Remus, Tonks, and Severus ran over to Harry. Severus picked up his wrist and checked for a pulse. He had one and Severus nodded. Remus picked Harry up and placed him on the other couch. Thanks grabbed a cold rag and placed it on Harry's head. Remus then said,
"Severus, please make sure the other students make it back to the dorms. Then come back we may need you." Severus nodded. Hermione kidded Harry & left Neville, Ginny, Ron, & Luna. Once they had left Remus looked at Tonks. She shrugged.
Meanwhile Lucius and Bellatrix arrived back at Malfoy Manor. Voldemort asked,
"Where is the brat and my prophecy?" Lucius spoke first,
"Well you see my lord what happened was we arrived and ambushed the group of kids. It was Potter and some of his bratty friends. Then as we were fighting we noticed some of the kids getting taller and their features changing. Then Bellatrix noticed that one was Tonks and another one was Sirius Black. That's when we realized that it wasn't Potter and his friends but several Aurors. It was a trick. So I ordered everyone out. Most of the Death eaters left but a few stupid ones stayed behind." Bellatrix jumped in saying,
"I went back to drag the idiots home but when I saw my cousin by a black veil of death I couldn't pass up the opportunity to kill him. So I shot a spell at him hitting him in the chest and he fell towards the veil. Then Remus Lupin of all people grabbed him and swung him across the room. Then he fired a spell back at me. Roudolphus bravely jumped in front of me and it hit him. This caused him to fall to his death into the veil. Then after another 20 minutes they all vanished and that is when we came back." Voldemort's face grew red with anger as they talked. When Bellatrix finally stopped talking, Voldemort started screaming! (This caused Harry to scream out as well.) Voldemort yelled,
"Why that little brat! I will kill him if it's the last thing I do!" He then stood from his chair and said, " I will end you Harry Potter I will end you!" He then began to laugh maniacally. Bellatrix and Lucius joined him.
When Voldemort screamed, Harry sat up and screamed. Then he fell back down. This caused Sirius to sit up with a start.
"What the hell was that?" Remus looked at Sirius and said,
"It's Harry! He collapsed when he was getting ready to leave and we think he is having a nightmare of some sort but we are unsure." Sirius got up off the couch and walked over to the other cough where Harry was. He got down next to his godson. He grabbed Harry's hand and rubbed his head. After a few minutes, Harry opened his eyes. He looked around and saw Tonks, Remus, and Sirius just looking at him. He tried to sit up but Tonks stopped him. Just then there was a knock at the door. Remus flicked it open with his wand. Severus walked in and walked over to the group. Harry looked at the adults and said,
"What's going on?" Remus was the first to speak,
"We were hoping you could shed some light on this for us. What is the last thing you remember?" Harry thought for a minute then said,
"I remember Remus and Sirius coming back and Sirius had a concussion. Then Tonks came back and said that everyone was safe. I remember getting up to leave and then my entire body heated up and I got a sharp shooting pain in my head. Then everything went black." Tonks then said,
"Did you see or hear anything while you were out?"
" I heard Voldemort talking to people. Then he got mad and began scream. He said, I will kill him if it's the last thing I do. I will kill Harry Potter!" Sirius just looked at the adults then said,
"You saw and heard all of this in your head buddy?" Harry nodded and Severus looked at Tonks, Remus, and Sirius and said,
"With your permission I would like to try something." Sirius looked at him and said,
"What do you want to do?"
"I wan to try to look in Harry's head and see if he can block me." Tonks, Remus, and Sirius nodded. Harry swallowed and nodded. Severus stepped back from Harry and pulled out wand. He cast 'Legilimens' Harry felt the spell hit him and he was shoved back into the couch. Harry saw a flash of green light and the scream of a women that he had not heard in years. Severus knew exactly what memory he had accidentally unlocked and he immediately pulled out of Harry's head. Once Harry calmed down Severus said,
"Harry I am so sorry I didn't mean to make you see that."
"It's okay Professor Snape, that was just a memory that I haven't though about in 14 years."
"With your permission I would like to work with Harry more once the school year starts up again. The three adults nodded and Remus walked Harry back to Gryffindor. Once inside Harry was immediately surrounded by his friends. Hermione was the first one to say speak,
"Harry are you oaky?"
