Hello everyone.

I know that it has been a LONG time since I made an update for this story. I kinda just stopped writing, it also didn't help that my computer had an update and just stopped working. But I decided to make an update and while I'm not frequent with updates, I'll try to make some updates to this.

The reason why this says Chapter 10 is because from what someone point out, I forgot something. I looked it up and I did forgot something. So I'll be working on it.

To chipsandfish2: How he sees the environment with the white energy, imagine black everywhere, with certain things drawn with a white outline.

I don't own Black Clover, but you knew that.

THE BLIND SWORDSMAN

CHAPTER 10

In the middle of the forest, there the man stood.

"...Wha…"

The man was in shock as he stared at what was in front of him.

In front of the man was a collection of buildings made out of stone. But these buildings were strange, positioned in weird ways, with some of them sticking out of the ground.

"WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?!"

At the Black Bulls' Hideout

Asta was in his room, sitting on his bed with his katana in hand.

'Ok, think. How did I do it?'

Asta was thinking how. How did he do that? How did he cause that one thing that allowed him to see the environment?

He thought back on the day when he did it, the day when Noelle's magic went wild and he had to stop it. He remembers being launched in the air many times. And welcoming Noelle to the team. He was thinking real hard until he remembered a crucial part.

When he was first launched, he landed by stabbing his sword in the ground. As he stabbed the sword and slid a few, he remembered the white energy being active during that time.

'That's It!'

Asta stood off of his bed and held his katana up. He then concentrated the energy into his sword. As the katana turned white, he was about to stab the floor but stopped. He didn't want to stab a new hole in the floor. Especially since he just cleaned it.

'Damn it! Now what?'

Now at a loss of thought, Asta put his arm down and tapped the floor with his katana on accident.

When he tapped the floor, it happened.

The energy burst outward in the room. Instead of the forest, he saw the inside of his room. The bed, the dresser and the mirror that came with it, The Anti-bird, now named Nero, that followed him from the entrance exam and the pattern of his floor. It also lasted a bit longer than when he was outside that day. Asta was intrigued for the second time this happened.

'Woooah.'

As the energy faded away, his attention was directed to the knocking on his door. He put his katana away and walked to the door. He opened it and it was Charmy, ready to lead him to the dining hall.

As everyone was doing whatever they usually do, Yami walked in.

"Hi everyone, I have some news." Everyone turned their attention to Yami. "A man has reported seeing a weird building on the border of a hostile country. By the way that sounds, it seems like he has discovered a new dungeon."

Everyone was quiet for a few seconds.

"A DUNGEON?!

"Are you serious, Captain Yami!?" Magna asked.

Asta "looked" at them with confusion. "What's a dungeon?"

Magna turned to Asta. "Whaaa?! Are you for real?! You don't know what dungeons are?!"

"Nope."

"Dungeons are like ancient tombs. They hold things left by people from waaay back. Sometimes they got methods of ancient magic and super-valuable magical items! They're awesome!"

"That sounds awesome!" Asta stated as his eyes had stars in them.

"People back then also set some crazy and dangerous traps for those out for their things. Which is exciting!" Luck said in his cheerful tone.

"That sounds less awesome."

"Because of the danger, the relics aren't usually stolen. Which is why the magic knights always explore them." Vanessa stated.

"Especially this dungeon." Yami stated. "Due to the location of this dungeon, this has to be done perfectly so what's in there doesn't be stolen. By the way, I hear people have found magic items powerful enough to change civilization and others became able to use ultimate magic."

"Cool! Let me go!" Asta asked him with stars in his eyes.

"I was going to anyway." Yami holds up a piece of paper. "The wizard king specifically asked for you to go."

Asta was excited that the wizard king had chosen him for this mission.

After what was said and done, Yami sent him, along with Luck and Noelle, on their way to the dungeon.

"How do you suppose the wizard king knew of Asta?" Magna asked his captain.

"The boss sees things we can't. Plus he's weird."

"I wonder if they're going to be okay." Vanessa said in concern.

"Dangerous, important missions are what make newbies surpass their limits and grow. Probably." Yami assures them. "Plus, Luck is with them, they should be fine. Aside from Asta's ability so far, Luck's ability to detect mana is off the charts. He's better than most nobles. If it wasn't for his busted personality, All of the other magic knights would have been fighting for him." Yami stated with a small laugh at the end.

"It's his personality that got me worried." Magna added.

