"Hey, I brought you some food to eat up for when you have to fight! My name is Peril the queen's champion. So what's your name?" The orange dragonet announced with a gleeful grin on her face.
"Clay." he replied monotone and saddened.
"Oh come on you have to eat."
"Why?"
"Because you can't die before I kill you!" she said with another bigger smile.
"What why?" Clay asked with an even more monotone voice.
"The arena hosts a match every day!" she said, sounding happier than anyone should. "Plus I've never got to fight a mudwing, because of the whole war and the same side thing. I'm so excited and can't wait to see you in the arena!"
"Are there any rules to this fight?" Clay asked, trying to sound tough but trying to see if he could use gazimon or leo mon to help in his fights.
"No, just no flying but besides that that's it. Why are you asking?" Peril asked
"No reason but now we can fight as two and not have to worry about getting others in our stuff." Gazimon said in the digivice.
"Gazimon not now!" Clay whispered to him. Peril did not seem to care about the voice due to the other weird things in the past days.
"Anyway I can't wait to fight you and that nightwing. You might not be that though but that nightwing is going to be a challenge with the mindreading." she said with another smile but this one ready for a challenge.
"Starflight, where is he?!"
"Over there on that piller" She pointed out the small dragonet who looked to be wanting his scrolls back.
"And tsunami?"
"Boring, I've fought many of them before."
"What about the rainwing glory or the sandwing glory?"
"Have not seen any dragons like that." She turned to fly away "anyway i'm off to fight cheer for me uh Clay right?"
"Yeah." he said, sounding more lively as he saw glory in a tree- like structure as Scarlet was presenting her.
"Today we have a fight between the champion Peril and Horizon the sandwing!" Announced prince Vermillion. "After four wins he will have to fight for his freedom today against the champion!"
"Yeah!" "fight!" "Kill him!" "Rip and tear!" all could be made out of the crowd as the dragons got into positions.
"I should watch this shouldn't I Caly?" Gazimon said, popping out of the digivice.
"It would probably be best Gazimon." Clay said, trying to stay quiet.
"Claws up!" Scarlet bellowed, starting the countdown .
"Fire ready!" She said with a sinister smile on her face.
"Fight!" She shouts.
As the two dragons circled each other. Horizon darts for Peril for an attack but suddenly the golden yellow on the dragon's tail turns black, and falls off as his stinger flies into a wall. The dark ash of what was his tail is now flying away in the wind. as he is about to shout out in pain he is stopped by Peril putting her talon around his mouth then shoving him to the ground and pinning him to it. Slowly the sandwing that had been a few feet taller than Peril now under her talons and melting under her heat. To add a little salt to his open burning skin, and scales she breathed fire on his dead till the skull was no longer able to be made out as one.
"Your winner with her 89th victory is my champion Peril!" Scarlet announced with a hiss.
"Clay I don't like how this might go if we have to fight her in hand to hand combat." Gazimon said as the look of horror that had just gone over his face was still on display.
"Gazimon i dont even think that Leomon could help us with this" Clay said with a worried look knowing that would soon be his fate..
"That concludes today's games goodnight!" Prince Vermillion shouted to the crowd.
Later that night Perial had a talk to have with Clay about something she saw in the burns wing of the palace. wondering if it had to do with the noise that she heard from him when his mouth did not move.
"Oh hey you are eating! Oh sorry I'll stay still or I can leave." Peril said watching him eat.
"No stay and talk it gets lonely up here." he spoke in a happy voice mostly due to him eating.
"Are you scared of me?"
"Of course I am, you just burned a sandwing to death in front of hundreds of dragons in front of my eyes!" he said, remembering the whole thing.
"Yeah you could have at least done it faster!" Gazimon said, popping up from the clay's wing.
"But you are better company than pigeons so let's talk." Clay said with a more calm expression due to gazimons sudden outburst and slight joke.
"What are you?" She said, looking at Gazimon.
"Ima digimon and i'm also clays partner in crime as of 23 hours ago!" He said in a cheerful grin and posed with his fingers in a v-like shape.
"It's kinda cute." Peril said, tilting her head.
"Hey i'm not cute im powerful i could have broken your queens arm you know" He tried to look tough but couldn't due to his size.
"Well I have captured a ball of talking fire. I know how crazy that sounds but I know where it is there is also a talking bee there!" Peril said with excitement.
"I feel like I know what you are talking about, probably some other digimon." Gazimon said, puzzled by the fact that the digital world only just opened a day ago.
"Oh and there is also some talking gears and a flower plant lizard thing." Petil said with a tone of questioning in her voice.
"Wait what color are the gears?" Gazimon asked.
"Yellow and grey with red eyes." Peril tried to remember what it looked like.
"A Hagurumon and DemiMeramon!" Gazimon shouted. "that's it thats what they are though i need to take a look at the others to identify them." both dragons stared at him with confusion.
"Well then I'll see you in the morning then." Peril said, giving clay a wink then flying off.
