Then I heard muffled voices that were saying about the food. The ants gasped. Atta and I glared at Flik while Atta asked Flik, "What did you do?" I whispered mad, "Answer her now." The other ants glared at him. Flik tried to explain by saying nervously, "It was an accident." Then I saw something that is a shock to me.

The grasshoppers are opening up the holes with their feet. Atta said to me, "Iris, get to my mother, hurry!" I did as she was told. She caught up with me though. Those grasshoppers are so scary looking. I saw Dot becoming scared. Her mother and I tried to comfort her. I then saw an angry looking grasshopper.

I gave the queen a questioned look and she said, "That's him my dear, Hopper." Oh so that's Hopper. I then got disgusted. I then whispered, "He looks ugly to me."

I stayed behind the queen and didn't say a word for a while. From what I can tell with Hopper, he looks angry. Really angry. He wants to know where is his food. Oh this is bad. He is very angry. I don't wanna mess with him now.

Atta was nervous. Well more like really nervous. Hopper was more focused on her. Really though. He then said that Atta doesn't smell like a queen. Well that sounded rude. The queen told Hopper that she is learning to take over for her.

Hopper discovered it was under new management. Then he said that it's her fault. What? It's not her fault. It's all Flik's. I don't think it's her fault, it would be Flik's. I stayed hidden behind the queen and the other ants. I don't want Hopper to see me. I can't. Quite not. I heard what Hopper is talking about.

He is saying about sun growing the food, ants picking the food and grasshoppers eat food and the another grasshopper mentioning something about birds eating grasshoppers. Well the last part is true. Well birds do eat the grasshoppers. It's in nature. That's it. That grasshopper has a mean temper, I know it.

Then the grasshopper calmed down and said something about rain. I looked at the queen and she didn't like it. I wasn't sure about it. The queen tried to explain to him, "But Hopper, since it's almost the rainy season, we need this time to gather food for ourselves." I would have to agree with her. Hopper then said something about the safety of the insects and said that someone could get hurt.

He snapped his fingers and we turned around at the sound of a strange noise. I got disgusted at what I am seeing. I saw an ugly looking grasshopper. This is madness. I heard whimpering and I quietly gasped, Dot is in trouble! I wanted to do something, but I can't be discovered by the grasshoppers. All I can do is pray for a miracle now.

Flik stopped the madness though. Dot then came up to us after she was released while Hopper was talking about the ants forgetting their place. I knelt down and comforted Dot and said, "Are you ok Dot? Did that mean grasshopper tried to hurt you? He tried to didn't he? Don't worry, I won't let him harm you while I'm here."

Dot gave me a small smile. However I didn't notice Hopper taking a notice of me and Atta said, "Iris. Iris, hello I'm talking to you, Iris!" I looked up and said, "What?" Atta then said, "Iris, you've been discovered." I gasped and had my eyes wide.

Hopper then asked who I am and Atta said, "This is our friend, Iris." I glared at the grasshopper. He then said, "Iris, this is a very unusual situation for us. Your beauty and my love for you. These are new to me."

I said to him, "Hopper how dare you talk about my beauty and your love? You're a grasshopper, how can you be in love with me? You never saw me until now." He then asked me to marry him and I got disgusted with my eyes wide.

I then said, "I would never marry you. I would rather be alone. You are treating the ants like slaves. I can not marry you!" This made the other grasshoppers gasp. The ants were surprised. Then Hopper ordered the double order of food and that made the ants gasp.

Hopper said that they'll be back at the end of the season when the last leaf falls. Atta and I looked up at the sky. It won't give them much time. Hopper said that I would have decide to marry him when he gets back. He then said, "You ants have a nice summer. Let's ride!"

The grasshoppers then left. Then the ants looked at Flik with a nervous look on his face. The queen then looked at me worriedly. I can't marry Hopper and I never will. I have decided that, but I would have to wait and face him.

I don't know if I am ready for it.
