Chapter 2: Finding answers, More questions
What happened to Riz? Nobody knows as his dorm mates couldn't find him in his bed, and they tried finding him around the campus and the places where he hung out. And still no signs of the brown bear!
One student was eaten, and now another has disappeared! So the play had to be cancelled, while the drama students were sad. Louis looked a little miffed, but had to force himself to agree.
So despite the development of the issue, the day still went on and every student went to their classes. Legoshi did hear some students talk about seeing something strange the night before as they were by themselves that they saw some strange giant roaming around the school.
But of course, they did dismiss it as tiredness. And sparks of fire was near the theatre. were also said to just be fireflies flying by, So with the Play being cancelled. They decided try and help out and study, so if there is any news of Riz is now seen.
And there was the festival coming soon, so somebody had to go to the gardening club atop the roof, and Don gave Legoshi and Kibi the job to go there. Yet it felt like Legoshi went there before, but he didn't say anything
Getting up to the stairs, both Legoshi and Kibi were now at the gardening club. The place was filled with a load of flowers, and they both hear someone arguing about something. "Look, if you're staying here for now. You need to help with the gardening!"
Legoshi and Kibi were wondering what was going on, and if they were interrupting something. So they walked to the entrance to ask if they were in the way, and they met the only animal running the club.
It was a dwarf rabbit, and she was talking to the same little cat creature Legoshi encountered the other night! And the dwarf rabbit was pretty pissed at the creature, who was just sitting there.
"Umm, were we interrupting anything?" Legoshi asked the dwarf rabbit and little cat, both turning to their direction. Making Kibi shiver in fear for some reason, but seeing as they're not alone. he just ignored it and waited for the dwarf rabbit to speak.
"Sorry about this, you must be a the younger students of Cherryton." she said as if her argument with the cat creature never happened. "My name is Haru, and this kid is just volunteering to help!" Haru said as she looked at the creature, who jumped in surprise!
Not until Haru put Legoshi's tail between his belt and pants, with her saying that it would be distracting as they helped her with the Gardening club chores. With the wolf now noticing that there was no one else in the club.
Kibi was more curious at the little cat creature, forgetting about the rumours as both the rabbit a Legoshi grabbed some of the pots and plants. But he was more surprised when he saw the cat creature was surprisingly strong!
And with the four of them, it was pretty easy. Only to have Kibi leave without them noticing, who left because he was still weary of the dwarf rabbit, who's name was Haru. "I guess it must be the rumors..." Haru Muttered, confusing the wolf beside her.
After the task was done, Legoshi was seeing at the cat creature's cape as it jumped. Om the back, was a strange heart emblem. The wolf wanted to comment on it, but seeing as the creature talking to Haru.
The dwarf rabbit was surprised, seeing she made a loud "WHAT?!" surprising the wolf! And seeing Haru walk to him alongside with the little cat. "Chirithy wants to talk to us in the shed about something." Haru said with annoyance.
Eventually the three of them went inside the shed, which strangely had a bed. And Chirithy jumped onto the bed, although they did struggle a bit. Legoshi and Haru didn't know what was Chirithy's gender.
"What is it you want to talk about?" Haru asked straightforwardly, surprising Legoshi. Now remembering that he did save her the other night! Maybe it was just the time as it was now daytime.
"Remember that night with the fog and giant unknown creature?" the little cat creature asked. Legoshi and Haru both nodded, But while Legoshi looked at the dwarf rabbit. Haru was looking away from him, Chirithy noticed this.
"In all honesty, it happened really fast." Haru said as she still wasn't facing Legoshi and Chirithy, legoshi kept on thinking it was a dream also. But what about the other dream where the city turned into a labyrinth?
But the wolf and rabbit let Chirithy continue. "They're new to me also, but they are called Gigas. Or Karma apprently, it's still new to me also. and they've come from a faraway place called Quadratum." Chirithy explained.
This confused Haru and Legoshi, who were even more confused! Just what was going on, and what is this Quadratum place? "I lived in another dimension as you could say, but something happened to the other side and here I am!" Chirithy continued.
But with the explanation of another dimension, it still wasn't enough. But Legoshi wanted one answer that wasn't about the robotic creatures, the Quadratum place and other dimension stuff. but something else came into Legoshi's mind, and it involved Haru!
"Look, some nights ago. A student named Tem was murdered, do you know anything about it?" Legoshi asked the little cat creature, who tilted their head in confusion. "Not really, I just got here when you saw me at the fountain."
So, out of questions. Legoshi decided to go back to the club, and opened the door as he had another scene he saw. which was confusing him! "Um, look. Chirithy, i have go go back to my club. So see you!" the confused wolf then opened the door, and closed it not realizing that he struck his tail!
Haru felt like Legoshi slamming his tail at the door like that before, like déjà vu or something. But she was entertained at the wolf as he ran from he pain, she also saw Chirithy running with their stubby legs chasing Legoshi.
