Sonic was waking up from his sleep, expecting that he would be back in the Moulin Cortex, and waking up near Amy. (Something that he'd never imagine happening back in Mobius.) Only to suddenly see that he was in a new place that he didn't recognize.
It was a Royal Bedroom that he was in. Fit for a king, as he was laying in a king size bed. And the room, itself didn't look Egyptian in design. Which had him wondering what he was doing here.
"This doesn't look like the Moulin Cortex. I don't even think that I'm in Egypt." He thought.
In fact, he started to see, that this looked familiar. Like he was back in the home that he remembered dreaming about. Being so high class, and fit for a King of Mobius.
"Why am I here? And how did I get here?" He wondered. But he was for some reason, relieved to be here. "Either way, this looks nice." He then thought.
Then he got out of bed, as he looked around, seeing that there was a window that was nearby, which showed that they were open, and showing a futuristic world, complete with flying cars, neon lights, and signs, bright lights that can be seen through the windows of the nearby buildings. Definitely what he'd expect whenever he thinks about what the future would look like.
Then he ended up looking around at his room, before going to an end table, where he saw a picture frame on it. And looking into it, he was pleasantly surprised at what he was seeing.
A wedding picture. Of himself, and of a certain girl that he loves.
Not only that, but another picture that was near the one that he held, happened to be a family picture, with him, Sally, and a pair of kids that looked to look like himself, and Sally, only with different styles of hair for the girl.
He felt, that they had to be their children.
Then he suddenly heard a door open. Causing him to turn, and be pleasantly surprised at who he saw.
Queen Sally Acorn herself. Whom was getting out of the bathroom, towel clad, likely since she just got out of the shower, when he noticed him. Which had her smiling at him.
"Good morning, my husband." She said huskily with a smile.
Sonic returned his own smile to her. "Likewise, beautiful. It's nice to be with you." He said, coming to her for a hug.
Which she accepted, as she returned his hug with her own. "Likewise. Handsome." She said, huskily smiling at him.
After smiling at each other, Sally proceeded to take off her towel in front of him, showing her naked body to him like she did alongside Carmelita. Which he expected, as he watched her starting to get dressed up in her clothing.
After that, she was grinning sultrily at him as she held out her hand. "It's time to go to our room. Meet our friends there. As well as our kids." Sally said.
"As you wish, my love." He said, taking her by the hand as he was led to his throne room.
On his way there, he looked around in the halls, seeing how royal they looked, despite looking futuristic as well, showing that they were both in the future. Not only that, but they looked around, and saw that the hall was indeed long, showing that they could be in a castle with her. Just like in a dream that he remembered being in.
Which is the one that he hoped to have once he married Sally. Which he knows can happen regardless of any complications in his relationship with her. And that was without Amy, among the others like Breezie, getting involved in it. But they were still able to be close to an item.
At least, until her robotization. But they were able to turn her back. And their relationship got better from it.
Until he was sent to Egypt. But now, it seemed that he was out of there, and was now here for some reason since he had yet to marry Amy, or get the Ruby.
And that was okay with him, as he was now on his way to the throne room, with Sally in tow.
Once they were near the doorway to the throne room, Sonic let Sally enter the room first in a polite gesture, much to her coy delight as she entered the doorway, and was walking in the room, with Sonic following her afterwards.
Or at least, he tried to. When, without any warning, the floor suddenly gave out from under him. And he was now falling through the white void.
"WAHHHHHH!" He yelled out as he fell, while everything around him faded into white. Including what used to be his hall from above him.
Now he was going through at least a few minutes of falling downwards, almost feeling like the brightness of the void could blind him. Until he suddenly fell onto a floor. Which, happened to be made out of sand.
Shaking his head, he learned that he was in a desert. And as to be expected with deserts, it was getting so hot for him.
"Oh great. It's so hot, it's like I'm burning up." He said to himself, as he was starting to walk through the desert. Which was where he first noticed himself, and what he was wearing.
Which was a loincloth. And it was the only thing he wore, as he had nothing else on. Not even shoes.
Which meant that he can feel the heat of the sand under his feet.
"Oh dang it. I'm really burning up." He said, continuing to walk in the desert, before deciding to run, hoping that he can run out of the desert in quick fashion, so he won't burn up. But not before picking up some sort of note that he came across, seeing that it said that it was from a god named Horus.
Who was punishing him, according to the note, by making him walk through the desert, while his sun keeps on burning him. Much to his nervousness as he wondered what he did to provoke the punishment, as he started to run fast.
Unfortunately, as if the desert is really large, he hasn't found the end of the desert. Just more sand to run on. Much to his chagrin since the sun was continuing to shine, and heat up the desert. And him, much to his dismay.
Fortunately though, he was able to find an Oasis. Which he hoped, would cool him off, and give him water. Even though he sees that he is forced to swim in it to cool off due to the fact that it was a large lake as well. Even though he decided to dunk himself into the shallow water.
"Whew. Finally, some reprieve." He said in relief as he got in the water.
Which, for some reason, he was able to swim in as he paddled his way through. Much to his surprise when he noticed.
Nevertheless, he was relieved that he was getting cooled off in the water, as he was peacefully swimming, hoping for the sun to either cool down, or set downwards into the horizon so that the desert that he is in will cool off.
Little did he know however, he was now on the radar of another god, Sobek. And he had a nasty surprise for Sonic in the water.
As Sonic paddled his hands and feet in the water, he was had a bad feeling about his current situation. As he felt that he was not alone.
