[Nothing's Gonna Stand In Our Way by Spectre General plays]
Me: Yo, what up everybody? It's WOLFWATCHER12 here with The Amazing Ghost Musician for yet another chapter of Steven Universe: War Of The Beasts!
The Amazing Ghost Musician: What's up, followers of FanFiction? We hope you are all ready for another exciting chapter today. You wanna tell em the plot for this chapter?
Me: Sure thing, broski! The plot is similar to the Beast Wars episode "Dark Designs" which is one of my favorites and I hope it's one of yours too. It starts with the Maximals and Crystal Gems searching for an Energon reading, but it was too deep to access and Megatron and the Predacons ambush them and so Rhinox and Garnet cause a rocky avalanche to bury the Predacons and as they head back to base, Rhinox and Garnet cover the rear.
The Amazing Ghost Musician: Unfortunately, they get ambushed by Tarantulas and the three Gem Predacons. As a result, they get captured and are brought back to the Predacon base, where Megatron will reprogram both Rhinox and Garnet into Predacons. The reason being is so that Megatron and the Predacons will have a big advantage against the Maximals and Crystal Gems, since Garnet has been known as the leader of the Crystal Gems before and her ability to predict the future, it'll be an advantage for the Predacons to win the Beast Wars.
Me: But Megatron is about to get a little more than he bargained for. Yessssss. Doing my best Megatron impersonation. Anyway, the other Maximals and Crystal Gems wait it out as the evil versions of Rhinox and Garnet cause mischief and mayhem inside the Darksyde.
The Amazing Ghost Musician: You might as well say that Megatron's plan to build a more powerful team of Predacons is going to backfire on them. Am I right?
Me: Yeah, you are dude!
The Amazing Ghost Musician: So while the other Maximals and Crystal Gems wait for their time, some of them like Steven, Pearl and Rattrap are wondering what Optimus has in mind on how to intervene.
Me: Yeah, and also, I admit, the excerpts Waspinator does in the episode were hilarious, wouldn't you agree?
The Amazing Ghost Musician: I agree, but he'll soon learn not to spy on Garnet, especially since she can sense him a mile away.
Me: Hoo boy this is gonna be good!
The Amazing Ghost Musician: It sure will be, especially with us typing down this good plot. So anyway, the chapter begins here and we hope you all like our ideal plot.
Me: Yeah, so with that said, shall we get it started up here?

Chapter 13: Insidious Dark Designs!
We find ourselves near the mountain pass outside of Beach City and here we see Steven Universe, Optimus Primal, the Maximals and Crystal Gems setting foot on it as a shower of pebbles chitter down a steep rock face on the side of the mountain. They were down below on the narrow trail as the winds blew through the beautiful alpine terrain and Rhinox was using a scanner he and Garnet made to look for Energon.
As they all looked, Rhinox got a little exasperated. "Aghh, now we're losing the reading," he said.
"What?" asked Pearl, as she was confused.
"There's Energon here, but it's too deep to access." the rhino Maximal replied.
Amethyst huffed a little bit, "Dead end." she said.
Optimus however shrugged philosophically, as he took a look around the area. "Ah, as dead ends go, at least this one has a view."
Garnet uses her ultraviolet vision to look. "Yes, no good here either."
Steven sighed in defeat. "Darn it!" he said.
"You're telling me we spent the whole day yompin' up here just to enjoy the scenery?" Rattrap said to the Maximal leader. "Aw, man. What ELSE have we got to look forward to?" he complained.
Little did they know, someone was watching them from above and fired a missile at them. Garnet sensed this and the missile was aimed at Cheetor. "Cheetor, look out!" she warned.
"WHOA!" Cheetor said, as he was hit a little but still lived. "You had to ask, didn't you?" he shot back at Rattrap.
"That was a close one!" Steven said.
"Predacons, up there!" Optimus looked up and saw that it was the Predacons. "Optimus, MAXIMIZE!" he shouts. The Maximals all transformed, while the Crystal Gems armed up and ready their ammunation towards them.
"No place to run, no place to hide! A perfect opportunity for an ambush, yessss!" Megatron said, cockilly and then he raged. "OBLITERATE THEM!"
Blasting away with all of their weapons, the Crystal Gems also fired at them with their powers too and such, but the Maximals were completely exposed and vulnerable.
Optimus then opened the blaster on his forearm and fired at them, "We need a diversion!" he said, relaying ideas for a stratagem.
"We've got you covered!" Steven replied.
Garnet nodded in agreement.
"Primejets ON!" Optimus said, as he jumped into the air to try and fly at them. But a missile hammers into him, spinning Optimus sideways and slamming him in mid-air.
"OPTIMUS!" Steven shouted.
"Big Bot!" Cheetor panicked.
Pearl then turned to Garnet. "We need to break his fall!"
"On it!" Garnet said, as the two of them worked together to break Optimus's fall and make sure he was not damaged.
As the firestorm continued on, Dinobot, Rattrap and Amethyst were bickering all at once.
"There is only one alternative, Attack!" Dinobot said, telling them. "We storm their position!"
"Yeah, I'm with you on that Chopperface!" Rattrap said, making Amethyst stunned to hear that.
"No freakin' way, fellas!" Amethyst shot back at them. "You're on the wrong wavelength there! I say we sneak attack them!"
"How in the hell do you expect us to do that?" Rattrap demanded.
Amethyst said. "We avoid their detection, trip them and then we run!"