"Yes I am okay. Apparently Voldemort got mad at his death eaters for not bringing me to him and the prophecy."
" I am glad that you are okay! Let's get some sleep we have more OWLS in the morning." Hermione said. Harry agreed and everyone went to bed. The rest of the week flew by with very little activity. There was a minor incident during the Potions Owl. Harry overheard two Slytherins whispering about swapping out one of Neville's ingredients with one that would mess up his potion causing him to fail. Harry Tried to get Kingsley's attention with no luck. So he decided to take matters into his own hands. He waved his hand over his own potion so it would stir itself and quickly wrote Neville a note. He walked over and handed it to him. Harry then walked over to a cabinet and grabbed a vial and walked back to his table. Neville read the note, looked back at Harry and nodded. Kingsley finally turned around and Harry raised his hand. Kinglets walked over to him and Harry whispered what he had heard. Kingsley walked over to where the two Slytherins were about to swap the item and led them to the door of the Great Hall. He then opened the door and kicked them out. He stopped their potions from brewing. Harry and all of his friends passed their OWLS. The last night before leaving Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred, and George, Neville, & Luna were all hanging out in the room of requirement playing cards.
Meanwhile Draco had asked Ginny to meet him by the black lake. Draco had liked Ginny for a while and he had finally decided to tell her. Ginny got Draco's note and thought to herself she would finally be able to tell him how she felt. Draco and Ginny arrived at the lake at the same time. Draco said,
"Hi Ginny thanks for coming. There is something I wanted to talk to you about."
"No problem. There is actually something I wanted to talk to you about too."
"You go first Ginny!"
"No you go first Draco." They smiled and both said,
"I like you and have for a while!" They were both shocked at the fact that they both liked each other. Draco then said,
"You really like me? I figured it was all in my head. I mean with my family being Death Eaters and all." Ginny smiled and said,
"Draco you are one of the sweetest, most caring, smartest person I know. You put Torres first and you can't change who your parents are. You are so much better than them." Draco smiled and said,
"You are amazing Ginny. Your parents must be so proud of you. You are amazing, beautiful, smart, and funny. I love that way your hair shines when the sun hits it. I love your smile especially your dimples." Ginny blushed and said,
"My uncle and Aunt are proud of me. Do you really like my hair is pretty?"
"Yes it is amazing. I forgot you were living with your Aunt and Uncle. I am sorry about your parents."
"It's okay Aunt Molly and Uncle Arthur are more like my parents to than my actual parents were actual parents were so I don't mind."
"So I guess what I am trying to say is Ginny will you be my girlfriend?"
"Of course Draco, I would love to be your girlfriend." Ginny leaned in and kissed Draco. She leaned back and Draco pulled her back towards him and the two of them kissed for a minute. Draco then said,
"We should probably go find the others. It is the last night before summer break."
"Yeah they are probably in the room of requirement." Draco took Ginny's hand and led her back to the castle and to the room of requirement. They walked in and almost immediately Fred looked at George and said,
"You owe me five galleons." Gorge pulled out five galleons and handed it to Fred. Ginny looked at her brothers and said,
"What the hell was that about?"
" We made a bet. Fred bet that you would have a boyfriend before you turned 15 and I said that you were going to wait. Based on the fact that you and Draco walked in holding hands I am going with the fact that you two are dating." Ginny smiled and nodded. Draco smiled and kissed Ginny's hand. The group talked until curfew. The train ride the next day was too fast. Harry was going to spend the first part of the summer with Sirius at Grimmauld Place. Sirius met Harry at the station and the two of them apparted back home.
Later that night at dinner Harry asked,
"So how are you doing?"
"Good, I am glad that I get to spend the first part of your summer break with you."
"So how did I you end up finally getting your name cleared? Also what exactly happened? You never told me." Sirius cleared his throat and said,
"Well after your parents found out that Voldemort was after them, they went into hiding. A former friend suggested that your parents change their secret keeper to him." Harry got a puzzled look on his face. He then asked,
"What is a secret Keeper?"
