A.N: Just in case you guys noticed, I've temporarily removed the pairing because I wasn't 100% sure on who I would want to pair my SI with. So I'll be giving it some thought as I write future chapters.

A few hours later, Prevak Chakor explained to me that his crew wasn't like other mercenary groups and that they worked in cells with each of the leaders of the different cells being known as the five heads.

As he explained, we were approaching a building so I asked "Is this where we're meeting your crew?"

"Perceptive one, aren't you? Yeah, this is where we're meeting them however let me do the talking since you would be the rookie." Chakor said as we entered the building and my eyes briefly looked around at the surroundings before they landed on four people standing a few feet away.

Chakor and I stopped in front of the four standing there and he said "Heads up, we've got a new rookie joining us so why don't you four introduce yourselves."

The first to step forward was a quarian who joyfully exclaimed "A new comrade! Welcome, my name is Wutor'Xelan nar Nakkra. I'm the resident tech expert, it's nice to meet you."

I was caught off guard at his exclamation momentarily before I focused my attention on the next person to step forward, this time it was an Asari who calmly said "Hello, I'm Xanolla V'naris. I'm in charge of espionage, it's a pleasure to meet you."

I shook the hand that was stretched out towards me then as Xanolla stepped back, the salarian stepped forwards and spoke "Greetings, My name is Aerirn Nurban. I'm in charge of the medical division, after introductions, come see me for your medical examination."

I watched as Aerirn stepped back and the turian walked up to me and in a tone of voice that reminded me of a drill instructor spoke "Name's Caesonia Petaion, so you're the newbie, I'm looking forward to putting you through the wringer as you humans sometimes say."

I shook her hand and I turned towards Chakor before I said "Interesting people you work with."

He chuckled before saying "I wouldn't have it any other way, they're like family to me. Now, come on time to give you the tour."

Chakor and I walked off and went through various parts of the building like the armory, the barracks as well as the infirmary which happened to be the last stop on the tour since I would have to come here eventually.

"This is your stop." He said while patting my shoulder before walking off towards the main part of the building and I walked into the infirmary.

As I stepped into the infirmary, I could see that Aerirn was busy looking at whatever he was looking at before he looked towards me and said "Ah! Just the person that I needed to see, time for your examination. Please take a seat."

I moved towards where he pointed and sat down when he started scanning me with his Omni-tool before he suddenly looked towards me with surprise in his eyes and said "Looks like we'll have to integrate gene mods since it appears that you never had it done, go ahead and lie down so I can get started."

A few hours after the surgery, I sat up slowly as Aerirn says "Your training will have to be postponed for a while so the gene mods have a chance to integrate properly, I would highly advise that you don't do anything too strenuous so limit yourself to only light exercises and make sure that you balance your diet."

"Alright, thanks doc." I said with a nod of acknowledgment as I left the infirmary.

I walked down the halls of the building for a while before I bumped into Wutor who said "Ah, comrade! I was just looking for you, Chakor wanted me to show you to the quarters so just follow me. Oh, before I forget here's your Omni-tool."

I looked down to see that he was handing me a wristband so I took it, putting it on my left wrist and immediately it activated, covering my forearm with a holographic display.

After Wutor told me how to turn it off, I turned toward him and said "Thank you for this."

"You don't have to thank me though I appreciate the fact that you did, so you are welcome." He said as we walked towards the quarters while having a simple conversation along the way.

Another chapter down and hopefully I can try to make future chapters a little bit more interesting though if you can, let me know what I need to improve upon.
