Pokémon: Pallet Town Heroes
I'm sorry this took so damn long, decided to take a break in February because of my school work. Also decided to play some games. Tales of Zestiria, Berseria, and final fantasy VII Remake. I have a lot of story ideas because of them.
They'll be a much smaller project than Pokemon and Fire emblem.
Pokemon and Fire emblem stories will have around 4,000-5,000 words while the newer ones will have 2,000-2,750 words. Don't want to have too much on my plate.
I know I already shouted it out, no matter how small my platform is, but there's a doujin called 'Pokemon Festival of champions." It's incomplete, but's it's wonderful, and I want to mix it in with my story.
Reviews:
Reader: Thank you! I hope my writing leveled up in this fight to please you.
Guest: I don't speak Spanish so I put it in google translate, so I hope I'm getting this right, but I don't think what I've written are 'silly mistake's" Giving Green the Larvitar wasn't a mistake. This story isn't just about Ash, it's about all of them. Yeah, I may have a bias for Ash, but that won't stop me from giving the others the respect they deserve, flaws and all.
Onto the chapter.
Chapter 7: Save the Center
Red was the first to attack, "Pika, no mercy! Thunder Wave!" His voice turned coarse, and his pupils dilated. His partner roared, as he jumped upwards and let out his lightning. The waves flickered as it went towards his enemies.
Blue flicked his arm forwards, "Charmeleon, destroy them with Dragon Breath!" Charmeleon's stomach grew before it went to his neck, before rearing his head back and threw it forward, letting out blue flames that spewed in a wide area in front of him.
Green simply pointed with a cold and focused look, "Blasty, Waterfall." The turtle Pokémon slammed his right foot forward. Water broke out from the clean floor, bursting full of power and strength. Blasty roared with the intent of running it through Green's enemies.
Proton only laughed. After what Giovanni outfitted him with. This was child's play. Well, they were children.
"Come! Metagross!"
Blue widens his eyes. "What."
"What the hell is that!?" Red could only yell. Four blue steel legs that got larger at the end. A big metal 'X' shape on his face and dividing his two red eyes. Which was in front of a circular rough diamond shape body, only the top part of the diamond though.
As the attacks collided with the steel body. The power exploded upon his steel body and dust flew out to the rest of the cafeteria. It blocked the sight of the trio.
.
.
.
"BUURAAAGGHHHHUH!"
The dust left the area as the roar met them at their very core. Red grit his teeth and decided to roar back. He wasn't going down without a fight. "It doesn't matter, Pika Thunder Shock!"
One of the goons stepped up, "Golbat! Sonic Boom!" The bat Pokémon screeched before flapping its wings rapidly and throwing an outburst of wind. Unsurprisingly, Red's Pokémon were very strong. So, the Sonic Boom was overturned by the strength of the lightning.
It tore through Golbat's body before fainting. PLAT. The body slammed into the ground.
No mercy to these fools.
The other goon flinched and stepped back while the one who sent Golbat out gaped. Proton 'tched' before glaring at them to scram.
They ran to try and deal with the other people in the Center.
Red was about to run after them before, "Wait! Brock is strong enough to deal with them, we have to beat this guy together." Green stopped him in his tracks, she never let her eyes off of the grunt.
Red growled before swiping his arm, "Fine. Let's trash him!" Blue pointed his nose upwards, looking at Proton like trash. "Alright, all of it rides on this."
Metagross was simply waiting for them and his master to give him an order, and an order he gave.
Proton threw his right arm out, "Metagross, Flash Cannon!" The monster opened his maw wide and started charging a silver solid ball-form.
Green gasped before yelling. "Out of the way! Out of the way!" Green backpedal and climbed over tables and chairs. Blasty followed her quickly.
Blue ran backward along with Charmeleon. That attack was devastating, so they had to vacate the area before they got blasted.
Red… stayed. "Thunder Shock, on the ground!" Pika started charging his power, before letting rip the ground, rupturing it, and making it crash into each other.
Pikachu and Red being the closest one, Metagross turned to the duo before letting it out, along with a bellow.