"Oh, yes? And just how are we going to avoid their detection, Gem?" Dinobot said, in a mocking manner.
Behind the mountain, Megatron saw this as somewhat odd. "It shouldn't be this easy, nooo!" Megatron wondered, but then shrugged it off. "But I shouldn't complain!"
However, little did Megatron know, a rock of gibraltar in the eye of the storm, as Rhinox was firing at the mountain side, as so was Garnet after she had helped Pearl break Optimus's fall. The laser blasts streak over the Predacons' collective heads and strike the mountainside at fifty yards above their position
"Rhinox, shoot straight for cryin' out loud!" Cheetor yelled, "You're missing them by a parsec!"
"Garnet, why are you shooting the side of the mountain?" Pearl asked, wanting to know.
Garnet then replied, "I have a plan."
"Whatever it is, we're gonna need it!" Steven worried and hoped for it to work.
Megatron fired at Optimus again and he seemed to be enjoying it. "Close the file on Optimus Primal… and DELETE!" he urged.
But, Rhinox and Garnet did a double attack and dislodged a crucial boulder, and in doing so, caused a rocky avalanche, making Megatron gasp in horror and Scroponok yelled, "LOOK OUT!"
"TAKE COVER!" Jasper shouted.
The Predacons all scrambled for cover as the rocks tumbled and thundered down upon them and Megatron had the rocks fall on him, causing him to be a little buried underneath the pile and Rhinox stopped blasting the mountain.
"There's more than one way to skin a cat, so to speak." he grinned. Steven, Pearl and Cheetor help Optimus back to his feet and the Maximals all convert back into Beast Mode.
Steven looked at Garnet and said, "Great job, a little insane in the membrane, but it worked.
Garnet smiled at him, "Thanks."
Rhinox then returned their attention, "No time to waste. Dinobot, lead the way!" he instructed and Dinobot nodded in agreement to that. "Steven, Amethyst, go with Dinobot. Pearl, Rattrap, Cheetor, help Optimus. Garnet and I will cover the rear."
"Well done, old friend." said Optimus, as he held onto Cheetor to get up. "Steady nerves and quick thinking."
"Comes with the job description." Rhinox said.
"No, I'm serious." said Optimus, as he were. "If you ever wanted to, you'd make one Prime Leader," he added.
"He's right." Garnet agreed.
Rhinox thought about it and said, "Thanks anyway, but I'll leave that sort of thing to you. I'd rather just tag along behind and smell the flowers." he told him wryly.
Scowling down as the rockslide subsides, Tarantulas crawls along the wall and down below, Rhinox and Garnet guard the rear as the others scramble safely off the trail.
While Scorponok, Jasper, DarkFanger and Waspinator were digging Megatron out of the rock pile
"The rhinoceros and the Gem Fusion, Garnet." Megatron said. "I do believe that I may have underestimated them. Yessss." he mused, thinking it over. "And I can find a use for ones like that." he then turned to one of the Predacons. "Tarantulas, I have a job for you to do!"
"Yes Lord Megatron, it shall be done!" said Tarantulas, as he went off in the direction he was ordered to go, while the others kept digging.
Further up the trail, the Maximals and Crystal Gems kept walking up as Rhinox and Garnet kept a watchful eye on their end.
"It looks clear," Garnet sensed nothing out of the ordinary.
"Keep on going, we'll catch up." said Rhinox, as he switched off the comm-link.
Just then, they looked left right and then up and down, and suddenly, a net drops down on them and clamps shut on them, as it yanks them up into the air. They see that it was Tarantulas rappelling down the cliffside and is heading right for Garnet and Rhinox, snickering evilly as he rappells and they lie there pinioned and helpless in the Energon web. Their eyes widened.
And then, after reaching them, Tarantulas bites them both and administers a poison into their bodies.
"Hehehehehehe. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Tarantulas cackled evilly, as Rhinox and Garnet stiffen and slump into unconsciousness.
Later at the Predacon base, ominous shadows loom over as pools of lava bubble about and such and inside Garnet and Rhinox slowly come to and find themselves inside the Predacon base, they see Tarantulas on a catwalk, evilly gazing down from there and sees the two on the platform in the middle.
Rhinox and Garnet both realize that they are shackled and immobile, held dazedly between twin turrets of a nightmarish machine. On the top of each one, a laser-gun-like device is swiveling to train itself upon them.
Megatron hovered above them in his usual chair as Scorponok and Waspinator hovered on the other sides.
"The Transmuter. Mega-cycles into design." said Megatron. "But, infinitely, well worth the effort, Maximal and Crystal Gem, as you both are about to discover. Yessssssssss." he said insidiously.
We now see the Maximals and Crystal Gems exiting the valley, Rattrap works swiftly at communicating with Rhinox and Garnet, but no luck.
"If I can just patch in, I can remote-activate their comlinks." Rattrap said.
Steven felt a little worried. "I hope they're alright."
"Me too, without them, we'll be outnumbered." Pearl added to this.
"I say we just go after them!" Cheetor said, urging to get into battle again.
But, Optimus calmed him, "Cool your circuits, Cheetor." he said. "First we have to find out where they are."
And then, with a little bit of luck, Rattrap managed to get it working, "Yeah, I got it!" he said, as the sound crackled on the terminal.
It was just white noise at first, but then Rhinox's voice could be heard. "If you're going to finish us anyway, then do us a favor…SHUT UP AND GET ON WITH IT!"
