Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Hornet and Phantom. Enjoy the 1500-word chapter. I don't own Bleach, Tite Kubo and a few others do.

Argimenus slid backwards, sparks flying from his swords as Sui rushed forwards. She spun her sword, an urge to murder Argimenus fueling her.

"No…" Argimenus hissed before he was sent skidding backwards. "Where did you did obtain this amount of strength!?" Argimenus screeched as he gripped a pillar next to him.

Sui vaulted over the pillar, slamming feet first into Argimenus and throwing him into the wall. The ancient stone crumbled and cracked under his weight.

"My comrade…" Sui started to say before looking over to Riku who continued to fight. "My friend. The one who you just skewered. You claim to be strong, yet you throw your underlings at me. My comrade fought because he cares about me, you don't care about anything but yourself." Sui added, her eyes narrowing as she did so.

Argimenus lunged forwards, eager to kill her. Sui ducked another overextended slash, turning to kick him backwards.

"Don't you dare judge me, you worthless B****!" Argimenus screeched, his swords flying. "Damn your reapers made the Arrancar WEAK! We constantly rely on you. It's SICKENING! We used to take what we want, we used to rule like royalty!" Argimenus roared as he continued to slash at Sui.

Sui locked blades with Argimenus, sparks flying from her sword. She glared into the soulless eyes of the rouge Arrancar and was greeted by the soulless eyes of the creature. It had nothing more than bloodlust, no more desire to do anything more than conquer and enslave.

"One who cannot seek help is too prideful to exist," Sui stated before kicking off Argimenus's chest. "And you care for nothing but your selfish nature. That is why you fail because you value NOTHING but being the leader. You have no ambition, no planning, no consideration for anyone or anything yet you consider yourself above everyone or anything." Sui hissed as she growled, slashing Argimenus backwards.

This creature was everything she despised. It had no soul, no heart or direction when it came down to it. This beast was just an animal who wanted to drag them down to their level of depravity when it came down to it. Sui hummed to herself, she needed to finish this fight before Riku succumbed to her wounds when it came to it.

Sui spun before transforming her weapon into the cursed stinger he dreaded so much. Sui threw herself into the fight once more, she wanted him dead, and she would have it when it came down to it. Sui was powerful when it came down to it. Sui was determined to kill him, she wanted him to be cut down and be done with it, being forced to bring him into a lie when it came down to it.

"Damn you, damn you to hell!" Argimenus roared as he screeched to himself. "You know NOTHING about me, you know NOTHING about my plans. I will not stop until you are dust on the ground, blood on my blades!" Argimenus shouted before he rushed forward.

Sui flipped into a kick which slammed him into the stomach which caused Argimenus to double over. She slammed her stinger into his stomach, ripping into it and forming another butterfly signal. Argimenus retreated backwards, his pride battered, and his soul was cut apart, he watched as Sui prepared for another mark, eager to cut this Arrancar down before he could harm anyone else.

He knew for a fact that she was possibly going to win before this battle was over. However? He was not done yet. He will not make a mistake here when it comes down to it. This setback would change NOTHING. Nor would it stop the plans he put into play…. Not at all.

Sui went to stab him through the stomach before he smashed through the wall, perching atop a pillar. The spider-like Arrancar turned over his shoulder to look at Sui.

"I do not have time to deal with a worm like you," Argimenus stated before he scuttled up the pillar. "I'll make sure to murder you first when I take over Hueco Mundo!" Argimenus stated before he kicked off the pillar.

Sui rushed towards the hole in the wall. She looked over the dense jungle-like area as she turned to look through the forest. She cursed, unsure of what to do next. This coward was faster than her. He'd be gone by the time she reached the ground. She also didn't plan on taking on whatever traps that he had planted, she was an assassin… And the advantage of surprise was lost.

"Damn it!" Sui hissed before she slammed a fist into the wall next to her.

"Ugh…" Riku groaned as Sui turned towards him.

"RIKU!" Sui hissed before she looked at her wounded and hurt friend. "You are stupid, idiotic…! Damn you, what have you done?" Sui questioned as she looked at her friend.

"I thought I'd distract him so you could land a disabling strike," Riku stated to her as she rushed to his side. "I think it helped, though. You drove him off. I should have guessed that he wasn't ready for your swordsmanship." Riku added to which Sui glared at her friend.

It was so vexing, but she had defeated Argimenus for now, if there was another issue? She'd handle him, but currently? There was nothing more that could be done here.

This fight was over, but their war with that monster was just starting. That was all they could currently do, and it angered her to deal with it.

"Can you stand?" Sui questioned as she bent down to him. "There's still work to be done when you think about it," Sui stated as she hummed to see if she could deal with him.

"I'll live, it just hurts when I try to move," Riku stated as he hummed as the reaper shook his head. "Are you ok?" Riku questioned while he slowly tried to climb to his feet.

There was a roar of pain as the wounded reaper was forced to collapse. Sui cursed and noticed his cuts were somewhat deep. She needed to think about what to do next. She looked at her reaper coat before rushing to try and get something to deal with it.

"Stay still, damn it." Riku heard from Sui while she rushed to her coat, turning and tearing it up. "Your live, those wounds are deep, but they don't seem bad. There were plenty of cuts they could have made. You will be visiting the medical division as SOON as we arrive back there." Sui stated while she hummed and clicked her fingers together.

"Is that an order?" Sui heard from Riku whom she glared at him with annoyance. "Just joking. I'm assuming that you will be escorting me there at the moment?" Riku questioned before he slowly pulled himself to the wall.

"Do you want to die or have me kick you in the skull?" Sui questioned before she hummed. "You are a fool. I cannot believe I am even allowing you to do this. I'm quite fed… Don't do something that stupid again." Sui added as she smirked.

Sui chuckled to herself.

This fool was something else. She could not picture not having him around. He decided to be here, but she decided to protect her soldiers. Anyone could do something like that, but it was only due to her leadership that this had happened. Still? She could not wish to have anyone else in her group who wasn't like this.

"If it helps? I will come. Someone has to make sure you don't do something stupid." Sui stated as she slowly helped Riku up. "I swear I will not hold back in our next duel if you are this eager to die in combat," Sui added, a twinge of amusement in her voice.

She knew that this wouldn't be the end of their story. She knew that Argimenus had a personal reason to hate them and try and kill them both now. All Sui had done had made this fight this battle personal and given him a reason to want to hunt down and kill them both.

"He's a very cocky and arrogant monster, isn't he?" Riku questioned as Sui started to dress his wounds. "You know that's a weakness, right? He won't take you as a major threat until it's too late when it comes down to it. I won't forget how much he hated a simple joke." Riku stated to which Sui could only smirk.
