Chazz: 3600 LP
Armed Dragon LV 7: 2800 ATK
Jaden: 1600 LP
Chazz: Armed Dragon LV 7, attack Jaden with Dragon Talon Terror!
Jaden: Not so fast Chazz, I play the trap Hero Spirit!
Avian appeared in front of Jaden and blocked Armed Dragon's attack.
Chazz: What happened?
Jaden: Due to Hero Spirit's effect, during the turn an Elemental Hero is destroyed, I can reduce from one of your attacks to 0 once.
Syrus: That was too close.
Michael: Agreed. Hopefully Jaden can get the ball rolling and turn the duel back in his favor.
Chazz: I end my turn.
Jaden: I gotta get something started. I draw! Hey Winged Kuriboh, I could sure use your help pal. I summon Winged Kuriboh in defense mode!
Level 1/Light/Fairy
ATK 300/DEF 200
Jaden: That'll do for now.
Chazz: Why'd you bring him out Jaden? You planning to dust around here?
Winged Kuriboh became mad at Chazz's comment and flittered about angrily.
Chazz: What, did I hurt his feelings?
Ojama Yellow: It's okay if you did boss. I mean those furballs give the creeps, just look at him. I mean all that hair. Where do these monsters come from? So weird.
Chazz: Get lost! If I wanted someone's opinion, I wouldn't ask for yours, got it?!
Ojama Yellow: I got it boss.
Winged Kuriboh jumped onto Jaden's shoulder and pointed out Ojama Yellow.
Jaden: What did you say? Chazz has a duel spirit?
He looked in Chazz's direction and saw Ojama Yellow trying to hide behind him.
Jaden: So Chazz, who's your little friend?
Chazz began flailing around in a desperate attempt to get rid of Ojama Yellow.
Chazz: It's nothing! Just a figment of your imagination! Nothing to see here! No duel spirits at all!
He managed to catch Ojama Yellow and caused him to disappear.
Chazz: Now back to business. Armed Dragon LV 7, attack Winged Kuriboh!
His dragon raised its fist and smashed Winged Kuriboh.
Chazz: I'll leave it at that.
Syrus: Wait, why didn't Chazz use his Armed Dragon's special ability?
Bastion: Because all it would've accomplished was wasting one of Chazz's cards. Due to Winged Kuriboh's special ability, its controller takes no damage during the turn it's destroyed, so Jaden wouldn't have taken any damage if Chazz destroyed Kuriboh using Armed Dragon's effect.
Jaden: My go! And I activate Pot of Greed!
Syrus: Come on Jaden. Draw a winner!
Jaden: Sweetness! I play the spell Special Hurricane! By sending a card in my hand to the graveyard, all monsters on the field that were special summoned are destroyed!
A strong gust of wind shot from Jaden's spell at Chazz's Armed Dragon, destroying it on the spot.
Chazz: No way! It can't be!
Jaden: Oh it be, Chazz. And now you be in some big-time trouble, because your best monster is off the field and you're all alone on it.
Michael: Talk about a lucky draw.
Zane: At this point, we could safely assume that "lucky" is Jaden's middle name.
Jaden: And now, I summon Elemental Hero Wildheart!
Level 4/Earth/Warrior
ATK 1500/DEF 1600
Jaden: And now Chazz, you're in for some heartbreak! Actually, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Just attack.
Wildheart drew his sword and struck the ground at Chazz's feet, setting off an explosion that sent him flying.
Chazz: 2100 LP
Sheppard: Haha! The prize is so mine! After all, it looks like your boy is down for the count. Sorry.
Foster: Grrr! Oh no he's not, Chazz, get up!
NAS: Chazz, get up! Chazz, get up!
Slade: Jagger, what does Chazz think he's doing? We gave him the best cards in the world, and he didn't even use them! And if that wasn't bad enough, now he's losing to some nobody from the lowest ranked dorm at this backwater academy, and on national television!
Chazz: It's…my…turn. I play the spell Graveyard in the Fourth Dimension! With it, I'll return Armed Dragon LV 3 and 7 to my deck. Next, I summon another Armed Dragon LV 3 in defense mode. I'll place one card face-down and end my turn. I have to win this. I can't let my brothers down.
Flashback Jagger: World domination is ours for the taking.
FB Slade: You need to become Duel Monsters' best.
Chazz: I'm trying!
