Hey guys...

I am sooooo soooo soooo sorry for the really long update. I have been so busy with moving 220 miles from where I was currently living. I have been working at my new job currently so I haven't had time to write or update. I also haven't had internet to update too.

Thank you all for being very patient with me. I love you all.

"I'm going to throw the last party on Friday before senior year starts" I tell the girls. Peyton and Rachel were on FaceTime and Haley waslying on my bed. Rachel and Peyton were flying in Thursday night.

"You are?" Rachel replied.

I nod "yeah I haven't thrown a party this summer and I think being head cheerleader I should"

"Okay well since they're not here what can I do to help" Haley asked.

"Get the word out to all the seniors" she nodded.

"I can do that. Nathan will help" she assured me.

"You do know Julian will be there" Peyton warned.

I nod again "I know, but I'm getting over him so it doesn't matter much"

"Haley told us about the other night him showing up at your house" I glanced over at Haley and rolled my eyes.

"I handled it just fine" I assured them

"And at the theatre too"

"I handled that too and Lucas was there too"

"Yeah we know" of course they do. Haley told them.

"Anyway I'm going to pick you guys up Thursday just send me your flight details"

"Okay" Rachel says texting me them straight away "there"

"Thank you. Anyway guys I have to go"

"Oh right your hang out session with Lucas" Peyton wiggled her eye brows at me making everyone laugh.

Lucas and I have been hanging out the past few days and it's been nice. Lily has been there once or twice, but then she met a girl from school and they've become close friends and have been hanging out too.

"Alright guys I really have to go. Love you both and we'll see you in two days" and then the call ended.

"Right I'm going to leave you to it Brookie" Haley says standing up from my bed "have fun and I'll see you tomorrow"

"Okay Hales oh and don't forget to get the word out about the party and everything else I'll get people in to do" she nodded and left my room.

Lucas picked me up and we were driving around town until we reached one of my favourite places to go. The bowling alley. I love to bowl. He parked and we got out heading for the entrance. Lucas paid for us and they gave us both our shoes and we were ready to go.

"Strike!" I squealed jumping into the air.

"You are really good at this" Lucas comments standing up to take his turn.

"What can I say, I love to bowl" I reply giving him a cheeky smile. He smiled back Luke I'm having the last party before senior year starts on Friday if you want to come"

He takes his turn then turns to me "I could come" he nods taking a seat beside me "sounds fun"

"All our parties are fun" I smile standing to take my turn.

After we had finished both of our games we gave our shoes back and left "you hungry?" Lucas asked "we could go to Ma's cafe or somewhere of your choosing?"

"I could eat" I nod "your moms cafe is perfect" I beam a dimpled smile at him as he opens the car door for me "thank you" he nods and gets into the drivers seat.

We got to his mom's cafe and he took me to the same booth from the opening night and I slide into it taking my jacket off and he slides in opposite me. I take the menu and glance over it.

A youngish girl walks over looking maybe our age with a pen and pad in her hand "hi Lucas" she smiles at him "what can I get you guys"

"Brooke?" Lucas looked to me.

"I'll have a banana milkshake and I'll take the American burger with extra cheese and chill fries please with a side of apple sauce" the girl writes down my order and turns to Lucas.

"I'll have a chocolate milkshake with the same meal as Brooke except the apple sauce I'll take barbecue instead please" the girl nods writing it down "thank you Tori" she nodded and left to put our order through.

"So Lucas I just wanted to clear things up with you is that okay?" he looked confused, but nodded anyways "okay so Julian will probably be at the party on Friday and when school starts he probably might give you a hard time if we continue this hang out and stuff "

He shrugs his shoulders "I don't really care for that guy Brooke. I talk to whomever I want and if he doesn't like so be it'

That made my heart flutter just that little bit "but I don't know what he'll do to you Luke"

"Don't worry so much about it Brooke. He is a soccer player yes?" I nod "and I'm joining the basketball team, we'll hardly cross paths anyways and besides I've met the guys from the basketball team they're good with me"

"As long as you're sure. I wanted to..."

"Give me an out right? You wanted to lay the card out to see if I would drop whatever this is between us?" I slowly nod and he laughs shaking his head "I knew things were complicated before Brooke. You don't need to give me an out. I choose to jump into the mix so it's all good"

I blush a little and put a piece of hair behind my ear "okay good" and he laughs just as the girl brings our food over.

"If you want anything else let me know" she says before walking off.

"So Brooke what is this between us?" Lucas asks after a few minutes of silence

"Erm..." I pop a fry into my mouth and look at him "what do you want this to be?"

"Well I like you" he says looking at me "I've grown to really like you"

My cheeks blush "I like you too" he nods "I like hanging out with you too"

"So Brooke will you see how this goes with me?"

"What do you mean?" I kink my eyes brow confused

"We date and see where it goes" He bites into his burger

"I would like that" I nod and we continue to finish our meal.

Lucas pulls up outside my house. He opens the car door for me and walks me up to my front door. I rummage through my bag and take my keys out.

"Like I said back at the cafe I like you Brooke. I have since you bumped into me. I know your situation is complicated and I don't and won't push you into anything you don't want to do" he says turning to me "but spending the days we've spent together with you has made me like you more and I'm glad we can call this us dating now and I'm not going to lie to you, I really want to kiss you, but I don't know how you'd take that so I'm not..."

I lean in and cut him off with a kiss. It was sweet and romantic and I very much liked it. I felt giddy and I could see fireworks. It was nothing like when I used to kiss Julian. It was something else like out of a romantic movie or something. It was magical how cringe does that sounds.

Lucas broke contact first and my lips tingled. I brought two fingers up to touch them feeling them very plumped. I then opened my eyes and saw Lucas staring back at me his eyes glistening and his lips very plumped too.

"That erm... that surprised me" Lucas says breaking the silence.

"Yeah erm... I'm sorry I don't know where that came from. I didn't mean to just do that. I shouldn't have cut you off like that"

"No that was a very perfect way to show me how you felt" he smiled melting my heart even more.

"I like you too Lucas and that kiss definitely showed that, but it's just. I don't want you to get involved in something beyond my control. Yes I ended things completely with Julian you don't have that to worry about you just have the rest to worry about. He won't let this happen without a fight and you shouldn't have to deal with that" I explain.

"Listen to me Brooke and listen good okay" I nod "if we decided that this is what we want to do and Julian doesn't like that well tough luck because it's what we want and he can try and fight it or mess with it, but he won't win because he won't get you. We can't be afraid of what he does otherwise you'll never be truly happy again Brooke and all I would ever want is for you to be happy even if it's not with me"

"Thank you Luke" he nods.

"I better go" he says "I promised Lily I'd tell her the details of tonight. I think she ships us way too much already" I laughed "thank you for a good night Brooke" he leans in and kisses me softly to the lips.

"Good night Lucas" I wave him off and open my front door walking inside and shutting it.

Now that is what I call a perfect end to a perfect night.
