After two years, the Hyūga ex-heiress thought she'll also knit Naruto something, she remembers him sacrificing his red scarves saving her as a kid from the bullies.
The story as we know it (The Last movie). Naruto saved her and Hanabi from Toneri. Naruto knew she loved him all her life from a Genjutsu on the way to the moon. He woke up from his oblivion. He admitted that he SUDDENLY became in love with her too.
They kissed in front of the saved moon. Sasuke appeared, wearing her Poncho, and saved Konoha from a destructive meteor.
That, after he saved Hiashi from the desert he was left injured in.
Sasuke saw the show on the moon as the rest of Konoha. He saw the kiss, he felt something in his heartache. Why does it feel like that realizing they got together? He knew about her feelings for Naruto. But now they are together somehow he doesn't like it. Is this jealousy? Why would I be jealous? What is this?
He knew from Kakashi the full story of what happens on the moon with Toneri. He activated his Rennigan eye and appeared to him on the moon, his hand on his collar.
"How dare you kidnap Hinata and her sister, take Hanabi's eyes, and attempt to marry Hinata against her will after you torment her?"
"We settled everything with the previous lover… who are you?" He spoke with a soft, whispering, annoying voice.
"I'm your death if you ever think to hurt her or any Hyūga or anyone from Konoha. I'll keep an eye on you" also whispered Sasuke gritting his teeth.
"Like I said we are ok now, I understand my mistake and my crime against the Hyūga Princesses. It won't happen again." He declared.
"You should be happy you had to deal with Naruto first. I'm not as merciful" With that Sasuke disappeared as he came.
A few months after the incident Naruto and Hinata got married. Sasuke was happy for them. As happy as he could be for his brother. But he didn't intend the wedding ceremony. He, first of all, hates crowds. Second of all, he can't see her as a bride.
He can't do this, it's too much for his emotional stability, he has concluded. Maybe later he'll meet them and congratulate his friends personally. But for now, he'll send his hawk with a congratulation note for the couple.
A month later he gets a message from the council instructing him to be in the village urgently.
The urgent matter was that the council wants him to donate his seeds to the laboratory of Konoha, to guarantee the availability of an individual with the dangerous sharingan, to defend the village.
He is the last Uchiha, the strongest clan in Konoha and a very important asset for the protection of the village's future.
After the events of the war and the exploding people. It's fundamental to have the line of the Uchiha survive. But because he is not doing anything to restore the clan. Sasuke must leave that to Konoha to deal with. His life is in danger and they cannot risk it.
Sakura heard of the matter from Shizune. She wanted to talk to Sasuke. They met in her office in the hospital.
After a little chit chat. She brought the matter up.
" I know what the council wants to do, I'm sure a lot of women will pay to have a handsome, prodigy Uchiha kid." She noted smiling.
He transferred them to a bench with a beach view. It looks amazing.
"Sasuke-kun?" she was so surprised. Will He propose to me?
"I don't want anyone to hear us. "
After a moment of silence.
"Are you one of those women? " He shocked her with his straightforward question, she hadn't thought about it. Of course, she wants to be his wife and bear their kids. This is confusing. What does he mean exactly?
She thought about it a little then she said sadly "if there is absolutely no other way" she knows she is an idiot. Why has he such an influence on her, damn it? Guys are waiting in line for her, but all she could think about is this dark-haired, gorgeous, smart asshole.
Will she really do it and be a single mother? That is a probability with any other man. At least with his kid connecting them, she'll be more than a teammate to Sasuke, she'll be THE mother of his child. Only she will have this privilege. The council won't ask for more if she gets pregnant. And he is not interested in any women, probably.
"Think about it" he spoke "You must know, I won't have sex with you. It's all in the laboratory." He transferred them back to her office and left before she could say anything.
He went to Naruto and Hinata's apartment. She was so happy to see him and so was Naruto. He congratulated them and gave them a gift. After a little catching up. He asked her about the house. She was excited for them to see it. Naruto had some work to do with Kakashi as Hokage training.
