Meanwhile… Back in the palace…
It was now daytime, as the palace was now illuminated by the sun again as the Pharaoh was walking around, wondering if the meeting is over with, and if his daughter said yes.
He was a Red Hedgehog, with a swirly medium length beard. He was also a little obese, but still mobile, and he looked to be a friendly Hedgehog, if a bit stubborn. Sorta like a Jafar type of look if he was nicer, and was a Pharaoh. He also wore rings on his fingers, a Pharaoh's bird crown of a hawk, blue curved shoes, and a Pharaoh's robe.
And he was accompanied by one of his Viziers. A bright lavender-furred cat, with gold eyes, a small black nose and a white-furred muzzle. She has triangular ears with peach-colored canals and a long tail with the end frayed and violet. She also has four plumes of hair with violet tips done up in a high ponytail with a red hair tie. She also has a red oval gem on her forehead, resembling a Bindi. She wore a purple tailcoat with rose trim at the bottom, a gold collar, a guard's helmet, and baggy pants. Her bust size; is a DDD-cup.
Her name was Blaze. A loyal Vizier to the Pharaoh, and also one of his top guards that protects him well.
And she was now beside him as she too waited for the meeting between prince, and princess to end, and see if the princess is saying yes. And if the prince was going to be leaving with a smile on his face.
Reality ended up ensuing however, when Bartleby, the prince that Sonic met earlier, ended up swinging the doors open, and was walking away. By the pace of his walk, and by the frown on his face, he obviously failed.
"I've never been so insulted in my life!" He said, walking away. Much to the Pharaoh's unpleasant surprise.
"Wha?! Bartleby! Surely, you're not leaving too s-soon!" He said nervously.
Then he noticed that Bartleby's pants, had a huge gaping hole in the seat section of the pants, showing his boxers that were white with red hearts on them. "Good luck marrying that female dog off!" He said on the way out.
Blaze rolled her eyes at his behavior, hiddenly feeling grateful that the princess didn't end up saying yes to that annoying bastard's proposal, while the Pharaoh was starting to fume at what he knew happened between him and his daughter, before he was now marching to the courtyard where the princess should be, with Blaze behind him.
"Amy!" He said on his way to the princess' room.
Once there, after entering the room, he saw that it was empty, but there were signs that the courtyard connected to it, was occupied, so he headed there, till he saw who he was looking for, being his daughter, before he headed towards the princess, as he also saw some other dancers that weren't with the others that danced in the Town Square.
One was a pink Hedgehog that was blonde, with short hair that went down above her neck, with a white muzzle. She wore a sea green belly dancer outfit that is two piece, and showed off her cleavage, while her bottoms were modest, but still showed off her legs pretty well. She also wore a jade necklace, a Sapphire bracelet, and a ruby anklet. Her bust size; is E-Cup.
And there was another Bandicoot with raven hair in a bob haircut, who looked gothic as well, considering her purple lipstick that she wore, and earrings on her left ear. She also had purple eye colors herself, and her fur was brighter too. She wore a similar belly dancer's outfit, but her top was green colored, while the bottoms of her outfit was purple. Her jewelry consisted of a ruby necklace, an emerald bracelet, a gold choker, and a sapphire anklet. Her bust size; was an E-cup.
The Hedgehog's name was Penelope, while the Bandicoot's name was Liz. The former, is a dancer, as well as a designer for dresses, including belly dancer outfits, among others. While the latter is a former dancer for the Moulin Cortex, turned his royal dancer. (But she says she frequents the club herself.)
And they were accompanying the princess herself along with some servants that consisted of other vixens, and hedgehogs, as she was in the rose garden. She was also a Pink Hedgehog with pink hair, with light green eyes and peach skin covering her muzzle, inner ears, and arms. She has a small black nose, triangular ears on top of her head, and no back spines. She also has two medium-length eyelashes on each side of her eyes. Her head quills were also combed downwards, somewhat resembling a bob cut. She also has three spikes for bangs on her head, and a short pointy tail. She wore a dress that is a striped cut-out dress that exposed some of her mid-riff, with an ornate jeweled collar and pleated panel satin skirt that showed off some of her legs, and matching beaded headpiece. Her bust size; was an EE-Cup.
"Amy!" He called out.
Only to be intercepted by a pink Basilisk, with a yellowish white underbelly, with magenta markings that trailed down her back to her tail tip, showing that it could be a poisonous Basilisk. She wore a golden necklace that held a ruby also in a shape of a heart, and looked to be at least 20 feet in length, being as tall as a Roman gazebo. While being as thick in diameter as a large submarine sandwich.
And she currently had a torn piece of pants in her mouth.
"Ah! C-Confound it, Nagini!" He said, trying to pull the piece of pants out of her mouth, with Blaze's help. Only for the piece to end up tearing in half. Much to his chagrin as he felt on his butt. "Oof! So, this is why Prince Bartleby stormed out in a huff!" He said as Nagini slithered back to Amy's side.
Who was smiling at her. "Come on dad, she was just playing with him." Amy claimed. "Weren't you, Nagini? You were just playing with that self-absorbed, pompish, good for nothing prince Bartleby, weren't you." She said to Nagini, who merely smiled back at her as Amy talked cutesy while petting her Basilisk's head.
All while the dancers, and servants were rolling their eyes in amusement at her interaction with the pink Basilisk, as they were also feeling relieved that the Princess didn't accept his marriage.
The Pharaoh begged to differ though, as he looked angrily at them, forcing them, even the princess to stop their giggling.
"Dear Amy Rose II. You must stop rejecting every Prince, and Suiter that comes to call. The law explicitly says that you must be married to a prince." He spoke.
Which, Amy echoed herself, on the 'married to a prince.' part of the Pharaoh's sentence.
"By your next birthday." The Pharaoh finished.
"The law is wrong. I should choose who to marry." Amy said in dismay.
"But you only have a week left." The Pharaoh said, nervous at the time running out.
"And trust me, time isn't on your side at this rate. A week isn't long enough." Blaze admitted.
"But you know that I hate being put into an arranged marriage like this one." Amy responded annoyed. "If I do marry. I want it to be out of love. And to a handsome, and kind soul." She said, petting one of her rose flowers.
"But Amy, it is not just the law, you see… I'm not going to be around forever." He said reluctantly. "I… I just want to ensure that when I go, you'll be taken care of, to be provided for."
"You have to understand, mighty Pharaoh." Penelope interjected. "She isn't like the other princesses. S-She isn't some trophy to be won." She spoke, as Amy walked to her fountain.
"I never even had any friends. Eh, other than you guys. As well as you, Nagini." Amy quickly said the last part after said Basilisk looked at her like she was asking 'What about me?' to her. Before coiling up to rest in relief.
"I didn't even get to leave the palace walls to interact with the common folks. And I do wish that I can do such." She spoke.
"Not to mention how bad the previous suitors were, for her. Just one look at how snooty they were, was enough for her to say no." Liz then said. Sure, she might have her moments, but she too isn't fond of arrogant folks too.
"B-But Amy, you're a princess." The Pharaoh said. "And you're my daughter."
"And it isn't that bad to become Queen with another prince by your side." Blaze said, hoping to assist the Pharaoh in convincing her.
"Then maybe I should've been born a noble instead of a princess. At least they weren't put in arranged marriages like I have." Amy complained, splashing some water in the fountain out of frustration. Showing that their convincing was failing.
