A/N: Yes I am really doing this. Doing two concurrent long term stories at once. With school right around the horizon. I really am crazy. Though with that being said. Welcome to Pokémon Unbound: Black and White. The goal of this fanfict is simple, rewrite Black and White to match Ash's competency to a degree that it can fit in Diamond and Pearl, and XY. Though I am pretty sure that after this fict is done I am sure that you will much rather watch through Pokémon the Series: Black and White again, then ever touch this story.
I am also trying to keep it close to what the anime would've done if executive meddling was minimal. So don't expect any fully loaded team of Legendary Pokémon, or harems.
Inspired by the various incomplete Black and White rewrites on this site as well as Pokémon Best Wishes: An Alternate Story (Hilda Joins Ash) by the Generic Ficer.
With that being said, I hope you enjoy this prologue that also happens to be a rewritten version of Diamond and Pearl's final episode to account for certain character changes.
POKEMON UNBOUND: DIAMOND AND PEARL: SINNOH LEAGUE VICTORS
DP:191
The beautiful Sinnoh sunlight shun through Twinleaf Town as a certain penguin woke up to the sound of a beeping Starly alarm clock.
"LUUUUPPP!" Piplup yawned as he awoke from his slumber. Though tired, Piplup slowly came to his senses. The senses that tell him that it is his duty to be the wake-up patrol today. The Piplup's trainer tried her best to stay asleep amidst the waddling of Piplup, but she was slowly coming back from the realm of dreams.
"Five more minutes," the girl moaned as Piplup tried to wake her up through more conventional methods.
"A little longer bit longer, please," the girl continued to moan as Piplup decided to stop wasting time and woke her up through one of the most unorthodox ways possible.
He used his Peck attack to wake the living daylights out of her.
"No one knows how to wake me up quite like you do," the girl lamented as she accidently sent Piplup flying to the other side of the room.
"Piplup I totally forgot we're back home," the girl stated as she looked out of her window to see the sight of marvelous day in Twinleaf Town. The girl and Piplup looked idly at the glistening plains of Twinleaf Town. Though in the back of their heads they knew this was going to be the last day they would spend with their traveling companions as they were due to leave Sinnoh by boat later that day.
MEMOROIES ARE MADE OF BLISS
Upon getting mostly changed for the day, missing only her signature beanie and yellow hairclips. The girl and her Piplup made their way towards the kitchen of the house to be greeted by one of her traveling companions, an aspiring Pokémon Breeder named Brock, as well as the Pikachu owned by the other one of her companions, Ash.
"Good morning," the girl said.
"Good morning, Dawn," Brock responded while finally giving this girl, who in this story is the equivalent to a character of the day, a name.
"Pi-ka!" Pikachu stated as he rolled over on some random ball he found lying around.
"Good morning, Dawn," Dawn's mother said while finishing up breakfast.
"Anyone know where Ash is?" Dawn asked wondering where the Pikachu's trainer was.
"Ash is still fast asleep," Brock stated.
"Pi Pika Pika," Pikachu happily stated as he hopped off his ball.
"Wow Pikachu your sure up early," Dawn noted as she got a rather mischievous idea.
"Ok you two, I say we should… wake up Mr. Sleepyhead," Dawn stated to an agreement of Pokémon cries.
"Dawn, you could just let him sleep in," Dawn's mother tried to say to deaf ears. Meanwhile the trio of Dawn, Pikachu, and Piplup snuck into the guest room our sleepy hero was dozing off in.
"Sound asleep alright," Dawn whispered ready to execute her plan of waking up Ash.
"Pika Pika," Pikachu whispered as he wanted to wake up Ash in a rather shocking fashion.
"You wanna do the honors, Pikachu?" Dawn asked the already willing Pikachu.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said ready to unleash the power of 10,000 volts on his friend. Pikachu slowly walked to the bedside of our hero who was more than likely dreaming of winning a Pokémon League. Piplup cheered on Pikachu as he used Thunderbolt on his buddy.
"PIKAAAAAAACHUUUUUUUUU!" Pikachu exclaimed as he sent 10,000 volts traveling through his trainer. On the plus side after the surprising lighting, Ash finally woke up.
"Pika Pika," Pikachu stated as Ash felt the aftereffects of the Thunderbolt.
"Oh, hey Pikachu… Good Morning," Ash said rather electrifying.
