It was party day I was pretty excited. I picked up the girls last night and they stayed at mine. We had a girly night full of gossip and they told us about their LA trip and I told them about my hangouts with Lucas, leaving out the kiss. I didn't know how I felt about it yet so I didn't want to tell anyone until I did. The questions I didn't want to answer.

I haven't really seen Lucas since we kissed; I mean it was only 2 days ago. He said he was coming to the party tonight so I guess I'll see him there.

Haley got the word out to all seniors so that was sorted. I hired people to come in and set everything up so that was currently happening.

After making sure everything was going smoothly I headed up to my room to get ready. The girls had gone to get ready too.

The music started at 7 and people started arriving by half 7 mingling with each other. My back doors were open to make more space. There were students everywhere. It was like a typical party I've thrown millions of times.

I decided to wear a short red halter dress that came mid-thigh with a pair of black wedged heels. My hair was up in a high ponytail and my makeup was very light with a tad of glitter.

"This party is awesome Brooke" one guy says as I walk through the crowd to get a drink.

Step 6 get lit aka get drunk in case you guys don't know what that means.

"You've started early?" Rachel says walking in from the garden.

"I started at 6 when I was getting ready and I didn't know you was here yet" I reply sipping at my drink.

"I just got here" she states "Haley came with Nathan and Peyton is hanging off of Jake over there" she nods to the sofa.

"Okay well have a drink you guys can stay here tonight"

"Cool" Rachel makes herself a drink and gulps it down "I'm going into the crowd. Meet in an hour outside?" I nod gulping my own drink and she wanders off.

I was drunk. Not fall to the floor pass out drunk, but I would be there soon. I staggered across the kitchen and took a shot I poured into a shot glass. I then saw the front door open and those familiar ocean blue eyes met mine. He gave me a smile and headed my way, but then another familiar figured appeared in front of me instead.

"Brooke there you are, I've been looking for you" he says "oh your drunk" he states the obvious "come with me" he goes to take my hand, but that other familiar smell filled my nose. It was Lucas.

"Nah man she isn't going with you" Lucas says

"And who do you think you are?" Julian replies "she's my girl"

"No she isn't dude. Not anymore, now if you'll excuse me" Lucas went to grab me, but Julian stops him again.

"She isn't going with you, I'll take her"

Lucas's POV

I wasn't letting him touch her. I don't care who he is or whatever history they had. She was drunk and he was an ass "Lucas" Brooke calls out reaching up at me "Lucas come lets go" she says and I give her a smile. I scoop her up in my arms; I look over my shoulder and see Julian following us with his eyes. He looked mad, but I didn't care.I walk over to the sofa and plonk myself down with Brooke in my lap "I didn't think you were coming" she states opening her eyes to look up at me.

"I wasn'tgoing to" I reply seeing her face fall a little "only because I wanted to avoid a scene like that one" I nod back over to Julian who was still looking at us.

"He is an ass" she mutters making me laugh and then she snuggles into his lap "your lap is comfy. Oh wait you just came and I'm very drunk. I'm sorry"

"Oh no Brooke don't be sorry. I'm glad you enjoyed your night and I'm glad you picked me back there. I would have looked stupid if you didn't"

"I'd always pick you over him Luke. Always" she mumbles and a goofy smile appeared on my face. The music was still playing and the party was still at full swing. I liked this girl. I liked her a lot "should we go get a drink" she scooted out of my lap and pulled me up by my hand. I balanced her as we walked back through the crowd to the kitchen area again "what would you like?"

"I don't drink" I state. She turns and looks at me raising her eye brow.

"Huh" she then laughs "that's a first for tree hill teenager. Oh god that sounds terrible" she laughed again "okay well we have soda or water. Oh I know tea? Coffee? We have it all really"

"A soda will do fine Brooke. A coke please" she grabs it from the ice box and passes it to me "so this is every senior in our school?"

She nods "well most of them"

"Sounds like you guys love to party in Tree Hill huh?"

"Yeah we do. We defiantly know how to. Well we mostly throw one after a game on a Friday night, but if we lose we go get pizza and ice cream instead. It's like a tradition and that's with any sport" she explains.

"Sounds like I'm going to like it here especially with you about" her cheeks blush pink as she bites down on her red lips.

She moves closer to me until her body touches mine. She then leans up a little so she could reach my ear "then you're really going to like it here" just having her mouth against my skin gave me shivers.

The feeling I get when Brooke is around is none like I've ever felt before. I didn't feel nervous, I just felt. Well I don't know how to explain it. It was just a good feeling.

The party had ended and Brooke was snuggled up on the sofa. It was 3 in the morning. Everyone had left. I told Rachel, Haley and Peyton that I would make sure Brooke got to bed okay. They were all drunk themselves so I didn't expect them to take Brooke up stairs themselves. I called them a taxi and sent them home making sure they got into the taxi fine. I locked her front door and then scooped her up in my arms. She stirred a little in my arms, but didn't wake up.

I walk into three rooms before finally find her room. I pull back the covers and I place her down slowly in her bed her eyes fluttered open and a smile formed on her lips.

"Lucas hey"

"Hi pretty girl" I smile down at her "its bed time okay"

She slowly nodded "okay" I go to walk out of her room, but her voice stops me "wait Lucas" I turn to her "stay with me"

I walk back over to her bed and take my shoes off. I lay down next to her pulling the cover over us. She snuggled into me and rests her head on my chest. I put my arm around her and that's how we stayed until day light.