And that convinced them that they were in a losing battle with their arguments, to where the Pharaoh decided to figuratively fold after some more minutes of arguments, as he was now headed back to the palace with Blaze behind him, as they both passed Nagini.
"Ra, and Isis forbid you have any daughters." The Pharaoh said to Nagini as he passed. While Nagini merely looked on in confusion.
All while Amy merely sat in her garden of her namesake, being roses, as she thought about what she could do. Until she eventually got up, and walked out of her garden, with her servants, dancers, and Nagini, following her, wondering what she could be thinking about.
"Penelope, you do design outfits as well as dance, do you not?" Amy suddenly asked.
Penelope was startled at that question, but answered. "Indeed. But why?"
"I want you to design an outfit for me. To make me look less like a Princess." Amy spoke. "I'm going to leave this palace, and explore this kingdom. And possibly the world."
Penelope, Nagini, and Liz were shocked at her decision along with the servants. They didn't think that the Princess would be so bold in wanting to leave the palace, and explore the city of Agrabah, and possibly leave the Kingdom as well. "B-But Princess, it could be dangerous out there. You could be caught, and imprisoned. Not to mention killed, or worse." Penelope said.
"Not to mention the fact, that the Pharaoh would be pissed if he learned that you were outside the palace, and he would be scared to hear that you have been killed, or captured." Liz spoke.
Amy couldn't really argue with Liz's statement, since she does have a point. The outside of Agrabah might be dangerous for her. And she could get killed from it, despite her ability to protect herself. Especially once her hammer is out. And her father would be horribly saddened and depressed from the news. And even though she was annoyed at what he wanted her to do, she still loved him. Even if she still wanted to leave the palace to explore, nonetheless.
Just as she was pondering if she should obey, and remain safe, she ended up hearing some chattering. Causing her and the others to turn, and see some people that Amy knows, coming back to the palace.
The other dancers, that Sonic met in Town Square, including Krystal. All of whom, were talking until Amy met them there.
"Hi girls." Amy spoke, interrupting their conversations as they were startled, before they focused on her.
"Oh, hello there, Princess Amy." Krystal said, as she, and the other dancers briefly knelt before her.
"What were all of you talking about?" She then asked.
"Oh, we were talking about what happened in the main square, among other things." Hertia said.
Amy was curious, and wondering what happened there. "What happened in the main square?" She asked.
"Well for starters, we were attacked by some evil minions." Carmelita asked.
Amy was surprised, and shocked at what she heard. "You were attacked? And by evil minions?! How dare they!" Amy angrily said.
After all, the royal dancers were also Amy's friends. And she was fond of them because of that. Which meant that she was also protective of them. So, anybody that tries to kill, kidnap, or even touch them inappropriately, would end up provoking her wrath.
As is the case here, as her angry aura was shown, which did unnerve, and intimidate the other servants, but the dancers were touched by Amy's protective nature towards them. Especially Krystal, and Sally.
"Who would send them after you?!" Amy asked.
All of the dancers shrugged. "None of us knows. But they weren't too much to handle." Neyla said.
"Especially, since she got herself a dance partner that we met out of nowhere." Carmelita said deadpan, referring to Krystal.
The mention of the dance partner got Amy intrigued as she snapped out of her anger. "Really? And what, pray tell, did that dance partner look like, Krystal?" Amy asked curiously.
Krystal briefly thought about that. "Well, he was a hedgehog like you, only he was blue. And he was pretty fast himself." She said with a smile.
Amy was surprised at hearing that the partner happens to be a hedgehog, like herself. Only he's male and is blue. "Really? He is a hedgehog like me?"
"Indeed, he was. And he was quite handsome as well. And that's regardless of being a hedgehog." Krystal then said before describing Sonic's looks to Amy.
Each of which, piqued her interest, while also having her feel charmed at who he happens to be, and had her wanting to find the Hedgehog that Krystal interacted with.
"And I intend to give him a special dance, should we meet! Just to show him how sexy I am as well!" Carmelita interjected, as she also told the girls, and Amy what she plans to do with him.
Amy though, has made her decision. And she wasn't going to be persuaded otherwise.
But first, there was something that Amy needed to do to relax. "Thanks for the information. Now, if you don't mind, I would like to relieve some stress. I wouldn't mind having some company if none of you mind." She then said, sending Nagini to her room.
The girls ended up knowing what she meant by 'relieving some stress', which had them feeling a little nervous. But having done that before, they didn't really refuse to do it again with her.
Amy grinned at them, before snapping her fingers, teleporting them all somewhere else. Which is to her own palace that was hidden from the people.
And they were in the room of the palace that Amy frequents when she enters the hidden Palace. Which, the dancers has been to before. "Okay girls. I'm sure you know the drill." Amy said.
Then she snapped her fingers again, and all of a sudden, several strands of gauze bandages came out of nowhere.
"Oh my!" Krystal said.
"Ay dios mio!" Carmelita said in surprise.
Then before they could react, all of the dancers were getting wrapped up in the gauze bandages along with Amy herself, while they were lifted up in the air, then placed into either some stone beds, or sarcophaguses once they were fully wrapped up like mummies.
It was how the princess decides to relax herself, with the dancers often joining in. And it was like this plenty of times when Amy has some company. She does ensure that the dancers are not scared by the whole process, though. Especially when it comes to the sarcophaguses. Since some of the dancers could be afraid of the dark, or could be claustrophobic.
So, those that are, were merely on stone beds, where they would be acting like mummies. They would end up struggling, but it was more of a playful kind. And they don't struggle to try to free themselves from the bandages. While some in the sarcophaguses, like Krystal, Carmelita, Earthia, and Amy herself, would be laying inside, or moving around.
And the session always ends with them being freed from the bandages once they were all done. So, there was no risk of them being trapped for eternity, or until starvation. Instead, it is only Amy letting out some steam, albeit in an unusual way. While ensuring that they'll be freed, and back in the Agrabah's palace without injury.
So, it wasn't a terrifying time to be them right now.
"Okay Tails, it's time I teach you on how to strut your stuff and act sexy for the crowd. I don't do this often, you know." Rouge said to Tails.
"T-Thanks R-Rouge." Tails said with a blush, still trying to get used to being a lady in this world.
Both of whom, were in the club's private room, with only one catwalk inside. Which was supposed to be a practice area of sorts, for the dancers to practice their dancing, and strutting.
Which, is what Tails is going through, just to help him improve, and get sexier than last time. Sure, her dance when Sonic was there, was not bad in the slightest, but even she knew that she could do better to impress Cosmo with her dance, and leave her impressed when she dances for her privately. Not to mention bring in plenty of people to see her dance, and become one of the highlights of the club, behind Tawna, Rouge, and Breezie.
After all, Tawna did make sure that none of her dancers were amateurs. So, she approved of Sonic's request to have Tails get educated by Rouge, in terms of dancing, due to her skills, and how long she danced for the club.
And speaking of Rouge, she was the fourth to regain her memories with Sonic's help, before the rest of the group also got their memories back. And she ended up receiving her explanation on why she was here in Agrabah, and Egypt. Which she was surprised to learn, that it involved the Ruby. But she didn't mind, since she did grow to like it here. But she wasn't retiring from what she does best.
