This my dear readers is the brain baby between me and my dear friend and editor. It has been in our drafts since like...2018ish?

It is finally seeing the light!

We are immensely proud of this work as its a darker tone than what we usually go for.

I hope ya'll enjoy it.

In a faraway land, in the coldest reaches of the world, there stood a proud and noble Kingdome. Despite the cruel harshness of its winters and the chilly summers, they thrived. Both as a people and as a nation. The resiliency of the far north is legend for a reason. The Kingdome grew steadily and it always seemed so joyful despite the unforgiving land. How ever, deep in the beautiful, gleaming castle, there brewed a twisted, sinister darkness.

They should have seen the signs. The moment they were born, lightning struck and a snowstorm grew as the air was filled with two infant screams, but the King and Queen were so elated with their gift of twins they did not think ill.

Two identical girls, no one could tell them apart. The only difference came once they were around thirteen years of age, but by then the King and Queen had raised them as one person. No one outside of the maids and a handful of guards knew there were two. The Kingdom and the world beyond were led to believe there was only one.

Elsa of Arendelle.

One was confident and charismatic, while the other was silent and almost shy.

But when they were supposed to be one, when they were supposed to be Elsa, They were indistinguishable.

Their parents were so very proud of them and loved them dearly, they never loved one more than the other, not even when they had another child. A redhead, three years younger than the twins. The twins loved their little sister so much and cared for her with all their hearts and later maybe even more.

All seemed perfectly fine, until the twins were around sixteen years of age. They were sneaking to their shared room with a tray of chocolate they stole from the kitchen late one night.

As they passed their fathers study room they saw him standing in front of the fire, hands clasped behind his back. Their mother was sitting behind him on the sofa and what he told her made their blood run cold.

"When the day comes that we no longer can rule, only one of them can take the throne. There can be only one," he said.

The twins looked to one another frightened before darting off to their room before anyone could notice them standing there.

"What did he mean there can only be one?"

"He probably meant they would need to choose one of us to be queen, the other would need to stay a princess."

"But all our life, they treated us as one; no one knows the other exists!"

"Calm down, there must be a rational explanation; I doubt it is what we fear."

The confident one, Elisa, reached forward and stroked her sister's cheek in loving reassurance. Eliza closed her eyes and leaned into her sister's gentle touch.

An unspoken sinful fire between the twins started burning then. It had been flickering since they were fifteen with lingering glances and hastily dismissed thoughts, but that night as they comforted the other it grew. It grew and grew, unchecked and unhealthy.

Then tragedy struck. Their parent's ship, away on the Northern Seas and making the treacherous route south, capsized and sank to the icy depths. There were no survivors as the frigid waters claimed the rest. The siblings broke and cried and grieved. Elisa, being the stronger of the two went with Anna to the funeral. Eliza stayed in her room and cried on their bed, helpless and shattered.

Eighteen was a harsh age to lose both of one's parents. They weren't old enough yet to take the throne in the name of Queen, but they were expected and required to take on the duties. They split the duties evenly between the two of them, one seeing to the people and the other to the counsel.

Anna handled it far worse than her sisters. Being fifteen at the time, she lost her foundation when she lost her parents. And with her sisters constantly occupied with running the Kingdome, she handled her grief in a different way. Anna channeled that violent darkness swirling inside into training with the guards. She wished to learn to fight. To tackle her problems with the edge of the sword and the bottom of her boot. Even just venting her pain and fury with wooden training blades on straw stuffed dummies granted her momentary relief.

On the night after their parent's funeral, after the tears had run out leaving a void desperate to be filled, the twins finally crossed the sinful barrier between comfort and carnal need. They sinned and all it started with was a kiss. Eliza's need for safety and security led to her pressing her lips to her sister's. Everything seemed to freeze, as if it had been a line too far. Then Elisa responded in kind.

It burned so fierce and hot that despite the raging snowstorm outside, they were covered in sweat and screaming as they made the beast with two backs. It felt like they became one that night. The maids passing by kept their mouths shut and their tongues still, knowing this was just one more secret they were to keep.