Which caused him to look around, wanting to see that this was only his imagination, and he is the only one in the Oasis, and he is swimming in peace.
A splash ended up showing that it wasn't the case, as he was flinching, and briefly squealing, before looking at what was in front of him.
Or, who was in front of him in this case. And it was Krystal, who was here in front of him. And like in the shower, she was naked.
"Krystal? What are you doing here? And am I dreaming?"
"Yes. But listen, you must get out of this Oasis! And quick!" She said in alarm.
"Why should I- wait! You mean…?" He then asked, starting to know the answer.
Sure enough, a bunch of splashing was sounding around them both, showing that there was a bunch of crocs that was around them. Causing Krystal to squeal in fear as she was leading Sonic through the water, trying to save him, and go to the other side of the Oasis.
Which wasn't easy considering the crocs that they had to swim around, trying not to get eaten together. There were even some close calls, with either Krystal, or Sonic barely feeling the jaws just inches away from their flesh.
It was a large lake though, and it was taking long for either of them to get out of the lake. Which is why, Sonic decided to use his super speed to zoom out of the lake, which would allow him to run on the water. Soon, he was dashing on the water like a ninja, before heading for the exit out of the water with Krystal in his arms in bridal style.
Now all he needed to do is keep running and dodge any crocodile that tried to dive out of the water to eat him, or Krystal. Which he did good at, as he kept on running, and was looking for the end of the oasis lake that he could run to. All while Krystal was blushing at being in his arms, yet she also smiled.
It took a minute, until he was now on the other end of the oasis, until he was now running out of the oasis, and to greener pastures with Krystal in his arms.
Once he was sure that none of the crocs were pursuing him, and Krystal, he was now sitting down on the desert sand with her, as they were trying to catch each other's breaths. While Sonic was blushing at seeing a naked Krystal with him in the desert.
"Okay. Now that it's over, what are you doing here?" Sonic asked.
Once Krystal caught her breath, she was able to respond. "You're in a dream Sonic. A nightmare. Where the gods of Egypt are punishing you." Krystal said, concerned for him.
Which confirmed Sonic's thoughts, that he could be dreaming. "Okay. So, I must be in a dream, considering that I was originally in my happy place, only to end up here. But how were you able to enter my dream?" He asked.
Krystal smiled at him in response. "Remember what I told you? About my telepathy? This is another ability of mine. I can sense and enter people's dreams. Including yours. Among other powers that I have." She spoke.
"Oh." He then said casually, feeling that he should've expected this. "So, why are you here, then?"
"I felt that you were probably in a nightmare if judging by your emotions. So, I came here, trying to help get you out from it."
"Well… thanks for the help. But how can I get out? How do I wake up?" He asked.
"I don't know, sadly. But I'm sure we'll have our answers as we travel through this desert." Krystal said, proceeding to walk around naked in the desert with Sonic. "Oh, and don't worry. You can stare all you want. I don't mind you seeing my body in this dream. Especially if it'll make this trip less boring." She then said with a smile.
Sonic blushed at how generous she was in letting him stare at her naked body. But he decided to keep going through the desert, following behind Krystal as they walked through the hot desert.
While occasionally staring at her naked tailed, and tattooed butt.
As they continued onwards for minutes through the desert, the heat was continuing to get to them, as Sonic tried not to pass out from the heat, alongside Krystal, whom despite her nudity, and the initially wet fur, was still getting very hot during their trek.
In fact, they both felt that they could be getting more hotter all over as they kept going for minutes on end. Almost like the sun was increasing its temperature as its rays continued to beat down on them.
Which, as Krystal guessed, is cause Ra was making the sun hotter, and increasing its heat so that they'll be more dehydrated.
And considering that the desert that they were trekking through, was seemingly never ending, they felt that they could end up fainting at that rate before they could make it to the end of the desert.
"How long is this desert trek gonna take?" He asked, feeling tempted to run again if he wasn't so tired for some reason.
"I don't know… I don't even think that this desert has an end." She confessed. Now trudging through the sand with Sonic. "Why don't we… rest here a bit." She said, suddenly feeling exhaustion taking over.
"Good… idea." Sonic said in response, now collapsing down on the sand with Krystal by his side as they were both now resting on the sand for a moment, when they passed out on the sand.
Everything went black for Sonic, Before he ended up becoming conscious again as he had to blink out the blur in his vision upon waking up. Once his vision was focused, he looked around, noticing that Krystal was still nearby. (And that she was still butt naked.)
He also noticed that the desert was cooler than last time. Which made the heat more bearable for them. Much to his relief as he saw that Krystal was now getting up after also passing out.
"You alright?" He asked.
She nodded. "Thank goodness the heat died down enough." She said, despite feeling some heat, but it wasn't severe as they both looked around.
When they suddenly saw what looked like a funeral was going on, with a bunch of figures surrounding a very tall feminine figure that looked like it was giving a eulogy.
That tall figure, happened to be a human-like female, that happens to have an Egyptian headdress that looked like a throne-like hieroglyph. a pair of blue, gold, and red feathered wings that was on her arms, and was wearing an Egyptian loincloth that was white, and was tied around her waist with her sash. While her raven hair covered her chest, which hid her breasts, that Sonic, and Krystal guessed, was topless.
"Could it be? Is that the Egyptian goddess: Isis herself?" Krystal asked in awe.
"Isis?" Sonic asked. Not knowing who the goddess was.
