The Dark Knight Returns Against the Pro Heroes

In a dystopian future, where a genetic alteration called Quirk has dominated society the old superheroes are not need it. Only Superman is the only one that can act all over the world. Bruce Wayne, tired of living in a country where his old friend is viewed as a God decided to live sometime in Japan, where the situation hero society is crazy. Is up to Batman return into the night

1. Chapter 1

This fic is mostly inspired on The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller. I re-read some time and watched the animated movie. They are both excellent, while the Graphic Novel is a little dated because of some ideas and viewpoints, is still a masterpiece.

So I thought to myself ´´What if this whole hero system was going worldwide, and Batman wanted to retire in Japan´´. So basically, Bruce is going to Japan see if he can relax and try to be a somewhat normal person. Mostly because in this world, Japan is one of the few countries that Superman doesn't interact because of the ridiculous number of Superheroes. I will give my version of the origin of quirks later in this story.

This will be Dark, gritting and Batman will do what he always do, kick some ass and prove what is justice.

The world has become a place either to bright or too dark. In some place's crime is still at large, while some crime is nothing to be worried about.

Ever since a phenomenon called ´´Quirk´´ happen in China, almost 80% of the human population started to gain superpowers and use them to their benefits. Some even became what they thought it was just a fantasy, heroes.

However, the old heroes, the originals one see this massive alteration of the human gene and they didn't know if this was the future or some kind curse. Not even the magical heroes could explain, although Dr Fate thinks it's a plague released by the deity that the heroes have fought, so fighting a superpower world would eventually weaken them.

The United States in the hope to make people everything be settled and stop international terrorist quirk attack, declared something. That for now, Superman would be the only main hero in all of the world. After a vote from the united Nations, this law was approved and the Man of Steel is the main watcher of a good chuck of the planet.

One of the few countries that he doesn't look over is Japan, where they took the idea of becoming a hero to a great amount. There are over 6 thousand Pro Heroes there working in the safety of the citizens, so the Man of Steel decided to leave Japan to take care of its problem.

Some people are still frightened by the sheer power of Superman. He alone is more powerful than any quirk individual in the entire world. Plus, with the end of the Justice League, the old generations of heroes is a thing of the past.

However, one lone survivor of this old age is still alive. He is possibly the most powerful Quirkless man alive, Bruce Wayne the man who once called himself Batman is now retired and thinking of what to do in his life. Ever since the lost of his sidekick Robin, he isolated himself and stop trying to organize everything. He knew all about what the Hero Society in Japan has done behind curtains. His old self would go there and expose all to the world. But, as himself say:

''I´m too old for this.'' Said Bruce as looking a glass of Bourbon as he looks at the fireplace of Wayne Manor. Sitting alone with his thoughts.

This is just the first page. Next one we will start dipping into the whole Dark Night Returns thing. This is going to be wild.