The sisters should have known there could only be sin from there. Darkness grew in those marble halls. Darkness mocked the gleaming and polished white stones. And darkness like this, it grew with each passing sin and it was always hungry for more.

Their attention turned to their beloved, pure-hearted, little sister Anna. Once she turned sixteen and they witnessed what all that training did to her body, both looked to her with the same growing, heated hunger they had for each other.

But Anna was innocent, she was warmth, she was love, she was…perfect.

And that made them want her more. Not to destroy such beauty and perfection, but to worship it.

Unknown to the twins, Anna had been wandering the castle late at night, craving the love and warmth that used to flow through the halls while their parents lived. The void that grew from her nightmares and her loneliness forced her on her aimless nighttime walks.

One night, a few months after their parent's untimely demise, Anna suffered through a truly horrifying nightmare. She saw her parents, just as she remembered them, trapped at the bottom of the icy seas, chained to the sea floor like the damned and the wretched. They blamed her for not coming to save them. As the light and the life left their bodies, turning them sick and putrid with death and decay, they beckoned Anna to join them in the depths. To her horror, she found her feet moving her towards the cliff's edge and then the fjord coming up to meet her.

Anna woke with a horrified scream. She was back in her room but everything felt twisted and evil. Like she was looking through a broken lens. Anna needed to escape. She needed to find the light. That's what led her feet towards the twin's bedroom. Perhaps she could convince them to let her stay with them. She just needed love, not this growing void in her.

She paused in her silent shuffle as a scream ripped through the air. At first she thought one of them was having a nightmare, like her, but the scream was then followed by two sets of moaning. Confused, the princess looked through the keyhole and her eyes widened.

She saw one twin on her knees arching her back, body glistening in the candle light as she straddled the other twins head. The one on her back was clawing at the upright one and another scream ripped from her as one hand moved into her hair and the other gripped at her chest where the one laying down was gripping her breast.

Anna could feel her heart beat faster as she stumbled back and ran to her room. She didn't know what to think. She couldn't even tell which was which. She's heard talk among the guards while she was training, but that was idle gossip that was quickly silenced. She never put any stock in it and certainly never thought she'd be witness to her sisters doing such lewd and sinful acts.

Loneliness was replaced with obsession. It wasn't a warm fire, but it did burn away the darkness in her dreams. It took a few days of constant thought and recollection, but Princess Anna made a trip back to their room in the dead of night once again, only to see if she wasn't mistaken. If it wasn't just a fever dream her mind conjured as escapism. But there they were, once again. This time she saw them kissing as their bodies seemed to move together in such carnal bliss.

She wishes she stopped there. She wishes she could say she never watched them again, but it became such a perverted taboo to watch them having sex that she felt embarrassed at how it started to make her feel. And what started as shame grew to lust and unchecked desire. To see what they did next and then spend the rest of the night in her bed reliving it on her own.

Anna isn't sure what made them draw her into their den of sin. Maybe it was one too many blushes, a second she stared too long at one of their breasts, maybe it was the lustful fidget she gave whenever the one gave the other a kiss on the cheek. It was most likely when she started to almost turn her head during a cheek kiss from one of them to her. To have their lips brush against the corner of hers. A silent dare for them to claim her as theirs.

She wanted the warmth they seemed to share. The love they gave one another. They were just a family full of darkness and sin, it seemed, and she felt left out.

So, one day, a month or so after Anna's sixteenth birthday, during her usual night trip to voyeur lewdly over her sisters nightly delights did she notice the door was slightly ajar. The crack was just wide enough for a single shaft of candlelight to breach the cold dark hallway. Wondering if something was wrong, she peeked inside. Her breath hitched at seeing them both, bathed in the fire's warm, flickering glow.

They were naked as the day they were born and they were waiting for her. One twin stretched out her hand as if to ask Anna for hers while the other simply lifted hers and made a come hither motion with her finger. Anna, so entranced with these vixens found herself walking closer, closing the door behind her.