Bzzz-Bzzz-BOOOM
The power left its mouth and flew forward towards the two.
"Red!"
"Idiot!"
The boy in red didn't seem worried, though he was sweating as if waiting for something. He pointed to the ruptured ground, "Pika, Thunder Shock again." Letting it rip one more time, the ground sundered, and large pieces flew to meet the steel beam of an attack.
BOOM
Proton couldn't help but widen his eyes. What the hell? That was the only thing that was on his mind before being blasted back. His back hit the wall and he grimaced. "Damn kids…"
"Charmeleon, Flamethrower!" Flames burned the ground and enraptured the Steel beast. The beast gritted its teeth, before snuffing it away with his psychic ability.
Green wasn't letting up, "Blasty, Waterfall on the tables! Make it hurt!" Slamming his foot, water spouted from the ceramic floor, into the tables and were launched at Metagross.
The Team Rocket Admin scoffed, "Get rid of it, Bullet Punch." Metagross heeded the command and launched one leg out at the tables, destroying all of them in the process.
And behind them was Blasty. Jaw open and glowing a dark pulsing aura. Metagross felt a weary emotion.
Green smiled viciously, "Bite!" Blasty flew through the rubble of broken tables and shut his jaws onto Metagross's body.
"ERAGH-ER!" Shouting in pain, it tried to fling Blasty off of its body, but the turtle held on and held even tighter.
"Grrr…" Proton could see this going south, "Damnit! Metagross, grab it and yank him off!" Metagross stopped wildly swinging and tried to yank Blasty off of him, it winced and—if it could, pale as it saw the approaching mouse and lizard.
Blue seemed to want to destroy his voice with his scream, "Flamethrower!" Charmeleon's eyes turned an orange hue before bellowing flames that melted the metal legs of tables.
Red imitated Blue, yet with more ferocity, "Thunder Shock!" Pika responded by slapping his red cheeks. Lightning flickered, before lighting up with the power of Zapdos themself and sundered Metagross with Thunderbolt.
KRA-KOOM
Blasty voluntarily got off, flipping off the metal beast as it met its fate. His feet tapped the broken floor like a ballerina before balancing himself.
Green had a smile worthy of Giratina's praise. The way she giggled as the flames roared, she could smell the burning ceramic tiles and the gas of molten metal. Green patted Blasty on his head as a mother would to their child.
It felt good to be smart.
"You damn kids…"
She turned her head to Proton, her eyes shining as she did so. If looks could kill, the trio would've returned to the void.
Proton ripped something from his pocket, it looked to be a portable radio, black in color and thick like a brick. Tearing open the case blocking a purple button, he tapped it viciously and his sneer turned into a smirk.
Blue's pupil dilated before he thrust his arm, "Charmeleon, Brick Break!" The lizard threw himself, at Proton, his right arm glowing as he did so.
Fwoo-Thwap
Charmeleon hacked and stopped his Brick Break as he felt something grab his tail. The large metal claw squeezed before flinging him in the opposite direction of Proton.
Woo-Bang-CRASH
The flames and electricity dissipated as Metagross stepped out of the rubble and liquified metal. It stumbled and flinched as it walked haggardly. Its face contorted like it was hearing dying children, it hacked as purple malice dripped from its body.
Before vanishing.
Red would've gotten whiplash with how fast he turned his face to Proton.
"Proton-"
BAM
Pikachu was slammed into Red's stomach. The air rushed out of his lungs as they were sent flying towards…
*Huuuaaagggh!*
Blue vision blinked in and out as he felt flat wood on his back and Red on his stomach. He felt sore ad his muscles flare before he curled up.
Proton sneered, "Metagross, destroy."
Green could stare up at Metagross, who appeared out of thin air, only the dust showing evidence that Metagross moved…
"Shi-"
Kra-KOOM
"Oh shi-"
This was one of the worst times in her life.
-0-
Brock was having the time of his life.
Well—not exactly. They were in trouble; be it was because of that he was able to live out his dreams. A sense of excitement jolted through his body.
