Please enjoy this small update to trying.
Kurumi and Shido walked down the street in silence. Shido looked over to the violent Spirit and saw her head was down. Sighing, Kurumi looked up and pouted, "What? Are you getting bored already? Maybe I should just leave an-"
"Kurumi, why did me saying I was giving up trying to help you upset you so much? What happened to the usual, sarcastic, violent girl who doesn't give a damn about anyone?" Kurumi frowned as she looked away, "I want to try and help, I do, but I'm getting tired of these games you keep playing, an-"
"You want to know?" Kurumi looked up and narrowed her eyes, "Because ever since I got my powers, people who I used to be able to count on…my parents, my friends…my teachers…they saw me as a violent, misbehaved girl and they all turned their backs on me. I tried to tell them that it was still me, but no one will listen…I might have killed tens of thousands, but I kept trying to find one person who didn't see me as the monster many made me out to be, and then I saw you, someone who didn't care if they were Spirit or human…you want to save everyone around you, regardless of what happens to you."
She sighed and shook her head, "But then…you gave up too…I feel like people just…give up on everyone around them just to-" feeling Shido pat the top of her head, she looked up with wide eyes, "W-what the hell do you think you're doing?"
"Why don't we go back to Fraxinus?" Shido suggested, shaking his head, "We can go into a relaxing environment and talk there." Kurumi hummed and nodded as Shido talked into the earpiece.
The two sat in a small room, two cups of tea resting on the table in front of them while Kurumi looked around with caution. She looked at Shido and sighed, "So what? Are you going to tell me to leave where your friends can-"
"I'm going to give you a choice," Shido sighed, looking up, "Allow me to Seal you, show you that the world isn't as cruel as you think, that you'll have people on your side who care about you, or…you can walk out that door right now. Reine will teleport you back to earth and you leave Tengu city, never to return…deal?"
The air between the two grew still before Kurumi sighed and shook her head, "What if I don't like living life like a normal girl? I've killed countless people, not to mention the deaths from all the Spacequakes I've caused, and even still, how can people look at me like none of that-"
"They won't forget, but they can forgive you if you at least try," Kurumi moaned, "The choice is yours in the end, what do you want to-" before he could finish, Kurumi quickly wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips against his, surprising him slightly as she felt her armor begin to fade.
The two separated and Kurumi panted as she hugged Shido and frowned, "Don't let go…I'm not ready for anyone to see me like this," Shido hummed and nodded as he wrapped his arms around her.
Well…I wanted to add another part here, but I can't find my notes for this series…enjoy.