"She's a Goddess that fulfils a couple of roles. As wife and mother, mourner, and magical healer who helps souls reach the afterlife once their mortal bodies expire. And it seems to be a funeral that she is giving out a eulogy for." Krystal said.
"Who could that eulogy be for?" Sonic asked.
Only for his answer to come in seeing a pair of images that was by Isis' sides, showing that they were images of himself, and Krystal by her. Which became clear to both of them, of what they were there for.
"Wait! She's giving a funeral for us?!" He asked, shocked.
"We are… gathered here today, in memory of the famous treasure hunting blue hedgehog, that goes by the name Sonic, and the last of the Cerinian Kingdom, and fellow belly dancer of the Pharaoh's dancing group, that goes by the name, Krystal. They were both good people, and humble souls. And in the former's case, a great hero. Both has tragically perished in the desert, and they shall be missed." Isis said somberly.
Which had them both confused. They supposedly died in the desert? How did they perish? All they did is rest here in the desert from the heat. And yet they are declared dead by the gods, or the locals of the desert that might've told Isis that, even though their presence here, begs to differ. It didn't make sense to them.
It was like a fake death prank that was being pulled on them both. But this didn't seem like a joke. Especially if Isis is believing it too.
Sonic proceeded to get up, and go to where Isis was. "E-Excuse me Miss, but I'm not dead. A-And neither is she." He said to Isis as she noticed them.
Which was much to her surprise. "What?! You're both still alive?"
Sonic nodded. "I don't know who made those rumors, but they were pretty exaggerated. I'm still alive, and well." He said. "And I have to s-say. You look beautiful."
Isis blushed at the compliment that he made. "Why thank you, Sonic." She spoke. But then she got serious. "But you seem to have faked your death."
"What?! W-With all due respect, your gorgeousness, but I just passed out in the desert with my friend here! I can't have died, let alone fake my death! Who said that I died?" Sonic asked.
Isis blushed again at the 'Gorgeousness' part. "It doesn't matter who said that. It doesn't change the fact that your death was faked. Along with hers."
"Well, I humbly apologize about that, beautiful. But you can bet your sexy tail feathers, that I haven't planned to fake my death. Especially since I have yet to die of a heart attack, once my blood pressure rises in your presence." He continued to flirt with her, hoping to get on her good side, if it'd benefit him.
Isis continued to blush with a smile. While Krystal was by his side. "I apologize Sonic, but do you believe that flattery is going to help us here?" She asked.
Sonic felt that she might have a point there. Flattery may not help him in this case. "It's worth a shot though, right?" He asked.
"I'm afraid she is right Sonic. As flattering as it is to hear you flirt, I'm afraid that I have no love for anybody that fakes their deaths for various reasons. And that is why I refuse to defend you, once Maat comes after you for your punishment." Isis said, disappointed in Sonic.
The mention of her, had Krystal feeling surprised, and shocked, before she then got terrified at what was about to happen.
"Who's Maat?" He asked.
"So, you must be Sonic." An aggressive feminine voice sounded, making him turn with Krystal at who it was.
Another tall winged female was bearing down on them both, only her hair was a reddish shade of black, likely to show how fiery she happens to be, while her wings were only green and red, and she had an Egyptian cross in her hand, and a scepter in the other. And she wore a red Egyptian dress.
And much to Sonic's surprise, by her side, was Amy Rose herself. And she looked like she was happy to see him, in a more vengeful way.
"Is that the one that crossed you?" Maat asked.
Amy nodded with a smile. "That's him alright." She said, before noticing Krystal with him. "Huh? What a surprise to see you here. Are you starting to get romantically involved with him?" She asked.
Krystal though, wanted answers. "Princess Amy, what is the meaning of this? Surely you're not punishing him too soon, you said that you won't!" She said, knowing Amy's intent.
"Oh, I'm afraid, that it was a… little lie." She confessed. "He cannot run away from his punishment, no matter what he does. You of all vixens should've known that."
Krystal was horrified. She knew that Amy would listen, and that she would be more understanding than this. Which had her wondering if this is really Amy in this dream at all, or if it was something else.
"B-But I wasn't going to run from it. I swear-"
"SILENCE!" Maat demanded, startling both Krystal, and Sonic. "For crossing the princess, you shall be forced to suffer your punishment of penal servitude to the scorned Princess." Maat said, as Amy grinned evilly.
Sonic, and Krystal was feeling horrified at that, with the former feeling that he was probably going to die by their hands.
"But… that's not fair!" He said.
"Life is not far. But get used to it." Maat said, as Amy prepared to send her wrath out on Sonic.
Who, bolted away with Krystal in his arms again, trying to run from Amy. Whom, merely grinned in response. "You can run, but you can't hide." She said, flying after him with Maat flying behind her, chasing after them both too.
While Sonic continued to run, with Krystal in his arms, he was feeling scared at what he just got into. He didn't think that he would end up being put in this situation with Amy, back when he was still running in Egypt. While Krystal was hoping that they could flee this dream too.
As he ran though, he suddenly fell through a hole alongside Krystal, causing them both to scream as they descended through the sky. They kept a hold on each other as they were falling, unwilling to let each other go. Or being precise, Krystal not wanting to let him go.
Little did Sonic know, The hole was from another God, named Hathor. And she had a surprise for Sonic, that was in the hole that he, and Krystal just fell in.
Sonic, and Krystal continued to descend, until they both suddenly landed in the water with a splash as they submerged under the water.