Everyone in the area began exchanging bleak looks on their faces as Cheetor gulped in fear. More static could be heard and then Garnet spoke up, "That's right, otherwise I may have to shatter this binding!"
"Oh, finish you, Maximal and Crystal Gem?" Megatron asked, as his voice was heard over the speaker. "No, I've only just started with you both."
Megatron then slammed his fist on the control console, causing the mechanics of the gears to wind and twin beams lance on up each turret, Rhinox and Garnet arch and look around as if it was not two, but four turrets and it fired at both of them.
They both began glowing with electricity as power surges through them crackling. The barrage of lasers made them scream in pain as this happened. And Megatron just laughed at this and then it stopped when he pulled the lever to deactivate them.
The beams flicker and then die, Rhinox and Garnet remain motionless. But something had happened, their bodies had turned an evil shade of purple. They blink their eyes, they glare red, showing that Garnet and Rhinox had been turned evil. They looked narrow craftily. The magnetic clasps undo themselves and they face them.
"Rhinox… TERRORIZE!" He then transformed into robot mode and his gold parts were replaced with all silver.
Garnet then smirked evilly and said, "Afternoon, all."
"This a private club, or can anybody join?" asked the Pred Rhinox.
"Let me be the first to welcome you." Megatron said, diverting everyone's attention, as he beamed with evil pride. "Everyone, meet our new Predacons!" he added, as Pred Rhinox and Pred Garnet laughed evilly.
As this was going on, Black Diamond and his minions were watching the whole thing. Needless to say, they were dumbfounded and shocked.
"OH MY WORD!" Black Diamond exclaimed. "What the hell?!"
"Something troubles you, my love?" asked Tanzanite, as she was concerned.
He turned around and regained his composure, "Sorry, honey. Megatron seems to have turned one of the Maximals and one of the Crystal Gems into his new minions." said Black Diamond.
"We believe it is Garnet and the Maximal called Rhinox." said a soldier, as he reported this to Black Diamond's wife.
She looked at this and she looked a little spooked. "GYAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" she said, as she fainted in her husband's arms.
"I got you, my darling." said Black Diamond, to his wife. "What could the motive be for this?"
"We're not sure sir, but we'll keep looking," said another soldier.
"Excellent, see to it!" ordered Black Diamond, as he and his wife sat down in their respective chairs.
And so, the soldiers kept glued to the monitor to see what would happen next.
All the other Maximals and Crystal Gems were shocked and horrified to hear this.
Steven gasped at this when he heard it, "This is not good!"
Cheetor agreed with him, "Rhinox and Garnet reprogrammed as Predacons?!"
"Oh man!" Amethyst complained.
Pearl nodded to that, "We're down two members of our group, and we lost our most trusted friends."
"Indeed, most ominous!" Dinobot said, as he snarled a little bit. "It alters the balance of power."
Amethyst then got up in his face and said, "Hey, we're more concerned about what it does to Garnet and Rhinox."
Cheetor sneered, "Yeah, better DEAD than Pred!"
"Some of us have survived the experience, Furball!" Dinobot shot back at Cheetor.
Rattrap then let out a grunt of frustration, "I can't get it back!" he said. "We're too far away, and there's too much interference!"
Optimus then suggested, "We'll have to get closer to the Predacon Base."
Steven agreed, "You're right, Optimus."
Cheetor then added, "Oh yeah, real close, like through the gate with lasers blazing!" he said.
"I'm down with that!" Amethyst agreed with him.
"Negative." said Optimus, keeping them in line. "We don't have the forces for a full scale assault."
Steven then said, "Optimus is right, if we go up there recklessly, we're goners."
Pearl agreed with that as well, "Good point! It would be for the best for us to wait it out."
"Yeah, but Cheetor's got a point!" Rattrap said, siding with Cheetor. "I mean, we can't just leave our friends there."
"Oh yes we can, that's exactly what we're going to do." Optimus said.
"SAY WHAT?" Amethyst was outraged, and so was Rattrap.
"Optimus, have you got a few bugs in your systems directory!?" Rattrap demanded.
"Hold on guys, I don't think he meant it as in turning our backs on them!" Steven reassured me.
"Optimus, what are you really getting at?" Pearl wanted to know.
"I don't have any bugs in my systems directory, but I have a hunch that Megatron may have bitten off a little more than he bargained for…Yesss." said Optimus, as he mocked Megatron's signature tone.
Back inside the Predacon Base, the now evil Rhinox and Garnet stood on hovering platforms in front of Megatron.
"Nice little setup, chief." said Rhinox. "I think we're going to feel right at home."
Garnet pumped her fist. "Oh yeah!"
"And now that you two have toured our base, we shall start conducting business." Megatron pressed a few buttons on the chair and it showed a hologram of the Axalon. "Your former lodgings, Rhinox and Garnet. And you have intimate knowledge of the defense systems. Knowledge that will prove most valuable. Yessssss." he told them.
"And what's in it for us?" Garnet asked, while Rhinox raised his brow.
"The satisfaction of becoming two of my newest soldiers and playing a leading role…" Megatron told them. "...In the destruction of your former comrades!"
"Destruction! Yep, destruction is always good!" Rhinox smirked at this, as he rubbed his hands together.
But then, the hologram began shorting and so did the computer. "Gah!" Megatron grunted in shock and frustration.
"Something wrong, chief?" Rhinox asked.