"There is nothing like a Pikachu styled wakeup call, right Ash," Dawn said waltzing into the room, "Somehow I thought you would want to know its breakfast time."
"BREAKFAST! Why didn't you say so," Ash exclaimed apparently recovering from the recent 10,000 volts rushing through his body.
"Pikachu let's go," Ash said as he grabbed Pikachu and made a beeline to the kitchen, blissfully unaware of a thing called stairs. Dawn and Piplup could only watch as Ash and Pikachu comically fell down the stairs.
"You, okay? Ash?" Dawn asked a little bit worried about the safety of her friend.
"Believe it or not, no need to worry," Ash said at the bottom of the stairs face first on the ground.
Meanwhile right outside of Twinleaf Town, the Team Rocket Trio were upset at the prospects of not doing anything of note during their time in Sinnoh.
"Get ready for da tummy rumble express," an exhausted Meowth stated as he collapsed on the ground.
"I am at the edge of the tip," the blue haired guy wearing a white uniform with a distinct 'R' on it mumbled as he too collapsed on the ground.
"Huh, end of the line," the third member stated wearing the same uniform as the man, expect with a midcut in the stomach. Before she as well met the same fate as her teammates.
"Wobbuffet," Wobbuffet stated as he bowed down in exhaustion.
"We need a groovy gift from the boss to stoke the ol' fire," Meowth stated feeling like his days were numbered.
"And deliver that mail express," The TRio said in agony as they watched a certain Delibird fly from the sunlight to deliver them the goods. Or so they hoped.
"Huh, what's that?" James asked.
"Delibird!" The Delibird cried as he landed in front of the devasted quartet.
"Delibird Ho!" The Team Rocket Trio cried in hope.
"With commissions in tow," Jessie stated as she saw the package Delibird was holding.
"Is that a sack lunch?" The TRio asked their apparent savior, as Jessie added, "Spill the beans. I just love beans. Yeah"
"It's chao time hurray!" James gleefully exclaimed.
"Delibird," Delibird said as he smugly handed Team Rocket their next assignment.
"Beans don't come in a book," Jessie said as the TRio looked in confusion about the packet.
"Its from headquarters," Meowth said as the TRio started looking in the contents of the book. Delibird took this time to fly into the horizon, never to be seen again. Or will he?
"Wait don't desert," Jessie and James cried in tandem as their savior flew into parts unknown.
"Hey, get a load of dis," Meowth said catching the attention of the other two.
"Hey, fill us in," Jessie said wanting to know what Meowth was trying to read.
"Greetings, Jessie, James, and Meowth please contact headquarters immediately. For what?" Meowth asked wondering why the boss would want them.
"For us," Jessie said.
"That in itself deserves a reward," James added.
"Operators standing by, let's call," Meowth threw in.
"Wobbuffet," Wobbuffet finished unaware he was going to be left in the dust this time around, but for how long?
"The truth is I am the one who sent you Delibird," the secretary said to the horror of the Team Rocket TRio.
"Not the dear boss," Jessie and James stated in tandem at the shocking revelations.
"Our loss," The TRio said in hopelessness.
"Mr. Giovanni has asked me to inform you that he has a special mission for you, and you alone," the secretary, who probably won't be named till later this episode at best or until Sun and Moon at worst, said.
"Exclusively ours?" The TRio asked in surprise.
"An order from the top down," James stated.
"Some drop," Jessie at shock the boss would even give them a special mission.
"We'll fill you in on the details at headquarters, I suggest you come quickly," Matori said as she closed the call. Meanwhile the TRio cried for joy about how all those hardships and struggles came into this defining moment.
"I informed the agents assigned to the project to report here immediately," the secretary said as Giovanni looked through the reports at his desk.
"Well done, thank you," Giovanni stated before adding, "you can go now." The secretary walked out, as Persian was shocked at the people that the secretary recommended. Why out of the millions of Team Rocket agents would Giovanni approve those three losers to go on a special mission to the Unova Region.
While our heroes were talking about their future after eating breakfast, Dawn suggested something that made Piplup a little upset.
"I have been thinking that we need to travel alone," Dawn stated out of the blue much to the horror of Piplup.
"Luuup?" Piplup said in confusion thinking he didn't hear his trainer correctly.
"Why do you say that Dawn?" Brock asked wondering what made Dawn want to travel alone.
"Kenny, he is so determined to follow my dream, and I realized that if I went to achieve my dream than I have to try just as hard as him," Dawn stated, much to the upset Piplup.