Which is, being a sexy bat thief that steals jewels. Much to the group's disappointment. But at least she was showing that her heart was in the right place, by teaching Tails on how to shake her… namesakes, as well as her rear, to draw in the crowd to the club. And for impressing Cosmo.
And that thought, had Tails blushing up a storm at the thought of doing that. But she wasn't backing down. She still had a dance to do for Cosmo after all.
And Tawna's club could end up loving her for it, and possibly give her a raise for it. Not that it could be necessary, as Sonic would be wishing them back to Mobius, once he marries the princess, or finds the Ruby. Which would result in Tails becoming a boy again.
Which is what she would be relieved to become again, as she found it odd to be a girl here. And she was certain that there would be some people laughing at her if they knew about her being a girl and a dancer here, seeing how 'girly' Tails has become. That is not to say that she hates being a girl though, since she was also a beautiful girl too. (Besides, he did say that there are worse fates than being a girl.)
And since, so far, she wasn't being laughed at for being one. And even though there was some that tried, she also has female friends. Which includes Tawna, Rouge, and even Cosmo herself that was protecting her from anybody that tries to molest her.
The latter of whom, she was glad to see again, alive and well. And she hopes that she can return to Mobius with her, when the blue blur makes his wish to undo the worlds being combined by the Ruby. Especially if it's to stabilize their dimensions in doing so. In fact, he plans on asking him if he'll do that too once he makes his wish.
For now, she was bracing herself for the lessons from Rouge. Who was pulling up the room's sofa, to watch her on.
"Now, you may look nice, maybe even pretty, as a girl, but that by itself, isn't going to be enough for those that could be pretty picky on who they want." Rouge said. "That is why, flaunting it, acting the part, and knowing what sexy cloth, and outfit to wear, is needed to attract the people to your side of the club." Rouge lectured. "Even if you're doing this to impress Cosmo, you're going to have to put your effort into 'legit' impressing her, instead of expecting her to 'act impressed' out of pity."
"I understand." Tails said, knowing that Rouge could have a point there. After all, even a nice girl like Cosmo is bound to criticize her failure to put on a good performance. And she isn't putting it past her for that, if even Tails knows that she screwed it up in performing for the club.
"Good. Now, let's get the basics down first. Sit down." Rouge said, gesturing to the sofa.
Tails sat down on her little command. "Now, be sure to watch me well, and try to follow my moves." Rouge said.
Then she did a little walkthrough of the moves, beginning with the rocking of her hips from side to side, before going with the gyrations of the hips, while raising her arms upwards, before pushing her hips a little bit as she waggled her butt along with her tail, while her wings were flapping lightly, and softly, while her hands moved like snakes dancing for their charmers, then she ended up dancing around on the pole. Before ending with the spinning flourish on the pole before dismounting. All while making sure that she's being slow enough for Tails' eyes to follow.
"Okay. Now, let's see you try it out." Rouge said, walking off the stage, for Tails to go on herself.
Who was still blushing up a storm at what she was about to do. But she wasn't going to stop as she started to try out the dance moves that Rouge has shown her.
Which wasn't as good as she hoped it would, as she merely looked like she was trying to swat flies with her tails. All while she was merely relying on shaking her rear around in admittedly chaotic motions. And she ended up falling down when she tried to spin too fast to the point of being dizzy. Which, resulted in her missing the pole entirely, and falling, when she tried to grab onto it after getting up.
Rouge ended up looking deadpan at the scene, feeling that she's gonna have a long day of teaching her on how to dance well.
But she isn't giving up on Tails. So she was going back on stage. "I'll be sure to teach you well, in the hands-on approach. Now, first we're starting off like this…" She started, after pulling up to her feet.
All while Tails was currently feeling thankful that Rouge was her teacher. She seemed like she knows what she's talking about when it comes to dancing after all.
"I don't know where she gets it from. Her mother wasn't this picky before we were to be betrothed." The Pharaoh said, looking over a miniature figure of his city of Agrabah with a somber look on his face.
All while Blaze was thinking about pointing out that she probably got it from him, considering his stubbornness, especially in his younger days. But it'd probably get under his skin or make him mad. So, she decided to say something different.
"She'll eventually come around. After all, you did come around when you were betrothed to her mother. What's to say, that she won't for the next one?" Blaze said.
Which did bring a little smile on his face, feeling that indeed, she could, if what Blaze said is true.
Suddenly, they were both covered in shadow as someone entered the room from the sunlit doorway. Which had them both flinching, before seeing who it was, that ended up entering the room.
None other than Blaze's co-vizier, whom was the same Pink skinned humanoid from the desert. Erazor himself. Whom had his dragon still perched on his shoulder.
"Ah, Erazor Djinn. My most trusted Advisor. How was your leave?" The Pharaoh asked, relieved.
"It went decently enough." Erazor said, not telling him what he was doing in the desert as he walked to him, and Blaze. "And how goes the proposal?"
The Pharaoh's face fell at that question. "Not well, I reckon. And that's why I am in desperate need of your wisdom."
Erazor merely smiled at him. "Oh, my life is but to serve you, your majesty." He said sarcastically.
Which, the Pharaoh didn't notice. While Blaze merely glared at him. After all, it wasn't just because he was her co-vizier. It was also because he was cunning, always looking like he could be up to something. And that something, couldn't be beneficial to the Pharaoh.
In fact, it could be the opposite.
But he didn't do anything that would endanger the Pharaoh, so far. And she knew she'd enrage the Pharaoh if she would try to kill Erazor Djinn without any proof of his wrongdoings, let alone arrest him, and bring him to the dungeons behind his back. So, she was merely waiting for him to slip up and expose himself first.
"It's this suiter business. Amy Rose refuses to choose a husband. And I'm at my wit's end here." He spoke.
All while Dulcy rolled her eyes at what the Pharaoh was saying. Feeling that her daughter was going through her average rebelliousness phase that ladies like her usually goes through as they grow up. She has been through that herself, after all. (And look at where it brought her.)
While the Pharaoh, still couldn't get over how adorable the dragon on his shoulder looked. "Ah, ain't that the little Dulcy wulcy on the pink mountains." The Pharaoh said, referring to Erazor's shoulder. Much to her embarrassment. (She views herself as a badass dragoness, after all.)
And to add injury to insult, the Pharaoh inadvertently force fed her some fruit. Much to her chagrin as she had to resist spitting it out, lest she angers the Pharaoh. They are still undercover after all.
Which was to Erazor's amusement. "Hahaha! The Pharaoh always has a way with adorable dumb animals." He spoke. Making the dragon known as Dulcy, glare at him.
Blaze also found it to be amusing, seeing Dulcy being fed those fruits that she doesn't like.
Erazor had to cough a little to recompose himself. "Now then, I suppose I can provide a solution to this little problem."
The Pharaoh was happy to hear that. "If there's someone that could help, it'd be-"
"But, it would require the use of one of the mystic diamonds that your daughter wears. A belly jewel. Shaped like one of these magical Gems." Erazor then said, showing a ring on his finger to the Pharaoh.
Which, happened to be another Chaos Ring. Only that one was green.
The Pharaoh was shocked. As was Blaze herself. "My daughter's belly button Gem?! That she wears whenever she practices her own belly dancing?! B-But it's been in our family for years! And it's a gift from her mother!"
"And it's her last gift for Amy as well! Amy would be furious to hear that her belly button jewel has been taken!" Blaze spoke.