Days went by, and somehow Chirithy walked around the school. And no one, excluding Haru and Legoshi. (Now excluding Kibi) And somehow Chirithy wasn't noticed by the students, including the smaller students.
They sure were surprised one time when two students began fighting, and tried to attack! Making the students and Chirithy surprise, Legoshi tried to get them to calm down. only to be in the student's wrath
Luckily, Louis was there to calm down everybody. with the two students who were previously fighting (one even tried to bite the other) just leaving into different directions. eventually going on like nothing happened.
And whenever Legoshi looked at the small creature, Chirithy didn't eat. Which weirded the wolf out. But just continued on like the creature wasn't there.
So, as the week went by. Legoshi went out to town along side Bill the tiger, Aoba the bald eagle and Tao the black panther. Who needed to find some supplies for the kitchen in the building. eventually hanging out at the restraunt for a break.
"So, there is now news of Riz's whereabouts yet?" Bill asked them, although Aoba told them he wasn't found yet. Of course, quietly Bill questioned if Riz was the one who ate Tem. This got an awkward pause from the others.
While Aoba and Tao dismissed it by not wanting to think anymore of it, although legoshi did have a vision of Riz crouching as he was ready to fight him. Which made the wolf shiver a bit.
Aoba noticed this and asked if he was okay. Legoshi answered positively, but he wasn't hiding it pretty good. But they needed to get supplies for the time being, so after their lunch. They all went out and went to shopping for the fridge of the theater club.
Getting stuff for all the animals at the theatre club was easy, as they had to just get vegetables for the herbivore students, and meat subitutes. Like Tofu and fish products, for the carnivore students.
A few hours later, they were packed and ready to go. Passing by an electronics store, they saw the news. Expecting something like a carnivore eating their prey, it was something else!
"Many animals have said to seen strange creatures, and from the sounds of it. The creatures were big and robotic looking." the news reporter explained, showing a photo of a foggy scene and blurry robotic creature. Making Bill, Aoba and Tao look with skepticism.
As they turned to each other, they all talked to each other about the photo. "Like that's believable, right guys?" Bill asked Aoba and Tao, who were dismissive also. But turning to his answer, only to see he wasn't there!
"Wasn't he beside you?" Bill asked Tao, who was equally confused as well. Which they became more confused when it became foggy, just like before! "And when did it become foggy?" the tiger called out as they looked around, also hearing other people panic!
"Bill, Tao, Aoba! What happened?!" Legoshi called out as the place became foggy and he saw the guys disappear before him! It seemed he was alone again, and saw some familiar looking beings just like the robotic creature from before walking away from him, like he wasn't there!
The wolf decided to try and escape from the realm he was in, so sneaking past the creatures before him was the only choice. Sneaking to an alleyway as the monster turned around, why was he the only one who disappeared?
Of course he had to find help, but with the situation. He had to try to find clues along the way to ge help, while for one thing. Legoshi was lucky he wasn't carrying any bags as he snuck past some of the gigas, most of them were tall as him.
Unfortunately, he had to cross the street. But the robotic creatures were in the way! not knowing what to do, he was about to give up. Only to see a big ball of water seperate into many other smaller waters. and turned into icicles! destroying the huge ones, leaving only smoke from where the robotic creatures were.
Heading out of the alley and into the street to find the way out, only to find out more of the Gigas' tried to jump onto him! But Legoshi felt like his arm was being burned, a quick scream of pain and he saw the gauntlet on his arm again!
So as one of them attacked Legoshi, only to have the wolf dodge under the Creature. And slashed the gauntlet to the back of the Gigas. And another swipe to destroy the Gigas, only to have a few more coming to attack Legoshi!
Only to have a few arrows destroy the remaining ones, and making the wolf wonder who saved him. "Come and follow me, There is a way out of this place!" A gruff voice called out to him, turning around to see a panda holding a crossbow on his hand at another alleyway.
Legoshi did as he was told, and headed to the panda's direction. Gauntlet ready if he was attacked as he was following the panda, who wore a bright yellow shirt that stood out! The wolf wanted to thank him, but maybe later as a few smaller Gigas' were following them!
From the looks of it, they were pretty slim and quick. Looking lizard like, but that was shot down as the panda shot a few bolts towards the creatures! High pitched screams were heard.
Legoshi and the panda were at another street, and the wolf was getting tired from all of the running. Not knowing where the exit was, the panda noticed this and gave him a water bottle.
"You need to keep your strength up, it seems that there are more of these Karma creatures popping up lately." the panda said as Legoshi drank his water bottle. "Thank you, for saving me." he thanked the panda.
Giving the bottle back to the panda who put it back into a bag he was holding and looking at the area for more creatures, giving a quick nod to Legoshi. Not a very talkative person as they were trying to get to the exit.
And they both went out to find the exit, which was glowing. "Be careful, we might be facing a dangerous foe more poweful." The panda said, getting his crossbow ready. And then heading out despite Legoshi's protest.