"That's the spirit, Dawn, go and follow your dreams. I am sure that you can become a Top Coordinator!" Ash exclaimed in full support of his friend. Piplup was getting aggravated, it was hard to cope with the fact that his trainer was about to part ways with their friends.
"Piplup, are you ok?" Dawn asked as she could see that Piplup was about to break down in tears at the thought of leaving his friends.
"Piplup," Piplup said a bit down at the prospect of saying goodbye.
"Pika Pikachu," Pikachu said as he tried to console the young Penguin Pokémon.
"Yeah, me and Pikachu have had to say goodbye many times along the way," Ash said trying to give Piplup some hope, "I am sure that we will meet again somewhere down the road."
"Ash is right, we have parted ways with many friends over the course of our adventures," Brock explained, "But we know that its not goodbye forever, we will meet again. Which reminds me, Ash, Dawn, Pikachu, Piplup, after some thinking over, and seeing y'all trying to achieve your dreams. After some recent events, I realize that I am going to try to become a Pokémon Doctor."
"A Pokémon Doctor?" The two young trainers said in unison.
"Pika?"
"Piplup?"
"Yes but with the work required I won't have anytime to continue our journey," Brock explained to the group.
"I understand, go for it Brock," Ash said in full support of his friend.
"Good luck," Dawn said in agreement with Ash. However, with that being said, the moment was ruined by a well-timed net and motto.
"PIKA!"
"PIPLUP!"
"Alright who did that?" Ash asked as a barrage of laughing came from a Meowth Balloon.
"Listen is that a twerpish voice I hear?"
"It speaks to me loud and clear!"
"On the wind," Jessie exclaimed.
"Past the stars," James said.
"In your ear," Meowth continued.
"Bringing chaos at a breakneck pace."
"Dashing hope and putting fear in its place."
"A rose by any other name, is just as sweet."
"When everything is done our work is complete."
"Jessie!"
"And its James!"
"And Meowth now that's a name!"
"Putting the do-gooders in their place…"
"…We're Team Rocket…"
"…In your face!"
"Wobbuffet!"
"Mime Mime!"
"Team Rocket!" Ash and his friends exclaimed as they took off with Piplup and Pikachu in their Meowth Balloon.
"Well, we wish you luck doctor twerp, looks like we both got bigger things to attend to," Jessie said as they waved goodbye.
"Not yet, Staraptor use Brave Bird!" Ash exclaimed as he tossed out the Pokéball containing the awesome bird Pokémon.
"Togekiss, help out Staraptor!" Dawn requested as Togekiss preformed its Air Slash attack to cut the rope while Staraptor blazed into the Meowth Balloon. Completely destroying the aerial craft, the TRio has used since the beginning.
"No, our gifts to the boss!" Meowth cried as Pikachu and Piplup hitched a ride back to their trainers.
"Is everyone ok?" Dawn asked as the Pokémon nodded.
"That won't do," Jessie said as she readied her two Pokémon.
"Here is a solution!" James said holding his remaining Pokéball.
"To make you not ok!" Meowth exclaimed as he readied his Furry Swipe attack.
"Wobbuffet!"
"Alright let's go!" Ash exclaimed as the trio of trainers started down the Team Rocket Trio.
"Seviper, Yammega its twerp time!" Jessie exclaimed as the two Pokémon were released ready to fight for the sake of Team Rocket.
"Seviper!"
"Yammega!"
"Carnivine don't let them get ahead!" James yelled as Carnivine went for James' head.
"I don't want you to get my head, use Bullet Seed!" James said in a desperate attempt to keep his head today.
"Carnivine!" Carnivine said as he spited out a ton of seeds.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash exclaimed.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu exclaimed as the Thunderbolt fought off the Bullet Seeds, though Carnivine was able to get away.
"Togekiss use your Air Slash!" Dawn exclaimed as Togekiss landed a perfect shot on Carnivine, while Yammega flew into the path of the Togekiss.
"Alright Yammega Steel Wing!" Jessie commanded as she predicted the Fairy Type about one generation too early.
"Staraptor Aerial Ace Go!" Ash ordered as Staraptor quickly went towards the Yammega.
"I'm revving it up to give you my furry swipes!" Meowth exclaimed as he went charging towards Brock. All the while Mime Jr. was cheering on in the background.
"Sudowoodo use Hammer Arm!" Brock exclaimed as he sent Sudowoodo out of his Pokéball.
