Next Life with Monstergirls

Disclaimer: I don't own DXD

Despite flopping back on the bed, Issei found it very hard to just rest and relax. And who could blame him? He had gotten isekai'd! And into a world filled with monstergirls! And not the kind that he'd have to fight off to prevent being literally fucked to death. Which was not a bad way to go, of course, but he was preferring this situation.

Not to mention, what a cute...nun? Priestess? Whatever Asia was, she was cute as hell. Hopefully, celibacy wasn't a vow she had to take.

Still, this seemed like a good enough time to study the room. It wasn't that big, but it was cozy enough. Like the temple, this smaller building was made of stone, and the room had a window next to the half-bed he was on. It was comfy though and had a four-post frame made of wood. There was a wooden desk with a mirror against one of the walls, a cabinet next to the door, and a small table with two chairs in a corner. So, pretty bare-bones, but he wasn't too surprised. This wasn't a hotel, it was a place for people like him to...adjust to this new world.

Speaking of which, he leaned up to look out the window. He already saw it once, but the second time just made it seem a bit more real: A fantasy city filled with monstergirls. People went about their days as if this was every day for them. Because it was! No one gawked at the catgirls picking up groceries, or the centaur giving a ride to a clearly drunk fellow, or...okay, people were giving odds looks to one group. Was that a doggirl in armor interrogating a harpy, pinning her to the wall? Wait, no, that was a doggirl guard making out with a harpy while pinning her to a wall. And getting rather handsy with the avian. No one tried to stop them, but many looked notably flushed as they passed the couple by.

"I love this place," Issei decided with a grin.

"Well, it'd be weird if you didn't."

Issei turned and was treated to the sight of a catgirl. She was a bit on the petite side with silvery purple hair, wearing a loose white shirt with brown pants, and carrying a tray of food. "Hello, kitty," Issei joked, unable to resist himself.

She snorted while playfully rolling her eyes. "Like I never heard that before," she said as she set the food on the table. "I hope you like vegetables because we are overstocked on that."

"I think I could eat anything right about now," Issei said with a smile. "So, I'm Issei and you are...?"

"Chaika. I'm part of Asia's harem," she introduced casually.

Issei nearly tripped as he moved to the table. "H-harem?" he repeated in a sputter. "Asia has a harem!?"

"Jeeze, she really gave you the short version," Chaika said with a grin. "Yes, she has a harem! It's weird if a human doesn't have a harem of monstergirls."

"Even if they're women?" Issei asked, unable to resist the image of Asia with a bunch of catgirls. It was somewhere between hot and heartstoppingly adorable.

"Yep," Chaika confirmed casually, letting him process that.

"I'm in paradise. True, honest, paradise," Issei said in awe. "So, um...you mind if I ask some questions?"

"Sure," Chaika answered, taking a seat across from him. "You mind if I steal some of the carrots?"

"I'd say be my guest, but I'm technically yours," Issei retorted with a chuckle as he ate some form of green, rather unsure of the name of said foods. "So, I'm not sure the polite way to ask this, but-"

"How do you get a harem?" Chaika guessed with a grin, getting a sheepish look. "No need to look embarrassed! Like I said, it'd be weird if you didn't love what you've seen of Teras so far. Now, there are two ways to get monstergirls. You can either go out after wild ones to get them to imprint on you, which you are so not prepared to even attempt yet, or you can buy already tamed ones."

"Buy them?" Issei repeated in surprise, looking curious and just a tiny bit concerned. "This a slave thing?"

"Well, you can call us that if that's what you're into, but you can't really call someone a slave if they're willing, I think," Chaika answered with a shrug. "Basically, once a monstergirl allows a master or mistress to imprint on them, the monstergirl becomes very submissive and loving. Buuut the catch is, the monstergirl has to be willing to imprint on you. So, yeah, if a monstergirl is willing to change owners, they can trade."

"And you're all fine with that?" Issei clarified.

"Yep," Chaika answered with a blunt grin. "And before you ask, no, imprinting isn't brainwashing. We like serving humans, okay? But some of us only like serving specific ones. It's kind of like a soulmate thing. Well, Soulowner, to make a joke."

Issei thought about all of that for a moment before accepting it, for now. "And...the human women are into this as well?" Issei asked with a perverse edge.

"Oh, you have no idea," Chaika informed with a meaningful grin. "Asia knows allll the right places to scratch."

Issei nearly choked on his food, sending Chaika into a speel of laughter. "I-if I die here again, I'm haunting you!" Issei mock threatened before clearing his throat. "But thank you for that wonderful imagery."

"You're very welcome. But yeah, if you actually tried to free monstergirls, I promise the only thing you're going to get is angry or scared ladies, no gratitude at all," Chaika warned.

"...So, does that mean someone can't stop a human from mistreating one of you?" Issei asked with a scowl.