"There must be a malfunction in the imagery decompression protocol array." Megatron said, as he pressed a few buttons.
Rhinox taunted, "Gee, hope it's under warranty." he said, getting a snarl from Megatron.
"I'll go check to see what the hell is the hold up?" Garnet said, as she zoomed in on the platform.
In a subterranean cavern filled to the brim with banks of computer equipment, we see Scorponok pulling equipment apart as he searches for the cause of the problem.
"Hey Scorponok," Garnet said to the scorpion Predacon. "The chief wants to know how long this is gonna take."
"Just tell Lord Megatron that I'll have it fixed when it's ready, and not to get his software in a snarl." he told the now evil Crystal Gem Fusion. "First I have to figure out what the slaggin' problem is!" he takes off a panel and is stunned, "Hang on! The redactor modem's missing!"
"Geez, as Lord Megatron's second in command," Garnet started trolling him. "You're really not that diligent."
Scorponok then walks around the equipment and goes to find a replacement for the missing modem. Little realizing that Garnet had the redactor modem in her hand and crushed it into tiny pieces, before she marched over somewhere else.
"Scorponok, I've found it!" Garnet signals for him.
He sees Garnet next to a huge, teetering stack of heavy equipment and this made Scorponok react in hesitation and fright. "Hey, hey, hey! You want to be careful there!" he warned.
"Relax, I am being very careful!" Garnet said to him. "It's not like I plan to knock this all over!"
"I don't know, it looks like you are to me." Scorponok said. "You might make those fall and crush us both!"
"No, you see if I were to knock it over, I would do it like this!" she said, as the stack tumbles and falls onto him. Scorponok tried to run, but he ended up getting crushed and flattened by the equipment.
Garnet laughed evilly at this.
A few minutes later, Megatron, Jasper and Waspinator all rushed into the lower level of the base and found a pile of equipment all fallen down.
"Oh dammit, Scorponok has been flattened!" Jasper said, as they rushed to get it all off of him.
Megatron was angry at this and demanded, "Idiot, what have you done?" he then poked him, but no reaction.
"The idiot does not response, the idiot is comatozzzze!" Waspinator
"Of course he's not responding, he's been crushed, you dunce." Jasper replied, smacking Waspinator in the back of the head.
"Get him to the Restoration Chamber at once!" ordered Megatron.
"Yes my lord!" Waspinator and Jasper said in unison, as the two hauled Scorponok's body to the Restoration Chamber so he could be repaired.
What they didn't know was that both Garnet and Rhinox were chuckling obscurely.
"What a complete tool." Garnet said, in a sinister way.
"Indeed, Scorponok really is incompitent." Rhinox said, mentioning that, as he and Garnet high-fived each other.
"I wonder how much damage we can do to Megatron's team before he loses his cooling processor!" Garnet wondered at that idea.
"Let's find out!" Rhinox smirked, as they went off.
When they arrived at the restoration chamber, Scorponok lay unconscious as he was lowered into the pool of restoration liquid and then Waspinator buzzed away down the dim corridor muttering to himself as Jasper had already exited the room. He turns a corner, and a heavy block of machinery comes swooshing into the air and he lets out a horrified "GYAK!"
"HEADS UP!" Rhinox and Garnet shouted, as they went to the left in the tunnel.
The block smashes into Waspinator like a wrecking ball, sending him flying out of control as he cartwheeled around the room and he then reels around hilariously like a drunken sailor, shorting and sparking.
And now we see Aquamarine and Eyeball Ruby watching on and they smirked, "So, this is the game, is it?"
"Looks that way." Eyeball Ruby stated.
"We better report this to Lord Megatron," said Aquamarine.
Eyeball Ruby then stated, "But, before we do, let's catch them off guard!"
"Good idea!" Aquamarine agreed to that.
Waspinator is now flying about drunkenly as Megatron, Spinotor and Blackarachnia turned around to see them, Jasper was with them too.
"Destroy all Autobots! Bots!...Bots!..." as his head spun around.
"Waspinator, what are you buzzing about?" Megatron demanded.
Spinitor then asked, "Yeah, are you over energized or something?!"
"Waspinator? Negative-negative! I am Shrapnel, Decepticon Hero! O!O!O!" the insect Predacon buzzed, as he ricocheted here and there.
"WHAT? Shrapnel?" Jasper asked in confusion
"He was a Decepticon from the Great Wars three centuries ago." Blackarachnia informed Jasper.
"Bug boy has gone wacko!" Jasper scoffed in a goofy way.
"Wacko? No WONKO, Wonko the sane!" Waspinator corrected, as he pounded his head with his fist.
Megatron reacted with wrathful incredulity.
Inside the depths of the Darksyde, Garnet and Rhinox were walking around the tunnels, searching for someone else to cause mayhem to.
And while they were doing so, all of a sudden, out came Eyeball Ruby and Aquamarine. "Why Aquamarine, look who's here." she said, feigning surprise.
"By jove, you're right, Ruby." Aquamarine said back to her, being coy.
And just then, Terrorsaur dropped in upside down. "I agree with you two, it seems our loyal friend's are just wandering about." he taunted.
Rhinox and Garnet were confused. "Is that supposed to mean something?" Garnet asked, raising her eyebrow.
"It sounds to me that you three don't trust us." Rhinox said.
The three of them all got down from the ceiling and landed. "Don't play stupid with us."
"Yeah, deep-six the big-wide-eyes routine!" said Eyeball Ruby. "You two are trying to destabilize the whole operation, so you can knock off Lord Megatron and take over!"