Hinata and Sasuke went to the Uchiha District. He found a gate with Uchiha Fans all over. After the gate, there was a road of stone between sakura trees. After the road appeared a wooden house surrounded by a garden, a fish pond and a training ground. When they entered the house the smell of freshly polished wood, tatami and... her smell, lavender, was all over the house. He doesn't mind, he loves how she smells. The emotions got out of control again and he felt a little depressed after he was happy a while ago.
All the while looking at him scanning for signs of distasteful. But he didn't, he looked surprised there was even a hint of happiness. She couldn't hold it any longer, she was jumping.
"What do you think? I must apologise, it's all like I imagined my home would look like. I hope it suits your taste!" she said happily.
"it's pleasant" he means It's amazing, stunning, beautiful. But probably Uchiha's don't use those words, ever.
She was satisfied with that; she could tell he likes it very much.
She gave him a tour of the house. He had nothing in the fridge yet so she invited him over for dinner.
Naruto wasn't at home yet; it's probably going to be late night. She cooked dinner while Sasuke was sitting awkwardly in their apartment, I shouldn't have come.
He asked what happened on the moon. She told him her side of the story.
"You probably know like everyone in Konoha, I had feelings for Naruto, I even told him I love him when Pain attacked. "
"Pain was attacking the village and you was talking about love" he asked surprised ' is she stupid'.
"It's not like it sounds, I was fighting Pain" she defended.
"WHAT that is even worse" he can't believe his ears.
"I know I was afraid I'd die before letting him know I love him." She blushed of how stupid it sounds.
"You fought… Pain" he whispered in a low voice after a moment of silence.
" Yes, to save Naruto, he was pinned down, he was about to die, when I jumped in front of Pain." She explained.
What is this woman made of, is she stupid, crazy, too brave or all of them.
" Please continue" he spoke after a while
" Yes, where were we? So, after Toneri kidnapped Hanabi. We went looking for her. There was a place in between worlds, between earth and the moon. There was a Genjutsu spell, we were all under it. So, Naruto saw in that Genjutsu, from my memories, that I loved him since I was a kid.
To be honest, I was focused on saving my little sister. And after he didn't answer my love, I was losing faith that there will ever be something between us. I got him out of my mind. I don't blush or faint anymore around him. I felt normal by his side as any other comrade but then suddenly he was in love with me. That is it." she looked to the ground.
"You know I visited Toneri?" After a moment, he said in monotone.
"Really? Why?" She was surprised.
"To show him not to mess with.. with the Hyūga or anyone from the village."
She knew he meant her and at most her sister. He could care less about the Hyūga or Konoha.
She blushed.
"By the way thank you so much for saving my father, you are a really good friend Sasuke-Kun"
"He helped me build that house, it is the least I can do. I see you are trapped in this little apartment. That home is yours as it is mine. You can visit anytime if I'm there or not. I'll give you a spare key"
He was looking forward to her visit. She was a good talker and listener. He enjoyed chatting with her. It's like he didn't leave the village for two years. Like she didn't get married. Their friendship didn't change.
The dinner was outstanding, it's been years since he ate homemade food like this. It reminds him of his mother's cooking. He told her so. She could swear, she saw hearts in his indifferent mismatched eyes.
He was bondaging his head with a fabric, covering his rinnegan eye with his bangs and still wearing the Poncho she made for him. She loved seeing him in it. Even though it was in a horrible state now. But it means Sasuke wore it a lot and it had served its purpose. She'll sew him a cape for the summer maybe. She knows he doesn't want to show his missing limb.
After dinner, he went to his new home loaded with leftovers and side dishes. Naruto, that lucky loser.
He thought about that crazy girl jumping in front of the mighty Pain. What people do for love is beyond him. He would never understand them. Inclusive you, Itachi. He thought.
Sakura heard of the Uchiha estate like everyone in the village. Though no one dared come near it. The place was haunted and a bad omen they claimed. But she doesn't believe in this absurdity.
She found him in the training ground behind the house. The house was cosy and traditional but not her preference. She liked living in an apartment that requires less cleaning and provided with all the modern equipment she needs. Will her child ' if she agrees to his proposal' live in this house? Will she? It's far from the hospital. She prefers something in the middle of the village.