With Asta, Luck and Noelle

The three magic knights were walking down a pitch black hallway of the dungeon.

"Urgh! I can't believe you broke the lantern!" Noelle complained to Asta.

"Hey, nobody told you to throw it at me." Asta stated.

"I TOLD YOU TO CATCH IT!"

"...HOW?!"

"Hey, is this it?" Luck said as he pushed down a door, revealing a doorway.

As they walked through the doorway, it revealed a room. The room was enormous and was set in a very abstract way. The water was running on the walls while in a perfect stream leading to the water on the ground and there are other doorways and windows to other rooms.

"Wow! What is up with this place?" Noelle asked.

"It seems that this place has been warped by magic." Luck stated before he sensed the mana in the room. "The mana floating in this room is stronger than what's outside."

"I've never seen a place full of mana before!" Noelle added.

"Really? I couldn't tell." Asta asked.

"Wait, you don't see the mana in this area?" Noelle asked with a bit of concern. "I thought you could see mana."

"I can, in a way, but not mana from the environment. I'm not sure why it works like that." Asta said as he started walking around. This got Luck thinking.

"Here's what I think." Luck said, catching Asta and Noelle's attention. "I think that your senses only put up things with focused mana in a way, Like mana from a person or a active spell. That's probably why you can't sense the environment, because the mana is all over the place and your senses can't pick it up."

Luck finished his assumption and it got Asta and Noelle thinking.

"Huh, I never thought of it like that." Noelle added, in thought by what Luck said.

"In a way, it makes sense. I have only been able to sense mana from beings and spells." Asta said. But Asta stopped as he just sensed mana from under his feet. Asta got a little nervous. "Please tell me that wasn't a-"

Asta's fears were correct. He had just stepped on a magic trap that has now been activated. Asta managed to step back before the trap fully activated, grabbed his Demon-Slayer and negated the trap.

"Nice one Asta, you found one of the traps!" Luck said with his cheerful expression.

Luck then sensed the other traps and started activating them, with Asta negating the traps and Noelle dodging them.

"This is great! So thrilling!" Luck said before laughing.

Asta and Noelle looked at Luck while out of breath. 'If we stay with this guy, We'll die!'

"Man, that Anti-Magic of yours is really something. Maybe that's why the wizard king sent you? I would like to fight in two or three years." Luck told him. "If you keep that sword out nice and ready, this dungeon won't be a problem."

"YES SIR!"

"Now then…" Luck then closed his eyes and started sensing, with his in the form of lightning crackling. With a bunch of lightning crackles, one eventually made its way into one of the high-placed doorways.

'I knew it. There are others here!' Luck then had a smile on his face. 'And the strongest one is…'

Luck's grimoire activated and Asta sensed eagerness in his energy.

"Luuuck, what are you doing?"

As Asta asked the question, Luck responded by activating Lightning Creation Magic: Holy Lightning Boots And started flying to one of the doorways. Asta and Noelle looked at him in confusion.

"Sorry, something came up. You guys go ahead and explore the dungeon." Luck said, with a face that screams eager to battle. He then bounces off the walls and into the doorway.

"What is he doing?!" Noelle shouted before looking at Asta, who had his eyes closed. "What are you-"

"He's gone." Asta stated. "He must have sensed other people here."

"Well, why didn't you?"

"I can't sensed that far yet." Asta answered. "So I guess it's just us then."

"Yeah, you're right." Noelle responded before blushing at what she realized.

'It's just me and Asta. Alone.'

Then all of the sudden, Noelle gets wrapped up by something. She looked at what has her wrapped up and it was a trap that has summoned a high-level plant spell. Asta used his Demon-Slayer to cut Noelle free from the plant's vine, but before he could do anything else, the plant creature caught him and caught Noelle again.

'Uh oh…' Asta thought of sudden doom from him and his companion.

That was until he and Noelle were saved by tons of blades impaling the plant creature and freeing them both. As Noelle looked at the dying creature with the blades impaled everywhere on it, she wondered what was that accurate and powerful spell and who threw said spell.

Asta started to sense the spell that killed the monster. The energy felt familiar. So did the magic attribute. Asta then sensed three people walking into the same room as him and Noelle. Two of them were unknown to him, but once he sensed the middle one, it hit him.

"And now... I returned the favor..."

He knows who has saved them.

"Asta!"

"Yuno!"

And that was Chapter 10. How you enjoyed it and until next time, see ya.