Sonic was surprised that he was in this situation, as he tried to swim again. But suddenly, he just couldn't swim. He couldn't even ascend to the surface as he was sinking like a rock.
Which he noticed as he tried to hold his breath, but he didn't gasp in any air beforehand. Not only that, but his screaming shortened his breath too as he felt his chest stinging, as he was struggling to hold his breath.
All while Krystal tried to swim to him, trying to save him, but she too was feeling the shortness of breath too. And despite her attempts, she couldn't reach Sonic. Even though she continued to try.
But no matter what, neither of them were able to hold their breaths. And though Krystal was able to grab Sonic's hand, she was unable to pull him to the surface as her body weakened with his own as they were now inhaling water into their throats.
It didn't take long, until they both lost consciousness from the lack of air in their lungs.
After that, Sonic ended up waking up again, hoping that his nightmare has ended. Only to look around at his surroundings. While also noting that he was naked.
He then saw that he was in what he could believe is the afterlife. Considering that he was surrounded by souls that was walking towards a direction. Then he was seeing that he was in like some sort of humongous cave that housed these spirits. And it looked pretty dark despite being illuminated by cyan colored lights, and fire that was also cyan, and bright red colored.
He suddenly heard the yelps, and screams of Krystal's, causing Sonic to look for her.
Causing him to see that she was being wrapped up in gauze wrappings like a mummy. And she was struggling, trying to break out of them but the gauze wrappings were too strong for some reason. Then she started to relax when her face got covered up, like the gauze were covered in some sort of potion that calms people if smelled.
Sonic tried to come to her to rescue her, only to notice, much to his horror, that he was tied up by his hands, and feet to what he could describe as a table, only with most of the board from the center to outwards missing. Like it was sawed out, while leaving only the edges, and the corners of the board in place, yet they were strong enough to keep Sonic in place.
And it was being raised to where it was now vertical. Much to his nervousness as he tried to struggle out from his straps, but they were tight, and strong to where he just couldn't get out. He just couldn't escape. Then he stopped when he someone walked in front of him.
Amy Rose herself, who was naked and looking at him with a seductive look in her eyes, and an evil naughty smile on her face. Like how a super villainess would smile if she had a crush on him and has him where she wants him.
And she also had some female figures that looked like vixens, cats, and wolves, around her. And they looked like a group of dominatrices.
"Now Sonic, it is time. I was waiting for this from the first time we've met." She said, starting to mount him in a Workout sex position as she wrapped her arms around his neck, and her legs around his waist as she inserted his member inside. "And this time, there's no escape." She then said as she was putting it in.
Sonic tried to retract his hips back, but he felt pain as he felt someone whipping his buttocks, causing him to recoil, and inadvertently insert his member into her, making her moan in pleasure as he was thrusting into her.
"Oh yes! More! Give your Princess more!" She yelled in pleasure as she had Sonic continuing to move his hips due to the dominatrices making sure that he isn't trying to pull out of their mistress in the Princess.
Sonic was ashamed to admit, but he was enjoying this considering that he was having sex with someone. Sure he wished that it was Breezie, Sally, or even Krystal that he was making love to, but having such with Amy wasn't a loss in the slightest. He even admits that in her good graces, Amy is pleasant to be around in this fashion.
But he isn't blind to the fact, that he was basically getting raped by her as he was getting whipped by her servants as he has sex with her. He hoped that this was only a nightmare that he was having as he was trying not to moan in pleasure.
"Go on. Say that you love this. And that you love me." Amy said, making him look lovingly into her eyes, like she was hypnotizing him as she kissed him.
"I… love… you. Mistress." He said, hypnotized as she was about to lovingly kiss him.
A certain hedgehog woke up with a gasp in his bed when he woke up from his nightmare. Before looking around at his surroundings to see that he was in a room. Which he recognized, as another room in the penthouse section of the Moulin Cortex. Something that had Sonic relieved.
"Whew. It was only a dream." Sonic said to himself.
Then he looked at his room more, remembering that he should have someone important in bed with him. Only to then see that he was alone on the bed. And hearing the shower in the bathroom that was connected to the room that he was in, he knew that the Princess herself was merely showering.
A part of him was dreading meeting her again. But he kept his focus on his goal with her. "Focus Sonic! It was just a dream! She isn't as malevolent as the dream is making her out to be." He thought, feeling some amusement at the dream, feeling that no dream like that is going to leave him terrified of someone like her, afterwards.
But nevertheless, he knew that, the dream he had, could become a reality if he ends up on Princess Amy's shit list, and has her hating his guts. Which is why he was weary of provoking her hatred towards him.
As he calmed down from the dream, a door to the room opened, showing that Krystal opened it. Whom, had a robe on, likely wearing it for modesty, even though the front was opened at least on the lower part, showing her panties.
"Sonic. Are you okay?" She asked, coming to his bed.
"I'm fine. Thank you for asking." He said casually to calm her down.
Which he succeeded. "Thank goodness that was just a dream. And not a dream of Amy's making." She spoke.
Sonic was surprised when he caught the last part. "What?!"
"Amy is able to manipulate people's dreams, as well as her own as she sleeps, to where she can put herself in their dreams to either torment them, tease them, or relax them as they suffer a nightmare." Krystal said.
As Sonic felt his face turning white at what he believes Amy has done, Krystal had her hand on his shoulders. "But Amy didn't turn your dream into a nightmare! If I know her, she merely left your dream alone, and wasn't aware of it by the time you suffered it. So, I just know that it was just a coincidental nightmare that involved her, and nothing else." She explained.