Jaden: Trying what? To weird me out? Hello? Earth to Chazz. Wait, his brothers. That's why Chazz was freaking out in the locker room. Because of all the pressure his brothers have put on him. Poor guy. He's gotta realize the only thing worth dueling for is fun. And the only way to do that is for me to win. I draw! Wildheart, attack that Armed Dragon! Wild Slash!
Chazz: Thanks for that Jaden, because now I can play my trap card. Go, Grave of Enkindling! Since you destroyed one of my monsters in battle, we can both summon a monster from our graveyard in defense mode. I choose my Armed Dragon LV 5.
Syrus: That card made that way too easy. It's practically unfair. Isn't there any drawback to using it?
Bastion: If I remember correctly, the monsters summoned with its effect can't change their battle modes. But with that Armed Dragon's special ability, that's a moot point.
Chazz: What are you waiting for? Resurrect one of your monsters. Even though it'll be a round trip.
Jaden: Fine Chazz. But I won't be summoning one monster, I'll be summoning three!
Chazz: How? Grave of Enkindling only lets you summon one monster.
Jaden: Just watch. I summon Hero Kid in defense mode!
Level 2/Earth/Warrior
ATK 300/DEF 600
Chazz: When did that card get in your graveyard? Wait, that's the card you discarded to activate Special Hurricane, isn't it?
Jaden: You bet. And due to Hero Kid's special ability, when he's special summoned, I can bring out my other Hero Kids from my deck. So I'm summoning two more Hero Kids! Next, I'll throw down a face-down and call it a turn!
Chazz: I see. By summoning three monsters, you think I'll have to discard three cards to destroy them, right? You wish. I don't have to discard three cards, I just have to play one!
Syrus: That doesn't sound good.
Chazz: I play the spell card Level Up! This card lets me send a level monster I control to the graveyard to summon its next form straight from my deck. So by sending Armed Dragon LV 5 to the graveyard, I can once again summon Armed Dragon LV 7!
Slade: Yes!
Foster: Yes!
Zane: No! With that dragon back, Chazz can destroy all of Jaden's monsters in one hit.
Chazz: Listen up Jaden, because I've been waiting to say this for a long time. I've got my game on, and I'm about to turn yours off!
Camera man: That's it baby! Keep it up, because the whole world is watching you shine!
Chazz: Then keep the camera rolling, 'cause you ain't seen nothing yet. I play the Armed Changer equip spell. By discarding another equip spell from my hand, I can equip this card to my Armed Dragon. Now, attack Wildheart with Dragon Driller!
Jaden: 300 LP
Chazz: Now the effect of Armed Changer activates. Since my Armed Dragon destroyed your monster in battle, I can add a monster from my graveyard to my hand, as long as the attack points of the monster I add are less than or equal to the attack points of my Armed Dragon, so I add Masked Dragon to my hand. But it's gonna be a round trip, because I'm discarding it to activate my Armed Dragon's special ability, which means all your Hero Kids are destroyed. Go, Serrated Sonic Discs!
Syrus: They're all gone!
Chazz: Looks like your Hero Kids just got grounded. Grounded up that is. Tell you what, if you surrender now, I promise not to embarrass you on global tv. Oh wait, I just did!
Sheppard: Jaden, keep fighting! Don't give up!
Jaden: Who's given up? I mean, I'm having way too much fun to quit now. After all, that's what dueling is all about. It doesn't matter if you win or lose, as long as you had fun while you played.
Chazz: Gag me.
Jaden: It's true. And if I can have fun losing, shouldn't you able to when you're winning? It's seriously not that hard. Despite what your brothers want you to believe.
Chazz: What do you know about my brothers?
Jaden: Well for starters, Chazz, I know they're the ones you're dueling for. As well as the ones putting all this pressure on you to win. Come on Chazz, remember when you dueled for the excitement of it?
Chazz: I only duel to win.
Jaden: Well we'll see what that gets you. I draw! And it's just the draw I needed. I play the spell The Warrior Returning Alive! With it, I'll return Elemental Hero Avian from my graveyard to my hand.
Michael: Sweet, with that move, Jaden has everything he needs to summon-
Jaden: I summon Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!
Level 6/Wind/Warrior
ATK 2100/DEF 1200
Chazz: So what? He doesn't stand a ghost of a chance against my Armed Dragon.
Jaden: You know Chazz, it's funny you mention ghosts, because your Armed Dragon is about have a close encounter with one. Make that three.
Chazz: Say what?
Jaden: I play the trap Miracle Kids! This trap reduces the attack points of one of your monsters by 400 for each Hero Kid in my graveyard, which means your Armed Dragon loses 1200 attack points!