"Well, we've got news for you both." Terrorsaur then went ahead and added to it, "I like this plan, and so do they, right?" he turned to the red and blue Gems, getting a feigning nod from each of them. "So, how about letting us in on it?"
Garnet walked up to Aquamarine and Eyeball Ruby while Rhinox, "Alright, but here's the deal." he started off, as the two of them grabbed them all by the necks, choking them.
"You guys are going to keep your damned mouths shut and do exactly what we tell you, right Rhinox?" asked Garnet to Rhinox.
"That's Right! Because, one false move and you two will melt into our own personal trophies. And you, one false move from yourself, and you're a new fast-food sensation, Pterodactyl Hot Wings, GET IT!?" Rhinox demanded, letting them go and dropping them to the floor.
"Got it." said Terrorsaur, in a weakened manner, as Eyeball Ruby and Aquamarine nodded nervously.
"Good." Rhinox and Garnet said in unison, as they walked off, leaving them in a quivering heap.
We now see Megatron looking at the monitor and sees a section of the base to find both Tarantulas and Blackarachnia trussed up in webs, hanging from the cell and they're both unable to move.
"Tarantulas? Blackarachnia?" Megatron asked himself, as he looked into this. "These Spiders have been poisoned!"
"Lord Megatron, we've got another situation!" said Jasper, as she then showed another monitor. They see Flamenix, Spinitor and DarkFanger are trapped inside what looked like a huge block of ice.
"What the? Flamenix? Spinitor? DarkFanger?" Megatron said, much to his horror. "They've been frozen!"
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON AROUND HERE?!" Megatron yelled in frustration and anger, as his yell could be echoed through the area.
All the while, outside the Predacon base, we see Optimus, Steven and the other Maximals and Crystal Gems keeping tabs on the whole thing.
"WHOA!" Steven said, in fright a little bit, as he saw some rocks fall on the Northeast corner of the area.
"Now I get it," Cheetor chuckled a little bit. "Let Garnet and Rhinox stay in there and have them create total chaos!"
"Oh man!" Amethyst smiled at that. "I would love to see the look on Megatron's face right now!"
"Yes, I was guessing that the transmutation would take their aggressiveness quotients right off the scale, and it looks as if I guessed right." said Optimus.
"Let's not forget that Garnet's intelligence had been boosted by this too." Steven added, "She may get crafty with this aggressiveness and may even cause mischief."
"Garnet has always been known to plot ahead, and predict what's coming next. And it seems that Megatron is learning that lesson, the hard way!" Pearl added.
But then, Dinobot pointed out something else. "There is just one problem, Megatron is nobody's fool!" he said.
"Yeah! Pretty soon, he's going to put two and two together." Rattrap agreed with the raptor. "And then what happens to Rhinox and Garnet?" he wondered.
Inside the Predacon Base, Terrorsaur, Aquamarine and Eyeball Ruby were sitting in front of Megatron and they told him what their plan was.
"And so you see, they threatened us and they even whacked Waspinator into acting like a drunken sailor." said Terrorsaur, as he elucidated the situation.
"They also crushed Scorponok with all that equipment and poisoned Blackarachnia and Tarantulas." said Aquamarine.
"It's true, Boss!" Eyeball Ruby, adding to this, said. "They even froze Flamenix, Spinitor and DarkFanger!"
Just then, Jasper brings in the repaired Scorponok and he begins telling Megatron his side of things. "I…I looked up…" his jaw jittered a little bit and then he said, "BLAM!"
"It seems that I've made a big mistake reprogramming both the Maximal and the Crystal Gem Fusion. Yesssss!" Megatron said, feeling like he did not count on this. "But, fortunately, this can be rectified! Predacons, it's time we bring this experiment to an end. We shall confront Garnet and Rhinox, and we shall terminate their positions… PERMANENTLY!" he slammed his fist on the arm of his chair and then they all agreed to this.
Outside the Darksyde, Steven, Optimus, the Maximals and the Crystal Gems all react as the tension of this whole thing mounted on them.
"Oh man, this is bad!" Steven said, in fright as he heard this.
"They're going to execute Garnet and Rhinox!" Pearl shrieked.
"We gotta move and fast!" Cheetor panicked.
"Not yet! If we intervene too early, we'll be dealing with fourteen Predacons, including Garnet and Rhinox." Optimus added.
"And if we wait too long, we're facing twelve Preds, a large collection of Rhino Bits!" said Rattrap, feeling concerned for his best friend.
"Not to mention a big pile of broken Ruby and Sapphire Gems pieces!" Amethyst worried for Garnet.
Dinobot said, "They're right, the game is over!" he snarled.
"Not quite!" Optimus reassured. "Rhinox, Garnet and Megatron have one more hand to play. With each other."
Steven felt the lightbulb in his head turn on. "He's right, they're gonna revert them back to normal first."
"Exactly!" Optimus said to him. "We'll move in closer, then we'll hold our positions until I give the signal." they all silently agreed to this.
Inside the Darksyde, Garnet and Rhinox, who is now in Beast Mode, are relaxing as they walked around the base, standing on the ventilation ducts.
"Rhinox! Garnet!" Megatron called out.
Garnet wasn't sure where it came from, but then, he zoomed in on the platform he had. "Such a pleasure to see you two."
"Always a treat to see you too." Rhinox said, being coy.