That explanation had Sonic feeling calmed down if that was the case. After all, Amy had her moments of obsession, particularly with that infamous 'hot spring' attempt on one of the planets that they went to on their journey through space. But other than that, she didn't outright try to knock him out, tie him to a chair, and rape him, which showed signs that for all her attempts at getting into his pants, she did love him in a more understandable romantic way, and not in a way that made her more lustful than rational, consequences be damned.
"Ain't that a relief. By the way, how are you doing?" He asked, remembering her in the nightmare, and hoping she is fine.
She smiled at him in response. "I'm doing good. I wasn't in danger since I would've been okay outside of your dream. I'm so sorry that I couldn't get you out of that dream sooner, though." Krystal then said somberly.
"Hey, don't worry Krystal. I'm sure that you tried your best." Sonic said, cheering her up from her somber mood. "Besides, we're both okay at the least." He said.
Krystal smiled at how true it was, before kissing Sonic on his cheek. "Thanks. Where's Amy though?"
"Here I am." Amy said, coming out of the bathroom, being towel clad. "And I hope that the dream you've had didn't scare you both too badly." She said in concern to Sonic. Having heard their conversation.
Which did leave Sonic feeling relieved that Amy was currently being calm and caring to them as she walked to them. "Don't worry. I'm fine." He said.
Amy smiled at that. "That's good. I'd rather not have my future pharaoh to be broken by that dream." She said, hugging Sonic into her chest. Making him blush.
Especially since her towel could be unraveling, at least from the top. Yet is staying in place.
Which Amy also did notice, but she didn't seem to care since Sonic was the one that was looking, along with one of her friends.
Then Amy was now whispering in Sonic's ear. "Oh, by the way Sonic, your punishment is going to come once we're back in my ship." She said, putting a shiver up his spine.
But he knew that he cannot escape from it, and he might as well take the punishment, if it'll mean that he'll be back in Amy's good graces. Which would mean, it'll be easier to have her love him, and eventually get married to him.
*Later*
After their waking up, the girls were now freshening up in the rooms of the Moulin Cortex that Tawna let them borrow, alongside the Princess, for the day. Not only that, but they were also talking. Some of which, were pleasant. But others, had some tension.
Like with Liz, and Penelope, they were bickering in the showers while in earshot of both Amy, and Sonic as they too showered. (With Sonic having permission to shower with them, and Amy.)
"I'm telling you, you can't just parade, and dance around with us with less to wear. It should be about how well designed the dress is." Penelope said.
"Oh please. You should've known that it's also about the sexy body that wears those clothes. Which would be ours. Without them, they wouldn't look as good while on our bodies, compared to a mannequin's."
"But all you're doing is putting more emphasis on your body's looks in any outfit we try out. Not to mention, threatening to expose yourself. Even you should know that it's just as much about the outfit as it is about the sexy woman that wears it. Plus, I don't think the Pharaoh would approve of you exposing your boobs to the crowd."
"And yet he allowed us to wear any skimpy outfit we want that could threaten to have that happen? Besides, we look nice, so why not show it off with these dresses? It would be like a cracker without any peanut butter, or jelly to add in." Liz said.
As Liz, and Penelope argued, in another room, Neyla and Carmelita conversated. And though they weren't bickering, they were talking seriously to each other.
"I may think of you highly as a fellow dancer, Neyla. And we may be like friends. But don't think that I have forgotten about the Punic Wars that your people, and Carthage has fought in." Carmelita said.
"And I suppose that your country isn't guilty of causing the war to begin with? If Carthage, and Syracuse simply left Messana and the Mamertines alone for Rome to deal with, there wouldn't have been a problem." Neyla said.
"The Mamertines were simply getting rid of the corrupt king of Messana, only for them to get greedy, and take it for themselves, before bringing Rome into this! And the Emperor couldn't abandon Syracuse, they were our friends! As well as good trading partners! Besides, the Mamertines should've consulted with only Carthage, and left Rome alone!" Carmelita responded angrily.
"Oh, and yet you don't seem to mind that they just occupied their city by force? Which played a part in the war happening? Causing you and your family to just go to Egypt, and become a dancer for the Pharaoh, with nary a sign of returning there, just in case you still have friends there?" Neyla responded.
"I admit that I left, but it was a pragmatic, and safe thing to do. Besides, I was too young, and not a soldier myself, so I doubt that I can be of help. And my parents weren't fighters either. But as if you're any better, since I haven't heard of you fighting in that war. Maybe since you aren't purely Roman, considering which race your mom was." Carmelita responded, pointing out Neyla's Indian blood in her veins, and considering that she's a Bengal tiger.
"Then I guess we were both practically being cowards that hasn't fought for our countries. At least in my case, it has worked out for my country, regardless of my lack of help." Neyla said, pointing out the result of the Punic War's end.
"Touche." Carmelita said with annoyance.
And those were the arguments among others that Sonic, and Shahra was hearing from as he waited for the girls to freshen up, and get ready for their second journey with their Princess, whom was showering with Liz, and Penelope, along with himself. And was rolling her eyes at their argument.
*Later*
After they were all freshened up, and after their dressing up, the girls, and Sonic were back outside in Agrabah, as they were just outside the gates of Agrabah, as they waited again for Amy to come back with her ship, and her entourage. With Shahra reunited with her ring back on Sonic's finger.
Before this, and during their freshening up, Sonic remembered the minor conflicts between the girls. Some of which, was for the aforementioned reasons. And yet, they remained friends with each other well.
