(Neko-chan needs a princess of his very own and Kirimi is determined to find the perfect one for her princely big brother!)
Kirimi was on a mission. She needed to save her big brother Umehito from himself, from his loneliness, from the darkness that he had to cloak himself with. The young Nekozawa girl understood now that her brother was forced to stay in the dark and she was more resillient to her fear of it but still, she wanted to put some kind of light into her big brother's life. Real light was out of the question though he did practice with flashlights at home when he thought she wasn't looking-- it still scared her even though she knew that he was doing that for her sake. Now it was Kirimi's turn to do her best.
But there was nothing wrong with asking for help. After all, she was almost four.
"Onii-chama!!" she yelled, announcing her presence as she entered the 3rd music room of the highschool, rose petals flying into her blond curls. And the little girl raced to the blond princely character, Tamaki, and jumped into his lap.
"Kirimi-chan!" The host club president was surprised but his wide amethyst eyes showed his happiness at the preschooler. He wrapped his arms around the small girl and hugged her happily. Judging from the smile on her face, she didn't mind so much.
But she was the only one. "To what do we owe this interruption? We are in the middle of club activities..."
The small blond looked over at the vice president and smiled. "Megane-sama! Hi!" She then sought out every member of the host club and greeted them accordingly. "Twincest! Silent type! Shouta-chan! And the Bookworm!"
The Bookworm, Haruhi, was the least bothered unless you count Honey's joy and Mori's stoicness. But the commoner approached the beaming blond and knelt down so they were face-to-face. "Kirimi-chan, why are you here? Did something happen with your brother?"
The bubbly Kirimi's smile lessened and she gripped the jacket sleeve that was still around her. "...big brother is in trouble..."
The twincest characters came closer and raised eyebrows. "Trouble? What, did he get stuck outside? Or maybe he lost his puppet again?" Kaoru, the younger twin, asked. He didn't seem overly concerned but he hated seeing people upset, especially when it wasn't the result of a Hitachiin trick.
She shook her head, her pigtails flowing back and forth. "That's not the problem. Big brother isn't hurt or anything but... his heart..."
"Nekozawa has a heart?" Hikaru asked bluntly. As the older twin, he was really only concerned with his brother's happiness as well as his immediate family and friends. But with his lack of compassion, it didn't take much to have him seeing red when his world seemed to be changing.
Haruhi elbowed Hikaru in his shin, glaring at him for not being nice. Then the feminine host turned back to Kirimi. "What happened to his heart? Maybe we can help...?"
"Big brother is lonely... he won't admit it but Kirimi can see it. A princely big brother needs a princess. So Kirimi wants to find him a princess that he can love and sing songs with like in the movies..." She smiled happily at the thought, stars in her eyes. It would be just like a real life shojo manga! But then she deflated. In her joy, she remembered something really important. "But Kirimi doesn't know any girls that could be Umehito-nii's princess. So Kirimi was hoping that Onii-chama would know of someone? Please?"
Tamaki winced at the idea of helping the dark prince of Ouran. Even after helping the Nekozawa siblings, he was still terrified of the curse-happy Black Magic Club. But as he looked down into the blue eyes of the preschooler, he found that he could not turn her down. He couldn't disappoint her. Not with that kicked-puppy look she had-- it only got sadder every second he didn't answer!
"We don't know anyone but that doesn't mean we can't help you look! The Host Club's mission is to make every lady happy-- and maybe that wayward princess is looking for her dark prince? So we would be making her and you happy, Kirimi-chan!"
Haruhi stood up and put his hands on his hips. "Senpai, remember, we can't make promises we can't keep! You're getting carried away again!"
"While it is true that Tamaki is being an idiot... it wouldn't hurt to help Nekozawa-senpai. If nothing else, it could benefit us greatly if we manage to pull it off. But then again, we hardly know anything about what type of girl Nekozawa-senpai would like." Kyoya lifted up his glasses as he began to flip to the page that held all of his info about Umehito Nekozawa. "Judging on his basic information, he would be best with a girl who wouldn't mind his dark occult tendencies..."
"No!" Kirimi shook her head. "Big brother needs someone who can be the light in his darkness! Like his full moon!" The twins started laughing even though the little girl maintained her innocent determination. "So being okay with the darkness is fine but he needs someone who can compliment him while bringing him a bit out of his darkness."
The club members gathered around, looking at each other. It wasn't like the concept was outrageous and they were surrounded by girls of all sorts. But those girls were all about the host club. None of them would switch from them to Umehito Nekozawa-- now that was a ridiculous idea.
Kirimi got off of Tamaki's lap and bowed her head. "Please help me. I can't search the high school as well as you can... and when I can come here, some of the girls are in their clubs or have gone home." Tears brimmed her blue eyes and one fell. "Kirimi needs help. She can't help save Umehito-nii...from the lonely darkness. Not by herself..." Another slipped down and she gripped the pink skirt of her uniform, her little body shaking from her own sadness, her own darkness. "Please...?"
A weight could be felt on her head and she looked up to find the tallest of the hosts looking down at her with a small smile. "We'll help you... if you stop crying. This is not a place for tears..."
Despite his words, her tears fell faster and she jumped into her arms, thanking him for their help. She hugged him with all her might, ignoring how the girls began to clap and cry out of happiness for the cute little girl. Renge was starting on her fourth bowl of rice from the moe of the situation. The strong and silent type promising to help the small girl with her whole-hearted mission was simply too much for the otaku to handle.
"So a girl who can be the moon in his darkness...what else should we be looking for?" Kyoya asked as he started writing in his black notebook.
"A pretty princess who can sing."
(I will be continuing this one. It's been sitting on my noggin for a while now.)