They were soft and gentle with her, slowly coaxed her onto the bed and removed her nightgown. Their cold hands gently stroked over her toned body, their lips kissing over her face and neck. Anna lost herself in them. All she could do was lay back and let them love her and love her they did.

Elisa liked to dominate, she liked to be a little rough. She liked to make her feel her touch and not forget it.

Eliza liked to be submissive, she liked to go slow, to make love. She liked to make her feel her heart and not forget it.

Anna liked to be loved in either form.

The three of them had blissful, almost nightly, sinful love for a long while. But as time became shorter for one of the twins to be crowned Queen, Anna found herself with mostly just one of the twins at a time. There was a new void growing. Anna feared that the void they filled inside her had found its way between them. That she was driving them apart. After all, they were so passionately intertwined before she intruded.

While the twins preferred Anna over each other, now, they still had nights where it was just the two of them. However, something was different. As the time became shorter and shorter, what their father had said so many years ago echoed in their minds. It started infrequently but it soon dominated their thoughts and cursed the silent moments.

Eliza became fearful that her twin would do that which she said would never happen. That Elisa would do away with her to be the only one. Her fears and paranoia had merit as she overheard her dear beloved twin sister talk with two of their guards.

"There can only be one and I am that one, of course. I am the best to be Queen."

Eliza ran to their room as fast as she could, trying to erase it from her mind. It could not be true. Her sister would never, she thought, but deep down she knew she would. The cold in Elisa's heart was too hard to ignore. Slowly it was freezing and Eliza was terrified.

She couldn't believe her sister would be so loving towards her in their bed and at the same time want to kill her. Murder her in cold blood, all for a throne. Eliza's need to survive kicked in. She did not want to die.

Elisa's frozen heart became more and more apparent to her sister. Elisa even had the audacity to confidently tell her one night after making love that she would never hurt her while they were in bed.

One night, mere months from the coronation Elisa had the gall to tell her she didn't feel comfortable making love to her anymore, simply of what is coming down the road. She would make Eliza leave the bed, but that part of their relationship had come to an end. Eliza knew the coronation was almost upon them and she felt thrown away like trash.

Elisa found her twin sitting in front of their vanity, she held something in her hand as tears flowed from her eyes. Eliza whispered something, her eyes not meeting her sisters.

"What was that?" Elisa asked, a little annoyed. Her icy heart on display again. The days and years of when she would console her beloved sister were dead without a second thought.

"There can only be one," Eliza said as angry tears streamed down her face.

"Why of course dear sister, there could only ever have been one, do not fret," Elisa smiled sweetly. As if Eliza was surrendering. She looked victorious. That's when Eliza snapped, her survival instincts screaming at her to do it now.

She jumped up from her seat and her hand whipped around as she did. She watched her sister gasp before her neck split open, covering her in blood. Elisa grabbed at her neck and dropped to the floor. Horrified at what she had to do Eliza dropped to the floor with her, dropping the knife she had used.

As her twin lay bleeding to death she hugged her to her chest and asked for forgiveness. Eliza sobbed and begged as her blue dress stained with red, making a deep purple appear. As the life faded from her twin, Eliza was now Elsa. The only eldest daughter the Kingdom has ever known.

No one would know what really happened. The history books would never reveal this. This never happened. After all, there was only one.

And this is where we find ourselves. The death of both twins and the birth of Elsa.

Elsa eventually stopped sobbing, as there were no more tears for her to cry. She felt drained, she felt violated, and she felt sin crawl into her skin with her sisters' blood.

The maids found her like that, sitting in a pool of blood, covered in it, with the lifeless body with the other over her lap and in her arms.

"Oh, my sweet dear princess Elsa, you did what you had to do, we all knew this was coming," the eldest of them said as she gently removed the princess from the floor and body, knowing she had set Elisa down this path. It grieved the eldest maid to do it, but she told herself it was best for the kingdom that Elisa was the survivor.