"And it is necessary to find the Princess her worthy suiter. So don't worry, everything will be fine." Erazor then said, before holding his fist, with the ring, out until it was in front of both of their faces. Before the Ring ended up glowing, and making some swirls in the Gem.
Which put both Blaze, and the Pharaoh in a trance. "Everything… will be… fine." The Pharaoh, and Blaze spoke in unison, getting hypnotized by the ring. And there was nothing they could do about it.
"The belly button jewel?" Erazor asked, wondering where it was.
"In… her room. On her table." They both said. "Whatever you need, will… be… fine."
Erazor smiled at that, before heading off. "You are most gracious my Liege, and fellow Vizier. Now, go along, and play with your toys." He said as he walked off.
Once they were around the corner, Erazor was on his way to the Princess's room, while Dulcy spat out her fruit. "PTOOIE! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! If that bastard forces me to choke down another one of those unripe, disgusting fruits, I'm ensuring that they're both going to burn! Badly!"
"Calm yourself Dulcy." He spoke, continuing his walk to Amy's room. "Soon, I will be Pharaoh. Not that scatterbrained twit."
Dulcy grinned at that. "And that, is when I'll be shoving those fruits down 'his' throat." She said, before they came across another person in the castle.
He was a brown furred Mobian Coyote, with sky blue eyes and pale-yellow fur on his front torso and muzzle with cheek turfs that point upwards. He also has short neatly combed blonde hair on his head, pointy ears with pale yellow colored-canals, a black nose and freckles on his muzzle, and a tail. He wears a blue Royal Guard uniform with red trims and large, golden epaulets, baggy Pants, and curved shoes of the guards.
He gave salute to Erazor as he followed by his side. "Bonjour, monsieur Erazor. I trust zat ze time in the desert wasn't awful?" He asked in a French accent.
"Of course not, Antoine. But it was not good either. Since my minion is gone now." Erazor said. "Do pray that you won't be the next one that'll be gone once we find this 'Studded Diamond in the Rough." Erazor said.
"O-Of course, Erazor." The Coyote known as Antoine said. "With your permission to ask, what 'Studded Diamond in the Rough' are you talking about?"
"Only the one who is known as such, can enter the Cave of Wonders." Erazor said in dismay. "Which is why, we shall find him. And what we need, to do so, lies in the room of the Princess." Erazor said.
"Ze Princess' room? I know where it is." He then said, before leading them around, until they were now in her room.
Where, he sneakily got to the table that the Pharaoh told him where he can find it, making sure not to wake up Amy's basilisk as it was sleeping on her bed. Before searching on the top of it, then finding the Ruby Gem. Much to his delight, as he grabbed it, and exited the room, to his secret room that the Pharaoh, or Blaze, doesn't know of.
Later…
"So, you're telling me, that those treasures on the wall of my lair, are all mine?" Sonic asked.
"Indeed. You are a treasure hunter after all, also alongside Dawn." Shahra said. "That is your day job, but you're gonna have to keep your focus on the Rings for now."
"So, I have a day job? Just like Vanilla, and Cream?" Sonic asked.
"Indeed." She spoke.
Meanwhile, Sonic was in the alleys of Agrabah again, ensuring that he avoids the guards again, lest he ends up getting caught, and thrown in the dungeons as he conversed with Shahra on what she still knows about Agrabah, during their time together, prior to his memories coming back. (Just because she now remembers her past with Sonic, didn't mean she lost her memories of her life with him, in Agrabah beforehand, after all.)
Not only that, but he was also being told by Shahra, about the jobs that the girls of the Moulin Cortex club, ends up doing. Which included the aforementioned Vanilla, and Cream. Both of whom, did work as Merchants of Vases, and drinks, like water, or juice, while alongside Megumi, who was also a Merchant, but she sold Perfumes instead.
"And what about Ami?" Sonic asked.
"She, Katt, Miyu, and Rouge work as tavern bouncers, and guards for the taverns in Agrabah. Though Rouge is also a thief of jewels. But she's currently taking an off day for now." Shahra said.
Sonic didn't wonder why for Rouge, considering what she's doing with Tails.
"And what about the other blonde Bandicoot that danced in the club? Isabella, is it?" Sonic asked.
"That is her, alright. And she's an actress that works in theatre. And she's pretty good." Shahra spoke with a smile.
"Really? I should go see her acting performance someday." Sonic said with a grin. He was sure that Isabella could impress him, regardless of being more of a movie, and gamer kind of guy.
"I'm sure you will. There is also Bunnie, who is a mechanic." Shahra then said.
"Eh, no surprise there. She did seem smart, and I'm sure having a part of her robotized may have inspired her to be such." Sonic said.
"But She is also a fighter in the underground fight clubs." Shahra said.
"Really?! Wow, I wonder why she isn't a Bouncer then." Sonic said, surprised at the fact that one of the dancers also fought in an underground ring. Won't that leave some bruises on her? Either way, she seems to be doing well. "What about Tails? Is he- I mean, she also a mechanic?"
Shahra nodded. "And so is Coco. In fact, they do work together in her shop from time to time, but Tails is Cosmo's co-worker too."
"And let me guess. She owns a flower shop." Sonic said.
Shahra nodded, praising Sonic for the lucky guess. Which he wasn't surprised about, since Cosmo had a thing for plants, and flowers, being a Seedrian, and all. He wondered if the plants inside, are alive through her influence, but he feels that question will be answered when he gets there.
Which is when he has downtime, because for now, he was on the move, and learning more. "Okay. And what of Breezie?"
"She owns a few casinos in Agrabah. Her most famous of which, is the Golden Smile." Shahra said.
Sonic ought to go there sometime, and see what the casino looks like, both from the outside, and the inside. And maybe, to see if Breezie is there, so that he can hook up with her, if he is so inclined. And considering that she still sometimes tries to win him over, he's certain that she'll say yes to his request. At least she isn't like Amy, in that she'd be quite determined to make him hook up with her own ways. Which usually gives him reasons to run faster.
"What about Sticks? I'm sure she has a job." Sonic asked.
"Well, she indeed does. She is an explorer, like you, Silver, and Dawn. But she mainly explores jungles. And she is a merchant of the fruit that she takes from the jungles." Shahra spoke.
Sonic didn't think that Sticks would also be a merchant as well. Only for fruits, instead of the similar stuff that Cream, and Vanilla sells, alongside Megumi. He kind of expected her to either be a fighter, like Bunnie, or even a dancer, only jungle themed.
Speaking of which, he was now running when he heard some commotions not too far from him. With Shahra not too far behind him.
And once he got there, he ended up witnessing something that surprised him.
A few dancers was dancing for the crowd, while some familiar faces watched among them. A few of whom, was Krystal herself in the crowd, along with Hertia, Carmelita herself. And the dancer who was dancing with the other ones, and being tossed some gold to her direction for her performance, was oh so familiar to him.
That dancer wore another belly dancer outfit, but hers was a red colored one, with her top showing her cleavage, as well as her midriff, while her bottoms consisted of a pair of jet-black panties that could be barely seen behind the see-through scarlet loincloth. While she also had a belly button Gem that was a Ruby red color which was shown. She also wore a pair of bracelets, anklets, and a necklace, the last two of which were different shades of red, with the anklets being pinkish red, while the necklace was scarlet red. And she wore a veil that covered the bottom half of her face, but was also see-through. Thus, showing her face.