"Sudowoodo!" Sudowoodo exclaimed as he nailed Meowth down by the head knocking him back towards the other Team Rocket members.
"Seviper, Poison Tail!" Jessie commanded as Seviper went for one final Poison Tail.
"Seviper!"
"Torterra use Energy Ball!" Ash exclaimed as he threw Torterra's Pokéball to protect against the oncoming poison attack.
"Torterra!" Torterra shouted as he sent an Energy Ball heading towards Seviper's direction. The attack made contact causing Seviper to fly back towards Team Rocket leading to one final attack from Ash and Dawn.
"Pikachu, Volt Tackle!"
"Piplup, Hydro Pump!"
Pikachu started running at superfast speeds shouting "Pikapikapikapikapikapikapikapikapika…" before getting enveloped by an electric yellow aura. Meanwhile Piplup's Hydro Pump homed in directly behind Pikachu creating a combo attack. Much to the frighten Team Rocket, as always, the ensuring explosion caused Team Rocket to blast through the sky, conveniently towards headquarters. Hopefully Giovanni won't mind a broken window too much. The citizens of Twinleaf Town could only see the villains blast off into the midday sun.
"Oh, we don't have a gift for the boss," Meowth said in disappointment.
"We have the greatest gift the boss who could use our expertise could went. Us!" Jessie exclaimed in glee.
"So, this is the perfect time to flee!" James exclaimed.
"We're blasting off to… VICTORY!" The TRio exclaimed followed by a "Wobbuffet" as they disappeared into a twinkle. Little did they know that would be one of the last times they would blast off for awhile.
"Dawn," Dawn's mother said poking her head outside the house, "The match between Cynthia and Flint is going on."
"It is!" Ash exclaimed, "Come on we got no time to wait!"
"Pikachu," Pikachu said as he followed his trainer inside the house while everybody else looked a bit confused, including the Staraptor and Torterra who have yet to be recalled. Ash was able to get invested in the battle as Flint's Infernape and Cynthia's Garchomp went head-to-head with each other. Infernape charging through a Draco Meteor field using Flare Blitz while Garchomp went head on using Dragon Tail. It was about this time as Ash envisioned himself facing off against Cynthia and her Garchomp, with him and his Infernape for the title of Champion of Sinnoh. Though all good battles have to end as Infernape charged in a rampage using Flare Blitz, while Garchomp used Dragon Rush. Though both attacks made contact, Flint's Infernape went down as the recoil of Flare Blitz was too strong for the well trained Infernape. Once again proving why Cynthia is the bane of many people's Sinnoh adventures.
"Can anyone beat her?" The announcer said as the camera panned over the downed Infernape.
"Yeah, I can," Ash said highly confident in his Pokémon training abilities. It would be a shame if we reboot right now…
"That came out of nowhere," Dawn said having made it into the room in time to see the end of the match.
"No way Dawn, its always on my mind, someday somehow I will enter the Champion League and become a Champion," Ash explained.
"Pika Pika Pika!" Pikachu said adding on to what Ash said.
"Your right, of course that means I will be one step closer to being a Pokémon Master!" Ash exclaimed.
"So, if I am getting this right, Ash will be a Pokémon Master, Brock will be a Pokémon Doctor, and I will be a Top Coordinator," Dawn said, "sounds good to me, and no need to worry."
"Whenever you say no need to worry, that's when I worry the most," Ash said having fun with Dawn a bit.
"No need, Ash. This time I am right," Dawn assured the Ketchum boy. The three then laughed it off one last time as the clock struck 3:00pm.
"Its 3:00 you two, its almost time to go," Dawn's mother said putting everything back into reality.
The three of them realized that the journey had ended. Around the same time the TRio crashed into Team Rocket Headquarters. Though a bit aggravated, Giovanni calmed down enough to tell the TRio of their newest assignment.
"Jessie, James, Meowth what is Team Rocket's number one goal?" Giovanni calmly asked the frightful TRio, eventually Jessie maned up and gave a response.
"Our goal is to capture powerful Pokémon," Jessie said.
"Pokémon that are powerful and rare," James added.
"And to use them to take over the world," Meowth finished.
"Very good, we are now in the process of assembling a most powerful squadron of Pokémon. One that can be used to take over the world," Giovanni explained before showing them a map of an unknown region.
"What's this?" Jessie asked.