"I had to do it, she was going to kill me and I just had to do it," Elsa kept repeating. She followed the maid to the bathroom and let herself be cleaned.

The next morning, when Anna awoke and saw a maid at her door looking sad and tired she knew. She pretended to be naïve and aloof, but she saw what was happening. She heard people talk.

"One of them is dead," she simply said and the maid nodded. She didn't dare ask which one, it didn't matter. She had been pretending her whole life she only had one sister, it was easy to slip into that role, but now she had to live either with a murderer or the one that didn't take her own life. At the time, she didn't know which was worse.

Anna took a deep breath and rubbed her eyes before heading to breakfast. She saw Elsa sitting at the table. She couldn't help but try to read her posture, her facial expression, and her tiny mannerisms. She's learned how to distinguish between the two, but right now she couldn't tell.

"Morning, Elsa," Anna simply greeted as she sat down, as she has done every morning of her life.

"Morning, Anna," Elsa said in kind and cleared her throat as they were served. Anna felt a chill run up her spine. This was Elisa; she wouldn't bat an eye about what happened. She would be able to eat even if Eliza's body wasn't yet cold. She was almost upfront with her plans to be Queen. Anna's heart cried for her shy and sweet sister that never deserved such a cruel fate. In that moment, part of her wished it was Eliza. Part of her wished Elisa had died.

Once their breakfast was done and they stood to leave, Anna felt a shiver of fear run up her spine as Elsa rested a hand on her lower back. It was affectionate, but it was very possessive. She could feel her legs shake as Elsa nuzzled her ear to whisper to her.

"We bury her tonight at midnight," Elsa whispered before kissing Anna's temple. The redhead closes her eyes and lets out a shaky breath before nodding.

It was odd to spend the day knowing that one of her sisters won't be available to go to while the other was busy, but Anna had to stay distracted. One day it would be as if she truly only had one sister. Elsa would be a good Queen, that's all that mattered. Their people didn't know the truth. They didn't need to know the truth.

Once midnight arrived, she felt uneasy being on a boat just out of the safety of the fjord. She fought to keep the nightmares from returning to her mind but her reality was just as awful. Anna tried her best to keep a regal pose as she stared at the wrapped body lying on the arms of two guards and the railing of the boat.

"We'll send her to be with mother and father," Elsa said before nodding. The guards heaved the body over the railing and into the dark pits of water below. Even in the darkness the white of the sheet could be seen for a few seconds before vanishing. Once she was gone, one of the supposedly trusted guards growled and turned to the monarchs.

"You are not her. This was not the plan at all!" the guard spat, putting his hand on the pommel of the sword. The other guard seemed to expect all of this, for the moon illuminated the flash of a blade as he slit the throat of the renegade.

"Traitor," he growled, pushing the body over to let the man either sink, freeze, or bleed out. It mattered not to him. He tossed the knife into the water and turned to the royals, bowing his head. "Long live the queen," he told them solemnly.

Anna turned and grabbed the railing of the sailboat, violently emptying the contents of her stomach. All of her training and all of her preparation for violence hadn't prepared her at all for the horror of what she just witnessed. Or the horror of what happened next. Elsa wiped the tiny spatter of blood that landed on her cheek. That's all. No other reaction to such callous loss of life.

And what did the guard… the traitor mean when he said that Elsa wasn't her? Did that mean that… Anna looked at Elsa far more carefully, her brain whirling about wildly trying to find something sane or real to latch on to.

"Pray tell, how did he know who I was?" Elsa asked and the guard knelt before his one true queen.

"Her plan was to merely bury you in an unmarked grave, though she was playing with the idea of simply hacking you up and tossing you into a pigs troth," he said with clear contempt and Elsa felt her lip twitch.

"This was a greater kindness than she deserved, then. No matter, let us get back to the castle," Elsa said and he nodded. Anna still felt sick and scared.