Nurse Joy was leaning on him. This was wonderful.
Fwo-BOOM
Oh right, the attack.
"Geodude, Rock Throw!" His Pokémon quickly jabbed his hands into the ground before grasping at the broken rock and flung it towards the Golbat.
The bat had no way of dodging, which, unfortunately, meant that the rock smacked into him, knocking him out.
"Wu-bu… Damn you!"
"Geodude, Tackle!"
The Team Rocket grunt was slammed into the wall, his spit flying out of his mouth before he keeled over.
Now back to his dream.
"Thank you, Brock."
He turned to Joy, her ever wonderful face and radiant smile blessed upon him. Oh, how he swooned over it.
"I'd do anything for a beautiful lady like yourself~" Brock got on one knee, before stretching out his hand. "Please, marry me."
Nurse joy only huffed before gently taking his hand and closing it, "Sorry, but I'm already married."
Brock turned to stone.
"H-hey. Are you okay? I know that first-time rejection happens, but you don't need to turn into stone because of it. S-so, let's let it go?" Nurse joy said while having sweat on her face, hoping she didn't step on personal feelings.
Kind of a ditz.
Brock's head drooped, "Yes, of course." Though his words said of acceptance, his tone of sunken despair made it out entirely different.
Nurse joy could only have sweat on her brow and a nervous smile.
They both perked up when they heard a loud boom.
Nurse joy's face turned sour and panicked, "That's the cafeteria!"
Brock suddenly sprung up with his brow furrowed, "That's Blue and the others!" he ran like no tomorrow.
He set the brakes to turn back to Nurse Joy, "hide somewhere and call officer Jenny, protect the Pokémon. I'll deal with the Team Rocket member."
Nurse joy nodded before opening up a secret hatch and climbing in.
The day could be saved.
Now Brock had to send a message back to his Gym, he needed something.
-0-
Brock sprinted across the Center like a star quarterback, he saw smoke coming out of the doorway, he heard nothing else.
If Blue and the others won, they would have come for him and Nurse Joy.
Like an anchor, his stomach dropped when he looked through the doorway.
Liquid metal all around the cafeteria, but no kids around. Smoke covered the area and just sniffing it wanted to make him vomit. It was a wonder how the police weren't here yet.
"Blue! Are you in here!" No response.
"Red!" No response.
"Green! Anyone!" No response.
Brock wanted to retch…
"RUUAAGHHHRRR!" The ex-Gym leader turned his head before diving to the floor. Large rebar flew over him and crashed into the side of the doorway.
KRA-KAAAACKKK
The doorway bent forward, making anyone above 4'00" have to crouch if they wanted to get out.
POP
"AUGH!"
Brock whirled to face the voice, he saw Red crash into the ground and skid across the broken floor, crying out in pain.
Red rolled and reverse-somersaulted, trying to regain his footing before falling on his behind. He ducked as a table flew at him.
He heaved as a yellow blur slammed into his stomach, again…
CRASH
Brock looked at the wall Red went splat on, "Red!" He ran towards the boy who held his stomach and Pikachu.
The ex-Gym leader held the boy's shoulder and shook him to make him look up at him.
"…! Brock!"
"Yeah, hey. Let me see the bruise." He lifted the shirt and wince at the nasty purple bruise on his abdomen. Sucking air in between his teeth, he lowered it and patted his shoulder, "Rest here. I'll handle the rest."
Red tried to grasp at Brock, but he lurched at a sudden spike in pain.
Looking towards the battle he could see; things weren't going their way.
Blue was hiding behind crumpled tables and chairs stacked upon each other. Charmeleon was laying on the floor, scratched and bruises covered his body as Blue was using potions to get him back up.
"War!"
The behemoth of a Metagross, which was bathed in purple malice, was swinging Blasty like a cotton doll, hurled him towards walls, tables, and the floor.
"Throw him at the brat."
Metagross lifted Blasty over his head, suspending him up for just a second, before crashing down towards a girl in black.
