It was now winter break and we were all getting ready to go to the cabin for the week. I told everyone to meet at mine and then we would head there. Owen was meeting us there since he was flying. Lucas, Lily, Joshua and Rachel were driving with me and Haley, Peyton and Jake were driving up with Nathan behind me. I was super stoked for this break away.

I grabbed my bag from my bed and swung it on my shoulder as I grab my keys from the hook by my bedroom door. I head downstairs where I can hear Lucas and Lily arguing. I roll my eyes knowing this was about Joshua coming with us. Thankfully he wasn't here yet.

"Lucas I am not a child anymore. Stop treating me like one" Lily shouts at her brother.

"Well does Mom know that he is coming with us?" Lucas asks.

Lily crossed her arms "what you going to do? Tell her?"

"Lily..." he goes to stay again and then he sees me on the bottom steps "Brooke please can you tell her that this is not going to happen"

I look to Lily and then to Lucas and I knew he was going to get mad at me, but she isn't a little girl anymore "I can't. I'm sorry Lucas, but she already told me he was coming with us"

"Wait... what?" he looks between us "and no one thought to mention that my sister is sharing a room with a boy"

"Oh my god Luke I'm not a child. I am almost 17"

"Exactly almost"

There was a faint knock at the door "be nice Lucas or I swear I will be going celibate this week"

"Brooke..."

I shake my head cutting him off "she is a smart girl Lucas so trust her"

He grunted for a second and then sighed running a hand over his face "fine I trust you Lil"

Lily's face formed a smile "thank you Luke" she kisses his cheek "but please be nice. I like him a lot"

"Okay okay I'll be nice"

I open the door to see Joshua on the porch with a bag on his shoulder "wow this house is amazing" he compliments "so big"

"Thank you" I reply just as Nathan's car pulls up "right is everyone ready. Lily take Joshua to my car" I hand her the keys "put your stuff in the boot" she nodded taking my keys and heading out Joshua following behind "what's on your mind?" I ask Lucas when I see the look on his face.

"I'm just trying to be a good brother and be involved, but it always seems like I'm doing too much" he says "I was a terrible brother back in Charlotte and I'm trying so hard to make her proud of me again and be involved and just be there for her, but the looks she gives me I don't like them"

"I get that and I don't have an answer for the way you're feeling baby, but just try not to press things so much. I get it you weren't there for her back then, but we are in the present and she loves you Lucas so much. Don't worry so much okay"

He leans up from the back of the couch and pulls me into him "thank you for being so awesome Pretty Girl"

I flash him a smile "your welcome boyfriend" he leans in and places a kiss to my lips "okay we better get going if we want to beat Owen there" I take him by the hand and we head out.

We get to the cabin and it was beautiful. The scenery was just lovely. There was snow all around. It looked like something out of a movie. I park my car and everyone piled out. Nathan came up behind us.

"It's about time you guys got here" a voice came and then we see Owen walk out of the cabin. Rachel ran up to him and jumped into his arms "hey baby" he says as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"So let's go see our rooms" Nathan grabs Haley's hand and headed inside.

"You coming Luke?" I ask when I see him staring at Joshua.

"You go ahead with Lil. I just want to talk with Joshua quick"

"Lucas you said you'll be nice" Lily whined

"And I will. I'll just have a nice brotherly chat with him"

I eyed Lucas and sighed grabbing Lily's hand "come on Lil let's go see our rooms" Lily protested for a moment and then she finally agreed "be nice Luke. Please" he nods and I place a soft kiss to his lips "we'll see you both inside. In one piece Lucas and I mean it" he nodded.

"You don't think Luke will scare him off do you Brooke because I really like him" I look back at Lucas seeing a stern look on his face and then a smile formed on his lips and they were laughing.

"I think your fine Lil. I think because Lucas wasn't such a good big brother to begin with, he feels so much guilt for that and is trying to make up for it. He isn't doing it to make you mad.

"I know his only doing it to feel like he has a purpose. I just... I'm not a child anymore you know"

I nod "I know and so does he, but you'll always be his little sister Lil"

"I know" she replies "Thank you for being here Brooke"

I wrap my arms around her as she hugged me "any time Lil"

"And you're that good that they offered you a place?" Lucas asks as he and Joshua walk in

"See Lil your brother can surprise you" Lily laughed "so you guys seem in conversation"

Lucas looks up "he is pretty alright" Lucas smiles at Lily "just don't hurt her and we'll be okay"

"I wouldn't dream of it" Joshua replies also smiling at Lily

"So does that mean we can share a room?"

Lucas shakes his head "Lil you'll share a room with Brooke and I'll share with Josh"

Lily rolled her eyes "really Lucas. We weren't even going to do anything"

"Then sharing a room with Brooke won't change anything" he replies

"Lucas"

"Okay okay you two stop this sibling bickering" I put my foot down "this is meant to be a break away from the drama of tree hill. Now Lucas Lily said they aren't going to do anything and even if they did she is not a child and sure they would use protection" I turn to Joshua "right Josh" he nods "see. Now stop being such a big brother and leave her alone. Lily you and Joshua have the last room at the end of the corridor on your right next to Rachel and Owen"

Lily flashes me a smile "thank you Brooke"

"You're welcome" Joshua picked up their bags and they headed up to their room "Lucas you need to trust her"

"I do" he says "I just worry too"

"It's okay to worry, but you'll just push her away if you do too much"

He nods "yeah I know"

"Come on let's go see our room" Lucas follows me to the stairs and up to our room.