Which was an admirable quality about them, that made Sonic respect them. They were friends to each other, regardless of any argument that they may have had in the past, during their time dancing for the Pharaoh, and the Princess.
Which had Sonic wondering, if the same quality applies to the girls of the Moulin Cortex.
Speaking of which…
"Hey Sonic! Sorry I'm late!" Dawn's voice sounded, much to the girls' surprise as she came, along with another lady.
Whom, was Vanilla the Rabbit.
And they were both modestly dressed up, with Dawn wearing a leather jacket that looked to be made by Dawn, while she wore a modest pink and cyan colored tank top under it. And she wore baggy cyan pants with shoes on. And she happened to be wearing a backpack too since she was going on a trip with Sonic.
While Vanilla, was wearing a modest belly dancer top with elbow length sleeves, but she was also wearing a pair of baggy pants too. Which made her look like she was gonna be coming with them too.
"Sorry that I'm late. She told me to let her come with us. And I couldn't refuse." She spoke.
Sonic was the only person that wasn't surprised that Dawn was coming, as he remembered the conversation he had with her yesterday, shortly before Carmelita danced for him. And he remembered talking with her, and Amy on that subject, shortly after they woke up, and as they were freshening up. Though he was surprised that she's taking Vanilla with her, alongside Shahra.
"Dawn?! You're coming too?!" Liz asked in surprise. "And who is that?"
Vanilla bowed politely to her. "I'm Vanilla the Rabbit. I'm also a dancer for the Moulin Cortex. But I would like to come with you guys, if so, I can ensure that I can be of help to Sonic myself. So when I heard that Dawn was going to come, I just couldn't resist the opportunity." She spoke, before she then looked around. "So, you must be the Pharaoh's royal dancers. I must say, all of you look beautiful." She said to them.
The girls thanked her for the compliment, seeing that she was a nice motherly looking rabbit. Speaking of which… "Where's Cream? Why isn't she with you?" Shahra asked, noticing Cream not with her.
"She's with Bunnie in one of her bars. Which she is staying in, while I'm gone. And don't worry, Bunnie is making sure that she's protected." Vanilla responded with a smile, confident in Bunnie's abilities. Then she came close to Sonic. "And to answer your question, I know that journeys like this can be dangerous. Even though my Cream is now older in this World, she still is my only daughter that is too precious for me to let her follow. I'd rather not lose her to this journey we're going to take." She then seriously said to him.
As disappointed as Sonic was, he ultimately conceded, since he'd probably not want to have his own child come with him on a journey that is bound to be dangerous, especially if none of them expects the danger to happen during the journey. Sure, it'd be boring to not have a fellow speedster to run with, but better that, then risking seeing his own child dying in front of him and being unable to do anything about it.
All while the girls introduced themselves to her, with each of them shaking her hand. As well as learning a bit about her child. While Sally also introduced herself. Much to Vanilla's slight surprise.
"Nice to meet you Princes- Sally. I see that you're also a dancer for the Pharaoh?" Vanilla asked, almost calling Sally a Princess.
After all, her trying to make Sally remember her old life in Mobius would probably make herself sound like a lunatic since she may be unable to help her remember her old life, so she decided to wait until she is able to remember through other means. Like through Sonic and the ring he wields. Which she feels, he is going to use, later on.
"Indeed I am. But I'm also a bit of an adventurer, like Krystal, here." Sally said.
"Ah, so you're an explorative kind of lady. I suppose it doesn't hurt to go exploring this place every now and then." Vanilla said, smiling at Sally, and Krystal.
"By the way, why are you guys here? What are you waiting for?" Dawn asked, wondering why the dancers were waiting.
"Oh, we're waiting for our Princess. She followed her around to keep her safe, along with Sonic. Now she's coming back with a little entourage with her to make our job of protecting her easier." Liz said. "And I'm guessing that you're here since it's your day off from the club?"
"Indeed it is." Dawn said with a smile. "Now I get to go adventuring. Like I should've done earlier, but there was a problem. I didn't know where I could start, and I didn't have any time off, until I learned about his journey with you guys. So, I thought I'd come along now that my break day was here. And then Vanilla wanted to come too since she was also on her break. I couldn't say no, since she is bound to be stubborn, so I let her come." Dawn then said.
Sonic knew the feeling, as she wanted to thank him for her rescue from Eggman's hands. And she didn't take no for an answer.
"If so, then prepare yourself Vanilla, this journey we're taking is bound to be dangerous. And it'll be bound to kill you, or leave you with a wound, or a scratch." Sonic said.
"I'll keep that in mind, Sonic." Vanilla said, seriously.
Before they heard Amy's ship coming. Soon, they saw the ship close by in the sky as it was headed towards them. Soon, it was now over them. But instead of beaming them all up into it, it instead beamed down a few people downwards towards the ground. Where they were shown to the group, along with Princess Amy herself.
They were the Entourage that Amy was bringing along. And she had a pink basilisk known as Nagini, wrapped around herself.
Which quickly creeped Sonic, Dawn, Vanilla, and Shahra out when they saw the basilisk that was wrapped around Amy. While the basilisk was defensively wrapping herself around Amy, and glaring at Sonic. "Calm down, it's just a friend of mine." She said to the basilisk, petting her.
Who obeyed as she looked at Sonic with respect. "Hey Sonic, this is my pet basilisk. Her name is Nagini." She said, introducing Nagini to Sonic, and his friends first. Whom was respectfully waving at her in a friendly way. Just to show that they mean Amy no harm.