Chaika looked mildly surprised before smiling knowingly. "Don't worry too much on that. There are plenty of things to protect monstergirls from abusive owners, laws or otherwise," she assured vaguely before making a face. "Just, you know, make sure it's not a masochist thing."

"...That is a valid point," Issei acknowledged with a pause and a small chuckle. "So, how long you've been here?"

"Oh, with Asia? I was one of her first monstergirls. But I've been at the temple since I was a kitten, with the priest that taught Asia about this world, before he retired," Chaika explained. "So, I've basically been spending most of my life seeing Reincarnies shuffle on through."

"I guess I'm not that interesting, eh?" Issei said sheepishly.

"Being uninteresting is good! It means you'll be adjusting well," Chaika assured brightly.

"Yeah, I think I will," Issei agreed before looking mildly curious. "So, um, do you have elves or did I imagine that?"

"Oh, they exist, but they're rare," Chaika answered, trying not to get his hopes up. "Don't worry, you'll get a general overview of us soon. Anyway, I should probably let you eat and rest, or Asia might not spank me tonight."

"...Okay, one, hot, but don't you mean she might spank you?" Issei asked, eyeing her suspiciously.

Chaika smirked. "I know what I said."

Issei starred for a moment. "Well, I just got my first boner in this world."

"Congrats," Chaika said sarcastically as she stood. "Nice to meet you Issei."

"You too, Chaika," Issei returned, watching her tail as she left. "...Fucking catgirls," he said with a stupid, pleased grin on his face.

Issei both loved and hated the next few days. He hated them only because, as it turned out, his body felt like it was going through the growing pains of puberty all over again, but in the span of a few days. In other words, he felt like shit most of the time.

But on the upside, monstergirls. And Asia, definitely Asia. He was really enjoying the priestess's company as she tried to explain this world to him and ease his...transition? Immigration? What did they even call it on Earth when you became a citizen of another country?

"Issei Hyoudou. Kuoh, Japan. Age 17. Arrived on the thirty-second day of June," Asia read off.

"Wait, thirty-second?" Issei repeated in confusion as they walked through the temple leisurely.

"The year here is a bit longer than on earth. We use the same calendar system with twelve months, but all the months have thirty-four days here," Asia explained, almost automatically. "You were still in school, so you don't have any skills yet."

"Is that a problem?" Issei asked in concern.

"Oh no. It's just that if you already had a profession you were good with, we try to point you to an equivalent you can do here," Asia assured as she flipped through the paperwork.

"Huh. You guys have clipboards. Neat," Issei noted idly. Living in a fantasy world like this made him wonder weird things from time to time, like when clipboards were even invented in his old world.

Eventually, the obvious question had come up of why a world with regular amounts of people from Earth dropping in didn't have more advanced technology. And the answer was simple: The laws of physics were a bit different in this world. Meaning that many inventions on Earth just didn't work in this world at all. It was a better answer than Issei expected if he was honest.

"Um, Issei? I know I said it's optional to fill in the part asking how you died, but the higher-ups do at least want a date. To make keep track of what we know about Earth," Asia requested apologetically.

Issei silently, awkwardly took the stack of papers and pen to write the date of his death. A terribly morbid notion, but he was getting used to the idea that he had died instead of just pretending he was teleported to this wonderful land.

"Well, that should cover just about everything," Asia mused. "Next we need-"

"Is there a priest or priestess here?" a voice echoed through the chambers

"Now who could that be?" Asia wondered curiously as she headed to the main part of the temple, Issei following after her with interest.

Or he was, until he saw the arrivals.

There were two monster girls: a lamia and one that looked like a centaur but with a horn. Next to them was a breathtakingly beautiful woman with crimson red hair and enchanting sea-green eyes. She had a stunning body and amazing tits, clad in what he could only call a shoulderless battle corset, with some armor over her lower arms and chest, topped with knee-length boots that had metal tips for the toes.

"Lady Rias? This is a surprise," Asia greeted curiously as she approached them.

"Priestess Asia," the redhead greeted with a charming smile. "I'm sorry for the sudden arrival, but it is a bit of an emergency," she said motioning to the equine monstergirl, who dutifully knelt with a pained expression.

It became obvious why, as her horn was cracked and badly at that. "Oh you poor thing," Asia said in concern as she approached the injured woman. "What happened?'

"We were dealing with a squirrel girl that had gone Feral, and she tried to take a bite out of Murayama," Rias explained, rubbing the ears of the brown-haired unicorn, lessening the pain a tad. "I'm sorry for the short notice, but I wanted to ask you before going to a doctor. They'd probably say to just cut it off."

"Sometimes they are right, but not this time, I believe," Asia said comfortingly, tilting the unicorn's head down gently as she examined the damage. "I should be able to heal this, but you are lucky. Much more and I wouldn't be able to help."

"Thank you, Priestess," Murayama said gratefully with a whimper.

