Seth was in a good mood that night. That scary experience from a year ago would always follow him but at least he now understood a bit better. He had been a random target of a group living on the streets. It had been nothing personal.
He finished his beer and opened a second one. He rarely drank but today it was needed. He wasn't going to get drunk. He wouldn't have a third beer. His pizza would arrive soon anyway, and he would finish the night playing video games.
Knocking sounded on the door. He walked out to open, expecting to see the pizza delivery guy there. Instead three familiar faces stood waiting. The two blonde men grabbed him and pushed him back into the house. He dropped the beer on the floor and felt his socks get wet from the liquid splashing out of the bottle. Malvina closed the door behind her, took out her knife and smirked at him.
"What the fuck?" He asked.
"Hi, tiger," she said. "Here we are again. You know how this dance goes."
"What the fuck is going on?" He asked.
She placed the knife against his throat and he went quiet. Those ice blue eyes had that cruel look back in them. He realized that everything he had seen earlier today had been an act. She had never cleaned up her path or gotten a job. It was all an act to get to him somehow.
"I can play any man," she said. "While you were busy buying my story of being a new woman, my friends here waited outside to follow you home."
"What do you want?" He asked.
"Your money of course. Duh!" She rolled her eyes. "This time you're gonna take out your phone and wire everything to me."
"You can't make me," he said.
"I know I can't," she said. "But you can't make me leave you alive either. You kinda need me here, tiger. Your money for your life."
"Fine!" He growled. "I'll give you everything."
"Good call," she said.
She removed the knife but kept standing too close for his comfort. He found his phone and logged into his netbank. The two blonde men were behind him, looking over his shoulders and making sure he wouldn't try anything.
"Why now? Why after all this time?" He asked.
"I'm in a bit of trouble. You see, the last guy I tried to rob refused to play ball. I accidentally killed him and now I need enough money to get away and stay away for good," she said.
"Accidentally?" He asked.
"Maybe," she chuckled. "You will be accidentally killed too if you don't stop talking and wire me my money."
One of the blondes handed him a note with a bank account number. He gritted his teeth in anger and wired everything to the account. He turned his phone to prove it to her.
"There," he said. "Happy now?"
"Very happy," she said. "Good job, tiger. You get to live another day."
"I'm fucking moving," he mumbled.
"I won't be back," she said.
"I have a hard time believing anything that comes out of your mouth," he said.
She chuckled and leaned in to place a kiss on his lip. He turned his head so she hit his cheek instead. He might not be able to do anything to hurt her, but no way he would let her assault him on top of everything.
"Please, leave," he said.
"I bet in any other scenario, I would have rocked your world," she said.
"Get out," he whispered.
"Let's go, boys," she said.
The two blondes passed him and walked out of the house. She stopped in the open door, smirked once again and took a bow.
"Show's over, tiger," she said. "Thank you for playing."
"Leave me the fuck alone!" He growled.
She laughed and turned around.
"Oh, pizza's here," she said. "Enjoy it."
She ran past the pizza delivery guy and out on the street. Seth ran to the open door to see the three people sprint away. Of course they weren't in a car so he couldn't report a license plate. Once again they had gotten one over him, only this time they had cleaned him of everything.
"Ehm, pizza," the delivery guy said.
"Thanks," Seth mumbled.
He grabbed the pizza and slammed the door in the poor delivery guy's face. Even if he wanted to tip the delivery guy, he couldn't. He had nothing left. At least he had paid online when ordering so he could actually get the damn pizza.
He walked to the kitchen, threw the pizza box on the table, sank down on a chair and called 911. He felt so ashamed as his fingers dialed the three numbers. He had allowed himself to buy her lie, only to be fooled even further. If he ever saw her again, he would drag her to the nearest police station by her hair. He knew he would never see her again, but right now that was all he had left. The hope of finally getting his revenge on this woman one day.
"911, what is your emergency?" A voice asked.
"She did it again," he said lowly.
"Who did what, sir? Can you tell me your name?" The woman asked.
He let out a deep sigh and cleared his throat.
"My name is Seth Rollins," he said. "I just had three people attack me in my home and steal my money. Two men and a woman named Malvina. That fucking bitch got to me again. She fucking played me."
