Heeey guys, I am so sorry for the long update. Happy New Year to you all. Lets hope 2021 is better for us all. I want to do so much this year, but god knows what this year will bring us.

After what happened between Julian and me, I got home and lay on my bed staring up at the ceiling wondering how everything got so messed up so fast. My phone would ping with messages from the girls or Lucas or even Julian, but I ignored it all just wanting to be by myself for tonight.

I ran my fingers over the bruise that had appeared on my arm where Julian squeezed really hard. Would he ever leave me alone?

I later ordered myself Chinese and watched Netflix in my bed having some me time.

The next morning I woke up earlier than usual and had a shower, I got dressed and headed down to the kitchen to have my breakfast before heading to my car to get to school just that little early.

I had cheer tryouts today at lunch and I had to make sure the gym was set up. Okay fine I didn't have to get to school earlier I just wanted to avoid Julian and everyone else just for that little bit.

I got to school seeing the car park practically empty. I park my car in my usual place and head round to the gym entrance. I pushed the double doors open and to my surprise there stood Julian with one of my cheerleaders.

I let out a scoff and shake my head with a little laugh "I'd tell you to get a room, but you've already done that" I turn around and walk out of the gym and back into the car park.

I try and avoid him and he is right there. It's like I can't get rid. I know we go to the same school, but what are the odds of him coming to school early today to hook up with Theresa.

"Brooke wait" I hear Julian call after me. The car park was starting to fill up so I must have got here not much earlier than I thought "Brooke"

I stop and spin on my heel getting him to stop quickly before he banged into me "what Julian, what could you possibly want"

"I'm sorry you had to see that"

I give a bitter laugh this time "see what Julian, you screwing yet another girl. Oh I've seen plenty over the summer. Theresa isn't a new one Julian" I start to step back "don't be sorry because you truly haven't been before" I could feel eyes on us as I turn to walk away again.

"You seriously can't be mad about this" he calls after me getting me to stop again and turn to look at him "you've made it pretty clear that we are over Brooke. You told me to leave you alone yesterday and you're even dating the new kid on the basketball team"

"I'm not mad Julian. I'm way pass mad. I'm just sick of seeing it. I mean the school gym Theresa" I look pass Julian to the blond standing a couple steps behind him "do you have no class. You have a whole fucking house, you both do and yet you decide to fuck where I could find you. It's getting really pathetic now" I step closer to him "I keep making it clear, but apparently you still don't get it Julian, so I'll say it one last time. Doing this" I point between him and Theresa "isn't going to get me back I mean seriously of all people you think fucking her" I point to the blond "is going to get me back. That's funny"

"Theresa you're off the squad" I shout to the girl.

"What?" she stepped forward "but its senior year Brooke"

I nod "yeah I know it is. I have try-outs today so I'll just replace you" I then turn around and walk away.

"I'm sorry Brooke" Julian shouts.

"Yeah so am I" I call back putting my middle finger up at him continuing to walk.

"Brooke" I turn my head and see Rachel and the girls walking my way "there you are. We've been calling you"

"I know" I nod "I'm sorry I just needed time alone" they nod understanding.

"So what was all that about?" Haley asked referring to the scene that happened moments ago.

I look over at Julian who was now talking with his friends from the team.

"Well I thought I would come to school early and make sure everything is set up in the gym and I walk in to see him and Theresa fucking" the girls eyes widened "don't look so shocked. I wasn't" I shake my head "so instead of letting it go he ran after me and we exchanged words"

"Are you okay though?" I nod seeing Lucas's car pull in.

"Okay good" Peyton pips in.

"Girls I'll see you in registration" they followed my gaze and all nodded. I head over to Lucas.

"Brooke hi" Lily says getting out of the car first.

"Hey Lil, how's it going for you so far?"

"Good" she states "especially today where I can try out for you and the girls"

"Obviously" I nod "a quick tip just be yourself"

"Noted" she smiled before running off to her friends.

"Hi Luke" I say when he gets out.

"Hi" he says shutting his car door.

"Sorry about last night. I wasn't ignoring you on purpose or anything"

He nods "the scene with you and Julian seemed heated"

I shrug "it was nothing just the same old really. After yesterday you'd think he'd leave me alone"

"Not his type of guy" Lucas states "his the type that wants to claim what's his and when it don't go his way you know about it"

"He'll get over me eventually"

"Yeah maybe. Brooke I have to go, but I'll see you around okay" the vibe I was getting from him wasn't anything like it has been the past couple weeks. He was being stand offish and I didn't like it.

"Lucas are we okay?" I ask before he walked off.

He turns to me "yeah we're okay" that didn't sound reassuring at all, but I had to take his word for it "I'll be seeing you" he then walked off over to the players on the basketball team.

The day was going normal. I avoided Julian at all costs and it looked like Lucas was avoiding me the same. I hadn't seen him all morning.

At lunch it was cheer try-outs. We set up a table that the girls and I would sit at while girls did a routine for us to judge. Each of us had a piece of paper and a pencil. The try-outs started and a few girls were okay doing the moves we shouted out to them and then doing a routine of their own. We liked just one so far Kadence who was Lily's bestfriend. Next was Lily and I hoped she was good.

"Okay Lily Roe please" she walked down to the centre marked x with a smile on her face "you ready Lil" she nodded. Each of us said a move and she done it perfectly. Her flips were amazing as well as her moves and then she did her own routine landing with a double back flip. When she had finished everyone cheered "oh my god Lil that was amazing"

"Well I watched your two last competitions on YouTube and mastered the back flips"

"Well you done a really good job" Peyton comments "well done"

"Okay girls we are going to deliberate so just wait 5 minutes" I tell them "so who we thinking?" I ask the girls.

"Lily is a must" we all agreed knowing that already "and Kadence was good, but so was Olivia"

"Well I mean I did get rid of Theresa and maybe we can add Olivia in as well" They nodded "so everyone agrees to these three" they nod again "okay good"

I turn back to the crowd of girls and stand to my feet "okay girls we have decided who will join us this year" I tell them "it was very hard to decide because you all did very well, but we have narrowed it down and decided on three girls. So after I call out the three names I need you to come up and grab a uniform from Rachel. Okay so first will be Lily" Lily squealed then ran up and grabbed her uniform "next is Kadence" she did the same "and finally Olivia" she ran up and got her uniform from Rachel too "now you don't have to wear the uniform every day, just on game day which of course is a Friday and then as you all know sometimes we go to away games too. Thank you all for trying out and next year do try out again"

Once everyone had left the gym Lily ran up to me "oh Brooke thank you" she hugged me "I cannot believe I'm a Raven"

"I can't believe your surprised" Haley commented "you were awesome"

"Thank you"

"So Lil if you ever want to get dressed with us before a game let me know. We always drive separately up to the games too" I informed her.

"Okay thank you again girls" we waved it off and she ran of squealing some more.

It was the end of the school day and I was walking to my car when I saw Lucas standing at his car. I haven't seen him all day. I go to walk towards him when I see Lindsey from my history class approaching him. I stood just observing. She was giggling at whatever he was saying and her hand would brush his arm as he smiled at her.

My heart sunk at the scene and then I felt confused. I didn't understand. Lucas seemed okay yesterday and then today everything seemed to be different. What could have changed overnight? I then saw Lindsey lean in and kiss his cheek before walking off towards her friends and her car.

I shake off the feeling I felt when Lucas looked up and his eyes locked with mine. I didn't know what to think or do so I just turned around and walked towards my car. I get in and drive home where I could be left alone.
