Hello hello!
I've posted the first two chapters of Part II at once, so if you haven't read the other one, you should go back and read that one first, even though they don't need to be read in order. (As a bit of a heads up, I have no idea when I will post the next chapter...I honestly should take a proper break.)
Please leave a review and let me know what you think x

Riley Paddington was curled up on her side in Draco Potter's tent, listlessly staring at the two blood-warded chests the latter left behind.
The wind whistled against the tent's flaps, and Riley sighed softly. The gravity of her new reality was slowly settling over her. She hadn't even been on her own for that long—just over an hour—but perhaps it was the knowledge that no one would be coming back that bore down heavily on her mind.
I do have Draco's owl, Riley thought dully. With Midnight gone, perhaps she could adopt a dog. She'd always liked dogs, ever since she was a little girl.
She was just working through the logistics of acquiring said dog when everything in the world went still. As if everything in existence chose to collectively hold its breath for a single moment.
A rippling wave of magic rolled against Riley, and she blinked momentarily as she felt the power behind it. It left as quickly as it'd come. Draco had left the past. An undeniable fact considering what she'd just experienced.
It would be years before anyone remembered her. It was a fate she was resigned to, but, her heart clutched painfully as she contemplated the suffering her loved ones would soon endure.
It will be years before Sirius remembers me…and when he does, I wonder if he'll forgive me, Riley thought despondently.
Draco assured her that it would all be okay in the end, no matter what she might hear, Sirius would be okay. It was that hopeful thought that she clung to. So she would stay in hiding, and she'd wait. For as long as required, she'd wait.