"Blasty, return!" Her voice coarse and rough, worn from how much she used it during the battle, and she held out her Poke ball. The red light wrapped up Blasty before sucking him in.
Green rolled out of the fist that cracked the ground where she was.
She backpedaled and half backflipped out of another hand trying to punch her. She lost her footing before crashing into Brock.
He smiled before pointing his thumb to Red. Green, looked back to her friend before nodding, ran to him.
"Eh? Who the hell are you?"
Brock impassively looked at Proton, before smiling at the memory of his father taking him out easily.
"That smile is annoying. Metagross, Flash Cannon."
Brock unclipped a Poke ball and threw it forward, "Ready to rock, Steelix!" Proton paled.
Fwo-BOOM
The ground shook, tables flew, Metagross stumbled and stopped, and Proton desperately held on to a counter and not be blown back.
A giant face with a giant maw that had a perpetual smile.
A wide head with jagged teeth at the side of its mouth, the steel ball segments had two thick poles on every other segment.
It opened its mouth, breathing out a seeable breath as it stared at Metagross and Proton. Proton's pupils were dilated and a heavy grimace on his face, gritting his teeth so hard that his pearly whites might break.
"Hammer Arm, destroy it quickly!"
The drugged-up Pokémon yelled before leaping forward, basically flying at this point, as his arms glowed a violent red hue. It drove it forward towards the steel snake. It crashed and destroyed the tables and chairs.
"Steelix! Dodge!"
Steelix surged forward, zigzagging towards Metagross before weaving around him, dodging the strike, and making dust fly.
"Fire Fang!"
Steelix started to wrap around the monster, squeezing the life out of it before rearing his head back and plunging his fangs into the steel hide. Metagross lit aflame.
It screamed in pain, trying to slam his body in every direction. Steelix refused to let go, and it made him only bite down harder. They tussled for what seemed like ages.
"Metagross, Psychic!"
Gritting its teeth, its eyes glowed as pinkish psychic energy surrounded Steelix, it forced Steelix's mouth back.
Brock shouted to the top of his lungs, "Autotomize!"
Steelix looked towards Brock before driving his energy out of him, making him… Easier to lift? Steelix was lifted and suspended in the air.
"Don't you know how moves work, dumbass?" Proton jeered at him.
"Spiky, Dark pulse!" A beam pulsated and smacked into Metagross's side, stopping the Psychic.
Green pointed towards the Team Rocket member, "Payback!" Green's eyes would have turned the ocean into ice.
Spiky 'Larvitar' rushed Proton. Proton stepped back before he jumped back as Larvitar slammed his tiny fist into the floor, breaking the ceramic floor and fly everywhere.
"Damn you kids-"
"Charmeleon, Flamethrower!"
Proton saw the red lizard jump into the air before fire obscured his vision and wreathed its heat onto his body. Burning, smoldering heat.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"
Lightning struck his back, slamming his back against the wall and making his consciousness flicker. He rolled in pain, clutching his everything.
Proton couldn't say anything, so Metagross went ballistic. It thrashed and flailed, whipping the tables around.
"Put it out of its misery, Stomping Tantrum."
Two small feet were felt on Metagross's back before they pummeled into its body. Metagross hacked and coughed as they slammed again and again.
Twice, thrice, four, five…
Spiky leaped into the air before he plummeted and crashed against Metagross. The ground caved and Metagross finally stopped moving.
The fight was finally over.
BOOM
The four leaped into the air and looked around, only to see Steelix smiling, which was even wider, as his body vibrated after he landed on the ground.
Green let gravity take her before closing her eyes.
"That… Wasn't… Funny…"
The day had been saved and the center saved.

30 minutes later
Red was on a hospital bed squirming, he was stressed, angry, and exhausted. Ivysaur was with him while Pikachu was resting peacefully right beside him. God that battle was annoying.
After the fight, the police finally arrived, saying that another attack occurred not far from here. Thankfully, they had help from two trainers, one being a Gym Leader.
The Metagross was taken in by the Pokémon center to be healed and then analyzed to see if they could help it and remove that purple malice.
