It was a week later and it was competition time again. I stood in the quad clicking at my phone. I went to grab something from my car for cheer practice. I slide my phone into my jacket pocket and head back inside to meet my squad.

"okay girls so as you know Saturday is part 2 of the competition and as always we are going to kick some ass" the girls and I cheered at that "after winter break we will have one last competition in February or March and that is when we will get that beautiful trophy and after that I will announce to whom I will give my cheer captain crown too after I graduate"

The girls began to murmur between themselves obviously all wanting to be captain.

"Right I want you all to get into your positions. We have to do better than the bears and I know we can. We always do" everyone did as I asked as we began the routine "awesome" I nod after watching them "Lil if you could go into the double backflip then cartwheel and land in the middle that will be great" Lily nodded "okay go again with Lil doing what I just asked" I press the button on the stereo remote and play the music again.

They were perfect with instruction. I was pretty lucky to have an awesome squad like these girls.

Lil did what I asked and landed perfectly in the middle ready to continue the dance "oh wow girls that was perfect" I applaud "well done girls. We are tots ready for Saturday" we all clap "okay you girls can head home now. Remember to be in Huntersville at 3 the latest. We will stay the night and head home Sunday morning. Tomorrow we will have one last practice after school" the girls scatter grabbing their bags and heading out.

The girls and I said our goodbyes for the day. Haley and Peyton headed out with their guys and Rachel went home to face time date with Owen.

Suddenly two arms snaked around my waist from behind "So I was thinking I grab us a takeout, we watch Netflix and just chill and I spend the night with you" he placed a kiss to my neck.

"That sounds perfect" I turn around in his arms and snake my arms around his neck "hi boyfriend" I place a kiss to his lips.

"Hey Pretty Girl" he greets back "you girls are going to smash it tomorrow"

"Wait you were watching?" he nodded "I didn't see you"

"I stood behind the bleachers. I was waiting for you" he kisses me again.

"Are you coming tomorrow?" he nodded "awesome"

"Lets head out" he takes my bag and swings it on his shoulder "its cold out there put your jacket on" we walk hand in hand "I'm going to go gran us some food" he kisses me as we stop by my car.

"Okay" I unlock my car and get in and head home.

I get home and head to my room. Lucas texted saying he was going to grab us some Chinese food. So I gave my order and waited for him to come to my house. I open my closet and see the brown envelope. I debated whether I should tell him or not. Then I made my mind up. I was going to tell him. No lies. Not in this relationship. I quickly have a 5 minute shower before changing into a pair of sweat pants and tank top. I slip my slippers on and head down stairs.

I lay plates and two drink cups on the coffee table. I also bring in snacks for after our food. I love these kinds of nights. I prefer them over going to any stupid high school party.

I sit on the couch and put Netflix on and waited for Lucas. Literally 20 minutes passed before my front door opened and in walked my boyfriend. I flash him a smile. He locks the door behind him and slips his shoes off at the door and walks over to me placing the food on the coffee table.

"Oh it smells amazing" I comment not realising how hungry I was until now.

"Well let's dig in Pretty Girl" and then his eyes land on the brown envelope and he turns to me "what is that?" he asks shuffling his jacket off and going to hang it up by the door.

"Before we eat I wanted to talk about that" I say watching him come back and sit beside me. I turn side ways to face him "It was left on my door step the other day. I think it's about your past"

"My past?" I nod "but I told you everything Brooke. Wait... did you look into me?"

I shake my head quickly "not it wasn't me. I haven't even opened it" I pick the envelope up and show him "I believe what you told me was everything Lucas. I just didn't want any lies between us so I wanted to tell you that someone dropped it off"

"Not someone" Lucas says and I knew who he was talking about. We all did "this is Julian isn't it"

I look to the envelope and see his scribble he calls writing across the front and then I nod "yeah it's Julian"

"Okay well I will deal with that tomorrow at school" he takes the envelope and puts it under the coffee table "but right now I am going to eat Chinese food with my beautiful girlfriend and watch Netflix" I felt butterflies flutter around my stomach when he said that "now let's eat"

The next morning Lucas headed home early to get ready for school. I was super nervous for today after last night. I gave Lucas the envelope because I did truly believe him so I didn't need to look through it. I had a shower and got ready for school. I then headed out to my car and headed for school.

When I parked in my usual spot I saw Lucas standing with Nathan and Jake who were stood next to the girls. I head towards them and then I saw Julian pulling into the car park. I got to the group and approached Lucas first.

"Hey boyfriend" he turns and smiles at me placing a kiss to my lips "well what a lovely greeting" I smile into the kiss.

"Hi pretty girl" he replies and then his gaze turned to my awful ex boyfriend Julian "I'll be right back" Lucas says walking pass us and towards Julian.

"What is that about?" Rachel asks watching as I was.

"I think he is just really fed up of Julian you know"

"I don't blame him" Rachel replies and I agreed with her.

"Yo Julian I need to talk to you" I heard Lucas call out. Julian looked up from the girl he was talking to and looked at Lucas.

"Sorry baby, but pretty boy here wants to chat" Julian says sarcastically. The girl walked off "what do you want Roe"

"I want you to leave me and Brooke alone" Lucas states the obvious "it is quite very obvious that she wants nothing more to do with you, but instead of you walking away with your dignity you keep trying to get between us after you treated her like absolute crap by the way. Its pretty sad man"

"You stole the love of life away and you thought that I would let you get away with that" Julian replies.

"Did he actually just say that?" Rachel laughed "I think he is delusional"

"You didn't think of her like that when you were screwing your way through the town" Lucas replies "honestly just leave us alone. If you had or have any love for her at all then you would leave her alone and let her be happy" Lucas doesn't say more after that. He takes the brown envelope out of his back pack and slams it into Julian chest "oh and here man. She doesn't need nor does she want this. She already knows everything" and then he turns and walks back over to us.

"That was awesome" Rachel boasts "you definitely told him"

"You okay Luke?" I question seeing the look on his face.

He nods "yeah I'm okay pretty girl" he places a long lingering kiss to my lips as the bell rings "that's our que to head to class" he takes my hand in his and we all head into the building.