And that dancer was Amy Rose. Much to Sonic's surprise as she danced with Galaxina, Neyla, a certain other gothic Bandicoot, (Liz.) Sally, and another pink blonde hedgehog, (Penelope.) among others.
Earlier today…
"What?! My Ruby is gone?!" Amy asked shocked and dismayed at the news.
"That is what we learned when we searched your room with Nagini." One of her servants said as she was near her room.
Amy was currently dressed in her belly dancer's outfit, under her cloak, as she was now back in the palace, after she was done with her mummification game with the royal dancers.
After some designing of her outfit, Penelope was able to create the outfit that Amy needed, as she was ready to leave the Palace to enter the city. She just needed her belly button Gem to complete her image before she can leave.
Only to learn at the moment, that she was robbed of her Gem. Much to her dismay.
"Who would take her gem?" Penelope asked in dismay.
"I'm afraid we don't know. The thief was long gone by the time we found out. There's nothing we can do now." One of the servants said sadly, while kowtowing to Amy. Hoping that she isn't going to beat them out of anger. While Nagini was also feeling ashamed for not guarding her Gem hard enough.
Even though she was also grumpy, she didn't take it out on the servants, or the others. "What am I going to do? I don't want to just go out there with no belly button Gem when I look the part. It's comparable to forgetting to put on my panties for such a job. I just feel like something is missing." Amy said. "Not to mention, it's also my mother's Gem! We must find it, and take it back!"
The servants understood, as they were hoping to find it soon enough for Amy, before she can get out of the Palace. Or she may be forced to refuse, much to her dismay.
"Here, you can take my own." Penelope said, handing her a duplicate of a Ruby Gem of her own. Much to Amy's shock.
"What?! But isn't that your favorite Gem? Why give it to me?" Amy asked.
"Because you seem so determined to leave, and see the kingdom, and the world. And I feel that there is nothing we can do to stop you, so I feel that regardless of the risk of getting killed, or kidnapped, I feel that I can let you have a taste of the exploration of Agrabah, and the Kingdom of Egypt." Penelope said.
Amy was happy at what Penelope said to her. She didn't think that Penelope could end up being willing enough, to let her go outside the Palace, and go so far as to give her one of the duplicate Ruby Gems to help complete the look of the dancer. But look what's happening.
"Thank you, Penelope. I promise to give you something in return." Amy said, hugging her.
"No problem. Just be sure to give the Gem back, once you return from your time, outside." Penelope said, returning the hug.
"I will. See you later." Amy said, moving the cloak aside to put the belly button Gem on, before heading towards the outdoor courtyard of the Palace.
On her way there though, she was met by Nagini, who was gently biting into her cloak, looking saddened that Amy is leaving. Which did leave Amy feeling sorry for her.
"Oh, sorry Nagini. But I can't stay here, and have no control over my life." Amy said, hugging Nagini. Whom hugged her back with her coils. "I'll miss you. I promise, I'll come back." Amy said after their hug was ending. Now she was on her way to the courtyard, but not before turning to sadly look at Nagini. "Goodbye Nagini."
She was at the courtyard after some walking, before she was now on her way to the wall, where she was going to quietly levitate over it to exit the entire palace. But not before looking around, hoping that no one was going to see her exit.
She feels that it was a good thing that she did, since she saw Krystal, and the Royal Dancers. All of whom, was walking to her side, also wearing their cloaks. "Wait! Take us with you." Krystal said.
"What? Why?" She asked, surprised.
"You may need us to protect you. The city of Agrabah is bound to be filled with dangers, after all." Liz said.
"Also, even though we're dancers, we can fight too." Hertia said.
"Plus, once we meet the blue Hedgehog, I could tell you if he's the one I met, or not." Krystal said.
Amy was in thought, at the response. Feeling that Krystal has a point on the latter account. There could be other blue hedgehogs in Agrabah, after all. And there could be some of them that would look nothing like the guy that Krystal danced with in the main square. So, Amy felt, that she might need her help in finding him.
"Okay. I'll let you all come." Amy said, much to their delight, before she ended up levitating over the wall, with her dancers in tow, as they were now outside.
Present time…
"Amy?! Why is Amy here?!" Sonic asked in surprise.
All while she was dancing around for the crowd, gyrating her hips, moving her body around, along with her fans that she pulled out and put to use as she was now fanning the air around her, and she was letting the beat of the music in her head move around in her body, making it move in ways that tried to tug at Sonic's lustful side, and bring it to the forefront. Especially as she shook her butt for the crowd, (And him by proxy.) as well. And he had to admit, it was almost working.
In fact, he did start to suddenly see her in a sexier light than last time. Probably in the same light as Sally, Breezie, or Rouge. At least while in this dimension.
"I'm guessing that you're friends with her?" Shahra asked.
"Of course. But she thinks she's more than that. Mind if I explain later?" He asked, seeing her finishing her dance for the crowd.
"That'd be fine. I can know, as we find the other rings." Shahra said.
Afterwards, she was now walking away, with some of the gold in her pouches, as she put on her cloak again, with the dancers by her side, as she applauded her. "Why are the dancers with her, too? I thought that they would stay in the palace, considering status as dancers to the Pharaoh." He spoke.
"I don't know. Maybe they're also bodyguards for her? It is said that they can also fight in self-defense, after all." Shahra said.
Sonic was impressed that the Royal Dancers knew a thing or two about combat, even if it didn't involve dancing around. He just hoped that he won't provoke their wrath on him, knowing that about them.
Then suddenly, they split up, with Amy going into the marketplace after giving the dancers her pouches of gold. Where she was looking around at the merchants from inside her cloak. Some of which, Sonic, and Shahra noticed were the aforementioned merchants.
"Get your vases here!" Vanilla called out to her, not noticing that it's Amy, due to the cloak she wore.
"We've got juice! Tasty juice here!" Cream also called out as Amy continued to pass on by.
"Would the pretty lady like some Perfumes? Some good smells would attract the men." Megumi said to her, handing out a Wumpa scented perfume.
"Get your face powders! Good looks in makeup attracts the guys too!" Fay said, handing out a palette of makeup.
Amy was interested in paying for them all, but she felt that she can buy them later when she is done with the Marketplaces that she was exploring, and once she reunites with Krystal. All while Sonic was looking over her, seeing that she has grown beautiful than last time. He admits, he was starting to love her. Pretty much to where he was wanting to ensure that she will be okay.
Especially, since she was generously giving a boy some food, from the stand that had some apples. Which, was a mistake that was going to bite her, when one of the ticked off merchants saw what she was doing.
"You going to pay for that?" The wolf Merchant asked. Catching Amy's attention.
"Pay?" She tried to ask. Only to get her hand caught by the merchant.
"Cause no one shall steal from my Stand!" He angrily said.
Which intimidated Amy a bit. "I-I'm sorry. I don't have money." She said nervously. While she was inwardly facepalming. Wishing that she didn't give Krystal the pouch full of gold. All while Sonic was getting quite concerned for Amy.
"Then you are a thief!" He bellowed out.
"I'm sorry! Once I get back with my dancer, I can get some from her money pouch." She tried to say. She was too nervous, and scared, to remember that she could magically summon money, or zap the merchant out of self-defense.
But she then had her hand forced onto the table of the stand. "You do know what the penalty for stealing is, don't you?" He then said, as he had his scimitar raised.