"I can sense that you're not really happy with what's been going on here." Garnet snickered insidiously.
"TRAITORS!" Megatron shouted.
"I knew that he would find us out!" Garnet said to her partner.
"Yep! You've made a good point, in which case… RHINOX, TERRORIZE!" Rhinox transforms into robot mode and Garnet activates her gauntlets and weapons.
"They're playing our song, Megatron." Rhinox said, being coy again, and then he grabbed the Predacon leader, "Time to dance!" he sneered.
"Ditto!" Garnet added.
However, Megatron saw that the Scorponok, Terrorsaur, Jasper, Aquamarine and Eyeball Ruby were ready to rumble. "Oh I do so hate to disappoint, but I shall sit this one out." Megatron said, punching Rhinox away, causing him to stumble.
"Scorponok, TERRORIZE" he said, going into robot mode.
"Terrosaur, TERRORIZE!" said Terrorsaur, as he jumped into the air and converted into Robot Mode.
Aquamarine and Eyeball Ruby fused into Bluebird Azurite, while Jasper cracked her knuckles.
Seeing how they're outnumbered, Garnet and Rhinox turned their attention to Bluebird Azurite and Terrorsaur, "Oh, you're back on their side now? Gee a guy can hardly keep track?"
"How pathetic is that?" Garnet chuckled, as Jasper and Scorponok were confused.
"What the hell are they talking about?" Scorponok demanded.
"Don't listen to them," Terrorsaur warned. "They're playing mind games with us!"
"Really?" Rhinox taunted, after he turned over to Scorponok and Jasper, "When we slagged you and bug-eyes, they were watching and smirking!"
"WHAT?" Jasper shouted.
"That's a lie!" Bluebird yelled back.
"You know I can sense your reactions, so how come you guys look so shifty all of a sudden?" Garnet demanded.
But then, Jasper and Scorponok flipped over Garnet and Rhinox and stood in front of them.
"We're not-" Terrorsaur and Bluebird said, but were cut off.
"You guys are smirkers!" Scorponok laughed. "MANGLE!" he shouted, as he butted his head against Terrorsaur.
"Why you!" Terrorsaur said, as dodged out of the way of Scorponok pouncing on her and kicked him out of the way.
"You back-stabbing, two-timing scuzzballz!" said Jasper, to all of them.
In her blind rage, Jasper then whacked Bluebird and she smashed her face into the vent. "Dim-bulb!"
"Ouch!" Jasper winced in pain.
Megatron sees his own cohorts fighting amongst themselves because of Rhinox and Garnet turning them against each other. He grunted with frustration. "NO! Idiots, they're the enemies!" he informed them.
Rhinox and Garnet then charged at them, with Rhinox grabbing Scorponok and Terrorsaur by the necks and Garnet doing the same thing to Jasper and Bluebird.
"Time for all four of you to go for a ride!" Garnet said, snickering as she and Rhinox laughed evilly and smashed their collective heads together and then Garnet spun Jasper and Bluebird around and slammed them to the ground while Rhinox just dropped Terrorsaur and Scorponok.
Rhinox then grabs both of his guns and fires them at the platform Megatron is standing on, causing him to stumble a little bit, and then Garnet throws several punches and kicks at him, causing him to fall flat on his back to the floor near the Transmuter.
Garnet decides to add insult to injury and kicks him and then pounds his face, before backflipping back to Rhinox. "Well, whaddaya know? We win."
"Not so tough now, are ya?" Garnet chuckled.
"Guess not!" Rhinox saw Megatron struggling to get up and then he said. "Reprogramming us was the biggest mistake you've ever made. Cause now that we're Predacons, we're just a little too crafty for you!"
"Maybe next time, you'll take what our former friends warned you about into consideration." said Garnet, as she taunted.
"Yes…I see this now." Megatron said, as he slipped.
"It's called irony, sport!" said Rhinox, as he stated it. "So here's how it's going to go down, we're taking over and you're heading straight for the trashcan! Yessss…" he mocked Megatron's phrase.
"That's right!" Garnet shot at him again.
Megtron grunted, "So it would seem! I will admit, you two did teach me one valuable lesson." he said to them.
"Yeah, what might that be?" Garnet raised her eyebrow.
"Sometimes we Predacons can be a little over our heads and sometimes, we gloat too much!" he said, firing his laser from his T-Rex head, reactivating the Transmuter and it then got into reverse of what Megatron did to them in the first place, causing them to return to their normal colors.
The Maximal Rhinox and Crystal Gem Fusion Garnet were back to normal and Rhinox was confused about what has transpired. "What the? What happened to us?" he asked Garnet.
Garnet then remembered everything that happened. "I believe that we've been turned into Predacons!" she ranted. "Of all the sick things I've seen, this is the most insulting!" Garnet said, feeling angry.
Just then, Megatron shoots missiles at both of them, sending them flying back. "Fools! You two thought that you outwit me?" Megatron said, as he was about to do so, but then a blast was fired at him, causing him to get hit and then he turned around to see Steven standing there.
"MAXIMIZE!" Optimus shouted, as the Maximals all converged into Robot Mode and the Crystal Gems all armored themselves for battle.
"Alright Megatron, now you've made this personal!" Steven shouted in anger.
"It's time for you to pay for what you did, Grape Face!" Amethyst insulted him.
"Yeah, so how about we just punt your butt a couple hundred yards downfield!?" Cheetor sneered, as were.