Three specters came out of Jaden's graveyard and flew into Armed Dragon, taking away some of its power.
Armed Dragon: 2800-1600 ATK
Jaden: Now who's outmatched? Actually, don't answer that, Flame Wingman will for ya. Go, Infernal Rage!
Camera man: Chazz is gonna lose! Cut the transmission! Do it now!
Chazz: 1600 LP
Syrus: Awesome! Armed Dragon is down for the count!
Lily: And so is Chazz. Due to Flame Wingman's special ability, Chazz now takes damage equal to his Armed Dragon's attack points.
Chazz: 0 LP
Chazz: Noooo!
Jaden: That's game, Chazz.
Slade and Jagger walked up to Chazz, and they were furious.
Slade: You loser! You dog! You embarrassed yourself, you disgraced the Princeton name!
Jagger: You are no brother of ours anymore.
Chazz: Please, just give me another chance.
Jagger: Another chance? Do you know how much we spent on this duel?
Slade: The cameras, the rare cards! None of which you used, I might add!
Chazz: I'm sorry. I wanted to prove I could win on my own.
Jagger grabbed Chazz by the collar and pulled him to his feet.
Jagger: On your own?!
Slade: When could you do anything on your own Chazz?!
Jaden: Let him go. Yeah, sure he lost, but how could he not with the two of you piling so much pressure on him.
Jagger: Who are you to talk to us like that? Do you have any idea who we are? We could have you crushed, kid.
Slade: Why defend Chazz anyway? He's a nobody now. Disowned by us, and by the whole world. I mean the cameras caught enough of it. He got creamed!
Jaden: Wrong. Chazz may not have won the duel, but he fought it on his own terms. It's like he said, he used his cards, not the ones you bought.
Jagger let go of Chazz and he and Slade left.
Jaden: Tight duel Chazz. And I know it's cheesy, but I think we both won here.
Chazz: You're just saying that. I mean come on, nobody else believes that.
All students: We do, Chazz! Chazz it up! Chazz it up!
Later on, the North Academy students were getting ready to leave.
Jaden: Well Chazz, don't forget to write.
Chazz: Jaden, I'm not going back. Look guys, I don't belong with you. Duel Academy is where I belong, if you'll have me back Chancellor.
Sheppard: We would be glad to have you back Chazz.
Chazz reached into his pocket and pulled out the Armed Dragon cards.
Chazz: Here Chancellor Foster, you should take these back.
Foster: No Chazz. You earned those cards. They're yours now.
Chazz: Are you sure?
Foster: I am. Besides, no matter where you are or what school you attend, you will always be North Academy's top duelist.
Chazz: Thank you Chancellor.
Crowler: May I have your attention please? And now, to present the prize of this year's match between North Academy and Central Duel Academy, I give you the most beautiful woman on the island, Miss Duel Academy!
Jaden: Sounds promising.
Syrus: Jaden, be my wingman?
Crowler: Here she is!
A platform rose up, revealing Miss Duel Academy to be-
Jaden: Miss Dorothy is Miss Duel Academy?!
Crowler: Will the winning Chancellor please come up on stage?
Sheppard walked up on stage and next to Dorthy, who proceeded to kiss him on the cheek.
Jaden: A kiss from Dorothy? That's the big prize you were talking about?
Foster broke out in uncontrollable sobs after having to watch Dorothy give the prize to Sheppard again.
Foster: I can't watch! Wait for me, my lady! I'll be back next year!
After a tearful farewell, mostly from Foster, the North Academy students left.
Sheppard: There is one thing, Chazz.
Chazz: What's that?
Sheppard: Banner.
Banner: Since you dropped out of Duel Academy and are now coming back, you are technically a new student, which means you must start in the red dorm.
Chazz: Slifer?
Banner: Welcome to the dorm. We'll get you fitted for a blazer as soon as we get back to the dorm. Then we'll find you a roommate.
Chazz: Roommate?! Look here, Chazz Princeton rooms alone. You guys got that?
Syrus: Alone huh? Do cockroaches count?
Chazz: Cockroaches?!
Jaden: Yeah, we've got a few. As well as a couple of rats.
Chazz: Rats?! I changed my mind! Turn the sub around!
Jaden: Hey guys, why don't we give Chazz the official Slifer cheer?
Chazz: I don't want it!
Everyone: S! L! I! F! E!
Chazz: Can we just stick with Chazz it up?
Everyone: Or Slifer it up!
Chazz: This stinks. My new family is already dysfunctional.