Once Nagini was calmed, Amy was now ready to introduce her Entourage to Sonic. "Now, with this introduction out of the way, meet my Entourage."
One of them was a young male goat, that looked like a wizard, if the hat was any indication. He looked like his entire face was dark furred due to the shadow that covered it due to his hat, which also covered his horns. And he wore round glasses, a pink scarf, and long green wizard robes, with a black heart in the center. He looked eerie, and dark, yet his glasses, and the friendliness in his eyes looked oddly adorable.
"This is my dad's court wizard, Ralsei. He may look like a young dark furred goat, who looks cute, and friendly, but don't let his looks fool you. He's competent at casting magic against our foes." Amy said, introducing him to Sonic, Dawn, and Vanilla, as he made a bow.
"It's nice to meet you guys. So, I hear that you're the adventurer that is escorting the Princess?" Ralsei asked Sonic.
Sonic nodded in confirmation. Taking an immediate liking to him for his friendly looks.
The other person, happened to look like a female bipedal fox, with black eyes with indigo pupils. She is covered in yellow fur, save for the tips of her tail and ears, underbelly, her chest that had a bust that was DDD cup in size, and her hands and legs from the knees down, each of which was white colored. She also had purple Cancer symbols on her thighs. She also has wing-like tufts of yellow fur on her shoulders, and she wore purple sleeves that cover her forearms with yin-yang symbols on the back of her hands. And she has three clawed fingers on her hands and three clawed toes on her feet. Which gave her an intimidating look. Which had Sonic, and Shahra feeling weary of pissing her off.
"This is Renamon. She's one of my top guards alongside Blaze. And she is a tough cookie. But she is an honorable guard, and she is friendly once you become her friend." Amy said.
Renamon made a bow. "I heard about you, Sonic. If what the Princess says is true, then I hope that we'll be good comrades."
Sonic hoped so too as he, and Shahra nodded in acceptance to her. Then he saw the other member.
Who, looked like a Vixen, like Krystal and Carmelita. Only her fur was a bright yellowish-brown, while having white on her face, and muzzle, as well as the tip of her tail. And she also had green eye colors, golden-brown, white-highlighted hair that was shoulder length, and a bust that was E cup, while having a build that was a little more muscular than Krystal's, and Carmelita's physique. And she wore an attire that is a white blouse, a red scarf, and green baggy pants. And she had a sword, and crossbow on her back. Which had her looking like a professional guard.
"This is Foxina. One of the royal guards that protects the dancers. Especially Krystal. She is quite good with her own sword, and crossbow. And I heard that she's a great pilot." Amy said, introducing her.
Whom walked to Sonic, to shake his hand. "I heard that you protected the princess in the desert. I look forward to seeing more of you in action." She spoke to Sonic.
"Likewise." He said, looking forward to fighting alongside Foxina. Then he paid attention to the next member.
Who, looked like a tall human woman, with long auburn hair and green eyes, and light sun kissed skin. She was attractive with a slender figure yet having a big bust that looked to be E cup. She also wore a light red turtleneck blouse with short dark red sleeves and baggy pants, which showed her off as like a soldier. And yet she looked like she would make for a good dancer too.
"This is Belleza. Another top guard, who is also like a leader to them. She is tough regardless of being unwilling to get her hands dirty. But she leads the guards well." Amy said.
"So you must be Sonic. I heard that you were a treasure hunter before you became an escort, for the Princess." Belleza said.
Sonic nodded, as he remembered Shahra mentioning that he hunted for treasures back in the deserts of Egypt, even though he doesn't remember that. But the treasures in his hidden lair told him that indeed he did such.
"He is indeed such. And he is a great treasure hunter that I've made friends with." Shahra said, making conversation with Belleza, while Sonic was introduced to another member.
Who was also another human woman, only she is a short haired blonde who looked pretty familiar to Sonic. She also looked attractive, being slender, with a bust that is also DDD cup, and a larger rear compared to the previous human lady with the auburn hair. She also wore a blouse that was a little more skimpy, and pink baggy pants with red shoes. And she happened to be wearing lipstick.
"This is Madonna. She's a nice lady, but she can fight well herself. Especially with a sword in her hand. And she can dance well, too." Amy said in appraisal.
Ah, yes. Madonna was whom Sonic was starting to remember meeting before. She did say that she was a fan of his after she was saved once, and he did hear that she was also wanting to be his girlfriend like Amy tried to. But it was a while since they last met. Probably since unlike Amy, Madonna knew when to fold 'em, (So to speak.) and left him alone. While Amy continually tried to make him her boyfriend in the past. Which had Sonic admitting, he wishes he was Madonna's boyfriend since she looked sexy, even though it was long since they met.
"It is nice to meet you Sonic. I have to say, I'm happy that you're an ally to the Princess." Madonna said.
"And I'm happy to… be an ally to the Princess." He responded, feeling slightly distracted by her beauty.
Meanwhile, Madonna was blushing at the sight of Sonic, hoping that the Princess could give her permission to hang out with Sonic more.
Then there was another human, only she was darker tan skinned, with long straight black hair with sideburns that sometimes cover her ears and flat bangs that end above her eyebrows. Her eyes are brown colored, and she has an un-prominent nose, and pinkish red lips. She also has very large hips that seemed to jiggle with her motions. And she wore an off-white loincloth with pink stripes at the end and a pink, orange, and off-white crop top revealing her midriff. And she was barefoot.