"A secret keeper is used when a witch, wizard or wizarding family needs to go into hiding. I was your parents secret keeper and this former friend suggested that because Voldemort was aware of my relationship to your parents that they switch it to him. Now the point of the secret keeper is to keep the location of the person/people a secret. Peter was the only one who knew where you and your parents were, no one else; not me, Tonks not even Arthur. We didn't find out where they were until it was too late. By the time your father's patronus arrived alerting us of the attack it was too late by the time we got there. You were gone and your parents were dead. I went after Peter to find out how Voldemort found out where they were only to find out that Peter was working for Voldemort the whole time. I went back to Grimmauld place, called Remus and told him what I found out. We tried to find you but we couldn't. I got word someone had spotted Peter in a muggle village, so I went to confront him. I wasn't planning on killing him just yelling and possibly hexing hum for killing two or my best friends. When I found him I began to yell at him. Then he pulled out his wand and began to firing spells at me. I blocked and fired back at him. After a few minutes, Peter pulls out a knife and chopped off one of his fingers and then turned into his animagus form, which was a rat. He then vanished and I got blamed for his murder. All they found was his finger. I was arrested and taken to Azkaban. I begged and begged for a trail. Arthur knew that I wan't capable of killing anyone and so he said that I could stayed her on house arrest until my trial. I finally convinced the board to use Veritaserum on me to prove I was telling the truth. Then last summer I was still proven innocent. I am just glad that everything is finally done and over with. Now I get to spend time with you buddy." Harry smiled and said,
"Wow that is a lot of info. I am also glad that you are free and don't have to worry about going back to Azkaban. I have another question." Sirius swallowed the food in his mouth and said,
" Shoot buddy!"
"You, Remus, my dad and mom were all in Gryffindor right?" Sirius nodded. "Professor Snape was in Slytherin right?" Once again Sirius nodded. "So how did you guys met and become such good friends?"
"Well Lily and Severus grew up together and so when we all got to Hogwarts she introduced us and we became friends. The rest of the Slytherins hated him for being friends with us and made his life a living nightmare. Professor Dippet said that even though Severus couldn't switch houses he was allowed to eat with us, hang out with us whenever. He wasn't allowed in the Gryffindor common room but we were given our own room in the library and then James and I stumbled upon the room of requirement and we spent every waking hour there other than meals, classes, and sleeping."
"So you guys protected him when he had no one else?"
"Yes we became a family to him. His home life wasn't the greatest but that is not for me to tell."
"So this may seem a little out there but you were there when my dad got back from Malfoy Manor sixth year. How bad was he?" Sirius sighed and sat back in his chair. He crossed his arms looked Harry in the face and said,
"James was very badly beaten and he had a slash from the right side of his stomach down to his well you know. He was covered in blood and down there was so mush blood. By the time Remus and I got him cleaned up enough to assess the damage we realized that he only had on ball and that the damage was pretty bad. We knew that he needed stitches and so we told Professor Dumbledore who took him to St. Mungos. He was stitched up and given a lot of blood replenishes. He was back the next day. He met with Lily and told her that he wouldn't' be able to have kids and she told him that she loved him anyways and that they could adopt one day. Then after we graduated we were all talking alone night, your mom, dad, Remus, Tonks, Severus, and myself; Remus asked your parents wanted to do in vitro fertilization and use his sperm to have a baby. Your parents talked about it for a month before they decided to take him up on his offer. It took a couple of rounds but once Lily got pregnant we decided that if you turned out to be a werewolf we would explain things to you when you tuned 13. Your parents knew that there was a chance but I guess everything worked out."
"I don't turn into a werewolf during the full moons like Remus but I have the the sense of smell and hearing like he does."
"Really that is good to know. Tonks and Remus didn't tell me that."
" I first noticed it when I was about 5 or 6 and I could hear/smell Dudley before he could sneak up on me. It would freak him out when I moved out of his way or run and hid."
"Good to know. So any other questions for me buddy?" Harry thought for a minute then said,
"Nope! I am goof for now." Harry and Hermione sent letters back and forth all summer. Ginny and Draco did the same until the beginning of July when Draco quit responding.
