Hello. Let's do this. Goodbye.

NOTE: ..it's a lot. I decided to make this into two chapters but I've started on the next chapter so my plan is to have it up in 1 or 2 days. That's the plan. Please enjoy.

I OWN NOTHING.

''I feel like you get more beautiful every time I look at you, my love,'' Inuyasha told Kagome as he ran his fingers through her hair.

''That's simply your imagination,'' Kagome said while she put her shoes back on.

''I got a call from Miroku this morning,'' Inuyasha informed her.

''What did he say?'' Kagome asked anxiously.

''Sesshomaru got back this morning,'' Inuyasha revealed.

Kagome shook her head. ''I don't know that it matters. If Rin ever finds out that Sesshomaru went on a trip with Sara for the past seven months-''

''What did you say?''

Kagome and Inuyasha's eyes snapped towards the door to see Rin standing there.

''Rin..'' Kagome whispered.

''Sesshomaru went on our honeymoon with Sara?'' Rin questioned angrily. ''Tell me the truth!''

''You told Kagome about the letter you sent, so that day I went to check on Sesshomaru and try and make him see reason once he read your letter but..when I got there it was already too late. Miroku told me Sara convinced Sesshomaru for them to go on a trip for a while so he could try and forget you. He didn't even get a chance to read your letter you sent,'' Inuyasha explained.

Rin's eyes widened and filled with tears.

''Rin, friend, are you alright? What are you going to do?'' Kagome asked her.

Rin scoffed. ''Oh, don't worry. I know exactly what I'm going to do.''

''Good morning, Mr. Soma,'' Sesshomaru greeted the man waiting in his office.

''Good morning. I'm at your service, Mr. Takashi,'' Mr. Soma responded. ''What can I do for you?''

''I want a divorce as soon as possible,'' Sesshomaru explained to him.

Soma nodded. ''I understand.''

''But there's a problem. My current wife is pregnant,'' Sesshomaru informed him.

Soma nodded. ''Indeed, that is a complicated problem.''

''The baby isn't mine,'' Sesshomaru growled.

''Excuse me, do you have any way to prove that?'' Soma asked him.

''Not until it's born,'' Sesshomaru sighed.

''Then, we should just wait,'' Soma said.

Sesshomaru shook his head. ''No, I'm tired of waiting, sir. My wife deceived me. She hid her lover in this house and I have the evidence they slept together. They conceived their child here, under my roof. I don't want to remain tied to a woman like her, it's not fair. I have a right to rebuild my life, to get married, to have children that have my blood. I have money, Mr. Soma. And I'm willing to spend any amount to be rid of that woman as soon as possible.''

''Don't worry, I'll take the matter into my own hands right away,'' Soma promised him just as there was a knock at the door.

''Sesshomaru, a lawyer, Solis, is looking for you,'' Miroku informed Sesshomaru and let the man into the office.

''Good morning, Solis Kurasawa,'' He introduced himself. ''I'm a lawyer, and I represent your wife's interests, Mrs. Rin Takashi.''

''Have a seat,'' Sesshomaru told him. ''What can I do for you?''

''Thank you. I'm here to present you with divorce papers by mutual consent as Mrs. Takashi requested,'' Solis handed the papers over to Sesshomaru. ''If you sign these documents, besides agreeing to a divorce by mutual consent you're also resigning all rights over the child about to be born.''

Sesshomaru's eyes widened. ''

''May I, Mr. Takashi?'' Soma requested the papers and Sesshomaru handed them over to let him go through them. ''Congratulations. It appears that things will be easier and you won't need to spend a single yen. If you sign these documents, you'll be legally divorced from Mrs. Takashi. And what's even better, free of any commitment to the child the woman is carrying. Do you need my pen?''

''No, I'm not signing anything,'' Sesshomaru finally voiced.

''I'm sorry, wasn't that what you wanted?'' Soma questioned.

''Yes,'' Sesshomaru snapped. ''But I don't understand why Rin took the first step. It's me who should ask for a divorce, not her.''

''Excuse me, but you can't let this chance go to waste,'' Soma tried to persuade him. ''If this ends up in a trial, it will be long and tedious for both sides.''

''Mrs. Takashi isn't asking for anything, she doesn't want one yen of your money. But you would give up parental rights to the child about to be born,'' Solis reminded him.

''This is a gift,'' Soma told him. ''I'm telling you as your lawyer sign those documents now.''

''I don't understand. I don't understand why Rin is doing this. I can't sign without first understanding what's going on. What is my wife trying to do? Have me request a paternity test?'' Sesshomaru questioned.

"No, on the contrary,'' Solis denied. ''My client won't object to a DNA test. But you should know that by signing these documents you're giving up your child regardless of the result those tests show.''

''Mr. Takashi, I apologize for interrupting, but are you sure that child isn't yours?'' Soma asked him. ''I don't see a problem. Your wife doesn't want your money and this divorce is completely advantageous to you. I advise you to sign. Sign, Mr. Takashi.''

''I told you I'm not signing anything,'' Sesshomaru snarled.

Two days later, it was evening time.

''Friend, thank you for coming accompanying me to the concert I'm having at the cultural center,'' Kagome locked arms with Rin to help her down the stone path leaving her house. ''You know Naraku promised I'd participate with a piano recital.''

''Relax. You'll do great, as always,'' Rin grinned. ''Besides, I love a good cause. Raising money for single mothers-who knows? Maybe I'll need that.''

''Don't say that, Rinny,'' Kagome told her.

''Kagome, it's true. I'm a single mother,'' Rin shrugged. ''And my family is having money troubles again. I invited Julia. She should be here any second.''

''I heard she and Kohaku got married,'' Kagome replied.

Rin nodded. ''Julia is over the moon with happiness. I'm so glad for both of them. Look, here she comes. Don't tell her anything about my situation with Sesshomaru. She doesn't know yet.''

''Don't worry,'' Kagome assured her. ''Hello.''

''Hi!'' Julia greeted them. ''Am I late?''

''No, no, you're right on time,'' Rin assured her.

''Oh, great,'' Julia smiled.

''Let's get going. The driver is waiting for us,'' Kagome said. ''Take my hand, Rinny.''

''Thanks,'' Rin replied and used Kagome's help to get in the car.

''Sesshomaru, what are you doing in the dark?''

''Where's Sara?'' Sesshomaru asked Miroku. ''I haven't seen her all afternoon.''

''Well, if you don't know, why would I?'' Miroku shot back before sitting across from Sesshomaru. ''The Father came by in the afternoon.''

''What did he want?'' Sesshomaru asked.

''No, nothing, just to say hi,'' Miroku answered him. ''He asked if we knew something of Mrs. Rin. Hey, do you think the baby was born already?''

''I don't know or care,'' Sesshomaru growled.

''You really don't care?'' Miroku questioned.

''No,'' Sesshomaru snapped and stood up to leave.