"..."
"..."
"And like that I leave." Gazimon said going back into the digivice
In the morning Clay had goten hauled off to the queen for a visit, seeing Tsunami fighting some guards as she was being taken to the same place.
"Starflight!" Clay yelled as starflight put his finger over his mouth to tell clay to shut up.
"What he is trying to tell you is that it's rude to talk to anyone before the queen in her throne room." Scarlet growled at Clay
"Let me go we are the-"
"Dragonets of destiny we know we know." Scarlet cut of Tsunami's speech. "You know not everyone hates this war. I get contenders for the arena and entertainment for my kingdom."
"So it's all right with that you dragons are dying all over the world?" Tsunami asked with a growl.
"Yes I am, this war has been the most fun since I was a dragonet." Scarlet replied almost instantaneously.
"But all of this killing could be stopped if you just put your ways behind and be nice to everyone!" Betamon called out from the digivice slowly materializing. "You and your dumb knak for vilance have a limit old hag you will soon find out why tyrants never live long."
"Oh and you are supposed to stop me how?"Scarlet said, eyeing the reptile.
"I-I…" Betamon hesitated "with what I can do and what my friends can help me with!"
"I would love to see you try in fact how about you and the seawing be the first fight for my hatching day fights then." Scarlet scoffed at the digimon.
"Fine then you are on."
"Betamon, are you crazy?!"Tsunami said, talking to the digimon.
"What, we can take them Tsu." Betamon said with a smile.
"Tsu?" Tsunami wondered if that's what Betamon was going to call her.
"Yeah Tsu it sounds cute and is still part of your name." Betamon started trying to justify her cause.
"Well i never got called that before so it's going to take some time getting used to it." Tsunami said with a smirk on her face.
"Fine then your opponent will be seawing." Scarlet said with a smile knowing what comes next.
"Queen Scarlet where is sunny?" Clay asked.
"Oh that boring little sandwing I gave her to burn, and should be in her wing of the palace. she does collect things that are out of the normality of life." Scarlet said, twirling her talon around.
"You can't give her to burn!" Tsunami stepped in.
"I'm the queen, I can do whatever I please!" Scarlet said with a roar.
"What did you do to Glory? Why is hse so tired and still?" Clay asked.
"Nothing, she is a rainwing. They are like this mudwing, slow and lazy." Scarlet looked at Glory then back at Clay.
"Now on to today's fights you all know it is my hatching day so we have 3 fights to get to today allowing with a special guest. Queen Burn of the sandwings is here to join us today, give her a round of applause!" Scarlet said with enthusiasm. "Today's first fight will be Tsunami of the seawings and Betamon vs. Gill of the seawings!"
The crowd roared with excitement "A seawing on seawing fight and a new challenger from an unknown tribe this is the best fight yet."
"We all know that one way to boost a seawings ferocity is depriving them of water and that's what we did to gill." Vermillion said "so bring him out and let's get this fight started!"
Once Gill was brought out and the fight started Betamon snuck behind him with a plan.
"Tsu im ready!" She called out.
"Then do it Betamon!" Tsunami yelled as betamon charged an attack
"WATER TOWER!" They called out as a tower of fresh water about 3ft tall surround him.
"AH-AH-AUGH!" Gill shouted the water slowly soaking into his scales. "I-I WONT LOSE TO A LOWLIFE LIKE YOU!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.
"Tsu it's not enough water we need more water!" Betamon told Tsunami "can you shoot water or something as a seawing?"
"No I can't." Tsunami said, catching Betamon as she was thrown off of Gill. " we can't if we don't find a way to bring him back we have to kill him!"
"No we can do this Tsunami, this is what us water dwellers can do." Betamon said.
Suddenly, as if a click had gone off, Betamon had started a new friendship with someone she could call her sister. Both of the water creatures had moved in sync with Tsunami on the assault letting Betamon recover from the outflow of energy used in the last attack. Thats until Gill's attention had been diverted from Tsunami that she turned around to look at a now glowing Betamon being covered in a white beam of light
"BETAMON DIGIVOLVE TO…" could be heard from it as slowly the dark green turned to turquoise and her body extended into a long serpentine like fashion. As the light soon disappeared as from it was a new digimon
"SEADRAMON!" she yelled as she rushed into battle.
"What is that monster!?""where is the cute green one?""it's going to kill us all!" The crowd was stunned and confused at Seadramon's grand entrance.
"WATER WAVE!" Seadramon shouted as a massive wave had rolled into the arena. Splashing onto Gill and Tsunami sending Gill into a wall and Tsunami to her side. "Sorry tsu!"
"I'm fine, in fact I feel better than ever!" She yelled at Seadramon thinking she could not hear her now that she towers over even the queen's platform even when she was coiled up.
"Wh-what am I doing out here in the sun?" Gill said, confused looking at Tsunami.
"You ok now Gill?" Tsunami asked with Seadramon over her shoulder.
