A.N: I decided to add in a month and day to what I had written the year that my SI had found himself in, as well as fix an error that I had made in terms of how many years between 2179 and 2183. I'm also going to be adding a month and day to another chapter that I wrote a year for, just to make it easy for me to keep track of my timeline.

Also, let me know if you guys want me to rename the chapters to something potentially clever. If you do, I'm willing to listen to suggestions.

I was walking down the sidewalk when I noticed someone crossing the street, not noticing the truck coming down the street so I rushed towards the person, pushing them out of the way before I was sent flying into unconsciousness.

I awoke to find myself in a black void before standing up and turning around to find an unknown woman standing there a few feet away.

"Who are you?" I asked the woman.

The woman smiled before saying "I'm what you might know as a random omnipotent being but for simplicity's sake, you may call me Hera if you wish."
Before I could remark on her name, another question came to mind so I asked "Where am I, if I may ask?"

"My dear, you're in the void, endless nothingness, or if you wish, the in-between."

I stood there in shock as I processed what I was told, and I was pretty sure that it was visible on my face as her face took on a sympathetic look.

"D- does that mean that I'm dead?" I asked

"Not quite, dear. You are in-between life and death but there is another option, you can choose to be sent to a universe that you believed to be fiction." She said as I started to think.

As I finished thinking about my options, I asked "What are the risks if I choose the third option?"

"There are no more second chances if you die, and there is no guarantee of when you'll end up. However, I'll be keeping watch over you, at least early on in your new life without directly getting involved." She said with a serious look on her face.

I paced back and forth as I considered my options before stopping and saying "I'll go with the third option."

She smiled as she said, "Very well, I wish you luck in your new life, and remember I'll be watching you."

as soon as she said that, suddenly a bright, white light flashed and I passed out.

In my unconsciousness, I felt something prodding at me, and I opened my eyes to see what looked to be either a turian or a really good cosplayer so I said "Would you mind not prodding at me please."

"Yeah well, you're going to have to either move elsewhere or get arrested. This will be your first warning." The turian said.

I stood up from the ground and looked around, seeing various aliens as well as some humans. I felt confused so I asked, "When and where am I?"

"You're on the Citadel, more specifically the wards of the Citadel. As for the when, the date is June 4th, 2179." The turian stated.

After he said that, my mind started thinking about the events to come, and I started to come up with a plan to join Shepard four years from now then my thoughts went towards if Shepard would be a paragon, renegade, or hopefully somewhere in-between. I shook the thoughts out of my head and I said "Thanks for the warning, officer."

I walked away and I explored most of the wards before I bumped into someone and I stumbled back before looking at the person, about to apologize when I looked into the eyes of a krogan which made me tense up slightly before noticing a sly grin on his face and he said: "What do you want, pyjak?"

I opened my mouth but before I could say anything, I heard the krogan say "I'm just messing with you. Name's Prevak Chakor and I'm betting that you're new to the Citadel."

"Was I really that obvious?" I asked as I rubbed my neck nervously.

"Only to those who look closely. Besides I could use someone like you in my crew, with some training of course." Chakor said as he smirked in a way that only a krogan could.

I took my time considering his offer before I said "I accept your offer to join your crew. by the way my name's William."

Chakor's smirk grew into a full-blown smile as we shook hands and he said "This is going to be the start of a good partnership