''Hey, wait,'' Miroku stopped him. ''Let's talk, man. Don't be like that.''

''What do you want to talk about? If it's Rin, I'm not interested,'' Sesshomaru told him.

''Well, if you want to, we can talk about something else-about cows or sheep,'' Miroku sneered. ''Do you really not care?''

''I don't want to talk about that, Miroku,'' Sesshomaru said. ''It's a wound that hasn't healed.''

''You're still in love, right?'' Miroku assumed.

''I don't know. I don't know but-I think about her all day long,'' Sesshomaru admitted. ''With anger, with rage, in every way, but she's always on my mind.''

''Well, the Father says, that it's not true that she betrayed you,'' Miroku said.

''When did you talk to him about that?'' Sesshomaru asked.

''Whenever I see him, he talks about the same thing,'' Miroku answered. ''He says he knows it's not true that the Mrs. cheated on you with him. And that you're going to hell for everything you did to her, for not accepting your kid. Because the Father swears that the kid is yours. Hey, Sesshomaru, what if the Father is right? And the kid really is your son? That would be very sad, right? He'd be all alone. And then, when you're no longer married, and the Mrs. marries someone else, imagine the poor kid saying ''dad'' to someone who's not. And go figure how he'll treat him. And then, that will be sad, right?''

Sesshomaru didn't say anything.

''As mayor of Kamakura, I'm very proud to have with me this loving woman and above all-above all so giving. She's held my hand through my worries to support all social causes. Beautiful people of Kamakura-my fine people of Kamakura-please give a rousing applause-a warm applause for Kagome Onigumo,'' Naraku introduced his wife at the concert hall that evening causing everyone to clap.

Kagome came out on stage and allowed Naraku to take her hand to kiss it. ''You do know that as I play the piano, I'll be thinking of Inuyasha, right?'' Kagome said to him in a hushed tone while smiling brightly at him.

''Of course, my love,'' Naraku returned her smile before pressing his lips to hers and leaving the stage for her to perform.

As Kagome played the piano she and Inuyasha stared into each other's eyes from afar and his parents watched them both fondly.

''Rin, are you alright?'' Julia asked Rin.

Rin shifted uncomfortably in her seat. ''Yes. I think I just need some air. I won't be long.''

''Should I go with you?'' Julia offered.

''No, no, no, no. There's no need, thanks,'' Rin stood up and quietly went out of the room. Rin leaned up against a wall and tried to breathe deeply and slowly but the pain began to get worse with every minute until Rin began to yell in agony.

''Rin, sweetie, are you alright?'' Izayoi rushed over to her.

''We're here, dear,'' Inutashio assured her and helped her lean on him for support.

''Are you okay?'' Inuyasha asked her.

''No, no, no, I'm not okay, God, help me,'' Rin cried.

''What do you want me to do?'' Inuyasha questioned. ''Call Sesshomaru?''

''No! Not Sesshomaru,'' Rin whimpered and held her stomach. ''I want Sayo. I need her.''

''Inuyasha, call an ambulance. Now!'' Izayoi shouted at him while taking Rin's hand. ''She's going into labor!''

''What if Father Jaken is right? What if the child is mine?'' Sesshomaru questioned. ''I'm always thinking about her. Always, always, always.''

''Ahhhhhh! No, I can't, I can't!'' Rin cried.

''You have to be strong for your son, Rin! You can do this!'' Rin's doctor tried to encourage her.

''I can see him, Rin! Just one more push, please!'' Sayo pleaded with Rin.

''It hurts so much, Sayo, it hurts so much!'' Rin whimpered.

''That pain will turn into an enormous love when your baby comes into this world, Rin,'' Sayo reminded her. ''Please, Rin, I want to hold my nephew!''

''You told me you didn't have any family, Sayo!'' Rin yelled at her.

''You knew I wasn't telling the truth, Rin. You've always known it,'' Sayo cried. ''It's my nephew that's being born, Rin! It's my nephew!''

''You have to push, Rin!'' Her doctor told her.

''Oh, my God!'' Rin sobbed.

''One more push, Rin! Please! Do it for me!'' Sayo begged her. ''Give me the chance to hold that baby in my arms and give him lots of kisses! Please, Rin! Please!''

Rin screamed in pain while she pushed as hard as she could.

''Push, hard! That's it! Here he comes!'' Rin's doctor exclaimed until finally a baby's cry filled the room.

Rin finally collapsed onto her hospital bed from exhaustion, crying.

''He's beautiful, Rin,'' Sayo laughed happily. ''And healthy! He looks exactly like his dad!''

''Here you are, Rinny,'' The doctor handed her, her newborn son. ''Hold your son.''

Rin began to cry from happiness when she looked at her son for the first time. ''Hello, my love. Finally, finally, finally, I get to hold you in my arms. My son! My beautiful baby boy. I'm your mommy. Look, look who's here. Your aunt. Your aunt, Sayo.''

''My beautiful nephew,'' Sayo smiled.

''Excuse me, I have to take the baby now,'' A nurse told Rin.

''No, no, please, let me be with him a little longer!'' Rin pleaded.

''Your baby will be hungry soon. Once you're ready in your room, I'll bring him,'' The doctor promised.

Rin nodded and before reluctantly handing him over carefully. ''My love, I'll see you in a minute. You're so beautiful. I love you so much. I love you so much, my life.''

''You did so well, Rin. Thank you,'' Sayo held Rin in her arms while she cried and Sayo wiped sweat and tears off of her face.

The next day,

''Sesshomaru! Sesshomaru!''

''I'm here, Father,'' Sesshomaru greeted Father Jaken.

''I've just gotten a letter from Sayo! Your son was born!'' Father Jaken revealed. Sesshomaru's eyes widened but he didn't say anything. ''Well? What are you waiting for? Get going!''

''I'm not going anywhere,'' Sesshomaru finally responded.

''Why not?'' Father questioned.

''You know perfectly well why not,'' Sesshomaru growled.

''I just know you're a stubborn and brainless bad husband and father!'' Jaken shouted at him.

''Watch your words, Father!'' Sesshomaru snarled.

''I won't watch anything!'' Jaken retorted. ''Look, son, listen to me. I've known you since you were a little kid. The fact that you're now rich and powerful won't stop me from telling you what I think. No, son, so listen to me. Sesshomaru, son, you're blinded by pride, jealousy, and spite. I understand you perfectly well, but do you think I don't realize your life has turned into hell? You can change this situation!''

''What should I do, Father?'' Sesshomaru asked him.

''Go be with your wife and your son,'' Jaken told him. ''Your place is with your family!''

Sesshomaru's eyes began to water. ''You think I haven't thought about it? I've told myself many times that I have to cope with my pride and fury. Have the pleasure of seeing her and having her close to me. I would love to believe in every single one of her lies and forget about the truth, but it's not possible, Father. I've tried hard but I can't. How can I bear the torture of living with a woman who betrayed me, who made love of my love, and who slept with another man while we were living under the same roof? I trusted them, both!''

