Day 3: Snowball Fight; CobyLuffy

Summary: Coby has it so bad.

Ice trickled down the back of his neck, melting to frigid water against his hot skin. Koby's breath misted in little puffs against the bank he crouched behind, fogging up his glasses. The air was still, though he strained to hear the smallest noise.

Around him the snow was littered with splattered balls of ice, holes, and humanoid shapes impressed into the ice. His fingers were past the tingling stage and fully into the stage where he wasn't sure they were there at all unless they were in his line of sight.

A pressure, the slightest air movement, like a sound right before you fall asleep-

In an instant, Koby exploded into movement, the packed snow in his hand leaving his palm faster than the eye could see. Up and over the embankment, streaking through the air, the cerulean blue sky so bright the world sparkled.

But too late!

His embankment shattered, the cold flakes flying outward. A heavy shape slammed into his midriff, sending him toppling backwards! Just as quickly as it started, all was quiet again. Well, except for his heavy breathing as Koby stared upward towards the sky.

"Shishishi! Got you!"

Deep brown eyes grinned down at him, straw hat tucked beneath a bright red beanie. Cold hands sat on his chest, rubber legs straddling his waist. And that smile. That amazing, wondrous smile, so big and real and wow.

"Yep, but I'll get you next Luffy-san," Koby smiled back at him.

"If you say so!" Luffy laughed. His breath misted in Koby's face, making him flush. "You're as pink as your hair Koby!" And before Koby could make a move, Luffy slipped his icy fingers under his jacket. He squeaked, struggling to push him away. "You're so warm!"

"And you're too cold!" he yelped. Luffy laughed again, mercifully moving his fingers away and instead nipping Koby's pink nose. Before he could pull away, Koby slipped his gloved fingers behind the nape of Luffy's neck, holding him close and brushing their lips together.

Luffy grinned against his lips, the snow melting around them. After a moment, moments that always lasted eternity and were never enough, Luffy mumbled against mouth, "can we go inside and eat?"

At Koby's nod, he jumped up, tugged Koby to his feet and they ran back towards the cabin, smoke puffing from the chimney, hand in hand.