"Hush, just try to relax for now," Asia instructed soothingly as she brought her hands up to the appendage, a glow emitting from them.

Issei watched the exchange with fascination. This was his first time seeing real, actual magic in this world and it was amazing. Asia herself was amazing in general; always helpful, always caring. It was like she didn't have a mean bone in her body.

Issei realized he was being stared at. Warily, he looked up to see the black and purple lamia was starring at him with a strange smile, like he was the mouse to her snake. He had to admit though, she was beautiful, with long silky black hair done up in a long ponytail and huge boobs hidden just behind a white kimono. He watched as her tail tapped the shoulder of her mistress and when the redhead looked her way, she nodded to Issei.

Those green eyes landed on Issei and he suddenly felt very unprepared. Paradise world or not, this babe was clearly someone impressive and important while he was still just a nobody. A nobody in paradise, but a nobody all the same!

That said, he swallowed thickly as Rias smirked coyly, looking to Asia as the healing finished. "There, all better. She should avoid any combat or training with her horn for a few days. If there's any trouble still, you should bring her back here, or to a doctor," Asia said with a warm smile.

"Thank you, Priestess Asia," Murayama said with a deep bow before rising to her four legs.

"I'm grateful to know we have someone around as reliable as you, Asia," Rias said with a smile before glancing back to Issei. "New arrival?"

"Hm? Oh, yes, this is Issei Hyoudou. He just arrived a couple days ago," Asia introduced politely before turning to the teen in question. "Issei, this is Lady Rias Gremory. She's a noble and considered one of the best Tamers of her generation."

"Nice to meet you, your nobleness?" Issei offered with a blush, already feeling like a fool.

Murayama looked unamused, a sharp contrast to her owner and harem-sister. "Well, I hope you find a happy life in Teras, Issei," Rias said with a nod as she turned to leave the temple. The lamia looked over her shoulder and winked at Issei before they left.

"Well, I looked like an idiot just now," Issei said with a sigh.

"Hm, she normally ignores everyone when she's here," Asia mused idly before shaking it off. "I'm sorry, where were we?"

"I think you were double-checking the paperwork for my citizenship," Issei answered, eager to change the subject. "Hey, Asia? Can I ask a weird question?"

"Sure, but I'm pretty sure it'll sound normal to me at this point," Asia said in amusement.

Issei gabbed a thumb to the alter he had appeared on. "Well, you and the others make this reincarnation thing sound like it's natural, but this pretty much seems like a spot set up for a summoning ritual?"

"That question does come up occasionally," Asia admitted with a hum. "It does happen naturally, even before this place was built. The temple, to my understanding, was constructed in this exact spot because this is the area where reincarnations always appeared. The dais and the incense are part of a magic enchantment that focuses where the reincarnations appear. In other words, without it, there is a chance you could have appeared half a mile away from here in any direction."

"Oh, well, that's helpful," Issei admitted. "Speaking of which, you were amazing back there with that healing magic."

Asia blushed bashfully with a smile. "I actually do that all the time. When I decided to join the temple, I found out that I have a natural talent for healing magic. I'm still learning though."

"You say that like it makes you sound less awesome," Issei said with a grin.

"He's not wrong."

Issei nearly jumped out of his skin, looking over his shoulder at the doggirl covered in plate armor, holding a spear with a sword seethed on her waist. "How are you so sneaky?!"

Said doggirl rolled her eyes. "We already told you, our armor has some silencing enchantments on it," she reminded.

"Asuna, be nice now. You know that there isn't any magic on Earth," Asia reminded gently.

"Yes, Priestess Asia," Asuna accepted with a nod.

The Temple, unsurprisingly, had a set of guards to protect the place from unlikely attacks. Granted, it was only a half-dozen of them, and they were mainly there to protect Asia, to his understanding. They didn't talk much, but Asuna seemed to be the most sociable. All of them were doggirls though, he noticed curiously.

"But you are amazing, Priestess," Asuna said with a smile. "I don't think I've ever heard of healing magic as potent as yours before."

Asia flushed at the praise but smiled gratefully. "I'm just grateful I was given a gift that I could use to help others in this world."

Issei starred in awe of Asia's sheer selflessness and resisted the urge to hug her. By Asuna's wagging tail, the dogguard was in a similar state.

End of Chapter

Okay, there's chapter 2, and we get a bit of a deeper look into this world of monstergirls, while Issei adjusts and learns some things while enjoying Asia's company. And he met this world's versions of Rias. Also yes, everyone has a harem of monstergirls.

To answer some confusion, the Earth Issei came from is not canon DxD, its a mundane world. All DxD characters exist in Teras as humans or monstergirls, or eventually will. Some Xover ones too, as seen with Asuna(SAO) and Chaika(Cat Planet Cuties) but they're mainly making cameos as side characters.

Until next time, Merry Christmas!