''Sesshomaru, I've told you many times that you're wrong!'' Father exclaimed.

''The facts prove I'm right. Just before we went on our trip, Sara found a pair of Rin's panties in the foreman's house,'' Sesshomaru hissed. ''Why would I see Rin if she doesn't want to be with me? She sent me a lawyer to get divorced. If she wants me to set her free, it must be to go back to the arms of that damn man!''

''Sesshomaru.''

''Haiga?'' Sesshomaru questioned when Haiga Michi walked in his house.

''I need to talk to you. Alone,'' Haiga told him. ''I've been trying to get in contact with you more months.''

''I went on a long trip, recently and I just got back,'' Sesshomaru explained. ''Come to my office and we can talk alone.''

''Thanks. Excuse me, Father,'' Haiga walked into Sesshomaru's office.

''You and I haven't finished our conversation, son. I'll wait,'' Jaken told Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru nodded before walking into his office.

''I'm very sad to tell you all this, Sesshomaru. I know it's a very delicate matter, but we need to talk about this straightforwardly,'' Haiga said. ''I guess you know the kind of relationship Kohaku Mai and your wife have.''

''Yes, I know everything,'' Sesshomaru sighed.

''When I discovered your foreman had taken the identity of Shiro Kon, I wanted to inform you immediately,'' Haiga told him.

''Unfortunately, I learned everything when that swine had already left the ranch,'' Sesshomaru sneered. ''But if I had known at the time that he was Kohaku Mai-''

Haiga nodded. ''Yes, I would have also wanted to do something to him because of what he did to my poor Julia.''

''What did he do to her?'' Sesshomaru asked.

''He married her,'' Haiga informed him.

Sesshomaru's eyes widened. ''What? Julia married that man?''

''Without my approval, of course,'' Haiga replied.

''I'm very surprised to hear this, Haiga. Marrying Julia couldn't have been Mai's plan, let alone Rin's,'' Sesshomaru said.

''Yes, but listen, it was not a coincidence, Sesshomaru. Everything Mai and your wife did was perfectly planned. They planned everything together,'' Haiga told him. ''My wife and Raven Yamamoto are good friends. Thanks to that friendship, I've gotten to know every detail. I know you married Rin to take the Yamamoto family out of their poverty. I'm sorry, but your marriage was just a dirty business. Mai's and Julia's marriage was another matter. A more terrible and despicable one. When that man was your wife's lover, while he was here working as your foreman, he did his best to win my daughter's love, with the intention of marrying her. Because of Raven's and Kata's friendship, Rin knew perfectly well they could get a large sum of money that Julia had inherited from her grandmother after the marriage.''

Sesshomaru began to feel sick to his stomach. ''Until now, I didn't understand why Rin had been an accomplice in that relationship, but now I see everything clearly.''

Haiga sighed. ''Let me repeat that it was not a coincidence. Julia is very sick. The doctors have lost hope. They know that this marriage won't last long.''

''It's disgusting,'' Sesshomaru growled.

Haiga nodded. ''My daughter, my baby girl, is dying slowly. Once she dies, that swine will inherit a huge fortune, and after that, Kohaku and Rin will be able to be together to enjoy all that money.''

''That's why she sent me a lawyer to start with the divorce without intending to fight for money,'' Sesshomaru assumed.

''She doesn't need anything from you,'' Haiga said. ''Thanks to my daughter, their future is secured.''

''Where is Kohaku hiding?'' Sesshomaru asked.

Haiga scoffed. ''He has no reason to hide. Nobody's after him now. They planned that very well, too. Julia's godmother is the sister of Captain Midoriya and thanks to that, he was reinstated in the Navy. It may surprise you that he's a lieutenant.''

''So Kohaku is living in Kamakura,'' Sesshomaru sneered.

''Yes, Sesshomaru,'' Haiga confirmed. ''He's been there for months.''

''Watching his child grow,'' Sesshomaru snarled.

Father Jaken laughed in Sesshomaru's face when Haiga left. ''For God's sake, what you're telling me, Sesshomaru is insane.''

''Facts, Father, facts,'' Sesshomaru snapped.

Jaken scoffed. ''That's mere supposition. Mr. Michi has just came here to put ideas in your head. He has no proof.''

''I can't believe that after this, you keep betting your life on that woman's innocence,'' Sesshomaru responded.

''The fact that this man is living in Kamakura doesn't mean anything,'' Jaken pointed out.

''Maybe for you,'' Sesshomaru retorted. ''But it means everything to me! I can finally understand the game they were playing. They were always together, that bastard dedicated himself to make Haiga's daughter fall in love with him. Do you think it is right that he's playing in such a way with that poor girl who's terminally ill? I'm leaving for Kamakura in an hour and no one is going to stop me.''

Jaken rolled his eyes and stood up to leave.

''Where are you going?'' Sesshomaru asked him.

''I've realized that no matter what anyone says to you, no matter what you see, you will never change your mind,'' Jaken sighed. ''I can't help you anymore, son. At this point, I don't even think Rin would forgive you if you went to her right now. I think maybe, it would be better for you to not even do the paternity test.''

''Why? You don't have faith in her anymore?'' Sesshomaru questioned snidely.

''No, I just don't want you to know that you've lost everything you always wanted,'' Jaken replied before walking out the door.

''Rin, Julia is here, asking for you and she looks very anxious,'' Sayo told Rin.

''Julia?'' Rin questioned. ''Okay, I'll go see her. Watch the baby for me. I'll be right back.'' Rin hurried downstairs to find Julia pacing in the living room. ''Julia, what's wrong?''

''Rinny, your husband is here,'' Julia informed her.

Rin's eyes widened. ''He's here? Where?''

''He came to my house to look for Kohaku,'' Julia explained.

''Oh, no,'' Rin breathed out in fear.

''I'm so scared, Rin,'' Julia whimpered. ''Luckily Kohaku is not here, he went out for some thing with the navy. I asked Sesshomaru why he wanted to see him, and he told me that Kohaku already knows why. He said the most awful and absurd things, Rin.''

''Was he armed?'' Rin asked.

''I don't know, I didn't check!'' Julia exclaimed.

Rin ran a hand through her hair. ''This can't be happening.''

''Rinny, we can't let him hurt Kohaku, you know he's innocent. You have to stop it,'' Julia cried.

Rin nodded. ''I'll talk to him. Relax, Julia.''

''I don't know how to tell you, Sesshomaru, you've got to see that what you're doing is crazy!'' Inuyasha told his brother when he arrived at his house with Sara and told his father and Izayoi what he was planning to do.