So the wolf followed the panda, but he also wanted to have his name despite the circumstances they were in. His guantlet at the ready, Legoshi went out as well. And a mechanical screech was heard, Making the panda look up to see the enemy.
Legoshi followed the panda's gaze, seeing the new enemy. It was bigger then the one he saved Haru from! And while it was night back when he first fought the giant Gigas or Karma, but he needed to focus!
The Gigas was crouched on all fours, looking like a lion with crimson metal and gold plates in place of the mane. It's blood red eyes locked onto the two of them, pouncing to attack! "Get away!" The Panda called out as they got out of the way in time.
After the dodge, the panda shot a few bolts! damaging the creature, roaring in pain as it got hurt. Firing a few more, with a few missing the target. And Legoshi used his gauntlet to attack one of the mane plates, making the robotic creature turn to face the wolf!
"Watch what you're doing, Wolf boy!" the panda called out harshly to Legoshi, firing a few more bolts at the Gigas lion's left back feet. And as the monstrous lion Gigas raised it's paw at Legoshi, and tried to kill the wolf!
Only to have Legoshi block the giant paw with his gauntlet! Both the wolf and giant robot lion tried to overpower the other, with Legoshi looking more worried from the creature starting to open its mouth!
Trying to bite the wolf, but Legoshi jumped back. Just in time from being eaten! The lion Gigas roared again in annoyance! and tried to swipe at Legoshi, who barely dodged a few. Only a few scratches on his shirt, making the wolf start to worry!
"Need my help again?" called out a voice. making Legoshi look around as he tried to defend himself from the Lion Gigas, a flash of blue went past him and went next to the Panda, making the being now known.
The being had a long body in dark blue scales, her lighter blue mane flowing like the river. And Legoshi saw the panda getting another water bottle out of his bag, and then opening it as the wolf dodged another attack from the lion!
"Can you please make it quick!?" Legoshi called out, and dropped down as he tripped from exhaustion. And the panda poured the water out, as the big reptile used her breath to turned the water into ice!
The panda now held the ice bolt, put it onto his crosssbow and shot it at the Lion Gigas! Ice began to coat the giant creature, trying to get it's legs out. But no avail to escape from the now vastly approaching ice!
Legoshi stood up again, trying to figure out how to end the monstrosity once and for all. And his gauntlet began to glow as flames surrounded it, surprising the wolf! But he needed to focus! and locked eyes with the robotic creature.
So even without trying, Legoshi jumped really high and seeing the Lion Gigas now frozen in place. excluding the head, as it roared in defiance! And the wolf used his gauntlet to attack the gigas lion as he went down, with the lion trying to escape.
And with a shout, Legoshi slashed the iced Gigas! Said creature roared in defeat, as the ice bagan to shatter. The creature disappearing into nothingness, the gauntlet now disappearing from Legoshi's arm. What was happening today?
"You look like you need answers, let's just escape this place and back to his place." the creature said as both she and the panda went into the portal. Wanting to get out, Legoshi followed them to get out of the foggy Cherryton City.
And now he was back to where he belonged! Noticing the sky, it was almost evening. And followed the panda and reptile creature, who had somehow taken a different look such as a more smaller body, unlike here long one.
she wore a light blue coat, grey shirt with a reptile head on it, dark blue loose pants and wore some sandals. Knowing fully well he needed some answers, Legoshi followed them both up some stairs,
Just like before, he had that strange déjà vu. like he was here before, as he looked at a lone mammal sitting down. Who looked up and asked him which finger to eat! Surprising the wolf, and looked forward to see another uneasy sight!
He heard of rumours as he continued to follow, of a black market where carnivores could buy meat! And the rumours were true, as Legoshi plugged his nose as he walked to the panda and dragon(as far as he could tell), who were quietly discussing about the fight from earlier.
"Come into the office, we have much to discuss." the panda told him as they continued walking, and Legoshi unplugged his nose as he followed. There were so many questions he wanted answered!
They were now in the panda's place. Who now introduced himself as Gouhin, and he ran the clinic that helps out carnivores with their meat eating habits. As he saw pictures on the wall with carnivores with many injuries.
But that wasn't the answer needed as he saw Chirithy walking beside him again! just where was this creature hiding all this time? But he entered the room with Gouhin and the changed creature. Who called herself Sisu from someplace called 'Kumandra'.
"Hey kid, we have a visitor here." Gouhin called out to the other side of the room where tea was being made. The other person entered, Legoshi noticed the similarities to the other creatures from his dream.
The creature in front of him had long black hair touching her shoulders, her jade shirt was under a black coat. A similarly black coloured skirt was noticeable, and her purple slip on shoes as she entered.
"Greetings, I don't remember my real name. But someone named me 'X'." she introduced herself, which was weird. As she brought four cups to them, noticing Chirithy also. "And who is this?" she asked.
Chirithy saw the girl, their ears rising up. There was a familiar face now!