Malfoy Manor July 5th
Lucius walked into the Irving room to find Draco reading a book. He stepped in front of his son and cleared his throat. Draco looked up form his book and said,
"Yes Father what can I do for you?"
"I never got the chance to give you your 16th birthday present. Come with me!" Draco closed his book and followed his father to a room in the back of the manor that was normally off limits. The only thing in the room was a chair with a small table next to it. Lucius motioned towards the chair. Draco sat down not wanting to upset his father by questioning him. As soon as he sat down his arms, legs and head were magically bound to where he couldn't move. Some dark mist appeared and several death eaters appeared along with Voldemort. Bellatrix set a black bag down on the table. Draco knew this couldn't be good. Voldemort took Draco's left arm and turned it over so his forearm was facing up. He then began to rub his arm. Draco looked at his father who had a straight face. Just then Narcissa opened the door. As she did she said,
"Lucius have you seen my…" Narcissa stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Draco in the chair. "Lucius what are you doing to my son?"
"Bellatrix get your sister out of here!" Bellatrix grabbed Narcissa's arm and dragged her out of the room. She could be heard screaming down the hall. Lucius turned to Voldemort and said, "He is ready; do it!" Voldemort turned and smiled evilly at Draco. Draco swallowed and braced him self. A few minutes later, Draco's scream could be heard throughout the manor. Narcissa sat in her room and cried.
The second half of the summer Harry spent with Tonks, Remus, and Teddy. He also got to help plan his 16thbirthday. He was very excited. He wanted to invite a bunch of his friends over to play Quidditch and go swimming. The decided to have the party at Grimmauld Place. Harry invited Hermione, Ginny, Ron, Fred, George, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, Draco, Luna, and Neville. He also invited Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape. Everyone replied yes with the experience of Draco. The day of the party arrived and Harry was woken up by a five year old bouncing on him.
"Happy Birthday Harry! Get up, get up!
"Morning Teddy. Thanks." Harry gently rolled over and grabbed his glasses. He put then on and sat up. Then he noticed Tonks and Remus standing in the doorway smiling. They walked over to the bed sat on either side of Harry. Tonks took Teddy in her lap.
"Happy 16th birthday Cub! We have a present for you before we go to Grimmauld Place. This is something your parents had made a father you were born." Remus made a small box appear. Harry took the box and opened it. He pulled out a statue of a family of deer, a stag, a doe, and a fawn. Harry looked at it for a few minutes the he realized then he realized the significance of it. His eyes began to fill with tears. He wiped them off his face and placed to statue on the shelf across form his bed. They apparated to Grimmauld Place. Harry and his friends had a blast at the party. Sirius gave Harry a photo album of his parents. Hermione got him a book about famous Quidditch players. The Weasleys gave him a family photo of them. Luna gave him a book of magical creatures with lots of pictures. Neville got him a picture book about Herbology. Harry and his friends decided to end the night by watching a movie on the lawn.
Draco walked back to his room after his first death eater meeting and sat down on his bed. His left forearm was still hurting even thought it had been almost a month. After a few minutes Narcissa knocked on the door. Draco said,
"Come in." Narcissa walked in, closed the door, and cast 'Silencio' on the room. She then walked over to the bed and sat down next to her son. Draco looked at him mom and she said,
" I am so sorry baby! I didn't know that your father was planning on marking you. Here this should help." She pulled a small tube out of her pocket and held out her hand for his arm. Draco placed his arm on his mother's rubbed some of the cream on his arm.
"That feels much better thanks mama. I don't know what to do. Dad said that know that I am a death eater Harry is my number one enemy. He is one of my best friends and I can't imagine hurting him not after everything that he has been through."
"Do you want my advice?" Draco nodded,
"Yes mama."
"I would pull him and your other friends aside and explain what happened and let them know that anything mean you say or do you don't mean it. You don't have a choice. I know that they will understand." Draco then stood up and began to pace and said,
"Oh Merlin! How am I going to explain this to my girlfriend." Draco looked at his mom and realized he had said that out loud. Narcissa said,
"You have a girlfriend? Draco swallowed and nodded.
"We just started dating at the end of last year but we have been friends since my second year her first."
"Well who is she?" Draco swallowed again.
"Ginny Weasley."