''This is not crazy, Inuyasha. I'll do justice, that's all. That bastard is making fun of me. He got into my house with tricks, pretending to be someone else, and he did everything he could to win my friendship, and I even cared about him,'' Sesshomaru admitted. ''What for? So I wouldn't suspect who he really was, and to sleep with my woman in my face. And after all that, you want me to be quiet. No, Inuyasha, I've been waiting for this moment for months. Kohaku Mai has to pay for what he did to me, and the only way is with his life.''

''Listen to me, Sesshomaru-'' ''No, no, no! No, I won't let anyone meddle in this, do you understand?'' Sesshomaru snapped.

''Justice?'' Inuyasha scoffed. ''You're acting like an idiot, is what you're doing!''

''Watch yourself,'' Sesshomaru growled.

''No! You think your wife and this Kohaku guy have come up with this elaborate plot, for what? Money? Oh, please! And now you bring her here?''

''At least she loves me!'' Sesshomaru exclaimed.

''That woman doesn't love you! She's obsessed with you! I've had it, Sesshomaru,'' Inuyasha finally said.

''What do you mean, dear?'' Izayoi asked him.

''If he's going to continue on this foolish path, there is nothing else I can do for him,'' Inuyasha shook his head.

''What are you going to do, son?'' Inutashio asked him.

''I am going to leave this house,'' Inuyasha informed them. ''Sesshomaru, by doing this, you've given me no other choice. Rin is Kagome's best friend and Kagome is the person I love most in this world, sorry mom and dad, but it's true. And I will not risk losing her because you've decided to be a moron! I can't live without her the same way you can't live without Rin.'' Inuyasha made a move towards the door but stopped to look down at Sara. ''Enjoy being someone else's shadow while you can, because when that paternity test comes out, you'll be back to nothing. Good luck, brother. You'll need it.'' Inuyasha walked out and slammed the door behind him.

Sara growled before leaving to another room. ''I'm going to take a shower. It was a long drive. Excuse me.''

His parents sighed just as the doorbell rang. When Sesshomaru didn't move, they opened the door. ''Rin?''

Sesshomaru's eyes widened but he didn't turn around. He was afraid to.

''We'll leave you two alone,'' Inutashio said and moved his wife out the door.

''Sesshomaru, I want to talk to you,'' Rin looked into her husband's eyes that were filled with hatred and sadness for her. ''Why did you come to Kamakura?''

''I don't have a reason to give you explanations,'' Sesshomaru responded.

''How did you know that Kohaku is here?'' Rin asked him.

''Sure,'' Sesshomaru sneered. ''I'd imagined that was the reason for your visit.''

''Yes,'' Rin scoffed. ''Julia went to see me, why do you want to see him?''

''And you dare to ask me. You know perfectly well,'' Sesshomaru growled.

Rin shook her head. ''No, I don't know.''

''I have some pending issue with that bastard,'' Sesshomaru said.

''What? What do you want?'' Rin questioned.

''To make him pay for all the damage he did to me,'' Sesshomaru snarled.

''He didn't do anything to you!'' Rin exclaimed.

''If you're here to intercede to save his life, you'd better save your words,'' Sesshomaru snapped.

''Sesshomaru, please,'' Rin pleaded with him. ''Kohaku is married, Julia is very sick, this is not fair.''

''Fair? I know what's fair or not!'' Sesshomaru yelled. ''Do you think that I don't see that you are behind everything this bastard did? Everything is your plan, you calculated everything perfectly well.''

Rin scoffed. ''Julia told me that you told her that we are just waiting for her death so we can be together. Where did you get something like that? You're completely wrong, Sesshomaru. What kind of woman do you think I am?''

''The cheapest,'' Sesshomaru hissed. ''The most miserable. The worst woman ever. You sold yourself to me, so I paid for your family debts. And now, Kohaku did a great business by marrying Julia Michi. You and Kohaku are damned cancer who make ill everything you touch! You poisoned my soul! You trampled my dignity and my pride! Do you want me to let him live? WHY THE HELL SHOULD I!?''

''Because his wife is-'' ''Because his wife is dying. I'm also dying inside,'' Sesshomaru's eyes filled with tears. ''Thanks to you, I'm dying of anger, fury, pain. And just with his life, Kohaku and you will pay for what you did.''

''Kohaku didn't do anything to you!'' Rin shouted.

''Stop lying!'' Sesshomaru shouted back. ''Who do you think you're talking to? This is me, Rin, I know perfectly well all your tricks. You'd better go, because I feel so angry that I could lose my control and kill you too.''

''If you ever felt anything for me, in the name of that feeling, I'm begging you-'' Sesshomaru didn't let her finish and he hurried out of the room.

''You can't do anything to avoid Sesshomaru and your lover's confrontation.''

Rin sighed. ''Why am I not surprised he brought you along, Sara.''

Sara smirked. ''They will kill each other because of you. And I wish with all of my strength that Kohaku is the one who ends up dead. Otherwise, if that man kills Sesshomaru, I swear that I'll that what you love the most in this life. And I'm not talking about your lover, I'm talking about the kid you had with him,'' Sara threatened.

Rin slapped Sara to the floor. ''I dare you to even try to get close to my son, because if you do, I'll kill you,'' Rin promised before stepping over Sara and going out the door.

The next day,

''Sayo, we have to talk,'' Rin said to her.

''What is it, Rin?'' Sayo asked as she set her nephew in his crib.

''It's about Sesshomaru. He's in Kamakura,'' Rin informed her.

''Really? Did he come to meet the baby?'' Sayo asked.

Rin shook her head. ''No, he came to kill the man who he thinks is the father of my baby,'' Rin revealed. ''He wants to kill him, Sayo. Sesshomaru wants to kill him.''

Sayo's eyes widened. ''We have to do something, Rin. We can't let my brother do such a crazy thing. If Sesshomaru kills that man, he'll go to jail. No, no, no. Rin, you've got to do something. Please go to see him.''

''I've already done it, Sayo, but Sesshomaru is stubborn and he doesn't want to listen, he's..He's too hurt,'' Rin whimpered. ''He doesn't believe anything, he doesn't believe anybody. I don't know what else to do to convince him that I've never cheated on him with Kohaku.''

''I'm sorry to say this, but you did-'' ''But not the way he thinks!'' Rin defended herself. ''Oh, Sayo. If you also have doubts about me, I am lost.''

''No, Rin. I don't have doubts about you, but I know that while Kohaku was working as the overseer for the ranch, you two saw each other and you even sent messages,'' Sayo reminded her. ''I know that you took advantage of any chance to be alone.''

''But, I swear that every time I went to see Kohaku, it was to beg him to leave the ranch,'' Rin swore.

''I know it was that way,'' Sayo nodded. ''But I stand in my brother's shoes, and I think that it's understandable that Sesshomaru thinks the worst. You shouldn't have kept silent for such a long time. You should've told your husband what was going on.''

