After spending the rest of the night informing the Devil May Cry demon hunters of Mundus and his latest plan to conquer the human realm, and a mouthful of a rather delightful human meal called 'pizza', Aspasia and Ares were shown to a room within the building, courteous of the group's informant, a Mister J.D. Morrison.
The building itself hadn't been all that impressive, but the bedrooms certainly left much to be desired, especially by a Countess's standards. Nero had been the one to show them to a bedroom that belonged to a human girl, Patty, at one point. Apparently she had moved out, yet Dante didn't have the heart to change her room. She didn't know whether to be surprised or not that the second son of Sparda had bothered protecting a human girl in the first place.
The room itself was fairly decorated in such a stereotypical young human girl appearance that Aspasia nearly rejected it outright. Ares seemed even less thrilled. She was almost tempted to make him stay in the room by himself simply because his nose twitched in irritation.
How much of the room had this mysterious Patty-girl really decorate? When the twins requested separate rooms, they were informed that all the rooms were already taken, and Vergil's wasn't negotiable.
From what she understood, Dante, Vergil, and Nero each had their own rooms, whilst Trish and Lady usually shared or traded off between the remaining two rooms with Nico. She supposed that being related to the owner of the business had its advantages.
The alternative was that one of them could sleep outside in the van. Ares had almost accepted the offer if it wasn't for the warning about all the anti-demon traps that could go off within it without warning. Ares had been reluctant after that, claiming that just because he could heal from it didn't mean that he was willing to put his life at risk for no reason.
Aspasia cast her eyes to the small bed. How it had fit the girl's body, she didn't know, nor did she ask. Beside it was a rather cute wooden dresser, a full-length mirror and a small cactus that was somehow still alive. Compared to their rooms back in the underworld, the siblings had fallen far.
Ares didn't seem to mind, not with the way he casually sat on the edge of the bed and threw one leg over the other. "So, what's next sis? Do we just sit back and braid each other's hair and call it a day? Oooh, can we watch something on those things the humans call a TV? I've always wanted to try it."
She rolled her eyes. Leave it to Count Ares Sanguinem to adjust to a new environment as if he was simply switching his preferred breakfast cereal. She knocked his leg back to the floor.
"Show some respect. This isn't your room."
"Sorry," Ares said with that childish pout he always wore on his face so well. She nearly smiled at it. Nearly.
As much as she wanted to, she couldn't blame him for his excitement either. It was their first time leaving the realm of demons, and for the realm of humans no less. She would have laughed at the idea if it wasn't her own. Ares had been anxious about her plan, but he hadn't pressed her on the details of it either. That was one thing she was grateful for at least.
"Do you think we'll be able to get one of those though? A TV, I mean," Ares asked, looking up at her through his ebony coloured hair. A smile drifted to her lips as she placed her hand on his head, covering his eyes beneath her palm.
" We shall see baby brother. We shall see."