Megatron whirls to fight the onrushing Maximals and Crystal Gems, Jasper and Scorponok climb onto the platform. Terrorsaur and Bluebird Azurite also got up and ready for the fight.
And at the same time, Waspinator kept buzzing around like a drunken sailor and he had his gun. "Decepticons Attack, attack! Woo-woo-woo!."
Amethyst then raced at Waspinator "Hey bug-eyes, it's time to go for a little spin!"
Amethyst uses her whip to grab the flying Waspinator and as she does so, he is shot by it and it causes him to spiral down.
When he impacted, Waspinator said as his voice was becoming distorted. "More than meets the eyes…" he sang, woozilly and then splat, his face planted on the ground and fired his gun at the Transmuter, causing it to send up a cascade of sparks.
Optimus and Steven got into a stand-off with Megatron. Pearl locks into combat with Scorponok, Cheetor opens fire at Bluebird, Dinobot stands off with Jasper and Rattrap fights against Terrorsaur. The lasers blast in their direction and Dinobot gets his sword out, prompting Jasper to do the same and they clashed their swords.
Optimus got out both his scimitars and Steven got out his sword and shield and they charged at Megatron, and Steven swung his shield at him, causing it to hit him in the face and then it came back to Steven.
Pearl ducks Scorponok's punches and then she throws him to the floor and then does three, count 'em, THREE German Suplexes in a row. "Take that, you arthropodic scoundrel!"
"You'll pay for that!" Scroponok said, as he got back up again.
Cheetor fired his blaster at Bluebird, and she tried spinning the blasts away from her, but all she could do was dodge.
Dinobot then grabbed Jasper and said, "You're very profound with your sword, Jasper!"
"So are you, Dinobot!" Jasper said, as she struggled. "However, you're still a traitor to Lord Megatron!" she shoved him.
"You don't see his methods like I did!" he shot back at her. "You're just as feeble minded as someone else I know!" Dinobot added to that, as he shot his laser vision at her.
Jasper then said, "Oh yeah, like who?"
"Not Rattrap, but somebody else I knew on Cybertron!" Dinobot pointed out.
Rattrap heard that and said, "Thank you for clearing that up, Chopper-Face!" He said that in a complementary way.
Terrorsaur then said, "No wonder he defected." as he also heard that.
All the while, Optimus and Steven still duked it out with Megatron and Optimus got his swords and charged at the Predacon leader, "EN GAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRDE!" he shouts, as he runs at him. But then, Megatron lowered himself and then kicked both Optimus and Steven into the air and shot his laser at them.
"STEVEN!" Pearl shouted.
"OPTIMUS!" Cheetor also shouted.
Meanwhile, Garnet slowly gets back to her feet and sees Megatron closing in on both Steven and Optimus.
Cheetor and Bluebird continue to fire at one-another, until Rattrap blasts Terrorsaur and causes him to collide with Bluebird, causing them both to go down for the count.
Pearl managed to knock Scorponok into the electricity behind him, which shocks him to the point that he blows. "AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Scorponok yelled in pain.
Dinobot then grabbed Jasper and then chokeslams her into his spinning rotor-blade, but it did not kill her, just gave her some scars. He blasts her with his laser vision, taking Jasper for the count.
Megatron then grabbed Steven and Optimus both, "You two have stood in my way for the last time! EVIL ALWAYS TRIUMPHS OVER GOOD AND YOU WILL ALL DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!" He was about to fire at them.
What he didn't know was that Garnet was now enraged, with her gauntlets set and charged right at him "NO! YOU WILL NOT HURT MY FRIENDS ANYMORE, YOU FREAKIN' OVERGROWN TYRANT!" Garnet yelled in anger and began ripping him apart, she started by slicing off both his tyrannosaurus arm and legs.
"Garnet!" Steven shouted, as he hugged her.
"You made us worried." Optimus stated.
*DETONATION IN 30 MINICYCLES!* said the computer.
"OH DAMN!" Amethyst said.
"IT'S GONNA BLOW!" Cheetor panicked.
Megatron then said, "PREDACONS TAKE COVER!" urging his minions to escape.
Then Optimus turned to Dinobot and gave his instructions, "Dinobot, grab Rhinox and let's get out of here!"
"I'm on it!" said Dinobot, as he finds Rhinox's unconscious body and carries it with him.
"We gotta hurry, this place is coming down!" said Pearl, urging them.
Just then, Rattrap whistled and said, "Yo, everybody! OUT OF THE POOL!" The Maximals all streak for the exit and the Transmuter buckled and sparked, it cracked like a gun and soon it began to fall apart. The inside of the base explodes all the way to the outside.
However, Megatron, who had become limbless, was approached by Terrorsaur who was shocked to see the damage Garnet had done to him.
"LORD MEGATRON!" Terrorsaur shouted, as he dug his leader out of the wreckage and said, "I'll get you away from the explosion!" he urged.
"I do appreciate your concern, but let me share this with you, Terrosaur!" Megatron said, knowing what it felt like to be struck by karma. "We've lost the battle today, and I shall take responsibility for this, due my own ego!" he admitted.
"What do we do?" asked Jasper, still feeling weakened from the battle.
"For now, we'll take a few days off for us all to repair ourselves and our base," Megatron said to them all, denoting their new stratagem. "Once we're all back to a hundred percent, we shall seek our… REVENGE! OHHHHHHH YESSSSSS!" and with that said, the explosion happened.