''If I would have done it, in that moment, Sesshomaru would have killed Kohaku. Sayo, please, please, talk to your brother. Tell him the truth. If he knows that your his sister, I'm sure you'll make him change his mind. You're the only one, the only one who can help me to avoid Sesshomaru becoming a killer,'' Rin cried.

''No. No, no, no, no,'' Sayo shook her head furiously. ''I can't, Rin. Sesshomaru doesn't want or need another sibling! He has Inuyasha who has always been by his side and me, I'm just someone he's never known who shares the same mother he's always hated. It has to be you, Rin. He loves you the most. More than his dad, more than Inuyasha. It's you.''

''Not anymore,'' Rin whimpered.

''Yes, you are. Sesshomaru is hurt. He's devastated by what he thinks you've done. Talk to him. Show him all the love you have for him. Tell him you can go tomorrow to have the paternity test done,'' Sayo suggested. ''He won't be able to deny what those tests confirm.''

''Yes. The test,'' Rin whispered. ''Let's say I send him a message and ask him to come here tonight, I doubt he will.''

''He loves you too much, not to come,'' Sayo assured her.

Rin bit down on her bottom lip for a moment before grabbing her cell phone.

Rin lit the candles for dining room table right before the doorbell rang. Rin exhaled slowly before making her way over to the door. She pulled her dress down and fixed her hair before opening the door.

''Kohaku.''

''Good evening,'' Kohaku greeted her from outside the door. ''Can I come in?''

''What are you doing here?'' Rin questioned nervously. ''When did you arrive?''

''I just arrived,'' Kohaku looked her over. ''I pushed forward the trip.''

''Come in,'' Rin pushed him inside. ''Come in, come in. Did Julia tell you?''

''No, I haven't talked to her. As soon as I arrived, I came here,'' Kohaku told her. ''Rin, are you okay? Do you need help?''

''Sesshomaru has just come back to Kamakura. He came to look for you. He wants to kill you, Kohaku,'' Rin told him just as the doorbell rang again. Rin's eyes widened and she smiled for a moment. ''My God, he came. He's here. That's Sesshomaru.''

''Is that Sesshomaru?'' Kohaku asked.

''Yes,'' Rin exclaimed.

''Why don't you open?'' Kohaku questioned.

''No,'' Rin denied.

''Well, I'll open then,'' Kohaku shrugged.

''No! Kohaku, what are you doing?'' Rin pushed him away from the door.

''Rin, after everything that's happened, it's time, don't you think?'' Kohaku sighed.

''No. Please don't,'' Rin whimpered.

''Do you know how many times I've heard that?'' Kohaku sneered. ''Please, please, please. We solve this now.''

''He'll be furious if he finds you here again, he'll think the worst of us,'' Rin cried. ''Think, think. He wants to kill you.''

''Well, that's fine, because I want to kill him too,'' Kohaku admitted and pulled out a gun.

''Have you lost it?'' Rin snapped. ''Get out of my house! Sesshomaru can't see you here. Leave through the kitchen door.''

''Rin-'' ''I want him! I want to be with him! I want my son to have his father and I want my husband!'' Rin cried. ''Please, get out. Go.''

Kohaku grimaced but slowly made his way towards the kitchen.

Rin sighed and wiped her tears away before finally opening the door only to find no one there. ''Sesshomaru..'' A thought struck Rin and she hurried outside to the garden and found Sesshomaru and Kohaku staring at each other with rage and Kohaku pointing a gun at Sesshomaru. Rin quickly stood in front of Sesshomaru to make sure Kohaku wouldn't shoot but Sesshomaru pushed her back.

''Don't treat her like that!'' Kohaku yelled Sesshomaru.

''Like it or not, Rin is still my wife,'' Sesshomaru reminded him before turning to Rin. ''Another dirty trick. You called me knowing that this filthy traitor would be here waiting for me!''

''Of course not!'' Rin denied. ''Let me explain, Sesshomaru-'' ''Sesshomaru, Sesshomaru,'' Kohaku called out to him. ''This is not the place, so tell me when, how and where, and I'll be there.''

''Tomorrow at 6:00, in the place where you used to meet Rin and where I saw her for the first time,'' Sesshomaru told him.

''Do you know something? I think that's the best place. Tomorrow at 6:00, we'll solve this matter,'' Kohaku responded.

''Don't forget your gun,'' Sesshomaru snarled.

''You don't forget yours,'' Kohaku shot back.

''Please, don't do this,'' Rin begged them.

''Let's go,'' Sesshomaru grabbed Rin and took her back inside the house.

''Please, listen to me!'' Rin pleaded. ''I didn't know that Kohaku was back and much less I didn't ask him to come to my house. I'm telling the truth, Sesshomaru.''

''You're so cynical! You can't even control yourself for your son, but I swear, Rin, that if you want to see your lover again after tomorrow, you'll have to go to the graveyard!'' Sesshomaru threatened.

''Kohaku is not to blame for anything!'' Rin insisted.

Sesshomaru slammed his fist into the wall by the door. ''How dare you say that to me? How far can you go?''

''You're wrong, Sesshomaru. Please, be reasonable! You're the one I love. Listen. I'm not as guilty as you think. Please, let's forget everything,'' Rin grabbed Sesshomaru's face and held it in her hands. ''What I want most is to start a new life together. Come on, don't force me to humiliate myself further and to beg for your forgiveness. I love you. I love you as I never loved in my life and I need, I need you to believe me, please.''

Sesshomaru closed his eyes and held Rin's face and pulled her in so their foreheads were touching, when he opened his eyes again they were filled with tears and anger. ''I can't. I swear that I can't. You hurt me too much. You laughed at my love,'' Sesshomaru pushed her away from him. ''You deceived me in the most terrible way. You have a son who's not mine, how can you expect my forgiveness!?''

''That's not true! That is not true!'' Rin yelled at him.

''At least admit your fault!'' Sesshomaru exclaimed.

''I don't have to admit a sin that I didn't commit!'' Rin shouted.

''And I don't have any reason to accept a tramp as my wife,'' Sesshomaru growled and left out the door.

Rin's eyes widened and tears flowed down her face.

''Rin? Rin, what happened?'' Sayo questioned as she came running down the stairs.

''Your brother, Sayo...My husband is a monster,'' Rin cried as Sayo held her.

''It hurts me so much to see my brother and you like this,'' Sayo said.

''There's nothing left to do, Sayo,'' Rin wiped away her tears. ''Things have gone too far.''

''When you really love-'' ''Sesshomaru doesn't really love me!'' Rin cried. ''If he did, he would believe me, and he thinks that I'm the most despicable woman in the world!''

''But you..'' Sayo sighed.

''I know that I made a mistake, I know, but...That happened when I didn't love him, when I was in love with Kohaku. Yes, I wanted to leave, I wanted to do it, but..Well, there was a kiss too and you don't know how much I regret that,'' Rin confessed. ''But look at what's happened, Sayo. I've lost my husband, my dignity, and..my dad. I can't do this anymore. It's over.''