She helped Kakashi with some paperwork this morning, he seemed happy and amused to see her. He is always so friendly and warm. Why can't Sasuke be like him?
The medic-nin thought long and deep about having a child like that. What would her parents say, (not like she cared much) what would the villagers say? How about Tsunady, who is more than a teacher to her? What about her? How fair is that to her? If she doesn't do it, thousands of other girls will be glad to connect to the lone Uchiha and be the Uchiha matriarch even if it was IVF.
It disturbed her that she would have a bastard child. Not like anyone cared in the village, it was the most normal thing. Kurenai-sensei has an adorable daughter with Asuma- sensei outside of marriage.
She is gone suggested it nonetheless. If Sasuke refuses, she will have his child anyway. Why is he making it so hard, why can't they just be in love, get married and have children like normal people?
The chances that it won't succeed on the first try are there. Maybe she should get Sasuke that drunk and then rape him. She giggled loudly. Nay, the man hates touching and physical contact, that is why he probably liked this idea. Above all, he approached her because he trusts her with his child. Plus, she is strong and smart.
After the greetings, she said "that is a lovely residence, now you need to have a Mistress".
He has nothing to say to that "Have you thought about the deal? ".
She shrugged a little ' a deal?'. It's a deal he is right. She is such an idiot to put herself in such situations. Damn you Uchiha. "Yes," she blushed.
"And?"
"I don't want a bastard child. We have to get married" she proposed.
"I agree, I have a few conditions myself. He said in a monotone.
After a while, he explained " you'll be Uchiha matriarch in front of the people, no one needs to know about the IVF. The marriage will be on paper, no wedding. We will act like a married couple. I want to stay in this estate. If you want you can live here with the child. You don't have to work if you like, I can provide for us and the child. I'm not bound to stay by your side, in fact, I may leave and never return to Konoha, I still have to think about that. You may divorce anytime you like. If I never come back, you are free to do what you want. The child is your responsibility but it'll be an Uchiha, not Haruno."
She thought for a moment about it. She will be in a fake marriage, acting in front of people. Or be alone all her life with her child. On the other hand, she'll be finally from a prominent ancient clan, unlike her civilian family. Have an Uchiha child with those incredible genes. And everyone will envy her thinking she owned the mysterious bachelor of Konoha, even Ino-pig.
"I accept" she finally spoke, blushing, looking at her feet.
"Alright, I'll prepare the paperwork. We can get married in a week and sign the documents. Then we will see about IVF."
A thought flashed in his mind when Sakura left. What would Hinata think about his marriage? Should he mention it to Naruto?
Sasuke left heading to his friend's apartment.
Hinata and Naruto were there at the wedding as witnesses. He shouldn't have told them. His heart was pounding for some reason, and he couldn't take his eyes of that crazy, stupid Hyūga girl. It's been long since he last saw her.
She seemed happy for them, but he could tell her smile was fake and her happiness wasn't pure. Naruto too. That is strange.
They went to celebrate afterwards.
They took off to a cafe for brunch and celebration. Hinata was facing Sasuke, Naruto next to her facing Sakura. He looked bored and uninterested. That is not how someone should look at his wedding celebration, the Hyūga ex-heiress thought.
If it wasn't for Sakura and Naruto who dragged him, he wouldn't come.
There was a thick bar underneath the table for foot support. Every time she puts her feet on the bar, she touches Sasuke's feet one way or the other. She would pull her feet away shyly but the temptation to rest her feet on the bar again was too big.
All of a sudden, she besieges one of his feet between hers. His eyes widened, surprised at her boldness then he smirked at her behaviour and in understanding. She giggled quietly, blushing a little.
The other two were too busy discussing to notice what was happening with the quiet couple. He left his feet between hers for the rest of the brunch not daring to shift. She was so sweet and pure like a child.
When he returned to the Uchiha compound all he could think of was her blushing smiling face and how she had controlled him with this daring simple act.
They were friends, he assumed but he has more emotions for her than just friends. Sakura was his friend too but he doesn't have those strong feelings towards her as he does Hinata.
