It had to happen eventually, Wade knows. Heath's winning streak can't last forever, but there's something to be said that he won the last few singles matches he had, then as soon as he starts teaming with Titus O'Neil again, he goes right back to losing. To Hornswoggle and El Torito, no less.

He's not that surprised when Heath doesn't call right away that night, his embarrassment clearly leaving him needing some time alone. That, or arguing with Titus enough to make their neighbors in the next hotel room over complain. Wade runs his thumb over his phone, considering calling first, when his phone finally goes off.

It's Heath and he half-smiles, eyes gleaming with some concern as he answers. "Hello?"

"Hey," he says glumly. "How're you doin', Brit?"

"Doing alright," Wade says quietly. "How are you doing?"

"Never better."

"Tell me the truth, ginger," he says, leaning back with a sigh and waiting for the inevitable explosion of frustation and grief over losing again.

There's a pause. "Fine, I suck. Alright? Happy now?" Heath huffs noisily into the phone. "I just... can't do anythin' right."

"You do not suck," Wade exhales. "You just have bad luck on top of bad opponents, it'd get in anyone's head after awhile. Heath, are you listening to me?" he demands when the silence lingers for just a little too long.

"I guess," he mumbles. "I just wish... things were better. I wish you were here."

"I wish I were too," Wade admits, casting a frustrated glance at his arm. "Soon, alright? Things will be on the right track then."

"I hope so." Heath mumbles, sounding exhausted but too lost in his thoughts to really sleep. Which makes sense, when Wade really thinks about it. Despite not getting along well with Titus, it's the main thing Heath has going for himself career wise right now, still sensitive after losing Drew and Jinder so unexpectedly, so of course he would worry about again being left in the cold as far as tag partners go.

Sympathetic towards this feeling- Wade had floundered too, after Nexus had kicked him out, which had led to him agreeing to form the Corre, during which the only good thing to come out of it was this very relationship he has built with Heath-, he grabs for a pile of papers nearby and starts to read the script aloud, knowing that Heath likes listening to him talk, enjoys taking in bits and pieces of movies that will soon be in movie theaters and on DVDs across the nation.

He pauses at some point to take a sip of water and smiles when Heath speaks up, sounding moderately calmer. "Thanks, Brit."

"You're welcome, ginger." Shifting the paper, he resumes reading.