The next day arrived.

Rin paced in the living room as she took peeks out of the window until finally, the doorbell rang.

''Kohaku. What are you doing here? What's wrong?'' Rin questioned fearfully.

''I came to ask you to, no matter what happens, take care of Julia, please,'' Kohaku requested.

''Did you tell her?'' Rin asked.

Kohaku shook his head. ''No, I told her that I had to be in the navy at 6:00, but..I also came to say goodbye. Maybe this is the last time we see each other.''

''No...'' Rin's eyes filled with tears. ''You're on time. Please, don't go.''

''Rin, you know me better than anyone. I'm a man of my word, and I keep my promises,'' Kohaku reminded her before placing a hand on her cheek.

''Don't go. Please, don't go,'' Rin pleaded but Kohaku walked away. Rin looked back to find Sayo watching her.

''That man and my brother..Arranged a duel last night, right?'' Sayo guessed.

''Yes,'' Rin whimpered as she saw the rain slowly start coming down outside until it began to pour. ''I've got to do something. I can't let this happen! Sayo, run and tell my aunt to go down to the police station and tell them what's going on. You and I will go down to the beach and try to stop them ourselves.''

''Yes, Rin,'' Sayo agreed and ran upstairs.

''Please, God. Protect them both,'' Rin begged.

''Your aunt is about to leave,'' Sayo called out to Rin as she came down the stairs.

''Let's go, Sayo,'' Rin grabbed her purse and Sayo's hand and they ran out the door together towards the beach. When they finally reached it, Sesshomaru and Kohaku had guns pointed at each other, a loud bang went off, and Kohaku looked at Rin before he fell to the ground.

''No! No, no, no!'' Rin cried and ran over to him. Shippo, Momo, and Sakura came running.

''You killed him!'' Momo yelled at Sesshomaru.

''We were too late,'' Shippo whispered.

''You must be so satisfied! This is what you wanted!'' Rin shouted at Sesshomaru. ''You killed him, Sesshomaru! I hate you! I hate you!''

''I'm gonna kill you!'' Shippo made a move towards Sesshomaru but Kageromaru appeared and put Sesshomaru in handcuffs.

''You are under arrest for the murder of Kohaku Mai.''

''Forgive me,'' Rin cried over Kohaku causing him to groan.

''He's alive. Kohaku is alive!'' Shippo exclaimed with relief. ''Call an ambulance!''

''Have you thought about my proposal?'' Naraku asked Kagome while they were sitting down for breakfast.

''I have nothing to think about!'' Kagome snapped.

''You don't want to be with Inuyasha?'' Naraku questioned.

''Of course I do but what you're suggesting I do..It's horrible and I won't do it,'' Kagome told him just as his phone rang.

''Hello..Yes...You don't say...I understand..Yes..Thank you,'' Naraku immediately hung up the phone. ''Sesshomaru just killed Kohaku.''

Kagome's eyes widened.

''It's cruel. Kohaku saved his life more than once and he didn't even care,'' Rin cried. ''My son will never have his name. It's better that he never knows what kind of man his father was.''

''You're here for Kohaku Mai?''

Rin looked up at the doctor. ''How is he?''

''We removed the bullet so now, we just have to wait,'' The doctor told her and went back to Kohaku's room.

''Oh, I don't want him to die, it would be horribly unfair,'' Rin whimpered. ''I have to go see Julia and tell her what's happened. What will you do now, Sayo? When will you tell Sesshomaru the truth? You have to, Sayo!''

''He's going to jail,'' Sayo cried.

''No, no, Sayo, calm down,'' Rin pulled Sayo into her arms. ''If Kohaku survives, Sesshomaru's situation will be solved.''

''Really?'' Sayo questioned.

Rin nodded. ''Yes, yes.''

''And will you look for my brother?'' Sayo asked her.

Rin shook her head. ''No.''

''What if he apologizes?'' Sayo asked.

Rin scoffed. ''Oh, it's obvious you don't know him. Sesshomaru will never ask for my forgiveness. He will never apologize to me.''

''What if he did?'' Sayo asked.

Rin opened her mouth before closing it again. ''It's useless to talk about something that won't happen. I have to hurry and go see Julia and tell her what's happened. Aunt, will you go home and watch Jihayo for me?''

''Of course,'' Sakura nodded.

''I'm going to see Sesshomaru,'' Sayo told them. ''You're right. I can't keep this a secret any longer. I have to speak with him. I'll see you back at the house later.''

Rin pulled Sayo in for a hug. ''He won't reject you and even if he does, you will always have me and your beautiful nephew. I love you, Sayo.''

''I love you too, Rin,'' Sayo whimpered.

''Let's go,'' Rin said and they all walked out of the hospital to go their separate ways.

''You have a visitor.''

Sesshomaru looked up from his spot on the cot he was sitting on to find Sayo standing on the other side of the cell.

''What are you doing here?'' Sesshomaru asked her.

''I had to see you,'' Sayo admitted. ''You don't know how much it hurts to see you like this. Locked up.''

''You feel sorry for me?'' Sesshomaru sneered.

''No, I don't,'' Sayo denied.

''I don't understand then,'' Sesshomaru responded.

''It hurts to see you like this because..Maybe if I had come to see you sooner..You don't deserve this. You're a good man,'' Sayo whimpered.

Sesshomaru shook his head. ''No. No, Sayo, I'm not. I deserve this.''

''Oh, Sesshomaru! I could have avoided this. If I had talked to you in time,'' Sayo sighed.

''I don't know why you say that, but I assure you that no one could have stopped me,'' Sesshomaru told her. ''Did Rin ask you to come?''

''No, I came on my own. To tell you the truth,'' Sayo said.

''Save your words, Sayo. Nothing you say can make me change my mind about Rin,'' Sesshomaru told her.

''I assure you your wife is a good woman, sir,'' Sayo said.

''You love her very much, don't you?'' Sesshomaru noticed.

''Yes,'' Sayo nodded. ''But I love you more.''

''Me? Why? Why did you come here, Sayo? To beg for Rin?'' Sesshomaru questioned.

Sayo turned away so she wouldn't have to look at her brother's face. ''Yes. And for your son. Believe me when I say that you don't want him to find out about the way you've been treating him and Rin. I grew up all alone. I went to private schools all my life with no parental contact until finally I learned I had a mother who wanted nothing to do with me. She had my father killed so no one would ever know what horrible things she had done. I..I have a brother who knows nothing of my existence and I don't dare tell him because I'm afraid he'll be ashamed or hate me the same way he hated our mother. He already has a half brother, what would he want with me?''

Sesshomaru's lips fell open and his eyes widened. ''Sayo..Are you..?''

''Father Jaken knows,'' Sayo confirmed. ''Do you hate me?''