"The Unova Region, a new stepping stone that will move us towards the successful completion of our plan," Giovanni stated, "But in order for you to remain undetected, you must rid yourself of your past Pokémon, expect you Meowth. Because you're talking ability will prove quite handily." Jessie and James looked a little saddened by the news, as they took one final look at their Pokémon that were standing there. Wobbuffet who was gotten in a trade in Johto and has acted like the fourth member of the Team Rocket Trio, Seviper the snake Pokémon who has come in clutch ever since Arbok left. Mime Jr. was the Pokémon tugging James' heartstrings the most, it was the Pokémon that felt closest to the only happy thing in his life. Finally, Carnivine, the childhood Pokémon of James who was treated like a loyal friend, who would do anything to protect his master.
The Pokémon agreed to part ways in order to allow their friends a chance at a better life, Team Rocket style.
"Farewell!" Jessie, James, and Meowth stated as their Pokèballs were confiscated by several Team Rocket grunts, as there Pokémon were led away by Team Rocket grunts never to be seen again. The TRio did all they could to hold back their tears, as their beloved friends were carted away. Until Giovanni allowed them to grieve for a moment.
"We will never forget you!" Jessie bawled.
"I promise we will come back once we complete our mission," James cried to his heart content.
"Take care! Live your best life!" Meowth said waving farewell. Pokémon cries could be heard echoing throughout Team Rocket Headquarters.
"Now with that done with. Your mission is to scout out the Unova Region, since Cassidy and Pitch got themselves captured," Giovanni explained, "With your expertise on defeating other organizations like Team Magma, Aqua, and Galactic. As well, as people like Pokémon Hunter J, there is no doubt that you will win the day for Team Rocket." The sadness ceased in Jessie and was replaced by a sense of superiority as Cassidy was captured and was probably being subjected to whatever cruel fate her capturers had for her. While James and Meowth still felt down in the dumps.
"Now go change into proper Team Rocket attire, and get to work," Giovanni stated as Jessie, James, and Meowth did just that.
"Giovanni do you really think those three are up to the mission?" the secretary asked, having read over the entirety of the TRio's files.
"I am hoping that they will try to capture that boy's Pikachu before they leave," Giovanni stated, "I know that somehow that boy gets involved and aids in defeating the enemy organization. I think he could unintentionally become a great asset to Team Rocket, so long as he doesn't know what is going on."
"Persian."
Brock came rushing out of the souvenir store holding a ton of bags.
"That's a lotta of stuff Brock," Ash said in surprise at the number of bags Brock was holding.
"I've got nine brothers and sisters in that family of mine," Brock said reminding Ash of them, "Not to mention all the lovely Nurse Joys and Officer Jennies in Kanto…" Brock said before getting Poison Jabbed by a certain Croagunk.
"Since when was it against the law to dream," Brock cringed as he fell onto the dock, meanwhile Croagunk picked up the bags of Brock before he dropped them.
"Croagunk," Croagunk said as he self-appointed himself Brock's reality checker for the boat ride back.
"Ash, Brock one thing. Thank you so much," Dawn stated.
"No thank you," Ash replied.
"Yeah, thank you," Brock added.
"One last thing before you depart," Dawn said as she made an advance towards Ash raising her hand.
Ash chuckled, as he did the same, "Yeah."
"Pikachu."
"Piplup," as they did the same thing before Ash, Pikachu, Brock, and Croagunk boarded the boat. Dawn was holding back tears about her friends leaving. Until Ash said one thing.
"Noooo neeeeed toooo worrrry!" Ash yelled the signature phrase of Dawn, causing Dawn to run up to the dock, and shout in response, "ASH, Pikachu, Brock, Croagunk THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!"
"PIPLUP, PIPLUP!" Piplup cried as the duo waved to their friends on the boat, while the quartet on the boat did the same. Once out of sight Piplup jumped on the shoulder of his trainer as they embrace each other.
Later, Ash and Brock are finally at the point of departing for the final time. The signpost just outside of Viridian City, one pointing for the direction of Pallet Town, and the other Pewter City.
"I guess this is it," Ash said, "Remember the days when we traveled around with Misty."
"Yeah, I sure do, those were the days. I've learned so much on this journey. I can still remember when you were just a cocky trainer from Pallet Town," Brock said remembering the good ol' days.
"I wasn't that cocky, but Pokémon Doctor Brock it was an honor to travel with you," Ash stated offering his hand for one last broshake.