Amy was quickly scared at what he was going to do, as is Sonic, who had to intervene. "No! No! PLEASE!" She called.
Just as he was about to swing down, Sonic was able to catch his hand. "Hold on, kind sir! I would like to thank you for finding her." Then he turned to Amy. "I was looking all over for you." He spoke, trying to lead her away.
She was relieved, but she was also confused at the intervention from Sonic. "What are you doing?" She quietly asked.
"Just play along." He quietly responded.
The merchant went from angry, to startled, and nervous at the sight of Sonic. "You! You're the Moulin Cortex's top bouncer. And you protect women of that club, quite good too."
"Indeed I am. And I'm thankful that you were able to find one of them. She wandered off to shop here after all." He responded.
The merchant was now more nervous, at what he has nearly done. "I apologize. But she f-forgot to pay for the apple. And she said she has no money."
"That's fine. Here." Sonic then said, giving the merchant the gold. "Pleasure doing business with you." He said, as he walked off, with Amy in tow. All while she was feeling relieved that she was saved from that situation before it could turn ugly.
"Thanks." She spoke.
"No problem Am- Miss." Sonic said. Pretending that he doesn't know who she is. "Why are you here?"
"I was… just exploring the marketplace and browsing the stuff inside." Amy said. All while she realized that she was with the blue hedgehog that she could be looking for. She hopes that it's the same one that Krystal has danced with back in the Main Square.
Once they were out of the marketplace, they were now walking through the paths, with Amy now being left to a safe place. "There you go. Safe and sound." He spoke. "Now. there is something important that I must do, so why don't you find your friend, and go back to the palace?"
"I could, but… I don't know where she is. So, I might need your help." Amy said, stopping him from leaving. "What is this something you must do, by the way? And why are you exploring?"
"Just something important that doesn't need to involve you. And I reckon that I am being curious about this place, to answer your second question." Sonic said.
"So am I! We could be like adventurers, or something! Can I join you, please?" She spoke. "Besides, I need to find my friend, so I can have her come along. Her name is Krystal by the way. Know her?"
"The blue vixen?" Sonic asked without thinking.
"Why yes! You know her?" Amy asked smiling.
"Uh… well…" He tried to say.
But Amy heard him loud and clear. "Could you be the one? The one that I heard about from her? We need to find her together and find out!" She spoke, before taking him by his hand.
"Wha? But I'm kind of in the middle of something here! Can't we find her later?" Sonic asked.
"Oh, so you want to have a little date with me, then?" Amy asked with a husky smile.
Feeling that nothing good could come from the 'date' with Amy, Sonic conceded. "Okay. Let's find her." He spoke. All while Shahra was humorously smiling at the situation Sonic was in, as Amy was trying to find Krystal.
While he was being pulled along, he was basically bracing himself. "Oh man, even in this world, she still wants me badly. This is going to suck."
"So, I reckon she's your lover?" Shahra asked.
"She wishes." Sonic said.
"But judging by your save, you seem to love her too?" Shahra asked teasingly.
Sonic blushed at that, as he couldn't really say no to her, without seeming like a jerk. "Yeah, well it's because she is a friend of mine. I can't leave friends behind to deal with their trouble alone."
"Fair point." Shahra said. While Amy was continuing to look for Krystal. (And little did Sonic know, she listened to them speaking the entire time.)
"Amy! Where are you, your maje- Amy!" Krystal called out, stopping herself from calling Amy by her title.
"Amy! Come out, mi amiga! (My friend!)" Carmelita also called out.
It took a couple minutes, with Krystal, and the dancers looking around the square, trying to look for Amy, having agreed to meet her there, once she was done exploring the Marketplace. She got to the square, like she was saying she would, and now she was waiting for Amy, hoping that she didn't get lost in Agrabah, on the way there.
Agrabah is a big place, that is packed, after all.
She just hoped that Amy hasn't gotten into trouble, as Krystal knew that she could be too late to save her from it if she was far away. Or if she isn't even aware of it. So, she was waiting, and looking around, hoping that she can see that Amy is alright, and heading to her.
"Say Krystal, can't you use your telepathy to find her?" Carmelita asked, knowing of her telepathic powers.
Krystal was delighted at the idea. "Thank you for reminding me, Carmelita." She said, before she decided to use her telepathy to find Amy's presence in the crowd.
Looking among the auras, she was focusing on Amy's aura, intending to know where her location is, so that she shall be going towards it to see if she's in trouble or not.
Only to be relieved to feel Amy's presence not too far away from her location, and was heading towards her now. She also felt that she was being followed by two people, both of whom, were friendly. So, she was certain that Amy wasn't in danger. "She's coming this way. And we might have some friendly guests with us." Krystal spoke.
And soon, she was in her vision. "Amy! Over here!" She called out, flagging her to their location.
Amy was relieved that she found her dancers, as she was now headed to them, with Sonic in tow. "Hi guys! I'm glad to see that you're all still okay!" She said, hugging Krystal to her, before the other dancers hugged her back. "Sorry I'm late. I… admit that I got into some trouble." She said embarrassed.
"Well, you were warned before, that there could be trouble that can happen in this city. You're lucky that it didn't involve slave drivers, that wouldn't care if you're a Princess." Krystal said as they were all backing into an alley so no one could hear their conversation, with Sonic in tow.
Sonic, Shahra, and Amy cringed at the mention, with all of them not wanting to know what would happen to Amy, if she met some slave owners that desires to enslave her, Amy's title be damned. "Thankfully, I never met them. Just an angry merchant that thought I stole an apple from him. Thankfully, this handsome guy saved me." She said, showing Sonic to her.
The dancers' eyes lit up in recognition, as they all smiled. "Oh hello. It's you again." Krystal said, recognizing Sonic. "Thank you for saving the Princess. How are things back in your club?"
Whom waved back. "They're… doing fine." He spoke. Still in a little trance due to the dancers' presence. All while Amy was grinning, hearing that this is indeed the hedgehog that Krystal met in the Main Square.
"So, you're saying that this is the one you all met in the Main Square?" She asked, hoping it'd be confirmed to her.
All of them nodded. Minus Penelope, and Liz, who wasn't there. But they too were smiling at how handsome Sonic looked.
All while Sonic was feeling nervous that Amy was told about him, which, could lead to him being followed around by her. As if he hasn't been chased around enough, back in Mobius already.
And what did Krystal call Amy again?
While Amy on the other hand, was excited. Then she gasped out of shock. "Wait a second! We didn't introduce ourselves!" She spoke.
Then she turned to Sonic.
"Why don't we start here. My name is Amy Rose. I look like a dancer, but don't tell anyone else this, but I'm actually a Princess of this Kingdom, as Krystal said." She whispered the last part.
Sonic was shocked at what he just heard, as he looked at both Krystal, and Shahra. The former of whom, nodded in confirmation, while the latter was also nodding. "It's true Sonic, that has to be the Princess. The royal dancer with her, is a telltale." Shahra said.
Sonic was quite shocked, before he eventually facepalmed in dismay. "The princess is Amy herself!? Gimmie a big fat break!" He mumbled, annoyed.
After all, Amy Rose is his friend, yes, but she was also an annoying friend who's crush on him is pretty creepy on occasions, considering that she continually followed him around, often glomped him on occasions when they meet, was 'actually fighting him' for her right to marry him during his journey alongside Tails, and Knuckles, before their fight against Metal Overlord Sonic, and there was even one time, during their journey in space, when she tried to have him bathe in a spring that had a love potion in it so that she'd make him fall in love with her when they fall in.