Sesshomaru's eyes softened. ''Sayo..I can't believe it. All this time, next to me. Father Jaken told me you were dead! Why didn't you tell me anything? Why did you let me treat you like that, like the maid?'' Sesshomaru snarled and slammed his fist against the bars keeping them separated. ''You are my sister!''

''Father Jaken told me how much you hated our mother and I..I didn't want to be another reason for that,'' Sayo let Sesshomaru hold her face. ''I met your wife and..you had a whole life for yourself. I didn't want to get in the way of that. I didn't want to take the chance that you'd despise me.''

''But I fired you from the ranch, you should have told me then, Sayo!'' Sesshomaru growled. ''You should have taken everything that was owed to you!''

Sayo shook her head. ''The only thing I ever wanted was you. I've always been alone so when I found out I had a brother..You were all I thought about. I wanted nothing more than to have a family.''

''Please, tell me everything,'' Sesshomaru requested. ''What has happened to you?''

''I swear I will tell you, brother,'' Sayo swore. ''But later. Now..We have to talk about Rin. What will you do about your wife?''

''She deceived me, sister. I would give anything for it to be untrue,'' Sesshomaru grimaced. ''But it's the truth. And I can't forgive her no matter how much I want to.''

''Sesshomaru, as I said, she's a good woman. She did things she shouldn't have, but she didn't betray you as you think she did,'' Sayo told him. ''That baby boy is my nephew. You can't ignore him, he's your own blood.''

''I will take a paternity test as soon as possible,'' Sesshomaru responded.

''Will you take back Rin?'' Sayo asked excitedly.

''No, not that,'' Sesshomaru shook his head. ''I will accept my son. But you can't make me forget her betrayal and take her back. I really can't, sister. Please, understand, I can't.''

Sayo sighed. ''Brother, your wife told me everything. She told me how the marriage took place. And she told me about the other man. When she did what she did, it was because she didn't love you yet. And I don't mean to excuse her, but then she learned to love you. I saw her crying so much for you. Desperate because you rejected her. You're the love of her life and she was never unfaithful to you. She swore it and I believe her.''

''You trust her that much?'' Sesshomaru questioned.

''Yes,'' Sayo nodded. ''Yes, brother. Yes!''

''Does Rin know everything?'' Sesshomaru asked.

''Yes, brother. And she begged me to tell you the truth,'' Sayo flinched. ''She hoped I would convince you not..Not to fight that man. But it's too late now!''

''Sister, how can you say Rin loves me, if she only cared about what happened to the other guy?'' Sesshomaru questioned. ''And I can't forget her hateful look.''

''You offended her, brother!'' Sayo reminded him. ''You kicked her out as if she were a prostitute. You said very ugly things to her and, and she has her pride, her character.''

''You really think I was wrong?'' Sesshomaru asked her. ''And that she didn't cheat on me with that man?''

''I'm sure, Sesshomaru,'' Sayo assured him. ''She told me everything with tears in her eyes.''

''She's a good liar,'' Sesshomaru sighed.

''I understand you are jealous and upset, but you're wrong, brother. She loves you with all her heart, I swear. She's innocent. And I can't lie to you,'' Sayo promised him.

''I would give my life away for this to be true. You don't know how much I love her. I love her so much!'' Sesshomaru finally cried. ''I love her so much.''

''Oh, brother,'' Sayo whimpered and held his hand while he cried.

A few days passed.

''You have a visitor.''

Sesshomaru looked up expecting to see his sister who visited him every day but saw Rin instead.

''Rin.''

''Good afternoon, Sesshomaru,'' Rin greeted him with indifference. ''I came here to give you the results of that paternity test in person. Will you open it? I'm in a hurry.''

''Why such a hurry? Will you go see Kohaku?'' Sesshomaru asked her.

''Yes, is that a problem?'' Rin retorted.

''How is he?'' Sesshomaru asked.

''He's..alive,'' Rin answered. ''Even though that upsets you.''

''What upsets me is that you go see him every day,'' Sesshomaru snapped. ''Instead, this is the first time you came to see me since I've been here.''

''I don't want to argue, I'm not interested,'' Rin responded. ''You asked Inuyasha to get these tests as soon as possible. Here they are. Will you look at them? Or not.''

Sesshomaru grabbed the envelope from her and quickly opened it. Sesshomaru's eyes softened and he grimaced. ''He's my son.''

Rin scoffed. ''I'm leaving. Oh, and by the way, let me remind you that my lawyer will come to see you again. And I hope you don't refuse to sign the divorce papers this time. The terms are the same. I'm not interested in any of your money. The only thing I want, is for a man like you, to be out of my life, and my son's.'' Rin left before Sesshomaru could say anything only to run into Sara outside.

''What are you doing here? You must be very satisfied, no? Because of you Sesshomaru is locked up and who knows how many years he'll have to stay behind bars,'' Sara hissed.

''No, don't worry about that. Despite the fact that Sesshomaru tried to kill him, Kohaku decided not to press charges,'' Rin informed her. ''So your situation will remain the same. And so you can be even more relaxed, I asked for a divorce.''

''Really?'' Sara asked.

''Yes. My lawyer will come to see Sesshomaru again to give him the papers and if you want me to disappear from your life, push him. So this time, he doesn't refuse to sign them,'' Rin told her.

Sara's eyes widened. ''This time? You mean..''

''What? He didn't tell you? He's your man,'' Rin smirked. ''I sent my lawyer with papers a few days ago and Sesshomaru didn't want to sign them.''

''Of course, I'll push him,'' Sara growled. ''Sesshomaru's life will be much better when you disappear for good.''

''Wow, at least we finally agree on something,'' Rin sneered. ''Because I think the same, but I'm not talking about his life or yours, but mine. I will be much better the day I stop being attached to a monster like him. Like you. Because Sesshomaru and you are perfect for each other.''

''I'm glad you realize,'' Sara smirked.

''Yes,'' Rin whispered before walking out of the police station.

Sara watched her leave for a moment before going down the hallway to Sesshomaru's cell. ''Sesshomaru, I ran into Rin in the hallway. At least she brought good news. She says Kohaku Mai won't file charges against you.''

''Are you sure?'' Sesshomaru asked her.

''Yes, she just told me herself,'' Sara nodded. ''Is it true that Rin had already sent you a lawyer with the divorce documents?''

''Yes,'' Sesshomaru admitted.

''Why didn't you sign them?'' Sara asked him. ''You have to do it this time, Sesshomaru. You have to leave Rin for good so we can go on with our life. It was a mistake to marry a woman so different from you. It's time to fix it, isn't it?''

''I won't ever divorce her,'' Sesshomaru told her. ''Even less now that I know that her son has my blood.''

''How can you believe that lie?'' Sara questioned.

