Atta then said to her younger sister while Dot was going to talk to their mother, "Dot, you're a young queen ant and your wings are too little—" Dot stopped her and said, "I was talking to Mother. You're not the queen yet, Atta." The queen then said, "Now Dot, be nice to your sister." Dot then said, "It's not my fault she's so stressed out." Atta groaned and sighed while she said, "I know, I know. I'm always acting like the sky is falling." I can feel her pain alright.
Then I heard someone shouting, "LOOK OUT!" I looked up, got my eyes wide and exclaimed, "WHOA!" I got out of the way and saw the grass blade landed right on Atta! Oh no! I got worried and then I saw some more ants coming towards her.
I want to know how this happened. Before I can ask, another blade of grass landed on Atta just as they got the one blade of grass on her. The other ants were not happy. I wanted to know what is happening. I heard the ants talking to whoever it was, "Hey! Stop that! What do you think you're doing? You could have killed somebody over here." It is true, whoever it was could've killed Atta. Then I heard the ant saying that it's sorry. It looks like a male ant to me. I asked the queen, "Who is this guy?" The queen then told me who that male ant is.
HIs name was Flik. I have never heard of that name before at all. It must be a new one for me. He then showed Atta his invention. I have never seen an invention like his before in my life. This must new or something. I wonder what it is for. I hope that it is good. He then made something that is like similar to humans like me.
I laughed along with Dot and the Queen because I think this Flik guy has feelings for Atta. I think he has a crush on her. I then gave a smirk. Dot noticed it and she asked me what is it. I then said, "I think this Flik guy has a crush on her."
Dot and the Queen laughed and they agreed with me, sort of. Flik must be a special bug to me or something. Flik then saw me and he was curious. Atta introduced me to him. Flik then said before noticing my eyes, "I love meeting new.. whoa! What is with those eyes of yours? Sorry that was rude of me."
Then the other ants told him that Atta doesn't have time for what he is saying. What is going on? I looked at the queen and she told me something that I was not proud of. They're not appreciating him. I then didn't understand about the food gathering.
I asked the queen about this and she explained to me about it. I didn't understand, should they gather good food for her instead? I mean that's what nature does. The queen said something about Hopper and I asked, "Who's Hopper?"
The queen then told me about this Hopper guy. I got my eyes wide when she told me about the food gathering. Oh that's not right at all. I would totally hate that bug right about now. I don't know what would happen if that bug sees me.
He and those grasshoppers should get their own food. Then we heard the sound of a horn. The queen told me that the grasshoppers are coming. Oh boy, this is bad, really bad. Then the queen starting to call for Dot.
Oh where could she be? I hope she didn't wander too far. Then I saw her. That's a close one for her. Then the queen hugged her. I then saw Atta trying to get the others' attention. I don't know what to do.
The queen said that she'll take care of it. She then whistled and that got their attention. It sure did. She then said, "Okay, everyone, single file. Food to the offering stone and into the anthill. Now let's go!" The ants did as she was told.
The queen then said to me, "Iris, come with me and Dot, you'll be safe inside." I nodded my head yes. I then followed her and Dot inside the anthill. I've always wondered what it looked like inside. I then noticed Atta is not here. I don't know if she'll make it before the grasshoppers get here.
Then Atta got in in time. That's a close call. Then I heard a muffled loud sound. Oh that must be them alright. Then something caught my attention. It's Flik.
I saw the look on his face, he looks scared. He then tried to say something, but Atta and I shushed him. Then something is not right at all.
