I OWN NOTHING
''Thank you for this day, Sesshomaru,'' Rin walked Sesshomaru to her front door after they had spent the whole afternoon together with their son.
''Thank you, my love,'' Sesshomaru replied.
''I'll see you tomorrow, right?'' Rin asked.
''Of course,'' Sesshomaru promised and leaned down to kiss his ex-wife. ''I love you, Rin. I love you.''
''I love you more,'' Rin sighed in content.
''Oh, it's great to see you two like this,'' Rin's aunt came up behind her.
''Thank you, Ms. Sakura,'' Sesshomaru cupped Rin's cheek in this palm. ''Excuse me. See you tomorrow, my love.''
''See you tomorrow,'' Rin bit down on her bottom lip as she closed the door behind her husband.
''Please, tell me, dear,'' Sakura requested. ''What's made you so happy?''
''Sesshomaru signed the divorce documents, aunt,'' Rin smiled.
''What?" Sakura questioned.
''Yes, this is the happiest day of my life,'' Rin squealed as she ran upstairs while her aunt watched her with confusion.
Late that night, everyone except Sayo had gone to their rooms for the evening. Sayo heard the doorbell ring and went to answer it.
''Miss Rin!'' Sayo exclaimed with happiness.
''Sayo, how are you?'' Rin greeted her.
''I'm great and you?'' Sayo asked.
''I'm good, thanks,'' Rin answered back. ''Is Sesshomaru at home?''
Sayo nodded. ''Yes, he's in his room. I'll call for him.''
Rin held Sayo back. ''No, I'd rather go myself. Excuse me.'' Rin smiled shyly and practically skipped over to Sesshomaru's room.
Sayo immediately understood what she meant and her cheeks reddened and she hurried to the kitchen.
Rin knocked on Sesshomaru's door and waited for him to respond before letting herself in.
''Rin?'' Sesshomaru immediately got out of bed to greet her. ''My love, I wasn't expecting you. What are you doing here?''
Rin smiled and hung up her purse on his coat rack before wrapping her arms around his neck. ''Sesshomaru, I can't wait anymore. I want to move forward with our wedding night.'' Rin pressed her lips to his and let him untie her dress.
Even later that evening, Sesshomaru watched as Rin redressed herself. He couldn't stop thinking about what he'd heard at the hospital.
''In that moment, my love, in that moment, nothing existed, only you and I were there, and everything was love, kisses, touches, and your eyes-your big brown eyes looking at me after we made love,'' Kohaku whimpered.
''Shhhh. Relax,'' Rin ran her hands through his hair.
Rin looked back at Sesshomaru, withdraweling him from his thoughts. ''What? What are you thinking, my love?'' Rin questioned.
Sesshomaru shook his head. ''Nothing, nothing.''
Rin crossed her arms over her chest. ''You look very serious. As if something bothered you.''
''You'll have to be patient,'' Sesshomaru sighed. ''There are some things I'll never forget and that I don't know how to handle yet.''
Rin's eyes began to water. ''I don't like it when you look at me like that. Your eyes filled with jealousy, doubts.''
''It's because of what I heard when you were at the hospital with Kohaku,'' Sesshomaru explained. ''You were both recalling a very special moment for you two, and it still haunts me.''
Rin sighed. ''Sesshomaru, my love, do you want to ask me something? Why don't you just ask?''
''Was it before or after?'' Sesshomaru immediately asked.
''Before, long before,'' Rin answered. ''Kohaku was my boyfriend and I was in love with him.''
''Rin, I need you to swear nothing happened between you two while we were married,'' Sesshomaru growled.
''I swear, my love, I swore it many times,'' Rin reminded him.
''Swear it one more time,'' Sesshomaru told her.
''I swear, my love. But it means nothing if you don't trust me!'' Rin pointed out.
''I just think about how many times at the ranch he told you he loved you and how many other times he tried to kiss you, touch you, make love to you,'' Sesshomaru grimaced. ''It fills me with rage.'' Sesshomaru suddenly stood causing Rin to grab him by his waist and pull him close.
''My love, nothing ever happened,'' Rin promised.
''Not even a kiss?'' Sesshomaru questioned causing Rin to stay silent. ''You never kissed him while being my wife?'' Sesshomaru asked again.
Rin's eyes narrowed. ''And how many times did you, Sesshomaru, kiss Sara while being my husband? And not only that, you took her to the ranch as your woman. You got her in my room, you slept with her in the same bed you slept with me!'' Rin scoffed. ''And what, being a man gives you the right to do it? No, I'm sorry, things are not like that anymore.'' Rin grabbed her purse and stormed out of his room.
''What are you doing?'' Sesshomaru questioned as he followed after her.
''I'm leaving, this is a mistake!'' Rin snapped.
Sesshomaru pulled her back and pinned her between his arms behind the couch. ''Wait, Rin. Please, don't go.''
Rin sighed. ''It's a lie that we can start all over. I can forgive. I can forget, but you never will!''
''I'm sorry, please, forgive me. Understand me. I still don't know how to control my jealousy but I'll learn, my love. I promise,'' Sesshomaru told her.
''I need you to believe me, Sesshomaru, believe in me,'' Rin pleaded.
''Of course, of course. I do believe you. I trust you. Nothing ever even happened between Sara and I,'' Sesshomaru revealed. ''I won't lie to you, I tried, it was foolish. I wanted payback. But I couldn't even touch her. It was your skin I needed to touch, your lips I wanted to kiss. It was your body I wanted next to mine every night, my love.'' Sesshomaru pulled Rin closer so their bodies were touching.
Rin wrapped her arms around his neck. ''Sesshomaru..''
''I beg you to believe in me too,'' Sesshomaru pleaded.
''I do believe you. Of course I do,'' Rin smiled and let Sesshomaru pick her up to take her back to his room.
Sesshomaru woke up in the middle of the night with Rin in his arms and went to get a glass of water. He noticed a light on in the corner of the living room and found Sara sitting alone in a chair.
''Sara?''
''Sesshomaru, I'm so glad you were the one to find out before I go,'' Sara smiled at him.
''Are you leaving soon?'' Sesshomaru asked her.
''Yes, I'd rather go on my own before you or your woman kick me out,'' Sara sighed.
Sesshomaru nodded. ''It's the best thing for everyone, Sara. I'm so sorry about everything. I used you and I should've known better. Forgive me. If you'd like you may go back to ranch and Sango and Miroku will be there to take care of you. Do you need some money?''
''No,'' Sara whimpered. ''I don't need anything where I'm going. I miss running barefoot on wet grass, you and I. My dad chasing us. Honda laughing. Do you think..I'll see my family again?''
''What are you talking about?'' Sesshomaru questioned.
''It's been so long since I've been with my family,'' Sara cried. ''Is it true, Sesshomaru? Is it true that there's a light and your family's waiting for you?''
''What?'' Sesshomaru questioned again.
Sara shook her head. ''It's a lie. There's no light. Everything's dark. There's nothing.''
Sesshomaru looked down at Sara with confusion until he saw her wrists were covered in blood. ''What-Sara! What have you done!? Sara! Someone help me!'' Sesshomaru shouted through the house.
Don't feel bad for her..I promise you don't need to. In the novela we see Sesshomaru reject Sara everytime she tries to seduce him and I didn't include it because it was kind of uncomfortable to watch. Reviews people, reviews.
