Hey guys, I know I know I haven't uploaded in a while and I am very very sorry about that. I have been so busy with life issues lately and I haven't been able to write or upload at all.

I wanted to be able to upload 2 chapters, but I haven't been able to write the next chapter yet. I will try and get it up as soon as possible.

It had been a few days and I still haven't got a visit from my parents. Lucas and I were on the couch him sitting straight and me with my legs over his watching a movie when I heard the front door open and then shut. Wait that can't be...

"Brooklyn" it was. Oh my god. They are days late.

"Oh shit" I jump up just as mother came into the living area.

"What on earth is going on?" She says looking between Lucas and I "Brooke what are you doing?"

"I was expecting you days ago mother" I reply

"We got caught up with a client" mom states "and who are you?" she turned to Lucas who was sitting beside me.

"Mom don't be so rude"

"I'm Lucas" he says "nice to meet you"

"I think you best leave Lucas" Mom tells him and I was disgusted with how rude she was being.

Lucas turned to me and I gave him a sorry look "I'll see you Brooke" he nodded to me "miss Davis" he nods to my mom and then I watch him leave hearing the door open and then shut.

"Mom that was seriously rude. Why did you do that?"

"Oh don't worry about that boy Brooklyn tell me what on earth happened with Julian. Sylvia calls telling me that you and he broke up"

"Actually Julian broke up with me before summer" I correct her "and there isn't much to explain other than Julian and I are done for good"

"But Brooke what about the plan that we have" she says sounding sad that she is going to lose money if the merge doesn't happen.

"I don't care about the plan Mom. Julian isn't a good guy and I don't love him anymore"

"Oh but you love that Lucas boy I suppose" I nod and she scoffed shaking her head "Love doesn't matter Brooke"

"Actually it does and I don't want to be with someone who would rather dump me in public might I add to go and sleep with every girl in Tree Hill then expects me to come crawling back because of this so call plan you are talking about. Julian humiliated me Mom. He made me look and feel worthless, but Lucas. He makes me happy. He makes me really happy"

"Then that's all that matters" I turn my head to see my dad standing in the door way "Our intention wasn't to make you unhappy pumpkin we just wanted you to have a promising future"

"And I will dad just not with Julian. He and I can't be like we used to me anymore. Too much has happened for that"

"Richard you can't honestly think that this is a good idea. What about everything we planned with the Bakers"

"We can not force that on her Victoria. I understand your upset that the companies won't combine, but Brooke is our priority"

"Thank you dad" I run and hug him happy that at least he sees my side.

"But Richard you can't honestly think that boy is good for her?"

"He makes her happy Victoria and if Julian doesn't or didn't do that then yes I think he is good for her. We have to stop trying to control her life" I was relieved that Daddy finally realised that they can't run my life anymore. I needed to run my own life to be happy in what I want.

"I can't believe this" Victoria scoffed "we spoke about this on the plane Richard. We agreed that she was going to get back with Julian and do what was planned"

Wait what? I looked to dad and then to Mom "and how was you suppose to make me do that?"

"We were going to bring you to New York with us until you saw sense" Mom replied.

I shake my head with a laugh "wow and you really thought you could make me do that? I graduate really soon and I go to college in September"

"Okay we are going to stop this right now" Dad says sternly "yes that was the plan and I'm sorry Brooke, but then I over heard you talk about Julian and how unhappy you were so everything changed. The plan was what it was when you and he were together and you were happy, but I won't have my daughter be unhappy especially not for business" mom goes to talk again "I don't want to hear it anymore Victoria" dad says shutting mom up "I don't want you to be unhappy Brooke and if that means that you are happy with that Lucas boy then that's fine. I mean we will have dinner with him while we are in town though"

"Yes daddy" I mean that's the least I can do for him siding with me eventually over mother "we can do that"

"Good" dad nods "now Victoria We have to go meet with the Bakers" Mom just nodded not looking at me at all "we'll be staying for a few days pumpkin and dinner will be tomorrow night. See you later. Love you"

"Okay daddy. Love you too" I kiss his cheek and then they leave. Once I hear the front door shut I let out a long breath falling back on the couch.

I drove over to Lucas's house and park on the side walk. I get out and head up the side of the house to his bedroom door. I knock and wait for an answer. The door swung open and Lucas stood there with Lily sitting on his bed.

"Hey pretty girl" he smiles moving to the side "come in" I walk into his room and he shuts the door behind me.

"Hey Lil, I haven't seen you around much"

"I'm sorry about that" she nods "Joshua and I seem to spend too much time together especially now cheer season is over"

"That's okay" I reply "young love is always like that"

She gives me a smile "okay I'll let you guys talk. Bye Brooke" I wave as she leaves.

"So your Mom doesn't like me huh?" he states as I sit on his bed with my legs crossed.

"She's just upset because she isn't getting what she wants" I reply "don't take it personally. She had this plan set out ever since I was a baby and its come crashing down around her and she's mad more at me for letting it crash"

"But it wasn't you that let it crash, it was Julian's fault for being a dick and dumping you" I nod knowing that "so what was the outcome?"

"Dad basically agreed with me" I reply "Mom wasn't happy about that and threw a fit like she always does, but Dad stood firm and the plan isn't in motion anymore. They went to meet his parents"

"That's good then, but what about us?"

I look up at him confused "us? What do you mean?"

"Well your Mom doesn't like me. She mad that obviously and I only met her for 2 seconds"

"I don't care what or who my mother likes Lucas. I love you and you make me happy. Daddy knows that and he wants you to come to dinner with us tomorrow night" Lucas looked to me and I couldn't read his expression "Luke?"

"You want me to come to dinner with your parents?" I nod "Brooke I don't come from money like you and Julian. I can't compare to him"

I quickly jump up off his bed and go over to him kneeling down in front of him "Lucas you're right you can't compare to Julian because you are a better person than he is. You care about me for me not for money and not for a trophy wife and that is why I fell in love with you. My dad is a nice guy and my mom well she is a bitch, but she'll come round eventually"

"Okay" He says leaning in placing a kiss to my lips "I'll come to dinner with your parents for you because I love you too" I beam a smile at him and stand to my feet kissing him again. I then straddle him letting the conversation fade and the lust, love and affection take over.