The next day, we now find Rhinox is beast mode with Garnet by his side and they are smelling the flowers, which was what he always liked to do and he felt at peace.
"Ahhhh. Heaven." said Rhinox.
He then heard a chuckling, and it was Optimus, who along with Steven, Amethyst, Cheetor, Pearl, and Rattrap were all in a meadow. "Good to have you both back to normal." he said, as he was reading a book.
"So, give us the scoop." said Cheetor, his curiosity showing. "What's it actually feel like being a Pred?" he wondered.
Rhinox then said, "Well, it felt like you're three gigabytes of Attitude on a two-gig hardrive." he said.
Garnet then added, "Yeah, no wonder they have personality problems." she then began to laugh, and so did Rhinox.
Steven then burst out laughing, "OH-HAHAHAHAHA, hilarious!" he said, and soon, everyone started laughing with mirth and Cheetor and Rattrap slapped each other on the back.
Dinobot on the other hand thought to himself, he knew that this war was far from over. What will come of the next battle?

[Nothing's Gonna Stand In Our Way continues]
Me: Well, another chapter is done, and I gotta admit, this was truly nice to do! And heck, I really hope to do it again sometime down the road.
The Amazing Ghost Musician: Hell to the Yeah, broski! This is now tied as one of our best chapters in this whole story, especially when this was a great and yet funny episode.
Me: True dat, but can you believe that this is the 13th chapter we have done on this story? I mean, 13 has always been an unlucky number, hasn't it?
The Amazing Ghost Musician: It sure has, especially since the number 13 was never really a good number for me, and for many good reasons. But I'm not going to go far into the explanation!
Me: Me neither, especially since today is Friday the 13th.
The Amazing Ghost Musician: Yep! I'm so glad that we're able to get this chapter done today, and what a great week it's been for us and wrestling all in general.
Me: Too true, plus I saw this video on YouTube telling people to bring back the Def Jam wrestling games.
The Amazing Ghost Musician: Let's not forget that on this past episode of AEW Dynamite, we saw the best match between wrestling's best daredevils, Darby Allin and Jeff Hardy.
Me: Oh yeah! That was one for the book, no doubt about it!
The Amazing Ghost Musician: Not to mention there's a new and awesome alliance, when the Blackpool Combat Club teamed up with Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz to take down Chris Jericho and his cronies of the so called "Jericho Appreciation Society".
Me: I think their acronym is J.A.S. a funny name, right?
The Amazing Ghost Musician: Yeah! But it's not just AEW, Impact Wrestling also had a great week with the return of their top wrestler "The Death Machine" Sami Callihan, and boy did he make one hell of a return.
Me: Hoo boy. And it looks like AEW's new video game is called Fight Forever. I like the title, but I wonder what other surprises await that game.
The Amazing Ghost Musician: We'll have to wait and find out once the game is released this fall.
Me: Anyway, we should explain the plot of the next chapter, don't you agree?
The Amazing Ghost Musician: Right! Now the next episode is going to replace that certain Beast Wars episode "Double Dinobot", since that episode wouldn't work in this story thanks to Garnet's prediction-like gem ability. Instead, it'll be half based on a certain episode of Steven Universe Future.
Me: Oh wow! Great idea, tell us all about it!
The Amazing Ghost Musician: In the next chapter, Optimus sends Steven, Pearl and Cheetor to find an Energon location underneath Beach City. During this, they find Pink Diamond's original Pink Pearl. And just so you know, it's name will not be "Volleyball" like they named it in that episode, we're gonna have a better one now for the Pink Pearl.
Me: Oh yeah! Please continue.
The Amazing Ghost Musician: When they find the Pink Pearl, they discover a crack on its face that becomes impossible to heal. So Steven, Pearl and Cheetor bring the Pink Pearl back to the base where Optimus and Rhinox will see if they can repair her or not.
Me: Oh man, that could be tricky.
The Amazing Ghost Musician: While that is going on, Garnet, Amethyst, Dinobot and Rattrap are all on another mission to see what the Predacons have planned. During the mission, Amethyst buttheads with Dinobot and Rattrap a couple of times. It will be reasoned that Garnet and Amethyst's fusion "Sugilite" might be needed for this mission later on, while Dinobot and Rattrap get ambushed by a couple of Predacon flyers (Not going to say who though), and they must avoid getting scrapped.
Me: Will Amethyst ever stop bickering with Rattrap and or Dinobot? I can't tell.
The Amazing Ghost Musician: I doubt it! Knowing that Amethyst can still be an immature "Wild Child" as Garnet puts it, and with Rattrap being a "Pain in the circuits", it's very likely that those two will continue to get on each other's nerves. Not to mention that Amethyst still doesn't trust Dinobot, since some of her still sees him as a Predacon.
Me: Hmm, well, in any event, is there more?
The Amazing Ghost Musician: Oh, one big surprise! Steven's friend Connie will finally be debuting in this coming chapter.
Me: OH YEAH! Now you're talking!
The Amazing Ghost Musician: Of course, we'll have Steven and Pearl introduce her to the Maximals, and she, like the Crystal Gems, also becomes an honorary Maximal.
Me: Alright, but will the Gem Maximals also debut in this chapter or are they for another day?
The Amazing Ghost Musician: Hopefully, the next chapter won't take more than a month to get done if we just create and plot the whole thing ahead of time.
Me: Ah, right.
The Amazing Ghost Musician: But for now, we both hope that you all enjoyed this chapter.
