I never created DC canon.

Supergirl's smile was the first thing Amos viewed. His eyes were wide for a moment. He sat up in bed and looked around.
Amos started to squint. ''Why are you happy? What are you up to?'' he asked.

''Nothing.''

One word Amos wasn't exactly fond of.

''You're always up to something, Supergirl. Seizing my sermon papers. Replacing my toilet with a litter box.''

''I thought we could battle Smallville creatures together. The usual.''

''You couldn't wait until I appeared in the kitchen?''Amos asked.

''No.''

''Wait for me by the front door,'' Amos said before Supergirl departed. He switched from blue pajamas to his usual preacher outfit. A dark coat with matching trousers and shoes. One string tie attached to a blouse. One hat with a wide brim. He joined Supergirl downstairs.

Amos went outside with Supergirl before they searched for a creature or maybe two of them to defeat. They smiled when one animal appeared and bared its fangs. They rolled to sides the minute it attempted to scratch them.

The preacher's eyes widened as soon as the creature's tail struck Supergirl's arm and knocked her down. ''Supergirl!''
He ran to Supergirl and was gentle as he held her. She was barely conscious.

Scowling, Amos was tempted to use a tentacle from his mouth to avenge Supergirl when the creature turned and left.
Worry appeared in his eyes as he focused on her. Amos refused to imagine her demise as his final view. He started to smile with her when she opened her eyes.

''Are you willing to battle another creature?'' Amos muttered.

''Let's eat instead.''

Amos continued to smile. He nodded and carried Supergirl to their farm.