He doesn't understand what this sensation is. He is not that good with feelings. He understands anger, rage, rivalry, and brother-love. But what the Hyūga means to him, his feelings for her, all of it is new.
Before returning home, he went with Sakura to the laboratory at the Hospital. She has work to do. He donated his seeds. Yes, he was turned on by Jiraya's novel. Actually, he took it with him to complete at home. He was bored at night alone.
Now we wait on Sakura's cycle to prepare the nesting of the collected ripe eggs in her womb. He got to admit that it was a truly daring action on her behalf to accept his terms and bear his child. He never thought she'd help restore his clan. Precisely he never thought of any women, he was too busy and occupied to think about this stuff.
He climbed on his futon with the dirty novel in hand to read. With the hope he won't get addicted like his old sensei.
The Hyūga ex-heiress made Bento boxes for Naruto, Sasuke and herself, they were to meet up at the training ground. They have been at it for a few hours now, they must be exhausted.
When she came, they were training some Taijutsu. Naruto's movements were strong and effective, while Sasuke's were efficient, swift and elegant. He was really beautiful to watch. She admired him for a while before they noticed her presence.
The Bentos were delightful. After they were full, Naruto and Sasuke lay on the grass while Hinata was sitting on a rock. Sasuke between them. They heard Naruto snoring and scratching his bump, it's embarrassing to see, but both are used to him.
Sasuke broke the silence "how did Neji die?"
She turned grim; you could tell this topic is hard for her to talk about, but he wanted to know.
She sighs "he died protecting me at the war, the ten-tailed beast was shouting debris, his weapons, at Naruto. He was out of chakra so I jumped in front of him as a reflex to protect him. He was all that matters in the war, my life was nothing compared to his. So thought Neji about me too. He was always protecting me; he was the best big brother I could ever have?"
A tear rolled from her eyes but she was smiling. His memories brought her joy for having such a loving brother and sadness for losing him.
Sasuke couldn't help but think about Itachi. How much he loved him and protected him.
"He reminds me of Itachi, he was a prodigy from a young age, and he sacrificed everything for me. For me to live in Konoha and become a shinobi. Big brothers are the best. He used to poke me on the forehead, like this" and he demonstrated the poke on her forehead, which made her giggle. "And he tells me 'Sorry Sasuke next time' every time I ask him to train me."
His excitement was obvious in his widened eyes, his Sharingan active from the overwhelming emotions.
He stayed a second like that, then he recalculated his action, why was he telling her all that? Why was she so easy to talk to? He doesn't have boundaries when he is with her, every action and every word is so easy, with no judgment and no restraint. He hates being in no control of his emotions, but this woman! What is she doing to me?
She went on " Neji was the prodigy of our clan too, he could have been the head of the clan if he wasn't from the branch family, Hanabi is super strong too, of course, she is the heiress and the future head of the clan. Father always brags about her and how perfect she is."
"And you are the black sheep?" He declared more than a question. Fugaku wasn't the only bad father and Sasuke wasn't the only one feeling like the black sheep in his family.
She felt uncomfortable but it was the truth. She nodded shyly then added, "I've got rid of the responsibilities of the clan plus I got to be a shinobi and go on missions with Kiba-Kun and Shino-kun and Kurenai-sensei." she smiled.
They had more in common than he thought. Dead protective, loving brothers, restricted unfair fathers, their families are the clan heads, prodigious siblings not to mention strong dojutsu and uneasy life of hard training from a young age with great expectations for their future.
Every day he feels they are the same person in two bodies, this conclusion astonished him. What is this? What is happening? Why hasn't he known about her before, before she becomes Naruto's? Is he really thinking of her this way? What would have happened if he knew all this about her earlier?
He thought about those questions all night. He couldn't find answers but he felt so related to the Hyūga girl. He wants to know more about her. He has to see her.
Sasuke wasn't thinking rationally for the first time. So, they are like each other on many levels. It doesn't mean she will be his.. his what? What does he want from her? She can't be anything except a friend and he must be content with that. She is his best friend's wife. He must never forget that.