Once back at the castle, Elsa gently took Anna's hand, leading her to her room. Anna wasn't sure if she were up to being taken after what just happened, but she feared what her sister would do if she refused. A darker side of her craved to just be loved right now, to forget everything that had happened.

Anna moved onto the bed and she was expecting Elsa to pin her down and ravage her, but instead of her usual roughness, Elsa was more loving. She caressed every inch of Anna's body, kissed her softly and made sweet love to her. An even colder chill ran up her spine.

This wasn't Elisa. This was Eliza. Her sweet and kind sister. The one she thought could not hurt a fly. She was the murderer. Anna cried as her orgasm broke. She cried for her loss, she cried for her pain, she cried in fear and she cried in love. Everything she knew was upside down.

Elsa held her, whispered sweet nothings in her ear. Promised her the world and that she would never harm her. Anna clung to her, too scared to push her away. She loved her sister as much as she feared her and as of right now, she was terrified to the deepest depths of her soul.

Anna only spent the night with Elsa when she took her hand and led her to her room. She considered herself at Elsa's disposal and that it wasn't her place to request anything. She didn't sleep with her often as of late, since Elsa was busy preparing for her coronation. This would be the first time they would be presented to the world after their parent's death. This would be the entrance of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna.

For all of Anna's torment, Elsa was not free of it. Anna was the only balm to her own mental struggles. The only thing that kept her sane. On the nights where she was too exhausted to make love to her sister, she suffered great nightmares which just made her more exhausted the coming morn. She would dream that her twin was crawling over her, sopping wet from the water of the sea. Her eyes dead and her slit throat exposed with the blood washed away.

She'd wake up screaming. Other nights she'd turn around in her bed and there her sister would lay, staring at her with gray eyes, her throat slashed and bleeding, staining the bed, asking her why she killed the one that loved her so. How she could hurt the one she professed to love endlessly.

Elsa had to get it together before the coronation. She was to be Queen. There could only be one. Her sister was going to kill her. She had to do it.

She had to. She had to. She had to.

There could only be one.

Anna was nervous as the day was about celebrating their new Queen, it was supposed to be happy, but she was still scared of Elsa. Scared that she would turn her darkness on her. Even though she knew this was Eliza, the fact that she could murder her own and pretend to be her was scary.

As the day came to the ball and she was made to stand shoulder to shoulder with Elsa, Anna felt more nervous than she's been her whole life.

Elsa smiled to her gently and lovingly, she stroked over one of Anna's bare freckled shoulders, making the princess shiver.

"You look ravishing tonight, my princess," Elsa purred as she whispered into the redhead's ear. Her hand moved to stroke down Anna's back to rest just above her ass.

"Special just for you, m-my Queen," Anna's voice trembled. Elsa was being bold with her touches and Anna wasn't sure how to handle it. Her mind was still fighting with what she knew. One moment Elsa was one twin then she was the other, she felt lost and confused.

"I do love how that sounds," Elsa purred and kissed Anna's temple. They pulled apart after someone cleared their throat. They saw a dashing fellow smile to them. Anna thought he was kind of handsome while Elsa felt irked that someone dared to interrupt her time with Anna.

"Excuse me my queen, Prince Hans of the Southern Isles; may I have this first dance?" He asked bowing politely as he held out his hand.

"I don't dance," Elsa simply said.

"But I do," Anna said and took his hand. Anything to distract her from this uneasy feeling she had.

"Splendid!" He said and took her to the dance floor. Anna tried her very best to enjoy the dance, but every time she was in a position to see Elsa she felt an icy shiver run down her spine from the glare Elsa was giving them. After the third dance Anna excused herself to grab some punch for her and Elsa.

"Forgive me, my queen, time must have slipped. I brought us some-oh you have wine," Anna said as she stood on her spot. Elsa was sipping a very dark red wine. Her eyes colder than they ever were and sharper than she's ever seen them.

"Did you enjoy your dance?" Elsa said calmly, but the icy edge to it nearly turned it into a dangerous hiss. Anna suppressed the urge to whimper. Suppressed the urge to beg for forgiveness.