Anyway, they took custody of Proton and his goons, well, the man had to be taken in a stretcher. Turns out, getting flamed and having lightning hit your body makes you hurt.
Go figure.
Hisss-Clink!
The automatic door slid open, revealing Blue.
"Aren't you supposed to be resting Blue? Ow!" Red tried to sit up but failed and curled a bit.
"Same could be said to you. Chansey healed me, she's healing Green right now. You're the last one."
"Goodie…"
Blue barked out a laugh. They didn't have to worry about anything right now, they could just rest now. That felt good.
Blue leaned on a bed right next to Red's bed, he looked up at the ceiling and didn't talk. He had a lot on his mind, not all of them good.
"Hey, Red…"
"…Yeah?"
"Are you going to go after Team Rocket?"
"…"
"Figures. That dangerous Red."
"And? If no one is going to stop them, I will."
"That's arrogant and stupid. Of course, people are trying to stop them. They are basically at war with the Indigo League. You're a rookie trainer. Stay in that lane."
"Would you stay in that lane, Blue?"
Blue didn't say anything.
"Thought so. We can't just leave them be. I may be dense, but even I know when something is amiss. The league already has their hands tied, if no one steps up, I will."
Red looked at the ceiling, too. He believed in what he was saying. If that meant putting his dream on hold, then that was that. Dreams meant nothing if innocent people got hurt and you did nothing.
"…Then don't do it on your own, idiot."
"Huh?"
Blue turned his attention away from the ceiling to look at his friend, his rival.
"Lean on us, Green, me, even Brock. Hell, maybe Ash, as well. Stop acting like this is your fight. They're at war with Kanto, that means they're picking a fight with everyone."
Blue stopped leaning on the bed and stood straight as he looked at Red's eyes. He saw surprise and appreciation come from them. Looks like his point came across well.
Red only smiled after a period of time passed. He had good friends.
"Thanks, Blue."
The Oak said nothing, simply back at it again staring at the ceiling along with Red. Their dreams meant everything to them, they wouldn't let anyone take it away from them.
And if it meant saving the region to do it, they would do it.

Plumes of smoke rose from the street, not far from the Cerulean Gym. Police and Arcanines surrounded the area, refusing to let people trespass the area. Lines of yellow tape covered the perimeter.
People were shepherded away from the scene, not wanting civilians and trainers' noses in these affairs. The police needed an image of security if they wanted to be shown respect, after all.
Except for two.
"Ugggghhhh… Can we leave yet?"
"No, we have to be patient and answer all of the nice policewoman questions." Even though Sabrina said something inconspicuous, the derision didn't hide when she said it.
Ash looked away and scratched his cheek.
They were going to celebrate his first victory over a Gym leader when they saw a couple of people in black suits harassing people and taking a shop, and it was during the evening, too.
Talk about bold, or stupid. One of the two, or maybe both.
Bah, Ash was getting sidetracked.
"Thanks for your answers, you two may go now."
Thank god.
Wait, the police officer was here the whole time? Huh. How unimportant.
Sabrina stretched her arms, if only Ash wasn't nosy every time something bad happened. But then again, this wouldn't be fun.
Hopefully, Giovanni wouldn't be too mad, she was leading him to get a legendary. She should get a promotion after all this mishap.
"Finally, now where do we go?" Ash turned to Sabrina, wanting answers. He was just a beginner; having someone older than him, maybe just by six years, they had to be knowledgeable.
He trusted her.
"Well, let's go to the Pokémon center. Heal up our Pokémon and plan later. I'm famished." Ash nodded to what she said, his Friends earned it. They could celebrate later.
Throwing his fist into the air, "Alright! I'll lead the way!" Without thought, he ran to the Center. Sabrina could only suffer in silence as she ran for him.
"Aaaasssshhhhh! Wait up you dummy!"
She looked towards the police cars with the Rocket members. She cursed under her breath; she ruined another raid by them. Oh well, those members probably didn't matter.
Losing a few members would be fine. They didn't matter.