"This is Chel. She's also a great guard, but she is a great dancer too. And she's from an unknown land that I haven't heard about, so far. Which explains her clothing, and her color." Amy said in appraisal.
"Hello Sonic. I have to say, you look like a brave adventurer to travel with." Chel said with a smile. Which had Sonic flattered at that sight. Before Amy introduced the next one.
Where there was another human woman, with long, scarlet hair and brown eyes with one covered by an eyepatch. She has a slender, voluptuous figure that isn't as tall as Belleza's, but was still sexy in her own right. And she wore Egyptian armor that covered some of her body, but showed off her bust size.
"This is Erza Scarlet. A strong guard in her right, and is the more physical redhead of my Entourage." Amy said in appraisal.
She looked at Sonic with interest. "Thank you for keeping the Princess safe, Sonic. She is a friend of mine, after all." She said with a smile.
"No problem. It seemed like a good thing to do, after all." Sonic responded. Before paying attention to another entourage member.
She was another lady, who looked like a gothic anthropomorphic hound, with a wolflike appearance. Who has a pointed, dog-like muzzle with sharp and pointy teeth, and a dark grey nose. Her eyes have red sclera with white irises, and she wears dark grey eyeshadow. She has a piercing on her right eyebrow. Her fur is white with grey encircling her face, grey patches on her shoulders, and long, voluminous silver hair swept to the side to reveal her dark grey ears, one of which is pierced with two small hoop earrings, the left which is ragged. She has a large, dark grey bushy tail with white on the underside. And she was wearing more darker cloth, being a grey chainmail top that held up her bra. And she had black armored pants. She looked like a more cynical hound, who was not in the mood for interactions.
She even looked at him like he looked into her diary. (If she had one.) "Name's Loona. Thank you for keeping the Princess safe, but it'll take more than that to gain my friendship, let alone the right to fuck me. So, try not to get too fresh with me. Or I'll fucking bury you. Am I clear?"
Sonic was taken aback along with the other girls that weren't the royal belly dancers, or Amy's entourage, all of whom merely facepalmed at that scene. "Crystal." He said, not in the mood for a fight against her as she nodded in understanding before giving him some space.
"Sheesh. She needs a chill pill." Dawn quietly said to Sonic. Who nodded in agreement.
Amy was feeling some shame at that. "Sorry about her, Sonic. She has issues. But she is a friendly spirit once you get to know her. She was nice to me before, after all." She spoke.
Sonic forgave her for that. Especially since he probably would've got killed if she was inclined to end him. Before he then focused on one last member of the Entourage.
Whom, was a pinkish-white cat-woman, with some puma-like traits. She has short white hair, a long tail, and she wore what looked like a red two-piece leotard dress that was modest, yet was showing off her cleavage, and had some shin-length red boots.
"And this is Bagi. She's a dancer, but she's also a fighter, and she's also wicked fast to where she may not be seen by the naked eye that isn't focused." Amy said.
"How do you do, Sonic?" She spoke, making a polite bow to him. While politely smiled back at her.
"Huh? She's fast? I hope to race her someday. Plus, she looks cute, I admit." Sonic thought.
Bagi thought the same thing about him too, hoping that the same could happen for her. While Loona merely rolled her eyes at the interaction. Feeling slightly jealous of her for that, since she hiddenly thought Sonic looked cute.
Then Amy ended up noticing Vanilla. Whom was also pretty surprised to see Amy. And as a Princess at that too. "Why hello there, I'm Amy, Princess of Agrabah. What's yours?"
"Vanilla the Rabbit. I'm a fellow dancer of the Moulin Cortex. And a friend of Sonic's." She said, seeing that Amy could also not remember her, until Sonic uses his ring on her, like he did for herself.
She is confident that it won't take too long, before Sonic would help her regain her memories. Along with the other royal dancers.
"Okay, with introductions out of the way, it is time for us to go to the next ring on the list. Now Shahra, is there another ring that you can sense anywhere?" Amy asked.
After some sensing, with the help of Sonic's ring, Shahra ended up getting the answer. "Why yes, for it is in the jungle that is past the desert outside of Agrabah. Which should be northwest of that direction." Shahra responded.
"Wait, isn't that the jungle that has the dinosaurs there?" Amy asked, slightly worried. "Ah well, hopefully we won't come across a dinosaur that would try to eat us while there. Either way, that won't stop us from finding that ring with Sonic. For now, let's get going." She then announced with a smile.
Before she then used her ship to beam everyone into it, before it was now headed to the direction of the jungle, where their next journey shall commence.

Also, in case you readers don't know who Foxina is, she is a genderbent Fox McCloud. Who is going to be a friend of Sonic's, and especially a best friend of Krystal's.
Also, just in case people don't know who Belleza, or Bagi is, Belleza is a character in Skies of Arcadia. While Bagi is from a 1984 anime film, Bagi, the Monster of Mighty Nature. As for Madonna, she was originally going to be a love interest of Sonic's, kinda similar to Amy, but they cut her out before she could end up making her debut.
And, as for the argument about the Punic War, it is said that the cause of the first Punic war was due to the issue of control of the independent Sicilian city state of Messana, (Known nowadays as Messina.) which was taken by the Mamertines, who were threatened by Syracuse. Only for Carthage to have them become allies to them, only for them to later have Rome come to the Mamertines' aid after they occupied the city, leading to the war. Then things went downhill for Carthage once the war eventually turned in Rome's favor.
