

"How did you get the portal door in the first place?" Principal Bump asked. "I'll be asking a lot of questions since I wasn't there for those adventures."

"Can I explain it later?" Luz asked.

"Right, right. It's just I like stuff to be told with full context." Bump replied.

"Unless you want to be kicked out, then keep asking unnecessary questions." Eda said.

Bump narrowed his eyes at the Owl Lady and said, "Okay. I'll get those answers some other time. Please start your story Luz."

Luz took a deep breath. "Okay, so the portal only took me to a realm between the human realm and the demon realm where I could only communicate through reflections."

"She thought about spying on you, didn't she?" King asked Amity.

"She did but she remembered she's an awesome girlfriend and decided not to." Amity replied.

"Anyway, I tried to talk to my Mom but I was bothered by someone who looked like me." Luz continued. "And turns out, for the last few months, my place had been taken by a Basilisk named Vee. Her powers were unfortunately draining and the best way to restore them was through the Hexes Hold'Em Cards. But when we tried to get them, Vee was captured by some crazy conspiracy theorist that thought demons were from Mars."

Hooty gasped like he was offended. "That is very demoncist! What is Mars?!"

"Does this guy think we come from a snack?" King asked. "Because it sounds like a snack."

"It's a planet." Luz replied. "Anyway, I had no choice but to tell Mom and I told her everything."

"Everything?!" Principal Bump exclaimed. "You better have told her that Hexside is a great school and I'd be honoured to have more human students in attendance."

"Sorry Bump, I didn't." Luz's response made Bump sigh with disappointment. "Anyway, she rescued Vee and agreed to let her stay. But, that unfortunately lead to me upsetting mom. And I slipped that I chose to stay here and she blamed herself for it. It wasn't her fault."

"I don't know." Bump said while tapping his fingers. "Running away from home has many reasons and she might have every right to blame herself."

"Do you want to be thrown out of the house?!" Eda asked the principal angrily. "Because I'll gladly do it!"

"I'd point out that you don't have any magic, but I don't want to have some kind of comeuppance."

"Did you explain to her that it wasn't her fault?" Gus asked.

"No." Luz replied sadly. "Because the portal was about to die out and I was being pulled away. And I was kind of forced to promise Mom that I'd stay with her in the human realm when I get back. And that's it. I made a promise to Mom." Luz tried to hold it in together but was struggling her hardest.

While everyone was in silence, Amity quickly got off the floor and walked to Luz to comfort her. She started to hug her while Luz sobbed into her shoulder. "Well done Luz." Amity said. "You did what you had to do."

Everyone was still in silence about the promise Luz had made. Eda, Willow and Gus were trying to find the right sentence, King looked like he was about to cling on to Luz while Hooty and Bump had stray tears falling from their eyes.

"So, it means you won't come back?" Bump sighed. "You made my job more bearable."

"NOT COMING BACK?!" Hooty cried. "WHY DOES EVERYONE THAT I GROW ATTACHED TO LEAVE ME?! FIRST LULU, NOW LUZ!"

"Do you want to cry about it outside?" Bump asked.

"Come here Bum Bum!" Hooty replied.

Bump, despite the fact he hadn't agreed to the nickname, walked outside to have a good cry with Hooty.

While Luz continued to sob into Amity's shoulders, King was busy thinking about what this meant.

"So, that means, no more hugs and kisses from Luz?" King asked sadly. "I don't want this."

Eda got off the couch and approached Luz. "Hey Amity, I'd like to talk to Luz."

Amity listened and pulled herself out of the hug so Eda could talk to her sort of daughter. "Kid, why did you hide this from me?"

Luz sniffled. "I….Was too afraid of what your reaction might be."

"Luz, I know you don't want to leave this place." Eda replied. "And I'm not upset or angry…." Eda sighed. "…I'm just worried. I'm worried that even if we try and convince your mother, she won't let us. I know I'm not the best role model or the poster child for mother of the year, but you're like the daughter I never had and my life wouldn't be this amazing if you never popped up in my life."

"As for me and Gus, we're not angry." Willow informed her friend.

"But we are kind of worried a bit." Gus said. "Like Eda, we're both worried we'll never get to see you again."

"And we're going to do everything to bring you home and encourage your mom to let you visit. Right King?"

But King was quick to grapple Luz by her leg and was hugging her. "Luz, I don't want you to go but I will help you as well. Even though deep down, I don't want you to go, I'd be cruel by not letting you go home. Cause, we're all here for you Luz and we won't stop. I promise."

Luz gave a teary eyed smile at King and hugged him back. "Who are you and what have you done with the real King?"

"Come on Luz, I'm getting emotional." King replied. "Don't ruin this."

While Luz was hugging King, Willow, Gus, Amity and Eda decided to get in on the hug. Luz, still a bit teary eyed, smiled knowing that no matter what might happen in the future, everyone she has grown attached to in this world is there for her.

"Hey question: What are we going to do about them two?" Luz asked.

"Don't worry, Hooty will wear himself out." Eda assured her. "But I don't know about Bump."

Outside the Owl House, Principal Bump was hugging Hooty while he continued to cry. "Does she have to leave Hooty?! Does she?!"

"Bum Bum, please stop crying!" Pleaded the teary eyed Hooty. "When you're crying, I'm crying!"

And so the house demon and the school principal continued to cry their eyes out while everyone else inside hugging it out with Luz.