Only for Tails, and Cosmo to fall in first, and waste it on them. Somewhat leading to their love.
Sure he admits, Amy is cute regardless, and she has a heart of gold for his other friends, like being like a sister for Tails, and Cream, she is also pretty smart herself to where she has her moments of maturity, there were also times where she did save his life a few times, and looking at her now, she currently looked sexy herself to where even he notices her beauty could be on par with Breezie, Rouge, and Sally's, but Sonic sometimes wonders if Amy is a psycho when it comes to wanting his love.
So, to hear that she's the princess that he will need to marry for a chance to go back to Mobius, had him feeling both nervous, and dismayed at the discovery. He felt that he should've known that this was the catch to marrying the princess.
"Why her?! I mean, Sally is in this world, and she was a princess herself, back in Mobius. And yet, Amy's the princess that I must marry instead?! Why do I feel like my luck suddenly took a swan dive to the ocean?" Sonic thought.
Sonic could hear Tawna's voice in his head. "I told you that there's a catch, unless if any of us is in your place." She could say, amused, yet pitying his situation, and sympathizing with him.
"Well… hello, P-Princess Amy." Sonic said.
"And I'm Carmelita Montoya Fox. But Carmelita will do nicely."
"I'm Neyla. A friend of hers, Krystal's, and Foxina's."
"I'm Sally Acorn. A friend of Amy's."
"I'm Hertia. This is my eldest daughter, Galaxina. We're also friends of hers."
"I'm Penelope. I'm a dancer, and I design clothes for them too."
"And I'm Elizabeth. But call me Liz. I used to dance for your club, until I got hired to be their fellow dancer. But I'm sure you know that." Liz said. "What is yours?"
Sonic said his name after some hesitation. "I'm… Sonic."
"And I'm Shahra, the demi-genie companion of his." Shahra said, coming out of her ring. "And what brings you all out of the Palace, Princess Amy?"
"Well, if you both must know, I was getting bored of living in the palace. As well as annoyed at the suiters that tries to take my hand in marriage. So I decided to sneak out, and come to this place, with my friends, and bodyguards." She said. "What were you both doing there, anyway?"
"Well, we were going around Agrabah, looking out for the-"
"Shahra! Mind if we speak for a moment?" Sonic asked, interrupting her, as he took her by the hand, before walking off.
"What, Sonic? They could become our companions." She spoke to him.
"And that, is the problem with having 'her' for a companion. She feels that getting this close to me, and joining me on this journey would be a sure-fire way to make me become her boyfriend." Sonic said quietly.
"But you love her, don't you? You saved her, after all." Shahra said.
"I know I did. But try putting up with her antics for a day or two, then come back and ask if I love her." Sonic said, like he was challenging her. "Not to say that I hate her, I even admit that I like her, but if you were trying to stop a villain, only for her to come along, and fight you for your hand in marriage, and if in another time, she tries to make you love her, with a love potion in your Onsen, and makes you feel like you're in a minefield when her hammer is out, and stalks you all over the place, you'd probably be reluctant to have her for your girlfriend too. Besides, she's just a friend of mine that often clings onto me. And telling her about this journey for the Chaos Rings, is just giving her an excuse to follow me everywhere again." Sonic explained
"But she doesn't look harmful to me. She seems like she could be helpful to us in finding the rest of the six Chaos Rings." Shahra spoke.
"That's what she wants you to think. Pretty soon, she'll show how 'harmless' she can be, when a foe comes along." Sonic said. "Which kind of makes me thankful that we're not her foes too, come to think of it." He spoke, cringing at the thought of being Amy's enemy, concerning her hammer.
Which was echoed by Shahra, to a lesser extent. "But nevertheless, she can be our ally for this journey."
"Did you say that you're both on a journey?" Amy asked, having barely overheard their conversation, alongside the dancers.
Which was much to Sonic's dismay, as he knew what it means now that she heard their whole thing, regardless of how quiet their conversation tried to be.
"Nope. We were just passing through." He lied. "Gotta juice kid!" He then said.
Before he zoomed off with Shahra in tow, leaving Amy, and the dancers behind. Much to their confusion.
"Hmm… I'm taking a gander and saying that he's reluctant, and unwilling to have us join on his journey." Krystal said.
"Oh nonsense. He's just being shy. He'll come around." Amy said, feeling assured that he can be convinced to accept her request as she was now skipping after Sonic, with them in tow.
Sonic was now zooming on through the streets, and alleyways with Shahra in tow. With the latter feeling quite confused as to why Sonic just suddenly ran away from Amy, and Krystal.
Once Sonic felt he was safe, he stopped in a different place where he was looking around, seeing if he is safe. Before he now walked around casually, being on a lookout for the next ring that could be in Agrabah, and Amy. "I don't get it. You were told that you're going to marry a Princess back in the Moulin Cortex, and you were feeling determined to let her marry you. Now you're feeling reluctant to marry?"
"Trust me. That would be before I learned that she's the Princess. And I know I told you about my past times with her." Sonic said, entering a nearest Cafe. "And already, I can tell that this journey that I'm on, is going to sting, if she joins."
"So that's why Tawna said that there is a catch to marrying the Princess, at least in your case." Shahra said, remembering what Tawna said about the Princess. "But you ultimately love her, don't you?"
"Like I said, she is just a friend. I couldn't simply leave her to that trouble with the merchant." Sonic said, sitting at his table, and reading his menu. And trying to wrap his head around the thought of having no choice but to marry Amy. He had to admit, he was indeed reluctant to go through with it.
But nevertheless, Sonic knew he made a choice to Tawna. "It has to be me to do it, nonetheless. Sure, I'm probably going to regret it, in fact, I'm already regretting taking this role, but I don't think that anyone else could make her happy. In fact, she might suffer the opposite result through him. And I admit, I refuse to let that happen if that's the case. So, if I must marry her, if I can fix this, then so be it!" He said to himself.
Shahra was surprised, and even Sonic himself, (To a lesser extent.) was surprised at his choice he made. Shahra had a feeling that he felt more attached to Amy than even he thinks, but she had a feeling that it'd not be enough for him to accept the possibility of marrying her in this world to gain his wish. So, to see him accept it in any other person's place, had her feeling surprised, yet proud of him for proving to her that he had a heart of gold for Amy, regardless of his annoyances with her in the past.
"So, why do you run, then?" She asked.
"I… actually don't know. Maybe I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact, that Amy is the princess that I need to marry. And her presence being close by isn't helping." Sonic responded. "Not only that, but her antics are bound to slow me down on our journey through Agrabah for those rings, if we let her join. Just think about what she might do to make me her husband."
"May I take your order?" A waitress asked.
"I'll take a Chilidog." Sonic said with a smile, noticing that Chilidogs were on the menu.
"I'll take some pancakes." Shahra said politely.
Sonic felt plates on the table, causing him to put aside the menu to see the desired plates on the table alongside Shahra. Which had him smiling at the sight of the Chilidogs on the table that had his mouth watering. Which then had him digging in while Shahra merely kept her reserved pace on the Pancakes.
"Thanks." He said, as he dug in.
"No problem. Anything for you, handsome." The same waitress said flirtingly.