"Pokémon Master Ash it's the same here," Brock said grabbing Ash's hand, thereby accepting the broshake.
"I believe in you," Ash stated.
"And I believe in you too," Brock replied.
"Yes," the duo said in tandem followed by a "Pikachu". The two hands slipped as the two went their separate ways one last time. Though not really as they know they will meet again, somewhere. They don't know where, they just know they will meet again.
"Well, there it is Pikachu, home sweet home," Ash stated ready to see his mother for the first time in a while. He knocked on the door.
"Pikachu."
The door opened revealing a young woman in her late 20's, "Sweetie your home," Mrs. Ketchum said as she hugged her son after his long journey.
"Mom!" Ash said in cheerfulness as he hugged his mother for the first time in a long time.
"Let's get you something to eat," Mrs. Ketchum said as she started walking into the kitchen. However, before Ash could follow.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu stated trapped in a new steel cage shot by some lovely charming villains in a new Team Rocket themed balloon to boot.
"Who did that?" Ash said as he tried to open the cage.
"What a question, twerpish indeed!"
"Will answer the questions as we fell the need!"
"Bringing the blinding white light of justice into the future."
"Thrusting the hammer of justice down onto the black darkness of the universe."
"Craving our names into the rock of eternity."
"The fiery destroyer, Jessie!"
"And with thunderous emotion, I am James!"
"Wisest of the wise, Meowth!"
"Now gather under the name of Team Rocket!" All three of them said, before Meowth retracted the steel cage, with Ash holding onto to it.
"Ash!" Mrs. Ketchum said in fear, as she saw her son dangling holding onto the cage.
"Don't think a new motto, or a change of clothes can help you today!" Ash exclaimed, "Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"
"PIKACHU!" Pikachu screamed releasing the full 10,000 volts.
"Not today, its electric proof, and don't think Staraptor is goin' to help either twerp, give up while you still can," Meowth bold calmed.
"NEVER!" Ash said as he tried to grab Staraptor's Pokéball only to accidently unclip his entire Pokéball belt. For the Pokéball belt fell to the ground. Mrs. Ketchum desperately searched for Staraptor's Pokéball, while Mr. Mime tried to open the cage using his psychic powers.
"We can't allow mama twerpette to interfere," Jessie stated as she shot a futuristic taser towards Mrs. Ketchum and Mr. Mime paralyzing them long enough for the Team Rocket Trio to escape.
"MOM!" Ash shout as he held onto Pikachu's cage for dear life.
"It looks like we got a twerpish stowaway," James stated, "We should probably help him out."
"We're the top agents now," Jessie insisted, "We show no mercy to our enemies, now."
"Ugh, if you insist," Meowth sighed.
"I CAN HEAR YOU!" Ash yelled as he struggled to hold on to Pikachu's cage.
"Pikapi!" Pikachu said as Ash's hands started to slip, with Pikachu grabbing hold of his buddy.
"There is no need to worry Pikachu, we'll be fine," Ash said optimistically.
"This is the end of the line for you, twerp," Jessie stated, "We won you lost." Even though Ash could feel his hands slowly slipping. He had enough willpower to hold on for the stake, of his family, friends, Pokémon, and dream.
"I WILL NEVER LET GO!" Ash screamed as the balloon powered by rocket thrusters, blasted off towards a new region. All the while, Delia could only look in shock as her son was taken right before her very eyes.
"Jessie, there seems to be a thunderstorm heading right towards us," James said as he checked the systems to see if the balloon was ready for some lighting.
"Noted," Jessie stated.
Down on the ground, a girl with messy brown hair, a white shirt, and a vest rode her bike in front of the regional Professor's lab, ready for her first Pokémon. Unaware of the danger lurking above.
"What's that?" The girl asked as she took cover, while a storm was brewing right above a hot air balloon, and a boy? And a Pokémon in a cage.
Back in the air, Ash was clinging close to Pikachu as a blue lighting bolt homed onto to Pikachu.
"What…" Ash started.
"the…" James continued.
"heck?" Jessie said in tandem as the lighting struck the balloon. Causing the entire steel cage to fall from the sky, with Ash and Pikachu in tow. The Team Rocket Trio were sent flying with their generic Team Rocket Balloon to another part of the area. Ash and Pikachu could've sworn they saw an electrical dragon on their way down.
"WHOA!"
"PIKACHU!" The duo said as they plummeted to the ground.
NEXT TIME…
A NEW BEGINNING!