"Yes I'm fine now but those markings are just like hers?" he said trying to put together what he knows. "You-you are the missing princess that we lost years ago!"
"Im what?" Tsunami asked confused.
"She is not what the main problem is" Seadramon said. "But you are." she said looking at queen Scarlet and princess Burn.
"Seadramon due to them as you sea fit" Tsunami said with vigor.
"Affirmative. ICE BLAST!" She froze part of scarlet's face and all of her left wing. As well as hitting burn, freezing her stinger off "now let's get your friends Tsunami" Seadramon slithered to the pillars Freezing the chains to let them break out and carry them down to ground level.
"Three cheers for the sea monster!" called out an icewing prisoner. "Let's all call off fighting till we get home to our families" called out a sandwing prisoner. "Finally let us leave" another sandwing called out trying to fly away realizing that he still had his wing clamp on him.
"Here we can help get them off but first Seadramon." Tsunami called out.
"Yes Tsu?" she said.
"Can you freeze the clamps off the icewings?" Tsunami asked.
"Yes I can. ICE BLAST!" Seadramon said freezing them off.
"Felt like home for a second, thanks!" said one icewing a bit larger than the others. "My name is Hailstorm, and I'll be going back to the kingdom of ice. Let's go Icewings!"
"As for the rest of you we will burn the clamps off one tribe at a time!" Clay had shouted at the crowd of prisoners. "First the seawings sense they have the longest flight to the kingdom of the sea!"
"Um excuse me but you are Tsunami right?" Gill asked the dragonet.
"Yes i am Gill" Tsunami said
"Oh how me and your mother have missed you!" he said, hugging the young dragonet with Seadramon shrinking back into Betamon and joining in on the hug.
"Wait so you meant what you said back there?" tsunami said not hugging back in shock.
"Yes and when we find that traitor webs we will kill him!"Gill said, clutching his fist.
"No don't webs did a good job raising us so please don't hurt him." Tsunami shreaked.
"Guys I'm going to Burn's wing of the palace to get sunny" Clay had said with Starflight finishing the last sandwing's clamps.
"Ok just don't get caught Clay" Glory had said after dropping from the tree she was sleeping in. "In fact I'm going with you."
"Fine, let's go." Clay said as he took off into the sky.
"Clay! Clay! Have you heard about what happened to the prisoners!" Peril shouted as she crashed into clay.
"Ahh" they both shouted as clay without thinking grabbed onto Peril and carried her up to a ledge and set her down.
"Wait Clay are you ok?"Peril said with amazement on her face.
"I'm fine, what about you?" Clay asked her.
"Clay you touched me and did not burn, not only that you held on for a good minute or so." she said still with her jaw hanging open.
"I did?" Clay asked.
"Yes you did." Glory said.
"Well I would love to talk about it, let's go get sunny." Clay said taking off towards the palace where sunny was being held thanks to Gazimon running off to where he found her after last night.
After finding sunny and setting her free of her cage some things had begun to move around the room at an accelerated rate hitting Peril in the side.
"Hehe oops." the little ball of fire said.
"Hello little one." peril said with a smile before asking why she was talking to fire
"Hi DemiMeramon!" Gazimon said as he waved.
"Oh hi Gazimon!" DemiMeramon said as he floated towards Gazimon. "There are others here Gazimon."
"What other digimon are here?"
"A fanbeemon, floramon, and hagurumon!" DemiMeramon said with a smile slowly floating to Perils side. "Look over there in the cage!"
"Thanks Peril if you please." Gazimon almost demanded.
"Oh sure!" SHe said melting the bars open to let them out.
"Thank you!" they all shouted.
"Now let's get out of here!" Gazimon said to exsite them.
"Yeah." they all shouted hoppin on clays back.
"Wait ma'am?" DemiMeramon asked Peril.
"Yea little one?" Peril responded
"Can I eat your fire ?" he asked with a cute look on his face.
"Sure, I have tons to spare!" she said without a second thought
"Thank you ma'am!" DemiMeramon shouted as he started to consume her fire, cooling her down and him getting bigger till they heard.
"DEMIMERAMON WARP DIGIVOLVE TO…" He shouted as he grew legs and arms and a body.
"MERAMON!" He shouted, finishing. "Thank you again!"
"No problem!" she said, turning a dark amberish color.
"Do you mind if I stick with you from now on?" Meramon asked
"Sure!" she said, giving Meramon a fist bump and suddenly he disappeared into the brand new orange digivice on her wrist. "What happened to him!?"
"He is there in the bracelet." Clay and Gazimon said at the same time.
"Yo whats up Peril." Meramon said from the digivice.
"That's what you were doing now I get it and I guess that's how you keep appearing and disappearing Gazimon." Peril said.
"Now let's get going." Sunny said in a cheeky grin with fanbeemon on her head.
As they took off they did not see the nightwings flying off away from the skywing arena in a hurry, but they did see Seadramon there hurt after being heavily burned.