''Rin brought me the results of the paternity test. The child is mine, Sara,'' Sesshomaru revealed. ''He's my son. I've been wrong all this time, blinded by jealousy and anger! And now I'm about to lose everything. My woman, my child. My life won't be long enough to ask for her forgiveness. Tell Inuyasha to come here and bring the lawyer.''

Sara looked at him with tear filled eyes. ''But you said that you didn't want one.''

''I need to get out of here! I have to get out of here!'' Sesshomaru yelled at her.

''Kohaku is not doing well. He could die at anytime,'' Rin informed Kagome.

''You don't know how sorry I am, but I think you're wrong to visit him every day,'' Kagome told her. ''I'm worried about everything people are saying about you in Kamakura.''

Rin scoffed. ''It's been a long time since I stopped caring about what people think.'' Rin sighed. ''I went to see Sesshomaru and I gave him the results of the paternity test''

''How did he react?'' Kagome asked.

Rin shook her head. ''He didn't say anything.''

''He didn't say anything or you didn't let him talk?'' Kagome assumed.

''Both,'' Rin whimpered. ''I also demanded he sign the divorce papers.''

''Oh, Rinny, don't act impulsively,'' Kagome warned her. ''Things can be solved.''

''No, there isn't any solution,'' Rin denied. ''My mother sold me to a soulless man. I was forced to marry him and I have decided to correct that mistake.''

''No, you can't fool me, Rinny. You say this because you're hurt, but I know you best,'' Kagome reminded her. ''I know that you still love Sesshomaru with all of your heart.''

Rin shrugged. ''I loved Kohaku and I could kill off that love, so I can kill off all I feel for Sesshomaru.''

Kagome sighed. ''Open your eyes, you're lying to yourself. You let Kohaku go, but that doesn't mean that you don't love him anymore. I think that you still love two men at the same time.''

Rin suddenly stood up. ''I have to go. I left Jihayo with Sayo all morning and I want to feed him.''

''Take care, friend,'' Kagome kissed her cheek causing Rin to return it. ''You take care, too.''

Once Sesshomaru was released, the first thing he did was go to the hospital.

''What are you doing here?'' Shippo asked him angrily.

''I want to talk to Kohaku, alone,'' Sesshomaru answered.

''Leave us alone, Shippo,'' Kohaku said weakly.

''I'll be right outside,'' Shippo warned Sesshomaru before walking out of the room.

''I just want you to tell me one thing,'' Sesshomaru said. ''Were you and Rin lovers?''

''Do you think that I'll tell you the truth?'' Kohaku asked him.

Sesshomaru shrugged. ''I don't know, but if you lie, I hope I see it.''

''You don't love Rin, Sesshomaru. Because when you love someone, you have to trust that person completely,'' Kohaku told him.

''You won't tell me,'' Sesshomaru assumed.

''I'd like to say yes, that Rin was my lover to take revenge for all the pain you caused us, but a lie like that would hurt her even more, and actually, Sesshomaru...I don't want to hurt her,'' Kohaku grimaced. ''No. No, Sesshomaru. Since you bought her, I haven't been with the woman I wanted to be the mother of my children.''

''But she loves you,'' Sesshomaru said.

''She loved me. She loved me. Do you know what I got when I pretended to be your foreman? I got to see how the love that Rin felt for me slowly die..'' Kohaku whimpered. ''And I won't fool you, Sesshomaru. I did everything to make her run away with me. I tried to get her back, and she didn't want to, Sesshomaru. She rejected me the whole time.''

''Do you expect me to believe that you never tried to force her?'' Sesshomaru sneered.

''No, Sesshomaru. I'm not like you,'' Kohaku chuckled. ''I would never do that to a woman. Women must be treated delicately. Now..Sesshomaru, go. I'm tired.''

''Can I get you anything?'' Sesshomaru asked before he left.

''No, just go,'' Kohaku groaned.

The next day,

''Miss Sakura, Rin is upstairs with the baby. She said she doesn't wish to be disturbed,'' Sayo informed Rin's aunt.

Sakura nodded just as the doorbell rang.

''I'll get that,'' Sayo said.

''You're not a maid,'' Sakura reminded her but Sayo was already opening the door.

''Brother!'' Sayo exclaimed and smiled as Sesshomaru pulled her into his arms. ''Good morning.''

''Good morning, little sister,'' Sesshomaru patted her head. ''I want to talk to Rin.''

''Of course. I'll go get her,'' Sakura offered and headed upstairs to Rin's room.

Rin's eyes widened. ''What does he want?''

''To talk to you,'' Sakura told her.

''About what?'' Rin questioned nervously.

''I don't know, honey, come on, go down, he's waiting,'' Sakura urged.

Rin bit down on her bottom lip and paced for a short moment. ''No. I don't want to see him.''

''Perhaps, he's here to try and fix things with you,'' Sakura suggested.

''There's no fixing for Sesshomaru and me, aunt,'' Rin whimpered.

''Okay, let me see what he wants and I'll come back to tell you,'' Sakura offered. ''Look, I'll tell him you can't come down because you're feeding the baby.''

''Yes, yes. Tell him that,'' Rin nodded and once her aunt left, went back to pacing around her son's crib.

''Rin is feeding the baby so she'll be a minute,'' Sakura told everyone in the living room.

''Well, let's not wait. Come, Sesshomaru. Let's go see your son,'' Raven voiced as she walked down stairs.

''Rin isn't ready,'' Sakura said.

''Nonsense. Come, Sesshomaru,'' Raven fake smiled.

Sesshomaru nodded and stood up to follow his mother-in-law.

''Princess, may I come in?'' Raven called out to Rin when she reached her bedroom door.

''Yes, come in.''

Raven and Sesshomaru stepped into Rin's room to find Rin sitting next to her son's crib.

''Your husband is dying to see the baby. Come in, come in,'' Raven pushed Sesshomaru towards his son. ''I don't mean to brag but my grandson is the most beautiful baby you've ever seen, isn't he?''

''He's beautiful,'' Sesshomaru whispered as a tear ran down his face.

''Sesshomaru wants to set a date to baptise the baby, princess,'' Raven told Rin. Rin gave Sesshomaru an incredulous look. ''Well, I'm gonna leave you two alone. Excuse me,'' Raven gave another one of her fake smiles and left them alone.

Sesshomaru kept his eyes on Rin but she avoided his stare and stood up to walk to the otherside of her room.

''He's so beautiful,'' Sesshomaru said. Rin's eyes filled with tears. ''Have you given him a name yet?''

''His name is Jihayo, like my dad,'' Rin snapped.

''I like it,'' Sesshomaru said.

''Hmm,'' Rin closed her eyes to keep her tears at bay when she felt Sesshomaru grab her hand. When she turned around she found Sesshomaru in front of her, on his knees.

''I'm-so sorry. Forgive me, please.''

I've officially tapped out at 10,000 words but at least some stuff happened in the meantime. We'll finish that apology next chapter. Reviews people, reviews.