"I've had better," she said softly and sipped her drink while giving the other to a maid to take away.

"A shame that your first dance of the evening wasn't satisfying," Elsa said and Anna's eyes widened as she watched the ice blonde down her glass. The queen gave it to a maid along with Anna's half sipped glass before grabbing her hand.

"N-not at all, my queen," Anna said submissively.

"Then I guess I will show you how it's done my dear sweet Anna," Elsa said. The dance floor opened as the queen stepped to the dance floor. Anna watched as Elsa unclasped her purple shawl and let her hair loose from its bun.

The princess had to keep herself from blushing as Elsa took up the man's position in the dance and started to twirl her around the dance floor like they have been doing this for years. This was bold, very bold and so unlike the twin she came to believe was alive. Not even Elisa would have done this. This was new and it was intoxicating.

As the music kept playing Anna closed her eyes and let the world fade. She was tired of not knowing, tired of hopping between the two sisters. She felt Elsa spin her around and once she came to a stop and she opened her eyes. Anna stared into ice blue eyes and decided that this was neither twin.

This was Queen Elsa of Arendelle. A daughter, a sister, a lover…a murderer.

"Never take a first dance with anyone other than me again next time," Elsa whispered after their dance ended and Anna was balancing on one leg as Elsa held her in her dipped position.

"Y-yes, my Queen," Anna whispered back.

Anna would do as her Queen asked. She would be loyal as she was brought up to be. Long live Elsa of Arendelle. Long live the Queen.

After the ball, Anna found herself pressed roughly against the door to Elsa's room. The queen was kissing over her neck and fumbling with the handle. Anna was just glad this hall didn't have any nobles housed there.

The door swung open and was quickly kicked shut. The princess gasped as she was thrown onto the bed. Elsa was at her throat again and the princess could smell the heavy scent of wine on her lips as they kissed over hers.

"My sweet princess Anna, I love you from the bottom of my heart," Elsa purred and smiled as she nuzzled her sister's neck. "I love you more than I love myself. I love you endlessly."

"I love you too Elsa," Anna panted softly. She had a glass or two herself, insistence of Elsa for her to have a taste. The princess gasped as she felt cold hands start to remove her dress.

"A-are you sure you want to do this now? We both have had wine to drink," Anna gasped, her body was heating up.

"I've told you how much I love you…" she said, and a dark shadow haunted her eyes. "But words are meaningless without action. I want to show you how much I love you so you never, ever have cause to doubt it," Elsa said, her voice full of conviction and something that Anna couldn't quite understand. Something was going on in Elsa's mind that wasn't for her to know.

However, as Elsa let her eyes roam over Anna, she smiled a pure, loving smile and kissed her before pulling her dress off. Anna lay there in just her undergarments as she watched Elsa remove her own dress. Anna swallowed hard. Who was she to deny this? She craved her sister's touch. She craved her approval, her love. She craved everything about her. The realities and horrors of the world did not change that.

The undergarments didn't last long as it joined their dresses on the floor. Elsa moved to be between Anna's legs. She enjoyed eating her beloved princess out. It wasn't long till she had Anna moaning for her and gripping her hair. Something in Elsa snapped so to say, she felt this bubbling darkness creep up.

Anna gasped and felt her eyes roll back into her head and for all the will power in the world she held she could not tell you what unfolded the rest of the night. All she knows is that when her senses returned to her, her body ached in both pain and tiredness. All she could do was relax into Elsa's embrace.

Elsa smiled to herself and admired her handy work. Bruising and light scarring, bite marks and claw marks littered the freckled princesses body. She claimed her whole heartedly. This was all her and her alone.

She's won.

She has everything she could ever ask for.

Was that enough?

Elsa closed her eyes and rubbed her temple at the piercing pain that flared up briefly along with the angry yet dead and glassy eyes of her twin.

Will anything ever be enough?

Monster.

Murderer.

Usurper.