Which caught Sonic off guard, he didn't expect to be flirted with by a waitress. Which had him guessing that it's part of the charm of being an adventurer. So, he was looking at her, tempted to flirt back, only to suddenly see a scary sight.
Amy Rose herself, in her waitress outfit, looking back at him with a seductive smile. While there were the Royal Dancers, also sitting down at their tables.
Sonic was instantly shocked when he saw her. While Shahra was surprised to see that Amy has found them in at least under a few minutes. "You came out of nowhere." Shahra said.
Amy smiled at her. "I'll take that as a compliment."
Sonic though, quickly finished his chilidogs, before zooming out of the Cafe, with Shahra following him, before she could finish her pancakes.
He was now near a stand of hats, feeling that he can sneak through the place without being recognized, and chased through Agrabah, by the Princess, if he doesn't look like himself.
"I'm sure that what you said about Amy is true, but she can be of good help to us." Shahra said.
Sonic considered her point, as he had to look for a hat that could make him inconspicuous. Whether it'd be a large top hat, a knight's helmet, or a turban. Any hat could do for him.
He was able to find a red turban that he was able to get for free since the shopkeeper gave it away for some reason. And now he wore it as he walked around.
"Even so, she's also bound to make the mission become a hassle. She could take one of the rings, and make me marry her for it. And we might not have any time for that." Sonic said, remembering her attempt on bribing him back on an island that he was imprisoned on, back when he first met Shadow.
While little did he know, the turban he wore, suddenly had a pair of eyes that appeared on it.
And it took at least some minutes of walking, and talking with Shahra about Amy, or the Rings, when Sonic thinks he was safe. So he took it off. But kept the turban in his hands, just in case he meets Amy, or the Royal Dancers that would blow the whistle on him.
He even kissed the hat a couple times, causing it to blush.
"Just in case we come across the Chaos Rings, we should make sure that no one else is going to take them, and make things difficult. Especially if it's Amy." Sonic said.
"Very well." She spoke. "But I just know she can be of help to us."
"I'll take your word for it… later." Sonic said, feeling that Shahra could have a point. And that Amy could be of good help for him for once.
Then he ended up looking at the hat, when he saw that it had eyes. "Uhm… why does this hat have beautiful eyes?" He asked Shahra while looking at the hat.
Just as she saw the hat that Sonic had, it suddenly floated in the air…
and transformed into Amy herself. Who then got closer to Sonic's face.
"Do tell me more, about my eyes." She huskily said, before smothering him in kisses.
It was admittedly, a pleasant feeling for Sonic. But he never forgot who was kissing him. And he was reminded of what he also learned about the princess that caused him to get shocked.
Amy is the Magical Princess that he must marry, as Tawna said. Which should mean that she has powers. So if that was the case, he was also feeling horrified. Since Amy has powers, then it could mean that she could actually keep up with him with her magic.
He felt that he had to try though, as he zipped away, leaving her falling onto the ground. Before she looked on in annoyance.
All while Sonic was dashing around until he came into a shop full of carpets, where he ended up hiding in one of the carpets.
"She was a magical princess! How did I forget that fact?! Now escaping from her is probably going to be much more difficult compared to last time!" Sonic harshly whispered.
"You mean that it was easy to run from her, last time?" Shahra asked curiously.
Sonic nodded. "She isn't as fast as me. So, when I get chased, I usually get away. But here, I feel that it's going to be hard to run from her. Hopefully it's possible to hide at least."
"Seems to be very possible. I like this hiding place quite well, nobody is finding us here." Amy's voice sounded, causing Sonic to turn, scared.
…as he saw that Amy was in the same hiding place with him, and was smiling at him. And the Royal Dancers were also nearby, as they were looking at the carpet that they were both in. While Penelope was looking around at the designs, wondering which would go well with her outfits.
"Could it be the red ones with the gold Fleur de Lis' in a pattern? Or the ones with the swirling vine patterns? Or the Oriental designed one?" Penelope asked.
Nobody answered, as A moment of silence ended up filling the room as Sonic was looking at Amy. Who was now looking deadpan when she knew what'll happen next. "Yell and run."
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Sonic sounded as he dashed off.
"And there he goes." Amy said deadpan. Before following him again.
Now Sonic was running through the alleys, trying to find a way to his lair, and hopefully, none of the dancers, or Amy, can find him there if it is hidden enough.
"She can't catch me, as long as I keep on running!" He said to himself as he dashed onwards, avoiding crashing into anybody.
"This is getting ridiculous! You know you must marry her, sometime later!" Shahra said.
"I know! I know! And I'll make sure that I eventually will!" He spoke. "But those rings must be found if we need to fight that evil Vizier! And knowing her, she'd bribe me if she has one!" He spoke as he continued to run fast.
As he ran though, he saw that ahead of him, there was a line of people that was blocking his way. And he felt that he was being followed behind him. He focused on the front first though, as he ended up skidding to a stop to avoid crashing into them.
Once he stopped, he saw, that those were the Royal Dancers in front of him. And they seemed to be smiling huskily at him.
And looking behind him, he saw that Amy was there. And she was unwilling to let him go, now.
"So let me get this straight. You're on a journey to gathering Chaos Rings, so that you can stop an Evil Vizier." Amy guessed. "May we all join you?" Amy asked excitedly.
Seeing that he's at an impasse and seeing that he has no way out of this situation without getting covered in either lipstick, or bruises, Sonic felt that he had no choice here. He has to let Amy come with him.
"Okay! Okay. You… you all can come with me on this journey." He spoke.
"Really?" Amy excitedly asked, as was her Royal Dancers.
Sonic nodded, confirming her hopes. "I mean it. You can come." He said.
Amy squealed in happiness, as she smothered him in kisses, while her Royal Dancers were also happy to follow Sonic, and Amy too. All while Shahra was relieved that Sonic eventually accepted Amy's request. She was sure that the princess, and her dancers would help them well.
And she hiddenly thought that she was cute with him, after all.
Once the kisses, and hugging was over with, Amy was now ready to follow him, alongside her dancers. "Now, where do you plan to go, to find the next ring?" She asked.
Shahra had to use her senses for a moment before she got something that had her smiling. "I sense one that is in the Sand Oasis. It isn't far from Agrabah."
Sonic was relieved that he had Shahra to help him, regardless of Amy's presence, along with her dancers. But if she is indeed going to be of good help with her magic, then Sonic may reconsider his thoughts about her joining in. "What are we waiting for then? We ready?" He asked.
"Ready." Amy, and the dancers said in unison.
Sonic felt that his journey for the rings, is getting interesting. Even if he felt, that he's back in the book of Aladdin at this point, only Amy is with him, and is a princess with her dancers. He just hopes that they won't get into severe trouble.
Especially, if Erazor Djinn might be around too.
And done.
It seems that Amy is Sonic's companion for this journey, along with her dancers. Regardless of his annoyances with her in the past. But he'll come around.
Just to let you guys know, I ultimately like Amy with Sonic, even if I admit, I like Sally with him too. (Sally is so underrated I.M.O.) Which is why, Amy is going to be Sonic's main love interest in this story later on.
Also, I bet you're wondering this question for Neyla. "Who's Foxina?" Well, I'm sure you may know who she may be, but I'll leave the answer for the next chapters ahead.
And of course, this is where there's also going to be influences from Sonic and the Secret Rings, that is getting put into this story, so that this won't be solely a retelling of Aladdin.