Green was sitting in the lounge of the Center; she had a big white bandage near the left side of her mouth and a normal one above her right eyebrow. Her right eye was closed, and she sagged in her red seat.
Some bandages were on her arms and legs.
God, she was itchy.
She sat laid her head on her arm, which was on the arm of the comfy red chair. She should book a room soon, a nice-comfy-Bed.
Vrrr-ding!
"Hello! Welcome to the Pokémon Center!"
"Hi! Can you heal my Pokémon? Also, why is the Cafeteria closed? Also, why does something smell like it's burning?"
Green perked up.
"Of course! There was an attack on the Center, but don't worry, they were taken care of because of some trainers."
"Oh. Are they okay?"
"Yep, they're a bit hurt, but a night's rest will get them up in shape. Don't worry about them. Now let me see your Pokémon."
Ash put all of his Poke balls on the cart, which Chansey then drove away to be healed.
Vrr-ding!
Clap clap clap.
"Ash, don't run off."
"Sorry."
Sabrina sighed, "That's fine, just don't do it again. Now, let me get us a room, I need a shower."
Ash took a whiff of his clothes before he reared it back with a face of disgust, he needed a bath, too.
"Alright. Tomorrow we make a plan on where to go next?"
"Yep."
After getting a room, they both took off towards the rooming area of the center.
Green watched all of this and bit her thumb; her gloves weren't on right now. She forgot they were here, what a bad new friend she was.
Green might be traveling on her own, but that was better than traveling with the lady in red. Green grew worried for Ash, she didn't know who Sabrina was, she was an unknown and had the guts to kill.
She wanted to move, but she couldn't. There was no way she wanted to catch Sabrina's ire. Green began heaving before placing a hand on her heart.
No, no. Ash was a good trainer, he could handle himself. She just had to believe in him, in that he could take care of himself.
She made a face like she just sucked on a lemon.
Maybe she should join them…
Sighing, she sagged even further into her red comfy couch, threatening to suck her in. She wanted to be swallowed by it and never had to think this hard again.

Night…
Ash stood on the balcony of Sabrina and his room. His Pokémon were out of their Poke Balls and were sleeping around the room. He smiled at the sight of them.
He looked towards the stars, the dreams and passions were said to fuel every glittering star. It felt like he could reach and grab one out of the dark blue sky.
Become a Pokémon Master.
That was what he wanted to be. He believed in it.
But did anyone else believe in it? Did Professor Oak? Did his mom?
Of course, his mom did, but what of the Professor? He didn't seem fit to earn the Pokédex, did he believe in him?
Did it matter?
Blue hated him. He was always a bully, picking on him and laughing at him till he neared cried a whole night. So, he would never believe in him.
Did that matter?
Red, was nice… That was just about it. Ash didn't know an actual thing about Red, and that was sad. He was the only one to invite him to things that others would never do. Would he care?
Did it matter?
Green was… mischievous. She was smart and clever. She also had her own things she needed to do. She didn't have time for his shenanigans. She would care, but not enough. How much was enough? Was this selfish of him?
Did that matter?
.
.
.
…Yes. Yes, it did. Yes, it did matter.
Something pricked at his eyes. He wiped it away.
That was why he was thankful for Sabrina. He sucked in air, before letting all the anxiety and butterflies away.
He was young, just 10 years old. These selfish thoughts always clouded children's minds, and sometimes, even adults.
Ash didn't know what the others thought of him, he only came to the most logical conclusion he could. And kids were illogical.
He was glad Sabrina was traveling with him, that made things just a bit better. These days on this adventure. How lovely it seemed.
In the final moments of reminiscing over, he wiped some of the tears away before making his way back to bed.
Sabrina was still in the shower, as he hears the water running, he silently slid into his bed of these two bedrooms.
His eyes drifted and his body and soul went into a deep slumber.
The shower stopped, the door didn't open, a phone clicked, the bathroom door opened.
Sabrina's dried hair swayed as she yawned and turned off her phone, finally, it was done.
She slept soundly with a smile.
